We came in here with a recommendation from a friend while visiting Santa Barbara. The egg sandwich was definitely the star - super soft eggs with the freshly made brioche! It really did taste amazing. Coffee and pistachio donut was good as well. I picked up a loaf of seeded sourdough to go and that was amazing too! I believe all the breads they have would be amazing, will try more options on the menu next time!
Never disappointed, love their omelette but had to go with quiche Lorraine yum 😋 their almond milk, quinoa with strawberries and local honey is definitely my new favorite. Topped it off with a velvety almond milk vanilla latte
I'm surprised it's so easy to get a seat on a Sunday morning. This place has amazing pastries and breads. Kitchen is a little slow for hot foods so just order pastries if in a rush. We ordered an omelette and avocado tartine which were both excellent. I recommend the Parisian ham in the omelette. The outdoor seating is well shaded and separated from the sidewalk which we enjoyed.
This bakery is wonderful. The staff is very friendly. I love the smell of fresh baked bread in the morning. The lattes and coffee is perfect. The pastries and food are delicious. We loved the place and quite ambience.
This is my favorite french bakery in Santa Barbara area. The owners are french and use only high end ingredients. My to-go is the Mushroom Croissant sandwich. But this time I tried something different, the Parmesan Role and it was delicious like everything.
Absolutely amazing pastries. We have been on a bakery spree and this is one of the best ones in town. Went there 2x this week alone. Missed a picture of the bread pudding but it was our favorite!!
Bree'Osh Bakery!!!! The most insane avocado toast, EVER! EVER! 😳😩🥰💥🙏🏼 We ordered the French toast with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, side of bacon, the Avocado Tartine, decaf almond milk latte and mango juice. Maybe the most satisfying, delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented meal I have had in a while. Wonderfully friendly and patient staff behind the counter, very laid back, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Outdoor seating with tons of shaded tables (almost 80° at 11am), with a cool breeze running through. Tons of food choices, incredibly kid and family friendly, strollers welcome and wheelchair accessible. Wish we lived closer! Thank you Bree'Osh, a perfect beginning to our Santa Barbara weekend. We'll be back again, and again!
Lots of really solid good things going for Bree'Osh. The ambiance (especially the outdoor seating) was wonderful and the location was easy to access and find parking. The brioche was wonderful - I got the seasonal flavor which was brioche french toast with an apple topping and fresh whipped cream. The toppings of the brioche were very special and all of the flavors were unique and delicious. The brioche did not taste too sweet or like other commercial brioches. The prices were a little high but I felt like the real estate location combined with the seasonal ingredients and hand-made aspects made the brioche well worth the money.
This is a wonderful neighborhood bakery with really excellent in house baked goods. The croissants, for example have just the perfect amount of flakiness and soft inside, with a rich buttery taste. Every, including the coffee was just so tasty. Highly recommend- even going out of your way to eat here is worth it.
Brunch of my dreams 🧡🧡🥐 Been on the biggest pastry kick for the past few months so I had to try this bakery on my trip to Santa Barbara this weekend ✨🥖 🍽Ordered: 1. Croque madame: 15/10!! This was phenomenal .. the brioche bread was soo thick & fluffy & the melted Gruyère cheese had a rich truffle aroma infused in it.. I could’ve ate 3 of these 2. Parmesan roll sando with egg, bacon & cheese: 100/10 🤯🤯 I thought the croque madame was amazing but then I tried this sandwich and my mind was blown .. the Parmesan roll was soooo flaky & crispy and the egg was cooked perfectly 😭 The parmesan roll reminded me of a thick scallion pancake and it was just incredible !! (Ps this is only available on weekends) 3. Almond croissant: 10/10 this is a classic that I always get at every bakery and this bakery made a solid one!!! 💰Price: $30 for the 3 items @eatswithedith on Instagram for more in depth reviews!
If I lived close by, this place would be my regular Sat morning stop. Everything we tried was fantastic. Coffee, Matcha, pastries, bread. All of it, fantastic
2023: OMG! I am revisiting as, at least for me, this place is a “must” visit! I am so happy to update that they have expanded and did it wonderfully. There is easier access, lots of cozy indoor seating, more outdoor seating, cute little niche gifts, great atmosphere. I can’t see anyone not enjoying this spot & food. Their quiche, the ‘Morning Bun’ (so good), ham & cheese croissant. So reasonably $. Animal friendly. 2022: Mmmmm. So very happy this little nib of heaven is within a 10 minute walk! I’m here for a month 🏠 🐕 sitting, and This is melt in your mouth good. Truly reminds me of the great little bakeries I’ve been to in Europe. This is bakery done right. Do treat yourself! I can recommend the 🥐, raisin roll, almond chocolate croissant, sugar brioche (OMG!), and cheddar herb scone. (Yeah, hit this place up a lot!) Must be a local fav as always had some local customers; and goods can sell out. You’ve been warned. 🌞 Plenty great breakfast/brunch selections: french toast, omelets, sandwiches, etc. YOLO!
I love this place! It is so cozy and warm. Makes you want to come in for a coffee and stay for lunch 😉 Pastries and coffee are a must try, and if you have more time, stay for lunch and enjoy a salmon salad, a pizza or a avocado toast. I have tried many things on their menu over the years, and everything is delicious, fresh and served with love. The owners and the staff is really friendly. The place can be packed sometimes but it’s because people love it, and I never have any issue finding a seat. I also love their bread, especially their baguettes, but the loaves are great too. They keep adding to their menu and I never feel bored when ordering. There is always something new to enjoy!

