Enjoyed our experience here. Make an online reservation guys. We made one. Got our table 15 minutes late but the team there were super fast in cleaning it and getting it ready once it was available. The chef grilled us some vegetables as a thank you for your patience. The fig jam in the cheese plate was the highlight. The asparagus is not to be missed Patata bravas was yummmm The sausage buscata was a little too salty. We ordered a bunch of other stuff which was delicious. We ate so much that we didn't have space for dessert. Drinks (cocktails) were strong yet sweet. I loved my clairvoyance.

We were browsing where to get dinner last minute on a Thursday night and found this place. My boyfriend is a tapas skeptic and the pictures on google made him curious. I’ve been to Spain and (apologies to the Spanish) but it’s some of the best tapas experiences I’ve had. Yes, it’s more expensive than prices there but the food is incredible. Our waiter explained the sherry menu in great detail to us and we decided to do a flight so we could try. My mom and I decided we aren’t sherry people but their cocktails were delicious. Here’s what we ordered for 3 people (we could’ve ordered one less plate honestly but we were on vacation): Black garlic manchego: 10/10 Grilled asparagus: 9/10 (bc of the portion but incredible) Gambas al ajillo: BEST I’VE EVER HAD 100000/10 Baguette: 10/10 you need it with the gambas to soak up the sauce Chicharrones: 10/10 (my boyfriend usually hates these and ate half of the order) Paella classics for 1: 10/10 again, better than what I had in Spain. So much flavor and meat included in this. Gateau basque: 9/10 delicious and surprisingly lighter than expected with house maraschino cherries on top The staff was awesome, the dishes incredible and a great place to spend an evening. Deserves all the awards in my opinion. Open one in Houston, TX please! We need tapas!!!

The “gateau basque” is THE BEST dessert I have ever had in my entire life! I am not local to the area, so now I will have to daydream about it until I can return! The mussels in coconut cream sauce were also so delicious! The guitarist and live music were phenomenal, and the wait staff were great. This felt like a gem hidden in the heart of downtown Santa Fe!

If I could give this amazing restaurant 10 stars, I would. Our server Nicole is wonderful, took care of us, and boxed the leftovers. We tried the tangy kale salad, goat cheese and gluten free bread, bruschetta, the bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese sauce, perfectly cooked sea bass, fall off the bone ribs, and two mouth watering desserts. Everything was fantastic with beautiful plating. Call ahead to reserve your table because they fill up quickly.

Fantastic! Small restaurant serving tapas. We enjoyed every single dish as you'll see in the photos. But our favorite was definitely the branzino. It was made to perfection. Their cocktails are amazing! And the hard alcohol is actually all from New Mexico! This was our favorite restaurant this week!

Best food I had while staying in Santa Fe. Reasonably priced, good wine selection, great small plates. Pro tip- paella is outstanding and good portion size. Main dining room could definitely use some art or color.

We got seated at the bar and had literally the BEST service. Joze helped us with our orders and recommendations and it was wonderful! The food was so delicious and the sangria was super refreshing too. We got the grilled artichokes and the anchovies bruschetta. Got a basque cake to share. Absolutely divine!! 😍

Overall pretty good, excellent service, wish they had a few more vegetarian options though. The vegetarian paella was very good, and I’m comparing to a bunch I’ve had in Spain. Good wine selection, and I’m happy to have this restaurant in Santa Fe which is inundated with so many New Mexican cuisine restaurants, which is good but if you live here you need some variety. The artichokes are my favorite, and my least favorite was the dessert which was a hard pastry with a creamy orange filling, which I would have liked if it was softer but my girlfriend liked it hard so she was happy.

We came here for New Year’s Eve dinner and it was such a great experience. We had 8pm reservations and because it’s a small space, they were a little behind seating people. The management did a great job getting us drinks and appetizers while we waited. Overall, the service was great. We ordered quite a few tapas and everything was incredible. Very unique and delicious options to choose from. We’d definitely recommend coming here.

La Boca is casual but with a vibe. The food is always creative (get the paella and morcillas!), and the service is friendly and unfussy. Every time I leave, I wonder why I don’t go more often

We enjoyed our evening at the taverna with live music. All the tapas were excellent, and we especially loved the mussels. Service was nice and professional. A great evening.

I sat at the bar and observed Tif Jo create drinks that were works of art. This tapas spot has a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Try the raisin ice cream for dessert.

