Solid Banh Mi spot. The make your own bowl option is a pretty cool concept and works well. The sandwich was great. The bread was nice. The greens were fresh and the pork was tender, seasoned well and juicy. The guy working there was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again.
Great local place to pick up lunch. We didn’t stay but the shop looked super clean and bright. Very friendly staff who carefully and quickly put our order together. Generous portions on the rice bowl with super fresh ingredients. My husband had the five spice pork sandwich and said it was very good. First time visiting but will be back again.
The place is very clean and cozy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We tried the crispy pork belly rice and grilled chicken vermicelli — both were delicious! The pork belly was perfectly crispy outside and juicy inside, while the chicken paired really well with the pickled carrots and daikon. Rice and noodles were fresh, and the cucumber added a nice crunch. Good portion, fair price — definitely worth coming back!
Don’t let the looks fool ya. Small location. Not a lot of space for large groups. But the 5 spice pork was great. Veggies were served cold but my meat was really good. Wish the bowl gave more room to like mix up your veggies but all tasted really good.
Wow 🤯 🤩 😮 REALLY good 👍🏽 🍱, I got Korean Beef 🥩 Banh Mi, meat 🥩 REALLY soft and tender. LARGE portions of meat 🥩 🍖 on sandwich 🥪 and chunky veggies 🥗 🥦 🥕 on Banh Mi. Their food portions and meat 🥩 quality 👩🏽🍳 justify their prices 💰.
Great customer service. I had Michelle as a waitress, and she was very helpful in explaining the menu since it was the first time for me at Banh MI & Bowl. Fast service, food tasty.
Worth the travel during lunch time. Taste & cleanness & service : 5/5 Vietnamese coffee is also available for plant-based milk(almond). Very tasty 👍 Only one drawback is you may need about 5-minute buffer to find a parking lot.
Solid place to get Banh Mi and Coffee. Tried The Vietnamese Egg Coffee, it was delicious compare to many other places in San Jose.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Banh Mi and pork egg rolls. I have been getting Banh Mi from Lee's for years and enjoying them greatly, but I think these are even a little better. I've only tried the 5-spice grilled pork and the Lemongrass chicken, but both were fantastic. I've actually never had a chicken based banh mi and was skeptical, but I ended up ordering it the second time I went without hesitation. The egg rolls were also next level. They were not overly greasy, and they were full of flavor. I did try a little of the sweet and sour sauce, but it really didn't need it for flavor. I think I'm going to test things next time I go and try something different, but it will be hard not to go with what I know is great.

Ordered the Lemon Grass Chicken Banh Mi and Miso Tofu Banh Mi. My favorite part would have to be the delicious baguette which was crunchy, yet soft. We placed our order online and ordered extra pickled veggies and cilantro, but it seemed that they forgot to. Otherwise, solid Banh Mis.
Bahn Mi was great and fresh. Fresh Spring rolls tastes premade like they had been laying there for some time, kind of choked a little chewing on the rice paper end. Peanut sauce was thin/watery.
Modern design. Fresh shrimp roll is fresh but sauce can be better. 5 spice beef can be more tasty & soft.
Went with my kiddos for lunch here. Ordered the Miso tofu Banh Mi as that was one of only two options available. Also got the vegetarian egg roll which was okay. Came out hot but wasn't that fresh as the sandwich. Our banh mi was really good, fresh ingredients, tofu was great and quite filling too. There is no outside seating and very limited inside seating. Service was good. I loved the plants they had inside specially the fiddle leaf fig tree that was teaming with so many leaves. I would love to know the secret from the owner for that, please!!!
Pork belly sandwich was too fatty. Every bite of meat is at least 70% fat. I may try again other offerings. But not soon. It’s on expensive side. ~$12 (tax included) for sandwich alone. For beef options +$2.

I ordered three sandwiches (#3 5-Spice pork and #1 Cold Cut + Pate) and one Thai tea, which totaled $46. While it may be off-putting as it is more expensive than the sandwiches in Century Mall, San Jose, though, to be fair, the higher pricing could be due to location, inflation, etc. Food: The sandwich bread is not fluffy or airy like at Duc Huong Sandwiches; it is the type that needs to be eaten right away, as it is hard. As for the meat, it tastes good. Other things to note are that the pickled veggies are a thicker slice, and the taste is very subtle and clean compared to what I'm used to eating. I don't exactly need to worry about the bread getting soggy or have to ask to put the veggies separately. If this is your preference, this could be your next favorite sandwich shop. As for the drink, I wish it were stronger. Service & Cleanliness: Inside the store, it was tidied and not busy (at least on Friday at 4 p.m.). It is a nice place to purchase food to go quickly. They are available on Uber Eats; you can order by speaking with the cashier or using the iPad. The service was excellent, as they even offered to help, which was nice. I would not mind coming back here again.

I ordered a vegan sandwich... and I open it to find they smothered it in mayonnaise... I called to get a refund because I can't eat my sandwich... and they said I would have to go back in which is a 20 minute drive. Update: The owner called to apologize and take full responsibility, ensured me that they will make sure this doesn’t happen again, offered to make it right for me the next time I come in, and refunded me. I fully appreciate it 🙏
Sandwiches were solidly ok...probably about $4 (30%) more than I'd like to pay for each sandwich. I found what looks like chicken bones in the char siu chicken sandwich though. It was neon orange, so I thought they were carrots at first. The toasted bread was soft and not cut your mouth crispy, but that's just preference, I suppose.

We ordered both banh mi lemongrass chicken and Korean beef yesterday. The lemongrass tasted nice. It was well done. The Korean beef was not good. It had a terrible after taste and was coated in a white cream type substance. We threw away the second sandwich because it was not edible.

I never write food reviews, but had to write one this time. I was really excited about this place and sandwiches. However, all I got was really bland food with no taste at all. The meats were well cooked and the quality of ingredients was good but it was just plain bland and tasteless. I ordered the 5 spice pork and lemongrass chicken but was disappointed with both. One of the sandwiches had some sauce and the other one, none. All in all, very inconsistent. I also got the seasoned fries but they had no seasoning at all and no salt either. I had to put my own seasoning to make them taste decent. I really hope they take this review constructively cause we need a good Banh Mi place in the area.

Walked in and placed an order on Sunday 6/15 at 1:03pm for 3 sandwiches and they weren’t ready until 1:34pm. Service was so slow and nobody seemed to care at all. It seemed like somebody even left at one point to go on a break. Sandwiches were mid as hell - for the price of $13 nothing special. Lemongrass chicken was just more of a grilled chicken. No flavor. Overall go up to Milpitas and get something better for cheaper. Apparently it’ll take the same time.
