Ended up coming in super late when a storm was about to roll thru, and the staff were so sweet and accommodating while we all tried to stay dry. Meal was great and warmed me right up, and my server Ariel was the nicest worker I’ve met here. Absolutely coming back!

Torchy's Tacos never fails to impress! Their fried avocado taco is absolutely incredible! I always make sure to order it "trashy" because the addition of queso takes it to a whole new level of deliciousness. And let's not forget their chips and queso, an absolute must-order! The queso that comes with the chips is served with a delightful touch of guacamole and a spicy sauce. The service is impressively quick, and I particularly love their outdoor seating option. If you find yourself in the Denton area, this place is an absolute must-visit!

Nice place for some good tasting tacos. A lot of their tacos and entrees are spicy so not a big place with many sweet options. They have a full bar if you want to dine in and their decor is nice. I sat on the patio for two or three hours with a friend drinking margaritas and eating tacos. Very enjoyable experience and I would definitely visit again.

Torchy’s never misses! The food was AMAZING. We got the trailer park, the republican, the steak fajita, and a side of queso. We received great service from Reid, who was able to tell us anything we needed to know about the menu, as he’s tried everything on it. We’ve come many times to the Denton location and will continue to do so!

A little late on this review from our visit on 8/23/25, by kept the receipt and QR code card with Mary M.’s name written on it. I was with my 2 boys waiting on my wife to arrive to the restaurant and after ordering, getting drinks, waiting on food, Mary delivered our food, provided napkins, silverware, and even watched m one of my boys for a split second while I took the other to the bathroom. My wife finally arrived and then Mary continued to take care of us. A great customer service experience and yet another reason to come back again and again. Thank you Mary M.!

Torchy's Tacos 07-15-24 The restaurant was clean. We had no wait for lunch. The employees were friendly and helpful. We started off with an appetizer of Guacamole & Chips. It was flavorful and fresh. It was a little spicy but not too spicy. We had two Street Tacos – 1 Fried Avocado on a Corn Tortilla and a Baja Shrimp on a Corn Tortilla. 2 Beef Fajita and 1 Chicken Fajita on Flour Tortilla. 1 Beef Fajita Grande Burrito. Service was quick. All the food tasted fresh and served hot. Except for the Guacamole which was cold. We will be back.

Delicious tacos. This is probably my favorite Torchy's location. Great customer service all around, amazing food and fantastic drinks! My husband and I never get disappointed when we go to Torchy's! The two tacos we ALWAYS get is the Baja shrimp and the Democrat, both amazing and we always order the green chilie queso.

Never get tired of going to this Torchys location. The staff are great and attentive. The service is fast and the reastraunt is always clean. The GM, Megan was extremely helpful when there was an miscommunication on my part with my order.

Great services, they had a good amount of people for a Saturday and the staff was very efficient at getting tables cleaned as well as checking on guests for any needs. The drinks are also always amazing! Definitely our go to place when we want to treat ourselves!

1st time visit here and I can say it was awesome! Lots of creative taco dishes. I ended up on the republican tacos as I love brisket and fried onions. The tacos are huge! I ordered 3 but 2 would have been enough. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it. Next time I come back to Texas I'll definitely be coming back for more tacos.

Karson is THE COOLEST and such a phenomenal employee. She saw my spouse and I two times within 48 hours and didn’t question us at all for being so obsessed with the queso that we came back less than 24 hours apart from each other. Great Torchy’s experience. Karson took our order and took great care of us. The food came out promptly and was fresh and delicious. I do wish that the kiosks could be removed. Atmosphere was lively and comfortable. My favorite taco is Mr. Orange, and the fried chicken strips such as in the trailer park or the little wrecker are the best around. And of course the queso!!

First time here. Stopped by as we were driving through town. The service was amazing. The girl at the front counter was very patient and very informative. The selection was nice and the portion sizes were good. Price was reasonable. The atmosphere seemed fun and casual. All in all I would say this was an A+ plus experience. I will be back.