Fine dinning in tapas portions. Flavours are rich and smart. We loved it! Perfect for lunch. Service is friendly too.

The food, service and atmosphere all exceeded expectations. The restaurant is lively. And the chef takes great care with high quality ingredients and authentic Spanish flavors.

There are a lot of restaurants to choose from in Santa Fe but I'd recommend La Boca to anyone interested in tapas or paella. Not to mention an extensive list of Spanish wines! We enjoyed some Serrano ham and then we shared a traditional paella for 1. Plenty of food for us. And it was superb! We had the Pot de Creme and Vanilla cream tart. Both were yummy desserts.

Raquel was an amazing, knowledgeable, and kind server. We were able to share a bottle of the txakoli primo Bianco, gluten-free bread with butter and EVOO, the roasted artichokes, and eggplant. I can’t recommend this place enough for my fellow GF friends (please note: I am gluten-intolerant and not celiac) for the high-quality food, wine, and service.

What an exceptional dining experience! Everything was just perfect. We had a phenomenally cheerful and friendly server who welcomed us into the courtyard. Her gorgeous smile and happy attitude were infectious. I really appreciated the ambience here and the laid-back vibe and mellow energy. The food is incredible. We sampled lots of different dishes, but some of my favorites were the artichokes and the roasted potatoes. The deep fried shrimp were tender and sweet. I can’t say enough about the desserts! It was a wonderful evening, and I extend my gratitude to each person who played a role from the purveyors to the prep cooks and head chef and Madison the host. Bravo team!

Went here with my girlfriend for my bday dinner and it was seriously one of the best dinners of my entire life! We also got a few other tapas I didn't get pics of but bruschetta was incredible! This place leaves you flooded with dopamine and love for quality food. Shoutout to Breena for being an incredible server as well! Thanks again 🙏❤️

A spanish tapas style retaurant located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Every dish was excpetional, and the wine choices were fabulous. The service was flawless, attentive and genuine, prompt and knowlegeable. The wine service was performed perfectly. Food quality was what I would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant in Madrid. Overall a delight. I would absolutely return to this restaurant. The tradition paella and the seared yellowtail tapa were standouts.

We really enjoyed a spontaneous lunch at La Bocca. With no reservations they fit us in at the bar. Started with a pitcher of Sangria. Ate Pork Belly/Chicharone , anchovies, eggplant. The Mediterranean Salad & Pork Belly were my favorites.

We had an amazing meal and time at the restaurant last night. The food was amazing, especially the eggplant tapas and lemon cake were our favorites! Polite and fast service. Definitely we will be back soon! Thank you!

Best paella I’ve ever had—even better than in Spain! The pinchos were amazing, the churro ice cream was unforgettable, and even the cider impressed. Staff were kind, courteous, and attentive, making the whole experience outstanding. A must-visit in Santa Fe.

OMG...what a fantastic gastronomic experience. We had paella, and a cheese table as starter. Wonderful ambiance, superior service, excellent wine selection. If you are for Spanish food, this is your goto place in Santa Fe.

A really delicious Spanish restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The restaurant is small and clean without any flashy decorations. Paella, patatas, bruschetta, grilled artichokes, gambas al ajillo, cheese grilled egg plant... all the food was fantastic and delicious. The staff's friendliness made my stay comfortable. I recommend anyone who goes to Santa Fe to experience the joy of eating here!!

The food was so delicious! We liked everything we got and the main person there was so helpful and considerate. The house soda was a must! It’s so crazy to taste something that good!

We were able to sit on the back patio, which was nicely shaded. The food was all really good, but my favorites were the local mushroom pasta special, the lamb meatballs, and the artichokes. Shout out to our server, Brian, who was not only a delight to speak with but also steered us to great bottle that didn't bust our budget. He was so good at navigating the multiple tables he was covering but still making sure each table felt special and heard. The staff was really great, and I noticed that they stepped in to help with each other. The back patio hosts helped clear tables, there were food runners who conveyed info well to servers. There was even a manager who helped clear and clean tables while checking in on guests' satisfaction. Our table neighbors expressed that they had been here before and made it a priority to come back. Based on our experience, we will be back and telling others to make it a stop, as well!

