The place is great if you just want to have a tasty food, without spending a fortune, and don't care much about the atmosphere. It's a cozy place, but not really fit for a date. I took 3 lamb chops, and they were delicious, and that was a real quality meat for only 32$. Highly recommended.

Athena Grill & Catering is a pleasant surprise in an industrial area. The pita is excellent, and mains like the lamb chops and fish are spot-on. The appetizer octopus was a bit small and salty, but overall it’s a solid, satisfying meal.

One of the best Greek food restaurants in Santa Clara County. Been around for over 25 years. Authentic and flavorful worth ur money 💰. My favorite dish is either their gryo wrap or gryo plate. So much food for a reasonable price. The sword fish 🐟 to their falafel u can't go wrong every taste good here. So do ur self a favor and treat ur self you'll be glad u did

One of the better Greek restaurants I’ve been to in a long while. Food was fresh, delicious, has generous portions and was reasonably priced. The location was easy to find and had ample parking. All in all, a fantastic place to try Greek food. I’ll be back to try the rest of menu but they sure got the gyro right.

If I could give 10 stars for service, I would. What an incredible staff. It was like I was being invited in to their home. Food was delicious and large servings for the price. Cheery outdoor area that we enjoyed on a warm afternoon. Plenty of shade. We had wraps and a gyro plate. Beef, lamb and chicken. All delicious. We will absolutely be returning anytime we find ourselves near the San Jose airport and surroundings.

A great Greek restaurant with options like salads, souvlaki plates and wraps. Not many gluten free or vegan option. I definitely recommend their Greek coffee, it comes with a small almond and raisin biscotti. Their almond cake with lemon and orange zest syrup was great as a dessert! They only use premium olives 🫒 in their food. Do try their dips sampler. Veg moussaka was great too. The chicken souvlaki plate is also a great option( the chicken thigh was flavorful and well cooked). I suggest sitting outside as it becomes loud inside. Show stopper was their weekend special- sardines! I definitely recommend this place for Greek food lovers. Parking lot is small but street parking space available.

VFM 5/5 This is a place mostly run by elderly folks and gives warmth and homely vibe to the place. You feel like you are taken care of here. Salmon was yummy and fresh. The kebab platter had chicken souvlaki, mutton and sausages. A bit heavy but wholesome. The gyros were huge and the fries were fresh. Overall we had a relaxed and good time. Sardines on the special was average for me.

Athena Grill was an outstanding experience from start to finish! I ordered the fish, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—beautifully seasoned, tender, and flavorful without being heavy. It’s rare to find seafood prepared with such balance, where the freshness really shines through. The sides paired with it were also excellent, complementing the main dish and rounding out a very satisfying meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is charming and welcoming. It has a relaxed Mediterranean vibe, making it a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy good food. The layout is comfortable, and it feels like a spot where you can enjoy both a casual lunch or a nice evening dinner. Service was another highlight—the staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great suggestions and checking in often without being intrusive. Best grilled calamari I’ve had! Fresh and delicious! I was a little disappointed when I ordered the Greek Salad and I got… well a salad but not the traditional Greek, I should have ordered the Athena Salad for that - a bit misleading. The tzatziki was amazing, got to love Greek restaurants that serve the authentic tzatziki! The gyro meat was also a letdown, it tasted more like pork sausage to me. Maybe the chicken meat would have been tastier. The service was nice, collaborative I guess because we had three different servers. Overall a great lunch with great Greek food options to choose from.

Very nice place. Might be a little hard to find. I had the steak fajita wrap. It was excellent. Good place to hold a small company gathering. Highly recommended.

Pretty good place. My favorite is the most basic thing: the gyro wrap which comes with fruit or garlic fries (always get fries!) and a side Greek salad for a few extra bucks. Really good but get some extra yogurt sauce. And the olive spread for the fries is great. My buddy got the steak which looked pretty good as well. Maybe I’ll try next time.

The service was prompt. The ambience was casual & relaxed. While the quality of food was good, our group did not particularly enjoy the flavours. We had ordered the dip sampler (the most tasty dish), falafel plate, spanakopita plate. Would probably not return back for the food

Athena Grill offers a decent selection of Mediterranean dishes, though my experience was a bit mixed. I tried the fish and chicken dish, which had good flavor but didn’t quite justify the price—it felt slightly expensive for the portion size. The fish was cooked well, and the chicken was tender, but nothing extraordinary stood out. One disappointment was the finger chips. Instead of being crispy and golden, they were soggy, which took away from the enjoyment of the meal. It would have been much better if they had been freshly fried and crunchy. Similarly, the falafels were quite oily, making them heavy rather than light and crispy as they should be. This made them less appetizing than expected. That said, the service was friendly, and the ambiance was pleasant for a casual dining experience. The restaurant has a nice setup, and the staff seemed attentive. If they can improve the texture of their sides and perhaps adjust pricing slightly, it would make for a much better overall experience. Athena Grill has potential, but with a few refinements, it could be a more satisfying choice for Mediterranean cuisine.

This place outright sucks. Got lunch at workplace from here. Had ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap with side of hummus and fruit. The hummus had absolutely no flavor not even salt. The chicken tasted stale and rotten. Total waste of money. I wonder where are they getting these top reviews from. Looks like paid reviews to me. Never going there ever again. Dish n dash my one and only fav💪🏻