This raspberry chocolate bread pudding is everything. Shamelessly helped myself to TWO servings this morning. Had it heated up both times, but had to finish the second slice cooled down (lost a bit of steam half way through slice two) and it was equally scrumptious. Will be back for more goodies soon!
Had a lovely lunch and took home breakfast for the following day. Homemade tomato soup was lovely. Bread very yummy. Took home several pastries and they were delicious the next morning.
Relaxed ambiance in a bustling neighborhood. Came for the amazing espresso and pastry, but returning for lunch and breakfast as the quality and flavors of everything ordered thus far has surpassed my expectations! Please keep this place a local secret spot!☕️
A lovely place to meet friends for brunch. Their quiche is outstanding and some of the best in town. Delicious lattes, coffee, and homemade pastries. Their breakfast sandwiches are also very good. It’s not a quick grab and go spot, but a place you can Enjoy a wonderful breakfast and catch up with friends. Seating can be limited if the weather is poor and also if people set up like it is a “office coffee shop”. But kid and dog friendly and a wonderful breakfast stop!
Some of the best avocado toast and their olive bread available (olive on the weekends) Ode to an Avocado Toast (and to Pierre & Lily) O Avocado Toast, green hymn of the morning, you arrive on warm focaccia— still breathing, still alive— as if the oven itself wished us joy. You are not ordinary. You are an idea brought lovingly from France by Pierre and Lily, keepers of quiet culinary secrets, now shared generously, right here in our town. Your avocado is ripe with intention, mashed just enough to remember the tree. Across your surface: microgreens like a spring whisper, a dash of radish—sharp, playful, awake. And then the miracle: Piment d’Espelette. That red Basque poetry— not spicy, not loud, but warm, smoky, gently radiant. A pepper that doesn’t shout, it converses. All plant-based. All perfectly balanced. The bread slightly warm, as if it knows it will be loved. Pierre and Lily— how lucky we are to have you. Your kindness seasons the food, your joy rises like yeast in that focaccia.

Very good food and service. We had the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. The sandwich was excellent, but the tomato soup was very thick and the taste was less than average. We also had the avocado tartine which was very good. Their sour dough with sesame bread was excellent. Their cappuccino was very good. They serve lunch until 1:30 pm. It should be extended to 4 or 5 pm. Customers were coming after were 1:30 pm. By improving the tomato soup and extending the opening hour, this cafe would be one of the best in Santa Barbara.
A great spot for an early breakfast in Santa Barbara. We had the brioche, which was fantastic—fresh and flavorful. However, the coffee didn’t really stand out. A big plus is that they open early, making it a convenient stop, but parking can be a bit tricky and this place tends to be pricey. Other than that, it’s a great place to grab a bite in the morning!

Good pains au chocolat. I paid $10. Price for only two... not worth it. Not enough chocolate inside, too crunchy.. But still good. Pleased orange juice 🥤🍊Nice team, nice sits outside, calm location !
Order pastries or a light breakfast / lunch at the counter and they’ll deliver to casual outdoor patio seating. Regular coffee = meh. Cappuccino or espresso is a much better choice. While table service is minimal, they’re always very friendly.

AVOID THIS PLACE at all cost unless you want to get stale food plus a rude attitude!! We used come here all the time for their breads and pastries. And unfortunately since this July their quality has gone straight down. The pastries and bread are stale that you can tasted the significant difference. They claimed it was made fresh daily but the ones we got tasted funny, like they have gone bad. We immediately let an Asian staff know, and then she started a rampage on blaming us. And she said if we took a bite already, even if its taste has issues, they will not do anything about it. How are we supposed to know they tasted wrong if we did not take a bite?! That's a food safety issues. She then go on and tell us we can't expect them to be fresh!!! This is the EXACT WORDS she said. We spoke with the manager and she tried to pretend to be helpful but is pretty much giving us the same kind of take it or leave it attitude. Trust me totally WAY over hyped, there's so much more better options in the area.
