First time today, and the food was delicious. The portion and the price were very good, and I will come back to this Fritanga. Next time I visit Miami .
Best carne asada in town. Beats Pinolandia. In fact, it's how Pinolandia was (was) when it started. It can't get more Nicaraguan than this. It's like stepping into a fritanga in Managua. Good portions, great seasoning, decent pricing, and great service. Beats my craving for meats.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Every bite was delicious. You can taste that the food is homemade and cooked with skill. Can’t wait to go back.
Great food, the service was ok and the atmosphere was also ok.
Awesome food. Always go for 1 thing and take like 4
The food is always incredible, every time I go to Miami I go out of my way to get some Caña Brava. I always end up getting an extra plate since I live 2 hours away I gotta have a 2nd plate for the next day since it's not everyday I get to go. The price is a little high I spend 52$ plus tip today on two plates and 2 large drinks.
Great food!!!! a must try. Line is a little long most of the time but it moves quickly. Food is always fresh and they have a wide variety. I cannot recommend enough i always make time to come here when in town.
Amazing food and a popular spot for authentic Fritanga food, service is a bit hectic but organized and atmosphere is quick and to the point. Def should come here to eat! The price is worth it!
I love coming here when I come to Miami. The food is good and made fresh and it’s ready to be served. There can be longs to order your food but it goes by quickly. The parking can be hectic at times, and if you park in the street, the parking is monitored by parking authority. This Place doesn’t have a menu but if you know what you like it won’t be hard to order.
Wow, I had such a fantastic time at this Nicaraguan restaurant! The atmosphere was so cozy and inviting, I felt like I was dining in someone's home 😊 The staff were all super friendly and made sure we had a great time. And the food, oh my goodness, the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was so fresh and flavorful, it was clear that a lot of care and attention went into preparing each dish 😍 I particularly loved the traditional decor, it really added to the experience. I can't recommend this place enough, if you haven't been yet, you definitely have to check it out! 😊🍴
Delicious, packed but the line moves quickly, or you should order on their website.
I like the food, when i was a child i eat that and tasted very good
As far as Fritangas go, it is top tier. Their fried cheese is great also. It does get super full with very little parking. Even ordering ahead means making a bit of a line (due to its popularity). If you choose to order there expect a good wait in line.
Hands down one of the best Nicaraguan food, carne asada is fire. I recommend this place, we just do takeout all the time, place is small and difficult to find an empty parking space.
This was my second time trying Nicaraguan food. Customers raved about how good everything was and even helped us order food (We don’t speak Spanish). My husband and I loved the food. I wish there was a location in Houston. We’d go there at least once a week
This was delicious! I'll definitely make the time to stop in again next time I'm in this area. The bread I took home is honestly one of the best I've tasted. The staff behind the counter knows how to get you through without haste. Absolutely worth the money and time! 3 grown adults ate and still had leftovers for around $50.
Food is amazing. Prices are high but the taste of the food is good. Big lines to get the food and staff is a little rude.
Delicious and cheap Latin food. I used to come here when I was little, years ago. Came back today and the quality hasn’t changed! Still tastes like if I just ate at my grandma’s. A whole main plate is 8.50 (your choice of rice, protein, and side (sweet plantains, potatoes, etc). You can also grab a large piece of fried cheese for 1.50. The natural juices are medium (3.50) and large (4.50). Grab the medium, it’s pretty large! I had carne assada, arroz moro, sweet plantains, fried cheese, and tamarind juice. All for 13.50. Will continue to come back! ...oh, parking is at the Sedano’s Supermarket lot, and it’s free.
I don’t know anything about Nicaraguan food but my friends like it and I do love me restaurants in the “one dollar” range on google maps This place has a tiny parking area (more like a big alley) in between the restaurant and the neighboring gas station. I put the car somewhere and hoped for the best It’s a cafeteria style set up. It was packed before, during, and after I left. You wait in line for about 30 minutes or so while you do your best to be friendly enough to get by but not friendly enough to make friends. Not sure if the workers speak English. But if you’re coming here, you probably speak Spanish anyways. No idea what I ordered but it was cheap and I’m really really full. Gonna take a nap
My first time having Nicaraguan food and it was glorious!!! I ended up having the same thing from another restaurant, and it was not as good as this one. This one will be my go to!!
They were super helpful in selecting what to eat even though we didn't speak Spanish, and it felt like real local cuisine
Delicious! Staff and kind and pleasant! Their food was delicious and very happy we came. We'll be making the drive more often.
Very good fritanga, I love this food and will come back any time I crave fritanga!
Caña Brava is by far my favorite fritanga in Miami and I don’t think I’m the only one that thinks that, as it’s always full but welcoming. The attention you get from the staff here is always great. They’re patient with you no matter how big your order is. I always get an order of enchilada, manuelita and carne asada. The enchilada they make here has been my favorite enchilada I’ve tried. It consist of rice and meat and it’s very filling. The manuelita is like a sweet pancake with brown sugar. It is very delicious. I usually save this for breakfast for the following day. The carne asada meal is big and tasty. You can easily eat this meal for two days or share it with someone. I order the carne asada with gallopinto, maduro, queso frito and salad. The meat is very juicy, the gallopinto is very tasty, and the maduro with queso frito is a perfect pair. The coleslaw salad is also very good. Whenever someone tells me they want to have fritanga, I always suggest this place or bring them here. This will continue to be my go to fritanga.
Wow wow woooow! 10/10 best steak I’ve had in Miami hands down. Incredible food, fast service, clean and authentic! God bless this business and the people of Nicaragua for creating and sharing their beautiful culture and culinary arts with Miami 💓
Very limited parking, but you can park on the street near the location. Food was good. Gallo pinto, platains, salad, beef, pork, cheese was amazing. Full of flavor. Unique and tasty. Course is good enough. If you are not a person with a big apetite, you can eat it with another one. Staff was nice. Excellent service. I liked it very much the fact that we were the last ones to buy food and eat it there, and they did not kick us out, they allowed us finishing our meal. That's something you don't see everywhere. Comfortable environment to visit with family and/or friends. Cash or debit/credit card.
If perfect had a meaning. This place, hands down is such a vibe. With the ppl working there, customers and food freshly made. So many memories for myself, coming here and it’s still a very special place in heart. It’s literally the heart of Nicaragua away from home. They always hook it up with the plates, they show you what you’re getting and always feel like who ever is serving that it’s a take away plate from home. Made with love. If you’re ever in Miami, it’s a must stop to get.
The best fritanga I've had hands down. Parking is tough, line is long but goes fast. The food is very fresh. I live 1 hour away in broward and wouldn't have no issue coming back. Great establishment here.
Amazing food !!! It gets packed but so does your plate. Thank you Caña Brava!!
This place has the best Nicaraguan food in Miami! you have to try it! The staff is so funny that they will make you try everything available. There is no Menu, so you have to ask and try the things. The black beans and the rice balls are amazing. Also their salad is something from another world. The food is delicious and the variety is the best you can find. Is a really home made food, made with love and sold with the heart. You definitely have to try.
This place was fantastic. All of the food is served counter style. So you just walk up, it's already cooked, just point at what you want. We tried 3 different meals. The portions are huge, but also inexpensive. Service was fast. Everything tasted really good.
Fast and energetic atmosphere. Tasty food.

