I've come here several times over the past few months and I can confidently say I've never had a bad experience here. All the beers are great, the pizzas are great, the Salmon Burger (pictured) is great, the staff is great, the facilities are great, so on and so on. I highly recommend coming here when you get the chance. Also the ducks that waddle through occasionally are very cute and playful, just try not to feed them haha
Finally! A place that has everything you’d like with a modern presentation. Full drink list with plenty of beers (locally brewed). I’d recommend getting the flight, it’s quite an experience. Food also is awesome. Fair pricing for everybody’s budget all around! Half is dedicated to a traditional restaurant feel while the other half is a bar with open seating, plenty of TVs for sports. On a good day, you can catch some live music as well. All around great place to spend some time.
Awesome thank you for hosting @enjoyment village we had such amazing time and the food was lit..!
Great venue, great beers, great food. Friday afternoon crowd was talkative, but you could still hear the band over the surrounding conversations. And the staff was awesome, I had a Groupon visible on my phone, but I left it down on the bar. The bartender saw it and started us off without me ever asking for his attention! The Hefenwizen was my favorite, but the Kolsh was rivaling. And the Calamari appetizer took us over the top.
First time at the Laughing Monk, service was good! Great recommendations from our server. We enjoyed the pretzel (probably the best I've had). The hot wings were good. The fish n chips (Red Snapper) we're on the smaller but good. Our beer selection was good. I will definitely be back. Plenty of parking on a Wednesday night.
First time here, found a fantastic 12- ounce prime rib dinner for only $25 on a Friday night. Mild smokiness, not overpowering the beef, and the horseradish sauce is perfectly complimentary to the meat. Mashed potatoes are fantastic, too. I couldn't fit in a dessert, but my dinner mates each tried something different, and all three were decadent, to put it mildly. The staff deserve some great props for everything.
My family and I were in town for a random getaway and shopping. Found this place on Yelp as we saw they accommodated large families. Adults wanted beer and good food... kids wanted good food. Long story short: food and beer are really good. The service was amazing. Everyone was super nice. Will definitely come back when we are in town.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. My wife and I usually go for at night after work. We got lunch today also. The food was good as always. And bartender was running but still had great service and drinks.
Faultline Brewing Company is a fine dining experience that focuses on food and brew pairings. It's rustic, industrial-chic decor is beautifully accented by wood, steel pipe and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Half of the brewery is dedicated to an upscale restaurant, while the other half is an open bar setting. The bar area feels intimate with views overlooking the brew-house and features 20 flat screen TVs. Along with a full drink menu and plenty of house made beers. The large dining room is spacious with lakeside views. Their outdoor patio is an ideal date spot, as it is surrounded by lush trees, blooms and carpet roses. Enjoy the artisanal beers and tasty menu options. The "begging" ducks outside want to make sure you don't take home any leftovers. Faulltline Brewing has happy hour from 4pm to 6pm, $5 pints on Thursday and $2 Taco Tuesday specials. As well as, live music on the weekends. To create the perfect date, take advantage of their featured specials and get to know each other on the patio. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
"I would go here every week" -my fiance. The atmosphere, food, and beers are great! On our most recent visit we found out that the cocktails are great too! We have tried the Tikka masala pizza in the past, it is so flavorful and really hits the spot. Also their chicken wings are worth the price, so crispy and great flavor. They are on happy hour too! This time we tried the buffalo mac pizza, also tasty! The truffle was a strange flavor combo, but we liked it. The onion rings were good too. We were there on a Tuesday which is their taco day with $7 margaritas all day. The margs come in different flavors (rotate each week), the tacos were $2 and had beef or chicken. Pretty good but fairly small, you would probably need 3-4 tacos to feel full.
Nice large place. Live music on weekends. I ordered their beer sampler and it was awesome. As with any brewery, the sides are greasy except the seafood Ceviche which was excellent - large size too with lots of shrimp and nachos. I would return here on a weekend. Great place to visit before movies down the street. Update 9/12/21: Love the beer selections and appetizers here. If you sit outside you get closer to the ducks and geese
We arrived at 7:40 pm on a weeknight, so it wasn't that crowded. It was our first time at Faultline and we really looked forward to our new experience. The greeting was polite, the seating was great, the jazz trio was a great accompaniment. Our waiter, though fairly new, was spot on with his recommendations; the Gouda mac & Cheese and the perfectly cooked cheese burger. Now we originally went to Faultline Brewery for the flights of beer and an appetizer. Those beers were amazing. The appetizer that was suggested to us by our waiter, the Thai Chili wings, were phenomenal. All and all, a great experience that we would recommend to all of our friends.
