Had valentines dinner here. Best Service at any restaurant I have ever been to and I’ve worked in restaurants for the last 5 years. The staff was always on top of it, the garlic knot was incredible as advertised, all food was incredible, and they had a chocolate olive oil cake that was the best cake I have ever had. Truly incredible experience. 100% will be returning next time we’re in Santa Monica.
This is my go-to spot with my cousin and some girlfriends. We usually get the mushroom pizza and the garlic bread knot. The drinks are always great (we alternate between their cocktails and the wines). We especially love the outdoor patio area—the ambiance is nice and relaxed. It's a spot that we will definitely come back to again and again.
Had a lovely evening here. Staff was super sweet and attentive. The garlic knot was unlike anything I’ve ever tried and I will be thinking about it for a very long time. Would highly recommend the lemon pasta and apple dessert. The housemade sodas were also a unique option in lieu of a cocktail/mocktail. Looking forward to returning and major compliments to the chef de cuisine!
We were treated here by one of my rich friends and honestly, that’s probably the only scenario where a place like this makes sense for treating the whole family out. My family has a very high bar for food. People say I’m picky, and I’m like, “Please… meet my mother.” Service-wise, this place is flawless. The staff is charming, attentive, and somehow manages to make you feel both fancy and comfortable at the same time. Since it’s family style, we shared practically everything and with a party of seven, those plates add up fast. By the time the table was full, the bill was basically giving luxury vacation energy. Out of everything we tried, the Radiatori Braised Beef Ragu was the clear standout. Rich, comforting, and the kind of pasta that shuts everyone up at the table for a minute. The Garlic Knot bread was good, though we weren’t big on the pieces with the garlic ends. After some research (and by research, I mean a heated family debate followed by frantic Googling), we realized that’s a pretty common thing in restaurants — just not our personal preference. Oh and the drinks were on point :) Overall, a lovely, polished meal… definitely best enjoyed when someone else is picking up the tab.
Cozy, delicious, and definitely worth a visit! I can’t speak to the drinks, but the food was outstanding. Highly recommend starting with the warm M + O bread and the Rigatoni Bolognese for your main dish. Both were delicious. Tried the polenta fries, which were "just okay", but the desserts truly stole the show. The chocolate chip cookies are addictive in the best way, and the gianduja budino (chocolate pudding) was rich, silky smooth. One tip: parking in the area can be a bit tricky, so plan a little extra time or consider Ubering. Overall, a great experience and a spot I’d happily return to for something casual!
I have been searching for a classic cinnamon roll in Santa Monica for so long- and I can finally say this is it! I think it’s only served on their brunch menu on the weekends, but the skillet cinnamon roll is everything a classic cinnamon roll should be- fluffy, heavy cinnamon, and a classic cream cheese icing- perfection! Only complaint is it’s a little pricey, but what isn’t on the westside 😅
Milo & Olive has become one of our favorite go-to spots in Santa Monica for simple, delicious Italian food. The menu is straightforward but consistently tasty, and the quality keeps us coming back. Our must-haves every single visit are the chopped salad and the baked garlic knot—both are absolute standouts and set the tone for the meal. The mushroom pizza is hands-down our favorite and usually our order, but on our most recent trip we decided to branch out and try the vegetable pizza. It was still good, though we felt it could have used just a touch more flavor compared to the mushroom. The pastas are always solid as well—fresh, comforting, and flavorful. The service here is consistently good, and the staff make the experience feel easy and welcoming. The space itself has a nice, relaxed vibe, perfect for casual dinners with friends or family. You can’t go wrong coming here any day of the week. Prices are on the higher side, but not crazy. Overall, Milo & Olive never disappoints. Even with a few minor preferences, it’s a place we’ll keep coming back to time and again. Highly recommend!
While walking around Santa Monica, I came across a charming little restaurant and decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere was casual yet inviting, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Since there were just two of us, we chose seats at the counter, where we could watch the chefs preparing the dishes right in front of us. It was enjoyable to see everything made fresh, from the dough being stretched to the toppings being carefully placed and the pizzas going straight into the oven. There were also plenty of table seats available, and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded, so it felt relaxed and comfortable. I would describe it as the kind of place you can easily drop by without feeling too formal. The menu had more variety than I expected, with a nice selection of wines to pair with pizza, along with coffee, tea, juices, and even mocktails, which made it stand out compared to many casual restaurants. One of my favorites was the prosciutto and melon plate the balance of sweetness and saltiness was excellent and left a lasting impression. For the main dish, we ordered a pizza topped with tomato, burrata, prosciutto, and arugula. The crust was freshly baked, the flavors were well-balanced, and the portion was generous. Although we went for lunch, I would love to return for dinner to try more of their dishes. The staff gave us thoughtful recommendations and made the experience even more pleasant. While there wasn’t an outdoor terrace, the space still felt welcoming for both adults and families. Overall, I truly enjoyed both the food and drinks, and I would happily visit again in the future.
Great spot for breakfast! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, the coffee and pastries are especially good. Even when it was busy, Marcus provided excellent service and kept things running smoothly. Second visit(August 2025): Came back around 11am and it was much less crowded, so I was able to grab a table without a wait. Once again, the food, pastries and service (victor was our server and was great) were excellent. My cappucino was delicious, lots of flavor. Prices are on the higher side for breakfast and on top got a $73 parking ticket (didn't see they do street sweeping 10am to Noon on Mondays so be aware), but besides the parking ticket overall definitely worth it as an occasional splurge.
Really good food, we had burata salad with basil, tomato and peach very refreshing! For main course we shared pizza with for type of mushrums with some lemon dressing and cheese - great vegeterian option and we shared also Milanese chicken with arugula and cheese! You can check the potis as well, dish looks very good and taste excelent!
We tried a few dishes, the squash pizza, one of the salads, and the garlic bread. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The squash pizza had a great balance of textures and a nice depth of flavour. The salad was crisp and well-dressed, a perfect complement to the heavier dishes. The garlic bread, while delicious and incredibly fragrant, was very rich — practically swimming in olive oil and garlic. It was fresh and satisfying, but definitely on the heavier side. We also had a few cocktails, which were thoughtfully crafted and very tasty. Prices were on the higher end, but the quality of the food and drinks mostly justified it. The restaurant is relatively small with limited seating, and we didn’t notice any outdoor dining area. Parking is street-only and can vary depending on the time of day, so be prepared for metered spots or a bit of a walk.
I adore Milo & Olive. The staff are always attentive and professional. And the kitchen delivers high quality with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is intimate and easy. There’s a little cafe attached to the restaurant where you can get pastries and coffee. A great place to gather for any settings.
Was so very happy with the food at Milo & Olive! Pastries were fresh, delicious, bursting with flavor. Got the savory farmers makert veggie croissant and sweet cream brioche. The pepperoni & mushroom pizza was good. Liked the crust, but the pizza options are pretty basic and uninspiring. The real star was the Milo Spicy Italian sandwich! Great combo of quality meats and pickled veggies, very balanced flavor, probably the best sandwich I've had in Santa Monica! Excited to go back and try more of their food! They have generous hours. Opens at 7am for pastries, coffee, bread. Breakfast dishes 8-11am. Lunch and dinner is the same menu 11am-close.

