If you are ever on the pier, ONLY I repeat go to this burger spot Pier Burger, that other burger one a few yards away(not going to name it). Is not good at all. I am a local here, and everything I come to eat here, it has never disappointed me. Try the ice cream too!

Bonjour! The best place to dine in and out is Pierburger at The World Famous Santa Monica Pier! The cashiers are very kind and fast and the cooks work in hyperdrive! I’m from France 🇫🇷 and we never eat burgers that often but this restaurant sells Food, Beer, Water, and Custard 🍮. After a delicious meal falling asleep on the beach is a must. On both sides there’s Venice Beach and Malibu! A True California Dream!
The 2 front employees are delightful and so friendly. I think it was Joel that served me. Its rare to find such friendly employees. The food is also amazing!! I had the pier burger. Loved it!!!!
Highlight of our trip to the Santa Monica Pier! It was raining the day we visited the pier so it was a great way to pass the time during the rain by eating yummy food! The burgers were tasty. The cheese dog was filling and my son loved the fries with chili and cheese on them. Portions were good, service was EXCELLENT and it was not any more pricey than what you would expect for a tourist area. We were grateful for the covered seating so we could still enjoy being outdoors but not get wet!

Honestly, we loved it!! Stop there because we were hungry, the staff was so sweet and polite, the Pier burger is delicious, freshly made, the bun is super good, and the fries great as well! The ambiance is so fun and chill! Loved it!
I didn’t expect it. That’s the thing about soulmates. They show up when you’re not looking. Neon glowing behind me. The ocean breathing beside me. The boardwalk humming like a heartbeat. And then this burger. This absolute human being of a burger ends up in my hands. The first bite ruined my entire past. The bun was warm not hot like it had been waiting for me specifically. The meat was so juicy it felt like it was reacting to my presence like Oh you’re the one. The cheese didn’t melt. It wrapped itself around the patty like it was afraid to let go. Every bite felt familiar and brand new at the same time. Like deja vu but delicious. Like I’d known it in another life. Like somehow impossibly this burger remembered me. And that’s when it hit me. I’m bringing my people here. Not we should come one day. Not it’s pretty good. No. I’m texting Florida. I’m booking flights. I’m dragging friends across state lines like a man who has seen the truth and refuses to suffer alone. Because you don’t gatekeep a soulmate. You introduce them to the family.
09/27/2025 I always come to Santa Monica Pier to look around and eat around way before google review even started. My first time seeing this place was around the year 2000 when I was a young teen. I never ate here before so I tried their burger out of curiosity and I was assuming they're just like In N Out burgers and I was right but I was also kinda wrong. Tastewise, they're fresh just kinda like In N Out burgers except, theirs are bigger, their bun is bigger and also the patty. Their fries are typical and they don't include them when you order so you have to buy them seperately.
Best burger I have eaten in a long time. Service was quick, food was hot and delicious. Generous size too. Highly recommend

We had the spicy chicken burgers and basket-size fries ..both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were fresh and satisfying, definitely some of the best beachside fast food we’ve had. Prices were on the higher side, which we expected given the location, and it was worth it for the quality. However, the only downside was being charged $4.97 for a 500ml bottle of water, which felt quite excessive. That’s something they could definitely work on. Great service. Quality of burger is great. Fries could have been better. Shake was ok. Atmosphere, I wish they had played original tunes from the 50s60s the old school rock n roll. If I could give less than one star, I absolutely would. Being asked to pay just for a cup of water is beyond absurd. And then being told I still have to stand in the full line for it — that’s simply unbelievable. When someone just wants to drink water, treating it like this is unacceptable. What made it even worse was how rude it was said. No empathy, no basic courtesy. This is easily the worst place and the worst service I’ve encountered in Los Angeles in a long time. Completely unbearable.