Laughing Monk Brewery in Sunnyvale is a true gem! This place just gets it right—the atmosphere is just as fantastic as the beer and food. From the moment you walk in, the ambience is genuinely lively and inviting. The rustic, industrial-chic decor, combined with beautiful natural light and views of the lake (if you get a patio seat!), creates a vibrant energy that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile.
Super spacious, great service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm a fan ❤️ of their kolsch 🍺 while everyone else loves their IPAs. I'd say they brew something for everyone. Omg Roberts Classic Pizza 🍕 is our fave. I think the secret is already out, but seriously the crust is perfection. This place such a great happy hour meetup....and it being so close to the Bay club makes it hard not to catch a few cold ones post workout to watch 🏀 🏈 ⚾. Yes did I say I'm a huge fan 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻 $10 pizzas on the weekend, can't go wrong 😎
First time dining here and it was a great experience overall. the Bartender lexi was super friendly, attentive, and made great drinks. I will definitely be back.
Always a good experience! Food, drinks and ambience hit the right spot - consistently. Solid local spot been going on 25+ years now, hopefully for the next 25!
The food and service were great. Very family friendly. Lobster and shrimp fettuccine was great, the steak was great. I would definitely recommend. I will be going back
I went to check out the vendor village market. I enjoyed the music and it was fun seeing all the different vendors. Got drinks at the bar afterwards and recieved great service from victor and Lexie.
The waiter/bar tender was exceptionally great and outstanding as today. The fries were perfect, crispy and delicious. My fish and chips were perfectly cooked in a very thin coating, extremely tasty. My wife's flat iron steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, juicy, very tender, and flavorful. Mashed potatoes were just so so. They have a good beer selection but no dark heavy strong beers. Their nitro stout was good. Faultline has stepped up and pushed their food back to great again; a year ago, it was below average. 3 years ago, it was great.

This place never disappoints. Whether you are here to hangout with your friends or of its an official happy hour meet. Great atmosphere in and out. Have been here multiple times on different contexts and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. Beer selection as well as the cocktails are great. Get the sampler to experience it. Latest visit was with my office colleagues. IPA onion rings, garlic fries, smoked wings were good in appetizers. Avocado hummus was just okay. Go for risky business and you won’t be disappointed.
I love this place so much. I specifically love to come here for brunch. My favorite is the shrimp and grits, and my daughter proclaimed that the French toast is incredible. Their beer is really good too. I’ve never had anything here that I don’t like. The cheese curds are another favorite. It’s a great place to come and watch sports, and the outdoor area is really nice and peaceful. Great music too!
I hadn’t heard of this spot until I came by during a community event hosted by Enjoyment Village. The event itself was really lively and brought together a lot of local vendors, which was great to see. After walking around for a bit, I ended up grabbing a meal from the restaurant and it was honestly really good. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Definitely glad the event introduced me to this place. I’ll be back!
Posting this review a bit late, but Laughing Monk Brewery is honestly one of my go-to spots to relax and watch NFL games. It's a hidden gem compared to a lot of bars around the San Jose area. The owner even allowed me to host my NFL draft party here this past year, and my group loved the vibe. Service and food are great We usually order the pizza, wings, or nachos, and you can't go wrong with any of them. I don't drink, but they clearly have plenty of beer options. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good vibes, great food, and solid service.
Service attentive. If you want indoor seating you need to reserve but they had plenty of outdoor seating and with the cold they had heated lamps. Food is pretty good would recommend the farmers market pizza. Onion rings were ok
This review is based on a 49ers watch party. First off… amazing service by Tony (serving the open tables in the bar area) considering there was loud and fanatic 49er fans, he was upbeat, friendly and very professional. Always checked on tables to make sure we had our drinks and food. Our orders were accurately placed and the food and drinks came out fast. Food also served hot. Very impressed with the venue, service, staff considering how busy it was. Very spacious with lots of seats and tables including outdoor seating. Drinks are priced fairly. Ordered the game day specials. I thought the fish and chips can be slightly bigger in size but the dipping sauce it came with was delicious. Sorry no pictures. Calamari was good too! Will definitely come here again and bring more friends. Thank you Laughing Monk Sunnyvale for an awesome time!