good pizza, can be a bit busy for evenings or brunch, but overall good service, nice atmosphere and all. not quiet dog friendly but overall a good late night pizza takeout.\n\npasta is good too
The food there is excellent and to add to your specific knowledge the garlic knot is not to be forgotten. The staff are very good and atmosphere

4 stars because a cocktail for $19 is absurd, but it was so tasty that I was okay with it. The pizza is quite saucy, which I like, but just a heads up if that’s not your vibe. We were sat at the bar and had an incredible view of the kitchen, it was cool seeing everyone work separately but still be so cohesive. I’d reccomend this spot for a first date because it’s like dinner and a show in case conversation doesn’t flow easy.
Lovely spot. Found parking easily. Walked in without reservation, luckily found a spot with just a little wait. Intimate place, good for special occasions. Few veg options. Quantity of pasta is small for the price. Dessert was interesting! Love the open kitchen concept.

Got the Margherita pizza\nSoggy. Tasteless. It was mostly dough and what tasted like store bought tomato sauce\nSome of the crust was burnt \nOver-priced @$23
It was good. What you expect for a Santa Monica pizza place next to erewhon. But! The garlic knot is delectable and the wine is good. Pizza is decent and hits the spot but nothing special and the price is classic Santa Monica area.
Came here since this restaurant still had a reservation available on Saturday night on relatively short notice. Food is completely fine. Not bad, not great. For my taste the pizza, which had a great dough, had way too much tomato sauce. The garlic knot was very hard and had full cloves of garlic inside, which looks nice on instagram but doesn’t necessarily contribute positively to the taste. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was completely fine (typical American Italian interpretation), the chicken parm was also ok. Tiramisu and cocktails were probably the best items on the menu.
Intimate dining in Brentwood. The food is very overpriced with limited options. I was craving pizza, but unfortunately when I went, there weren't many options that had a lot of meat. The pasta I or…

The food was not as good as the pictures or their looks. We had the bread which was good. But then came the salad and the pizza. The salad had very little sauce, and its small portion made it good as a small side. At that price, you’d expect something better. The taste was also not unique. Like any salad you can easily make at home. The pizza was also saggy and leathery. It also was a little bit too oily for my taste. The atmosphere is really great. The service was also good. We had to wait for ~15 minutes until they can set up a table, even though we had a reservation for that exact time (there were several empty tables so I don’t know why it took so long). We had to stay standing throughout the wait which wasn’t the best.
