I went there for their buffet and had a really great experience. The food was very nice, with good variety and quality. I would definitely recommend this buffet to everyone it’s one of the best places for the price. You truly get great value for the money you’re paying, and it’s absolutely worth it.
I recently visited Brindavan Restaurant and absolutely loved the food! I tried the Paneer Butter Masala, Apollo Fish, and Fire Naan—all were delicious, but the Apollo Fish was on another level. The flavors were perfect, fresh, and so satisfying. I would definitely go back especially for the Apollo Fish. Loved it!😋
We went to Brundavan and the food was amazing from start to finish. The first thing we tried was the naan, and the flavor was absolutely delicious—soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Honestly, it’s the best naan we’ve had so far. Every dish we ordered was full of flavor and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. On top of that, the service was great—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back.
The food was super tasty. Just like the food in Hyderabad! The service was prompt and the food was cooked as per our request. The service staff was prompt and service was provided with a smile. Appreciate all the good work you all are doing. We ordered Peshwari Chicken Tikka, Boneless Chicken Biryani, Butter Naan, Garlic Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. Every item was cooked perfectly well. Special thanks to the cashier who was courteous and checked with us from time to time to ensure we were getting the best. I must say, we were the last customers of the day around 10 pm. Still the service was excellent. Cheers folks!
One my goto places here in the Bay Area. Amazing food with really nice atmosphere and customer service. Some of my favorite items on the menu are Gongura Chicken Biryani, Hyderabad Chicken dum biryani (fresh when ordered before 1:30 - 2:00 PM, had occasional disappointments when i got this biryani after this time), Apollo fish, Mutton Chukka, Gongura paneer biryani (amazing vegetarian menu item if you can handle spicy food), Hara bharat kebab, Peshawari chicken tikka, Hyderabadi Chicken 65. I can keep going - but no one would like that 😜 Bad news for Goat (Mutton) lovers out there - this place has one of the worst goat meat you could possibly taste (be it Mutton Dum Biryani or any curry you get, you'll most likely be disappointed) - If you take my honest opinion and suggestion TRY NOT TO ORDER ANYTHING GOAT here (Lamb would be way better). I dont think they've got a good supplier for goat meat (the meat is always extremely chewy and very very dry). Only exception to this being - Mutton Chukka (which is surprisingly amazing) I dont know if they just mess up the biryanis and curries or try and get rid of the older stuff 😞
Had the mutton dum biryani, chicken dum biryani and haleem from this place. One of the best biriyani s in the bay area, properly spicy and flavorful with enough quantity. Haleem was topped generously with bista and chili oil. They have lunch buffet from Fri - Sun till 3pm. Great variety of food items, veg and non veg. Include multiple veg and non veg starters, multiple biryani s, sweets, live appam counter and rotis, chat items etc. cost ~ 22-23/head Would definitely recommend. Addition: Peshawari tikka is great, good masala, good charring. Tried Khubani ka meetha also, it was nice.
We went first time for dinner and Love the atmosphere and ambience of this resto. The service was good. Food was very delicious as we ordered Appetizers: Chicken Jali tikka (very good flavor of tikka and nicely cooked). Chicken Zalzala was very good in taste. Garlic naan and bullet naan was spicy and nice. Must visit this place if you want to try Indian food. Will definitely try their buffet 😊
I specifically went there to try their Goat Haleem which was superb. I’ve never tried this dish before. Though it was a bit spicy for my taste, the slow cooked goat and the creamy texture of lentils and wheat was so delicious that it makes me want to come back for more. I wish the serving size were bigger.
I had a delightful dining experience at Brundavan restaurant. The Apollo fish served as our starter was the star of the dinner; it was perfectly seasoned and had a fantastic crunch. For the main course, we savored the Chicken Shahi Zaffrani with garlic naan and the Chicken Potlam Biryani. Both dishes were rich in flavor and left us thoroughly satisfied. To end on a sweet note, we indulged in the Double Ka Meetha, which was a delightful dessert. What added to the charm was that the restaurant is open until 12am on weekends, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Highly recommended!
Relatively new restaurant with ample seating for dine in. The preparation for most of the dishes is Hyderbadi. We had the Apollo Fish and the boneless chicken biryani. The taste and the flavors were exceptional. The biryani had the right mix of spices. Recommend to order the medium spicy. The staff is polite, quick and have a sense of humor.
We got there at 3pm and were told they were closed even though the advertisement said 12-4pm. We insisted and we waited and were eventually seated. The large buffet was good but many trays were empty and were not refilled. The buffet was split into two halves, left vegetarian, right meat with the center being rice and condiments. Some dishes lacked proper spicing but the dishes were correctly very spicy hot but the wife said they were all a little too hot.. There were no towels dispenser, paper towels, or a garbage can in the bathroom. The soap despenser was broken and in the sink. Very grood waiter staff. It was very crowded and everyone was enjoying their time. I really wanted to try the Tandoori chicken but it was never refilled. They told my wife the restraunt had run out of some items before we sat by a very kind server but we had traveled quite a long distance and wanted to try the restraunt. The music speaker was close to us and the level was too loud, 86db, we put in ear protection. We may try again some day but we will come close to opening time. The dining room was in the old AT&T room. Very nice touch that all the chairs had white covers!!
We have to pay at the entrance to enter the restaurant. The buffet table is near the entrance so it's a little congested. During the weekend they had a live aapam station. Their double ka meetha was very good. The fruit custard was a little thick. Onion pakoda was excellent. Their shrimp curry was authentic. The taste of their goat meat was excellent. My family liked the Pani Puri. The white rice was well cooked compared to many of the Indian restaurants in the Bay area. They do have the banquet hall.