Great service. Very welcoming staff. From the time I got in everyone seemed so happy. The food was great and menu has alot of options. Aubrey was a delightful server n she made or group laugh the whole time. Definitely recommended this place to anyone. I will be navk very soon.
Just visited Oakmead Parkway Brewing in Sunnyvale – really nice place! It was pretty spacious and surprisingly quiet when I was there for lunch. I got a poke bowl and it was a huge portion, maybe a little pricey at $23. The staff were super friendly, checking in but not hovering. Parking was easy. They have a cool little outdoor area with a pond. My one suggestion would be to maybe ask for a little less oil on the bread for the burgers – it got a bit soggy.
Excellent food, great beer, great atmosphere, good service - recommend this as a nice micro brewery-style choice. The sweet potato fries are a must - among the best I have had. Very nice porter on tap. Sat outside beside the pond, really nice place to enjoy food & company. Recommended for sure.
Came in a for a late lunch and my visit was all positive. Service was quick and professional. Beer was delicious as well as my choice of food. I liked the atmosphere especially seated in front of the windows facing the ‘garden’. Try the Roasted Cauliflower as roasted enough not to be squishy and it has a very warm spice to it.
Great vibes Great service Great ranch Had a great time watching the 1st 49ers game of the season! Lexi was a wonderful bartender who took care of us the whole time, and Michelle is a great manager who’s passion and drive for taking care of guests and creating a great atmosphere and environment is so evident. What a great place to watch games, we’ll be back!
There is a show stopping pretzel in the world and it lives here in full suspension and ready to be devoured. I say get a second sweet mustard because you’re going to want to re-dip that thing on repeat. The Salmon / Mediterranean bowl is the way to go for those of us who want to stay snatched and I’d say a solid round of red wines and cava to round out the night if beer is not your thing. Our server was awesome! Juan! And the Laughing Monk should be lucky to have him as this was a packed night but he nailed this crazy packed section with ease and grace sans was the best and just as upbeat and fun as this restaurant. We entered laughing and exited laughing knowing all monks would be proud!
Went for a happy hour on a weekday . This place is the old fault line location but is rebranded . Service was top notch , the server was super attentive & was able to get orders quickly Food was the best part of happy hour . Usually finger foods are meh but here they maintain the quality of regular Ala carte Drinks are great, there is a good selection for a very decent price There is a gratuity for parties of 6 or more auto added .
I came in for a business meeting, but got surprised by how pleasant this place is. Good looking inside, even better outside... Today was the perfect day to enjoy a spotless blue sky, mild breeze at 68F, a few ducks coming from a nearby gorgeous pond, walking across the tables in the hope for some food leftovers... I felt like on vacation at a tourist resort, sipping an excellent German style lager together with tasty rosemary garlic fries. Highly recommended, both the place and the food. Did I mention that service was friendly an excellent? When they say Life is good"... Well, today was one of those moments.
Nice happy hour $2 off well drinks, beer and wine and appetizers. Wings were much better than expected being very crispy and hot. Beer was good but they were out of 2 of the ones I wanted. Friendly service but the interior is still very dated from the former resident Faultline Brewing. Parking lot needs major renovations with pot holes and barely visible lines.
Food was delicious, and made to order as requested. Some details were missed on the order, but in general it was a good dining experience. Food offerings are very good and diverse. They serve brunch on one menu alongside lunch until 3pm, at which time they switch out the menus to a lunch/dinner menu. The beers were good, but the margarita was not. All the servers were very cordial, friendly, and helpful. The pepperoni pizza and their main burger were outstanding. Plenty of high and short/regular tables, and the staff switched the TV to what we requested to watch, which was helpful. If you're a foodie, you'll enjoy sampling food on this menu. Try the beers - they have cool names, and you should find something you like. I'll definitely go back during college/pro football and basketball seasons this fall.
Similar to a Gordon Biersch or BJs, but at least it's local - more of a restaurant that makes their own beer than a stand-out brewery. Beautiful setting. Pretty limited beer menu, including about 6-8 mostly malty or West Coast styles. Friendly, but slow, service on a very quiet weekday afternoon. Pricey, but I guess that's Silicon Valley...