We went to La Boca for dinner on a Sunday night the week between Christmas and NY. You definitely need to make a rsvp in advance. There was great live music. The food was great and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience at L Boca! The hostess squeezed us in and was so kind and welcoming even when we came early for our reservation. Our server offered great suggestions, was friendly and fast, and was also kind and welcoming. The food and drinks were amazing and service was top notch.

La Boca is that spot! We came in for tapas and left feeling like we’d just taken a mini trip through Spain and the Basque region without leaving Santa Fe. Huge shoutout to our server Christopher who absolutely made the night. He put together a totally impromptu, custom food and wine pairing for us and nailed every single course. Tapas, wine, dessert, even the digestif were all next level. He talked us through the wines in a way that was fun and approachable, brought out the bottles so we could snap pics of the labels, and even sent us off with tips on local wine shops to hit next. Zero attitude, all passion. Foodie magic. Ask for Christopher.

This was a magnificent Valentines day restaurant. The food was excellent, the basque pintxos were divine with the blood sausage. The waiter was excellent and provided wonderful recommendations for a sherry flight. The seating was very romantic. Reservations were definitely a good choice.

Last night we had dinner at La Boca, and I’m still thinking about it. Every single thing we ordered was phenomenal- beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care but what truly made the night unforgettable was the staff. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed by everyone. There’s a warmth here that you can’t fake. José, in particular, was incredible: attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and just an absolute joy. He made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first visit. And special mention to Socia and Tiffjo! We’re only in town for three nights, and that says everything: we’re already going back for a second night. Not just for the food (which alone would be reason enough), but to soak up the atmosphere again and enjoy some live music. La Boca isn’t just a great meal, it’s an experience. If you’re deciding where to spend your evening, this is the place.

We really enjoyed our experience here. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails. They recommend 2-4 tapas for two people. We ordered 5 different items plus dessert and it was perfect. If you’re gluten-free, they offer gluten-free bread options as well as dessert.

Best restaurant in Santa Fe, hands down. I typically don't care for tapas but La Boca finally made me see the light. The mushroom croquettas had us rolling our eyes with pleasure! We almost ordered two. The bread was outstanding but the EVOO was oozing with good quality. I asked for another serving and wanted to buy it. The chicharróns were also freaking delicious. Ranked service as 4 only because they, while super super nice and attentive, were slow to start. I'm kind of finding that's the case with most places in Santa Fe, so not a huge knock. Anyway, best restaurant of the year so far, and can't wait to recommend it to everyone!

Wonderful ambiance, amazing food, even better service and people. We had reservations for our anniversary dinner while in town, and the staff took amazing care of us (wish we got their names - but everyone was amazing!) Genuine people who love what they do and made our experience 10/10. Also, the flat iron steak and the bruschetta is a MUST try! Will be coming back next time we are in town :) Thank you!

Our party of 4 had dinner at La Boca on a Friday night. We had a good meal, and generally enjoyed everything we got. The restaurant was a bit too hot though - wishing it was just a little cooler. We ordered 8 dishes and our favorites were eggplant pintxo, artichokes, garlic shrimp and steak . Jamon croquettes were average. We were feeling too hot and decided to skip dessert.

Service was on slower side of things throughout the meal, but all servers were pretty nice. All of my tapas were pretty delish, and I really liked their Spanish mushroom soup, papatas bravas and and mussels with coconut milk salsa verde: everything was spot on. Their Spanish negroni cocktail was lovely, too. The gateau basque dessert kinda ruined my meal: it seems to have been sitting in the fridge for the day but it was certainly not made fresh and I could hardly taste vanilla bean in it. A lady manager came by and was rather kind to comp it after I declined to try another dessert instead.

Amazing food and drinks! We had paella, sourdough, and olives and all were amazing! We tried a variety of white wines as well as the sangria and all of them were amazing. The service was a bit odd but nothing bad, we just overheard a lot of chatter sitting at the bar which was entertaining. Great place overall!

Try everything, you will not be disappointed! Not the fastest service but good things come to those who wait. Steak is delicious, try it. Chocolate & Coffee Ganache, give me more please. In the future episode of my 500 lbs live, I will mention this restaurant as the tipping point.

We sat in the courtyard patio which was very nice. We could hear the live music inside the restaurant but could still have a normal conversation. The food was great with the exception of the paella. The artichokes, the asparagus, shrimp and baguette were all outstanding.