Good, tasty food and a lot of options to choose from. A tad bit costly than other Indian restaurants close by, but the taste makes up for it. Be mindful of hot and spicy food though. Not overwhelming but not suitable for everyone. I guess the worst thing was the service as one of the ordered dishes was not included in our take out package. Better you check it out before leaving the parking lot. Update: food taste is not consistent. The biryani this time was way more spicy and a lot less and low quality meat in it. Same with another mutton dish.
Had a lunch buffet on Saturday. I was impressed with their freshly made appam. I had three pieces and my wife had 4. The vada and parka from the main food station were delicious too. The only thing I am not satisfied with was not too many choices of veg curry dishes. The shrimp curry also looked not so fresh. Other than that, everything was good. Will definitely pay another visit again
Good food. Friendly staff with a sense of humor, especially the young man from Hyderabad. Clean place. Nice interiors. The only thing is, the staff didn’t wear any mask. While serving the food, they were making pleasant small talk, but after CoVd, my thoughts were, ‘Hopefully his spit doesn’t spray all over my food.’ Other than that, it’s a nice place to have delicious food.
Food was ok, I wouldn't say great. The buffet is 25$ per person which is quite expensive for the kind of food they provide. Most of the items are half or full empty and they aren't replacing them as soon as you'd expect. When I pay 25 I expect to see all items available. 20% of the trays are empty and we went at 2pm while the buffet closes at 3pm. That can be improved.
We came by for the weekend buffet around 1:30 PM. The price was $25 per person, which is reasonable for the variety offered, but the experience was a bit inconsistent. While the flavors in the vegetarian dishes were good, many of the items were unfortunately cold by the time we got to them. The service was also a bit slow, and we were disappointed to find that they had completely run out of desserts by the time we finished our main course. It is a nice spot with potential, but they seem to struggle with replenishing items and maintaining food temperature during the later lunch rush. We would be open to trying it again, but definitely much earlier in the day
Worst buffet (recently launched Grand Indian & continental buffet)I have ever had, there no option to give 0 star…. labels are all fooling in the name of semya payasam they are serving sooji payasam, instead of aloo tikki serving some other filet, mango daal was so dense and tasteless, lemon rice had very different smell and taste, all sweet were 3rd grade… in Indian buffet we expect Indian sweet but they kept all low priced sweet like pastry, brownies, some mango pudding that also has bread in it…table had all unhygienic spoon and also found hair ( may be people should also take care while taking good). Veg food was so pathetic I can’t even explain. Please if you want good food don’t go in there buffet… I just walked away without even finishing my meal and they did not even had the courtesy to say something.
We went to Brandavan restaurant for dinner to celebrate my daughter’s 1st anniversary, but the experience was very disappointing. We ordered both Veg and Non-Veg dishes. After waiting 30 minutes, they served only the non-veg dish. They completely forgot our Veg order. When we reminded them after another 20 minutes, they finally served it, our mood was already upset. The food was cold and tasteless, and we felt like we wasted our time and money. We were four people, and all of us had a very bad experience. We also complained to the manager, but he didn’t seem to care at all. The only staff member who was polite and well-behaved was Jagtar, who was cleaning the tables. Sadly, this was our first and last visit to this restaurant.
They sell white rice in the name of biriyani. Bought 1 chicken dum biryani and 1 mutton dum biryani. Bill amount $34.90. I just got 2 boxes full of white rice with half an egg in each. There were no mutton pieces and one very tiny chicken piece. I have called the restaurant and reported but no action taken.
Hello! I am a regular at Brundavan and have always loved the place for its authentic Indian food and its great variety. However, I'm compelled to drop a 1-star review due to an extremely distressing experience last night. During my visit, I was subjected to a horrifying situation caused by another customer, which the restaurant allowed and entertained, leading to a highly unpleasant experience for me. A lady dining at the same time as me was nitpicking with the waiters and making various unrelated demands. Eventually, she didn’t pay for her order as her card was declined. When the waiters were away, and as she was pretending to leave, she took unsolicited pictures of me and my food, and to my shock, she also passed racist slurs against Muslims. When I brought this to the management’s attention, they swiftly intervened, but instead of addressing the severity of her actions, they merely shushed her out of the restaurant while I was still trying to get her to delete the pictures. This left me with very little time to react and process the situation. Although the management may not have known who she was, it is their responsibility to protect their customers from harassment beyond just removing the perpetrator to calm the atmosphere. Other folks waiting at the desk mentioned that this specific lady has harassed them at other locations and is a known troublemaker in the area. I did not take pictures of the incident out of goodwill for the restaurant, but I am deeply disappointed and confused by the lack of thorough questioning or answers provided. This woman took advantage of the fact that the staff were busy and not around. Despite calling for help from the table, nobody came around as they were busy. I had to walk up to a staff member to explain what was happening. She continued to take pictures of me even as I sought assistance. By the time the situation was addressed and she left, my food had been taken away for disposal to make room for other customers - in a rush. I urge the management to take prompt and decisive action to avoid entertaining such customers in the future and, if possible, report this woman to law enforcement if she is seen around again. I am concerned about the risk she poses to me given that I do not have access to her iPad and the pictures she took. Please take this feedback seriously and consider reserving the right to refuse service to customers who could potentially harass others. Thank you. The food was great but I don’t feel like visiting again due to this experience. I believe this situation could have been handled much more efficiently by the staff.