Went there for beer and March Madness. Beer was good, lively crowd when I arrived. Main game on the big TV was Warriors. I was hungry too so I ordered one of their personal 10” pizzas. Looked good but was lukewarm with tough crust. I had hoped for better. I enjoyed the Hefeweizen and their Pilsner, and preferred the former. Latter was just meh for me.
Good quality beer and food. Gumbo was on the money with a good amount of heat and lots of flavor. Pot roast was tender and flavorful. I got the beer flight and enjoyed all the variations with each being quite true to style. I did only get eight pours, which is the number of beers they had on tap but the three other flights i saw came out with the full 10 pours... I left in a bit of a hurry and didn't get a chance to find out what happened there. The patio area made for a great place for our family of four with two kids to eat and watch the ducks swim.
Food was good, staff very friendly and accommodating, ambiance fun. We sat in their outdoor seating which had a lovely view of a duck pound and fountain. The outdoor area was kid-friendly and peaceful. Another family even had their dog with them in the outdoor area so it's also pet-friendly. The chairs outside are metal with no cushions so if you're there for awhile it does get slightly uncomfortable. We went in October and they had a fun Oktoberfest menu. They are a brewery so they do serve a variety of beers. Indoors they have plenty of screens showing various sports channels so you can watch whatever game you want to watch while you eat. It does get pretty busy in the evening for dinner time and indoors is a lot louder than the outdoor seating area. It's a little on the pricey side but amazing food and service.
Quality foods and beers, and great atmosphere entertained me and my colleagues very much. Maybe because the place was a little bit crowded and staffs were busy, they did not notice us asking for something soon enough. But I understand it just cannot be helped sometimes. Overall, the place was lovely enough and I am happy to come back to this place in the next chance, just as I did this evening.
Laughing Monk is a great spot for craft beer lovers. The selection of beers is impressive, with unique brews that cater to a variety of tastes, from IPAs to stouts, each with rich and well-balanced flavors. Their wings are a highlight—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, making them an ideal pairing with a cold beer. The staff here is genuinely friendly and polite, always willing to help with recommendations or share a bit about the brewing process. The welcoming atmosphere, combined with quality brews and delicious wings, makes Laughing Monk a go-to for a relaxed and enjoyable outing.
Got a lot of food and a lot of beers! Came here on a weekday for dinner and it was surprisingly quiet ... just on the inside haha. The outside where you get to see the little psuedo river and have ducks coming up to you was just about full. The food and the beer was just.... "not bad". It was a chill vibe and to hang out but not really my first choice as a brewery Food/Beer: 5/10 Vibes: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Value: 5/10
They have completely revamped their food menu, now under new ownership. The salads are good portions and suitable for a power work lunch. Other standard brewery food like nachos, burgers, calamari are also solid food items, and the beer menu has plenty of choices for beer lovers. A large outdoor patio is ideal for an after-work gathering, and the large free parking lot makes it easy to find parking.
Went with a co-worker 2 nights in a row on biz trip as the 1st night was so good! Ate at bar and the male bartender staff were super friendly and social and made sure we were taken care of. We both loved the tap beers and we both ordered pizzas, which were the best I’ve ever had in the area on my many trips! Spinach artichoke dip was good too. Next night the lady bartenders were more focused on getting the place ready to close than waiting on customers and my female co-worker agreed that service was night and day different. She ordered the red snapper. It was breaded in a corn dog batter that she had to pick off as it was too thick and masked the flavor of what was a good tasting fish. I ordered the Tri-Tip Dip which was okay, but the roll it was on was a bit boring. So highly recommend the tap beers and pizza! Great bar and ambiance.
Very nice place to hang out with friends and co-workers to have a drink and mingle. You could sit inside or outside. There is a pond outside which makes it looks peaceful. The service is very good. They come to you very often to check for your need. There are some ducks walk around to look for food. If you want to order pizza, you have to wait very for it about 20 minutes. Around peak hour, there is no parking. You could wait around for people leaving and you can park.
Food was pretty good; got the garlic fries and the pizza. Pizza was thin crustish but higher quality ingredients. Many choices of food all around and theres something for everyone. All looked quality. Venue was cool too.. They forgot our strawberry lemonade and bell peppers on our pizza, granted we were a big group. Waiting on water a little while. They were slow, and then just us as a big group.