Very intimate little space. As the draw was a Spanish tapas restaurant I was a little bit disappointed that the decor was very uneventful. I expected there to be some Spanish influence. There were 2 tables (including ours) when we went there and yet we had to wait for our orders to be taken and dirty dishes to be removed from our table. The food was delicious and we will be back to try some further dishes.

We have been several times and always loved the food but finally tried the paella and it was the worst I’ve ever had. Soggy, no crispy crust whatsoever (that any authentic Spanish paella strives for), a weird assemblage of vegetables with way too many red peppers (it was easily by volume 70% peppers 20% other veggies and maybe 10% rice). Didn’t taste cohesive at all. Like the rice had been cooked in a pot as normal rice is and then just tossed with some veggies. We mentioned this to our waiter and got basically “yeah we just don’t have time to make it the traditional way.” I brought a friend from out of state specifically because she loves paella and she was also very disappointed. Can highly recommend the steak, the eggplant, carrots, both salads, the saffron cherry soda, and the gateau basque. But skip the paella.

Their Paella Classica is definitely their signature dish, but honestly, it's just not really my thing. The other dishes, however, are all perfectly fine. The only downside is that they are a bit overpriced.

A

Seafood Paella was just okay and a bit too salty. The portion size is huge for the 2 ppl option. I don’t think it’s the authentic Spanish version. The other tapa ordered was amazing.

We recently had dinner here and our experience was OK. While my waitress was very attentive, the food was not as great as expected. The paella, big portion, but too much sausage and chicken, not enough seafood, and tasted over salty and smoky. Mussels are small and tasted mediocre.

S
Savanna Vanderberg

I recently went to La Boca for a date night. I loved the menu though the carrots were our favorite. A fair warning their bruschetta was not traditional bruschetta. We loved our server, he was 10/10. I do find the seating very close together and we were up on the stage which was VERY close. Overall we had a great time!

B
Brian Carlson

Food was OK, but service was slow … at this price point, I expect more enthusiasm from staff and menu. Beef, tuna and salads were tired and uninspiring… 4 slices of mediocre crusty bread were served way too late to enjoy with the plates 🫤

H
Hu Shawn

The service and environment was very good. But the food was not that good. Bruschetta was amazing and the only one worth it that night. I loved dipping the black truffle sauce with bread. Maybe because the cooking was inconsistent, Gambas sl ajillo was too salty and completely inedible. Besides Paella was terrible too. The rice was cooked before. The chicken was too much. And the vegetables, seafood and rice are cooked separately and don't mix together at all.

We had reservations for New Years Eve at 7pm and went inside and they told us we had to go outside to the basement. This was not our first time at this restaurant and we never had to eat in the basement before. We walked through a dirty alley towards the back and on entering the basement at 6:56pm, hostess Emma told us we needed to go outside and wait. I said it is cold out and we do not want to wait outside. In the meantime my Wife was sitting inside on a bench by the entry below the coat rack where people wait. Again Emma looks at me and says you need to go outside and wait. I said we are not going out in the cold and she said we were blocking where they were trying to seat people which was not true as we were on the bench where you are supposed to wait. She then a third time said you all need to wait outside. At this point we decided we were not going to take this from a rude a hostess and we simply left. It should have been enough after the first time when I said no, as we were not blocking anything, but she was rudely persistent. Boca management needs to know about how this person was rude to us. We then walked across the street to the Bull Ring restaurant and the hostess there was beyond nice and was able to fit us in and it was a great experience. FYI Emma proceeded to cancel our reservation on Open Table so we could not leave a review, so I am leaving a review here.

L
Lawson Faulkner

Some of the worst service that we have ever had. The night started off with a hostess failing to even acknowledge the line of people waiting to be seated for 10 minutes; even those with a reservation. Once we finally got our table, it was another 20 minutes before we could even get a glass of water, let alone place a food or drink order. We had a few courses, which were alright, but nothing to write home about. After waiting ages for our first round of drinks, we actually had to cancel our second round after another 30 minute wait. Throughout the entire meal, not a single apology or even acknowledge of the terrible service. We might’ve stuck around for a few more dishes, but at this point, we were just exhausted by the lack of care. Unfortunately, I think restaurants such as these receive a lot of unearned hype and subsequently get an inflated ego. What made the awful service worse was the total disdain with which the staff treated its customers. I wouldn’t say we’re food snobs by any means, but I can’t think of a time that an experience has felt more insulting. Can’t recommend NOT going here enough.
