Tip: The Surfer Breakfast Burrito is a must-try, especially if you ask for it cut in half to share due to its large size.

Great hole in the wall joint. Food was freaking amazing! We got the carne asada tacos and quesadilla.
I ordered the Super Asada burrito through Uber Eats. First, my food was packaged very well and upon unpacking, the burrito was so beautiful I was inspired to do a photo shoot. As far as taste- let me tell you-This as the best asada burrito I’ve ever had. This is like some secret recipe that came to this country under the cover of darkness with the intentions of bringing peace to the world, one stomach at a time. Only problem with that theory is that the super asada is big enough to feed three grown people, maybe 4.
A little off the beaten path, but not lacking in the quality, or atmosphere. When we walked in wasn't too sure of the place, decided to try it. And I'm so glad we did. Our waitress was very helpful in helping us decide what to get. The burritos were awesome. Really huge. We are on them for 2 days. You get to watch it being made and it's a huge tortilla that all that goodness goes into. Your eyes won't believe it. Looking for an evening snack, this is the place to cure that craving. Just check the pics.
Excellent burritos. We tried both the carne asada and the chicken. Large portion. Comes with chips and salsa. Seating indoor and outdoor with nice staff members. The chicken burrito won out as the best. They also provide cold water. Go check this place out. Accepts credit cards as well.
Their nachos were lovely and the lime margarita I had was not too sweet, very friendly staff, all in all good quality.
Best Surfer Breakfast Burrito on the Westide! - made w real grilled hash browns, not fried potato chunks. Ask for it cut in half so you can share as its too much for 1 person. Tacos de pollo (ask for guac!) & The Bean N Cheese burrito ( only $8.75)! W pico de gallo. Apple Pay accepted :) Only negative is their chicken marinade/chips a little too salty. PRO TIP: Groundworks Coffee next door - grab a cafe latte and you've got the best breakfast value in Santa Monica! Benches outside.
Great food, I always get my lunch here when I’m around the area. They just added more items to there menu and there’re all great. Wish they had hotter red salsa 🌶️
The burritos and street tacos here are both authentic and fresh. It’s a really wonderful little hole in the wall kind of place. I do miss the spicy carrots and hope those return after the pandemic. But otherwise this place still rocks with a real taste of Mexico.
Good god do not try Dave's gourmet insanity sauce. Most of the sauces are fine but this one's like a nail bomb to your pain receptors. I thought Satan himself had lept into my mouth. Hold on... The room is shaking, lights are flickering, and I can hear aramaic chanting in the distance. Also the staff are really nice, the food is great and cheap.

My favorite bean, rice, and cheese burrito. I am a vegetarian so all I eat in terms of burritos is a BRC. This is the best one. They use black beans.. I am craving them right now but do not live in town so instead I am writing a review for them
This place has the very best breakfast burritos!!! I don't know why anyone would not give it 5 stars! I just visited for the first time after being gone for 3 years and I was quickly reminded why I returned!!! They are honestly the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! That having been said...and I'm not going to dock them for this, but I will say that if it isn't fresh horchata it isn't delicious. It tastes like creamer and cinnamon... But when they have the real stuff it is on point 👌🏽

Always awesome. Love it! Everything always fresh. Long time customers 3-5 times a week. Totally recommend the super burrito!
This place has the best steak tocas I've ever eaten. The best (mild) salsa I’ve ever had. It's actually insane. I was really contemplating buying the salsa bottle they sell separately. The chicken taco was good (not as great as the steak taco. On the pricey side (what isn't in SM?). But very good. Very cramped. Not a sit-in but take out type of joint. Highly recommend. Price slightly above average.
Good authentic tacos. My partner had the steak and cheese quesadilla, which was awesome! The atmosphere was a little divey, which reminded me of the taco places where I grew up in Chicago. It made me nostalgic.
Nice little “hole in the wall” Mexican spot. Came here for lunch Sunday before heading out to the beach. Great choice! Came with friends who’ve been going since they were little. They got the super burrito and I got two chicken tacos. Serving was perfect. Their burrito was the right size for two people, which they split. My taco was good, but could’ve had more sauce in it. Flavor was good, but overall taste was a bit dry. Fixed this by adding a few drops of the salsa into it. Salsa was extremely fresh.
Good food, good prices, quick service. What’s not to like? Good veggie burrito, tasty salsa, and I’m glad I found a good Main Street spot!
Had the “Richie” breakfast burrito (substituted the egg whites for red beans). It had chicken, rice, squash, broccoli, bell peppers, red beans and they use a red mole, It doesn’t taste like mole to me, but it’s delicious.

Their super deluxe burrito is a great size to share between two people. However, this is not a place I would really go back to. I feel like the flavor is lacking. The meat was just okay, same with the other fillings and their salsa.
I enjoy coming here, the food is delicious 😋 all the staff is wonderful except the new cashier, I think he is Latino around 35 tall, he seems a little frustrated... With kind of attitude lol I think he is not very happy. I miss the old cashier the American white guy, he was much more pleasant!!!

First off, this has been my spot for years and the food is great. My rating is for the guy taking the orders. He’s bumming the place out. Off-putting and unfriendly, passive aggressive and just not the right fit. I’m sorry. Perhaps a happier and more fulfilling job awaits you somewhere else. HG, bring back the feel good energy that this place has always had offered. Thank you for reading
Holy Guacamole is located on Main Street and Ashland Avenue in Santa Monica. The parking situation is something else typical for Santa Monica. There’s hardly any street parking, and if you want to park in the lot, it’s a paid parking lot that costs $1.25 per hour. And the fun part? You get to take in the local “views,” like homeless individuals lying on the street passed out. There’s also a Starbucks across the street and an e-bike store right next door, so there’s plenty to check out while you wait for your food from Holy Guacamole. They have a big menu with plenty of options, and they’re best known for their breakfast burrito. I didn’t personally get the breakfast burrito big mistake. I went with the carne asada burrito (no tomatoes), and I definitely should’ve gone with their specialty instead. The carne asada burrito barely had any meat, and it didn’t come with cheese, sour cream, guac, or anything to tie it all together. It had carne asada, rice, some purplish beans, cilantro, and usually tomatoes, but overall it just lacked flavor. Honestly, I wouldn’t get that burrito again if I ever came back here. The place itself is small, with a few tables inside and a few more outside along the street. It’s not the cleanest spot I’ve ever seen, but they make do with what they have. The food was pretty mediocre nothing special and the service was just average. The person who took my order didn’t seem too thrilled to be there either. The overall vibe is what you’d expect from a small spot near the beach in Santa Monica. Would I come here again? Probably not. Would I recommend trying it once? Sure, it doesn’t hurt to give it a shot. Still, if you’re looking for something with real flavor, I’d suggest going somewhere else.

This was not good... and I tipped well. 3 people were in there including me. Bummer

Has gone downhill greatly, cashier greets us with a scowl Cook looks like a thug and the previous time we were there we paid with $100 bill and they shorted us $20 once confronted he happily gave me back the 20 in general it was okay before but I just can't stand the attitude of the workers, except for a nice lady who works there and I don't know her name