This place is awesome. The food was great! Reasonably priced and good portions. The girl taking our order was so helpful, being our first time there. They had a wide selection and the food came out quick; it was also a nice atmosphere. I was glad that they weren’t off the beaten path as well; at the northeast corner of University and Bonnie Brae in Denton. We don’t drink but the had a bar too, with a “happy hour”. My wife and I will definitely be going back.

Good food, very reasonable prices. Everything was very clean. Service was good, reminded me of many other options and places I’ve gone. The main thing that stuck out to me was the hot stuff the little devil on the cups and their pictures. Cute. Would have given 5 stars if there were a few extra options for me. I have celiac and gf options are hard to come by. Queso dip is delicious but I guess I’m a little bit of a pansy, cause it came across a little extra spicy to me. My boyfriend loved it, flavors were awesome though.

Visited this location around 4/5pm. The place was clean and had quite a few patrons. They have a bar, plenty of indoor seating (booths and tables). Not really a formal greeting coming in, no simple “hi, welcome in” or anything. You just have to step up and talk first on what you want. The food is on the pricier side: tacos ranging $4-$6, for just one. There is a variety of flavors to try. Chips and queso was about $8-$9, they also have burritos. The food was served hot and fast. The quality of the food was decent and fresh. However there wasn’t a lot of spice or flavoring, but that’s a matter of preference. If you’re a fan of tasty heat from salsa or sauces or marinated meat that melts on the tongue or a wider range of intense flavors, maybe this isn’t the place. Churros were fried a little too dark and hard, for our liking. It left little to no favoring, besides the dipping sauce. It’s a family friendly establishment. The food is good, for no to mild taste palettes, in regards to spice/seasonings. Haven’t tried the drinks, but they looked decent and served fresh at the bar. Would recommend if you’re looking to try something different. Not a place if you’re looking for bang for the buck or mind blowing tacos/burritos for less.

Great franchise. Restaurant was very clean and the staff was good, patient and knowledgeable. Not a huge fan of the prices, however the quality does reflect. I was a bit curious when I seen cheese on guacamole, but it was subtle and only needed some salt to get it right. I'll definitely return for a chill evening at their bar 💯👍🏾

We've been coming to this location since they opened. Gone through a lot of menu, restaurant and staff changes with them and watched them grow. We always sit at the bar so we haven't tried the new ordering kiosks. It looks like there is also someone there to take orders in case you don't want to do it yourself, which is always good. Always fast service, always friendly staff, always amazing queso. They've lost a star from us though because the last few times we've gone in, the tacos have been kinda blah! I know, weird right? But up until these last few times, we were piled high with taco goodness so much so, there were times I couldn't finish it! Now it's like they threw some stuff in a tortilla and said, here's some watery beans, a few strands of lettuce and some pico. Come on y'all. The young bartenders they've hired lately are also a little too easily distracted and get busy talking to other employees while customers are waiting to get their attention or they move at a snails pace when doing anything at all. I always wonder if they understand what working actually means. Anyway, the turnover there is high so I'm sure the "squirrels" will be gone soon enough. Their Saturday afternoon bartender is amazing and should train every bartender, everywhere. :-)

Two things would make it a higher score: 1) menu ordering is done by self service kiosk. The user interface was not easy to understand and slowed us down. 2) there are so many options and add on’s I was sure if I need to add more or not to each taco. They were tasty. Staff and management were very professional and polite.

I don't do novelty taco joints. They tend to be half-hearted culinary attempts, kind of let's throw stuff on a tortilla and see what the public will eat. I had the Republican and Fried Avocado Tacos, with some chips and Refried Bean Dip. The Republican was something I had to force myself to eat, it was so greasy and unpleasant. The I noticed no difference between a fried avocado and a non fried one. The place was clean and not very busy which was good. It had some nice outdoor seating.

The absolute worst service. Sat at the bar and I knew upon sitting that it was a mistake. It might have been shift change, but I was never asked if I wanted anything else, another drink, or even how the food was. Such a disappointing experience, every time. Could be good but they constantly serve cold tacos and drinks that have zero alcohol in them. I think I’ll pass next time. The queso isn’t worth the terrible service and cold food that comes out before your drinks. Bartender was nice when I ordered another shot for my margarita to make it a bit stronger.