The food was good, we had the loaded nachos and truffle curds. The service was good and the beer was pretty good as well. Really cool merch. Plenty of parking.
Not bad, not bad...great in fact! Had gochujang chicken wings and spinach artichoke dip with fried tortilla chips. Wife had an Angus beef cheeseburger while I had a shrimp and grits, shrimp, wedge shaped fried grits with a cheesy sauce. Yum. Sorry to say I didn't include a pic of the food, but attached is a mug in just the right light ..
Super busy even on off days; very good beer. Much improved from faultline; their beers were pretty rough. Even when some staff are less-than-helpful or downright dismissive, we were lucky enough to have Jonathan as our server and he makes it worth it!
We went for a late brunch and had a great time. They had a DJ playing music, the outdoor seating area was nice with a small pond, the food and drinks were good too! We had Brewhouse Burger and From The South To The Mouth, and both were great; White Wine Sangria Pop is a must have! The beer flight let you try all the beers they have and we would say they tasted right. We will come back other times to try dinner menu for sure!
It’s a spacious place with lots of seating areas. I was there for lunch and didn’t see too many people for its size. About 30 people or so when we were there. The atmosphere was nice and beautiful next to a small pond that’s well maintained. We sat outside so it’s a little cold but they have the portable heater so it’s not too bad. The food was good and the portion was big. Most of us couldn’t finish our food. The price was slightly on the expensive side. Poke bowl or a sandwich is about $23. They have a special Halloween drink for about $15. I ordered a bowl of chowder and a drink and it came out to be about $35 with tips.
The food here is either hit or miss, but pretty good for a brewery. I liked my flat iron steak but I usually go for the pulled pork sandwich. Their fries are like steakhouse fries, lots of potato in them. My coworker got the brewhouse hamburger, medium rare. The meat was good but the bread was soggy with oil. My other coworker got the lobster pasta, and he thought it was good. I wouldn't recommend the berry spritz, it sounded good but tasted just straight up like ginger. Even though it had mint leaves in it. The service is always good whenever we come here. The staff is always very nice and personable, they make a point to swing by the time to check in but not so often that they're helicoptering you.
This was a decent brewery with a very nice location. It was not busy when when we were there (Wednesday lunch) and service was fast. They have a lot of TVs. The beers on tap were fine. They didn't have a terribly wide selection but did a few things well. Not worth going out of the way specifically for the beer though, as a brewery aficionado. Food was also fine, we had the nachos. A good place to visit but the location seemed to be the biggest draw. It seems to have had several names over the years.
The service was absolutely awesome. We showed up at the same time as a huge 130+ party and the service that my party of 5 received was pretty good, all things considered. They even had the maintenance staff cleaning tables and such. Much appreciated. Now, I ordered the BBQ spare ribs, Cole slaw, and fries. The fries were great. The ribs...well, they were definitely ribs, just not bbq. There wasn't a speck of seasoning anywhere to be found on the entire half rack. Was very disappointed but I didn't complain, just powered through and learned a lesson. I will come back, but I will never order the ribs again. Great beer selection and cool atmosphere.
The food was good even though I was surprised a poke bowl comes in a hot bowl. Unfortunately the food came one plate at a time with l several minutes between plates and we were 9 people. The atmosphere of the place is not bad with a wide beer selection that I could not try.
I would give this place 3.5 stars. This place is huge, and if you’re looking for a place to go with coworkers for happy hour this might be a good choice. We got 2 flights and tried all 10 beers. They were alright beers, a couple were pretty good, but nothing that stood out. The calamari was good but really really oily, and when it got cold they got really soggy. Not sure how the rest of the food is here, but I think overall this place is not bad, not great.
The beer was pretty decent here, but the food was a big time let down for me. I know it's a ritzy area, but the prices were just too high, like way too high. The Happy Hour Pretzel was the only reasonable item I thought. The fries were pricey for some basic fries. The sandwich was tasty, but not for the cost. As mentioned, the beer was decent though.
The location and ambiance are great, and the beers were excellent. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing—especially considering the appealing photos and high prices. I tried the lobster linguini, but the sauce was more like a soup, and the pasta lacked flavor. I’d recommend going for the beer and sticking to the appetizers.
