We are visiting family from Athens, Ga. The food was delicious and the customer service was great. We enjoyed a salted bagel and a jalapeño Cheddar bagel. As well as several donut flavors to go. The ladies working were so sweet!

This Little shop has been a staple at the Mesa shopping center for many years now. Not only do they make delicious bagels and have a variety of sandwiches and the like they also have a small but very nice variety of donuts. And the owners are really nice people. This is a great place for Mesa locals, interests that are off the beaten path.

Best Bagels in Santa Barbara! The only place in this area that makes bagels using the traditional method of stretching and boiling the dough. They're delicious!!!

I‘ve been going to Bagel Market Cafe since I was 9. I‘ve always enjoyed the donuts and all the different varieties. They have everything from Bagels, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, pastries ,coffee and tea, smoothies and boba tea. When you step into the store automatically someone greets you with a kind smile. The smell of the store is amazing, it smells like pastries and freshness. There are a few seats inside and seats outside. There are varieties of bagels and donuts and normally large quantities of them. The service is always great and they always make sure you don’t want anything else. The shop is small and cozy and rarely extremely busy (I go on saturdays). It’s really hard to find good Bagels here in California which makes Bagel Market Cafe a amazing store! The donuts are so soft and always are freshly made, its almost as if the donuts come straight from heaven. The bagels always are fresh as well and taste amazing. I would recommend the salt bagels for all those salty fans out there. It almost tastes like a soft pretzel. Overall I love this shop so much and I think its decently worth the price.

This place rocks. Without doubt the best bagels anywhere. Donuts aren't bad either! Owners are totally friendly and helpful. You can place an order ahead of time to save your favorites and their bagels sell out very fast. Prices are fair and the quality is always good.

I grew up on the Mesa, been coming here for 30+ years. My family loves this place. I always think of my dad coming home with a bag of bagels and shmear on Saturday morning. More than nostalgic, these are actually some of the best bagels I’ve had on the west coast. Idk what all the 1 star reviews are about, probably all yuppies moved into sb and expecting some hipster artisanal bagel shop. This is what the Mesa was like growing up, it was REGULAR. With a regular, no frills bagel shop serving actually good bagels for cheap. Respect.

Literally the only bagel I’ve found on the west coast that satisfies my cravings for a true bagel. For those who are from the East coast or have spent time there, you will understand me when I say that it is VERY HARD to find a truly good bagel that hits that perfect, almost umami-like, flavor of a correctly made boiled bagel here on the west coast. However, this lovely family run business hits the nail on the head with their amazing bagels, and they are so so so nice. Their sandwiches are incredible too, especially the veggie sandwich. Thank you for the bagels!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is absolutely amazing! It’s our favorite spot for bagels. The bagels are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they’re loaded with fresh, generous fillings. Every flavor we’ve tried is delicious—literally every single one. Our favorites are the Milano and the hummus-filled bagels. Honestly, I think these are the best bagels I’ve ever had in the country! The staff is super friendly and always quick, which makes the experience even better. Everything is so fresh, and it’s clear why this place is so popular, there’s always a line! They also have donuts, and even though we haven’t tried them ourselves, I’ve seen so many people grabbing them. The prices are really good too—considering the quality, they could easily charge more. I just absolutely love this place

Can’t ask for much more here. Perfect spot if I’m craving the SB classic bagel with bacon. Also can’t skip the donut holes if there are any left. Appreciate the owners and staffs hard work every time I go in, they even remember my order!

Decided to try ordering take out breakfast sandwiches here instead of waiting for a table at the busy restaurants nearby. Ordered a croissant sandwich with egg, cheddar and bacon, a orange cranberry bagel, with egg, cheddar and bacon, plus a cinnamon roll and glazed donut. The bakery items were fresh and very delicious. The breakfast sandwiches were made fresh and expedient in being ready to go. Both sandwiches were satisfactory in flavor only. Unfortunately the bagel and croissant were dry, and not enough butter added for moisture in the sandwich. It appeared that the bread items had been over toasted, creating the dryer taste. We added butter to the bagel and croissant when we arrived home. This improved the moisture in the sandwich, but it still was average in taste. Parking lot was crowded on Sunday when we were there mid morning. This restaurant is licated in a small shopping area on the Mesa in Santa Barbara. Between the other restaurants and the grocery store, it was very crowded. Masks are required, and social distancing. Dividers were placed between customer and cashier. Employees were friendly. Will try eating here again, just to see if this was just a busy morning rush situation with the food flavor.

You know, this is a curious place that feels like it's been owned by the same folks for decades, but I don't know that to be fact. What's curious about it is that their bagels might very well be better than anyone else's in town. Especially if you prefer a more East Coast style of bagel, like I do. 🥯 Jack's Bagels seems to kind of run Santa Barbara town, but they get boiled and baked too fluffy, bready for me. I don't think a bagel should be a baguette. I like a heavier, doughier, lower profile bagel like I used to get in D.C. and NYC. In addition, they always have some pretty great donuts there too, and have bags of fresh glazed donut holes right at the register. I'm not a big donut person (taste great in the mouth––heartburn in the tummy), but just a few of these donut holes are really kind of a fun flour/sugar bash. I really think they may have the best tasting bagels in town and although they really need to have capers on hand, their lox and bagel sandwich is just better than Jack's because the bagel is just better!

I watched the baker arrive outside with trays of donuts and pastries...and one tray fell on the ground and I watched him pick them up off the ground and put them back on the tray and bring them inside to be sold....what I left out of this morning story was..when I went to take a picture of the baker he got mad and he flipped me off..and then threw an apple fritter at me...it missed but pretty funny...here is a foto of the bagel the baker threw at me... And this morning which is the next day... The owner came out and berated me for writing a bad review for their business... Yelling at me and telling me they threw the apple fritters away... But they have cameras in the store.... So I asked her to post the video of them throwing the apple fritters away... She went silent..... And I don't believe I will ever see that video because it doesn't exist they were not thrown away they were sold to the public

First time going, got a simple jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese. Bagel was too chewy and really overpriced. Service was bad too lady kept trying to correct me when I was ordering.

The lox bagel was not good at all. It did not taste like cream cheese. It was just smeared with some gooey pink stuff. Not worth the $4.95. Also the bagel was really small. Will not comeback here.

They are charging $4.75 to $4.95 to have Philadelphia cream cheese spread on ur bagel per bagel. Vons is next door! Go buy an entire container for the same price, don’t contribute to stuff like this. Gives service industry a bad name. Used to love this place, sad that they are doing this.