I visited the restaurant for a work event. We sat outdoors. It’d be comfortable if there weren’t too many ducks bothering us. The appetizers were decent. I had the tika mock tail which was okay and very sweet. I ordered fish and chips, but substituted with sweet potato fries. I didn’t think the fish was fresh and regretted not ordering the pizza instead. I had a slice of the Hawaii pizza and it was nice.
The beer is good if you don't mind waiting 15 minutes for one and another 15 minutes when you need another. I visited Wednesday November 5th, 1:30 pm. In short horrible service, hostess closed hostess stand without letting bar tender know (which is where the sign directed you to go to be seated), wait staff/hostess walking around talking instead of helping customers (if you are on break do not be seen), the manager talking to his friend instead of leading his team and filling in for wait staff shortages. The only positives for service was the bar tender running around trying to take care of customers and the table busser who was even running food from the kitchen. The manager is the one responsible for what was/was not happening.
📍 Location & Vibe: Laughing Monk Brewing is located at 1235 Oakmead Pkwy in Sunnyvale. It has a decent atmosphere, especially for watching a game. The space is relatively comfortable and feels lively. Parking can be a bit challenging, it is a small lot so best to plan ahead. 🍽️ Food & Drink: On the positive side, they have a good prime rib deal that they offer seasonally, which is a nice option. The beer selection is also solid. ⏳ Service Issues: The service was a bit slower than anticipated. Even though we were sitting at the bar, it took a while to get our order in and for our food and drinks to arrive. 🗣️ Communication Breakdown: We also put our names down at the front but were never called, which was a little frustrating and seemed to indicate a lack of communication. 🤔 Overall Impression: Laughing Monk Brewing has some good points, including its atmosphere and food specials. While the service was slower and there were communication issues, the overall experience was acceptable. It's a place that's worth a visit, and hopefully the service on a different day would be better.
Great beers, only IPA, lagers and wheat beers on the menu, no stouts and porters. On the costlier side even by happy hour pricing standards. We started at 4 pm and left somewhere around 7 pm, I thought the server forgot to apply the happy hour prices on the beers and food we ordered during the happy hour upto 6 pm. One of us ordered a Moscow mule and there was no alcohol in it, we had to send it back to fix it, it felt a little odd as we upgraded to Tito's instead of standard Smirnoff. All other appetizers aren't as compelling as garlic fries and standard chicken wings. Overall the ambiance is superb, and the outdoor seating is wonderful. It gets full by 5:30-6 which is good for a weekday, no doubt it's a popular joint. I remember the time when I used to visit this place with office buddies almost weekly, it used to be called "Faultline", but it has gone faulty now judging by my few recent experiences.
It took us a long time to get seated despite the space being pretty empty! They were able to seat our party of 6 without a reservation though at 6pm on a Friday. The beers are good and they have a solid selection of cocktails, but limited mocktail options and no non alcoholic beers. We love the pizza here! So many fun flavors.
Tried the fish and chips at Laughing Monk in Sunnyvale. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The fish and fries were overly greasy, and even the back of the serving plate was slick with oil—which didn’t help the presentation or the overall feel of the meal. The food itself was just okay, nothing that stood out flavor-wise. The restaurant is quite spacious and located next to a pretty water fountain, which adds a nice touch to the atmosphere, but that alone didn’t make up for the mediocre food. Probably wouldn’t return unless the menu or quality improves.
I was enjoying my flight till I noticed the glass I just drank out of had a long crack running down the side of my glass. Like I could look pass the leaky ceiling but if they can't even protect their customers from possibly drinking glass then they don't need my service. 2 stars for the view
Service was good, beer was ok, food was completely unseasoned. Ordered the power bowl, no meat added, literally not even salt used. It was so incredibly tastless, the dressing was minimal and pretty flavorless as well. Ridiculous for the price.
After coming here almost every Sunday with my wife since 2019, today is the last time we will support Faultline. We used to love coming here - the staff was great, familiar faces each week and consistency across the board including food, drinks and service. But I’m disappointed to say that has all changed as of late and the quality has gone down on all fronts. The drinks are too expensive for one, their “Killer Margarita” I had for $18 literally tasted like Capris Sun with a hint of tequila in a small glass, compared to a $11 Bloody Mary that was relatively good. The pizza is the best thing they have on their menu and is reasonably consistent, and the beer is also good. Aside from the beer and pizza though, we used to get their salads that were very savory but they changed all the recipes and cut back on the portions but kept the same pricing which to me is always a deal breaker. They have a wild duck problem that is out of control on their outdoor patio area. Unfortunately they get fed even though they have signs but these ducks are so aggressive now that I have witnessed in multiple occasions them biting people and even bit my wife on the leg. Be aware of this if you choose to eat outside with children. I’ve also had issues the last few visits with dirty water glasses, something that’s always frustrating. The turnover on their staff is something I’ve never seen before as a regular. They constantly have new help and for someone that will eat here once it’s not a big deal, but my wife and I appreciated eating here every Sunday for not only the food back then, but also for the conversations we would have with the staff, it was nice to be remembered when you came in. This has all changed though as I’ve heard things about management causing issues but regardless, it’s disappointing. All I can say is, if you’re looking for decent pizza, this place is alright, same for the beer. I’d stay away from everything else and be mindful of how expensive the drinks are. There was a point in time I even recommended this place to go-workers.. no longer.
The food was ok, I didn’t find it to be anything special, but the service during our visit was horrible. Appetizer received after the meals were delivered, billing problems when asked for split checks, one order came out wrong and the server who brought it blew off the concern/issue, even getting glasses of water took a long time, and generally slow service.
For “okay” food, this place is way too overpriced. I know Faultline used to have a chef back in the day that I liked but I feel like he’s not there anymore. I think the place could be better but it might just be a bit lazy because of the good traffic it gets from people that work locally. There is a rewards program that’s cool and it’s easy location wise but I think this place could be a lot better.
The food was delicious but the service was terrible. Servers name was Francisco. Everyone in his section waited at least 15 minutes before being able to order. Got our appetizers and finished them before we even got any beer or water? Forgetful of minor requests such as needing napkins and extra sauce but was so quick to bring us our bill lol.
Showed up for happy hour a little past 5, ordered some drinks and appetizers. When we were finished, our waitress gave us our bill with everything full priced. We asked if that was a mistake, but our waitress (who we had to flag down multiple times just to place an order on top of the fact that she forgot our order even after WRITING IT DOWN) told us that happy hour is ONLY at the bar then quickly left. We went to the hostess to confirm and she said yes, happy hour is only at the bar. We showed them their website, where it is never explicitly stated that this is the case, to which she responded "You have to tell them you're here for happy hour". This obviously implies that we would have to have the knowledge beforehand that we would need to be seated in a specific area to receive said prices, even though we walked in during the happy hour period.
Disappointed. Went to sit at the bar realized both of our feet were super sticky from the floor not being cleaned and the smell was awful. This should have been our first warning to leave. Asked our bartender if we can go sit outside instead or if we needed to go back to the front to be seated at the patio. The bartender said normally you have to go back to the front but it’s okay to go to the patio and he’ll take care of it no problem. Took our menus to the patio and the server came up to us saying he was yelled at by the staff simply for us moving from the bar to a table outside. This made us feel really uncomfortable and not welcomed. Decided at this point the experience wasn’t for us. Sadly didn’t even try a beer and definitely won’t be back.
I went there today as the establishment was advertising rides to the 49er game. Got there a little after 10am to start watching games, have a drink and grab something to eat..it was a very cold environment, staff was extremely rude. The lady that looks like a dude with dark hair who was working behind the bar, jealous and rude!! We asked if she could change one of the 10 TVs to another game and rudely said "we don't have the password". There were others approaching and asking if one of the TV's could be changed and she was rude to them also.We ordered our drinks and didn't even finish them and left. I will never go back there and have posted on social to all my friends about my experience. Do better and hire staff who are pleasant, and welcoming.
$50 dollars for lunch. What the heck?!? That was with no beer. And to top it off the pizza was absolutely horrible nachos were extremely bland I will never go to this place again. And the waiter never asked one time how the food was typical poor customer service.
This restaurant is located in a residential area and its noise has been disturbing all the neighbors. On weekends and at night they play music extremely loudly without the slightest consideration for how this affects the people around them—especially when these are the only hours many residents have to rest. Please do not support this restaurant, because by doing so you are supporting behavior that causes disturbance and harm to others.