You can not beat this place! I discovered Cana Brava a few weeks ago and keep coming back. You can take the food to go or sit at a table inside. All of your senses will enjoy this spot. The location is usually busy, but its a good thing. Congratulations to the owners and all the staff.
Delicious food, order to the process, love being able to sit if I want or take out. Parking is easy. Love their roast pork and their carne asada. Way better than Pinolandia.

Very good food very good taste, price in comparison with similar restaurants are very good
I ordered catering and the food was great. The steak was very tender. They had fried cheese and it was great. I would recommend this restaurant.
Pretty bussin steak with rice that I got from here. Grilled excellently and the white rice still packed a lot of flavor.
Best fritanga in town. Great portions, great prices meat is tender, fresh and cooked perfectly.
Fabulous food!! I highly recommend ordering online, especially if you don't speak Spanish (as I don't!) It's a very popular place and the place was packed, but I think I was the only gringo there. …

First time eating Nicaraguan food. It was different, but good. However, the person taking our order looked annoyed by us asking questions about the different types of food.
The carne asada was hard. I even commented to the server and gave me an attitude and they claimed to be better than Pinolandia. Not my best place to eat Nicaraguan food. Way too pricey for the quality of the meat.
food was pretty good, and plentiful. the gallo pinto was tasty, carne asada was good , and maduros were not dry and the perfect sweetness. the rice pudding they have wasn’t my favorite however.
Crazy big portions. Honest hard working staff. Crazy good value. Tasty Latin American Food. Beans and rice, choice of meat, choice of side eg plantains, banana chips or yucca. $8usd Couldn’t finish it. Ribs were juicy tasty. My chicken was dry and inedible. But still loved this place. Tipped them well. Great service! Unlike some places which charge mandatory 20% tip.
This place was waaaay overhyped. I was disappointed. It's an average fritanga with average food. The ones by my home are significantly better in terms of taste. This restaurant does offer you more bang for your buck, no doubt. The meat is thicker, yet still soft. The gallopinto was alright, a little crispy and not soft. The maduros was straight trash. If you're going to buy their natural juices, don't buy the maracuya like I was hyped into getting. It's just regular ol passionfruit juice, nothing crazy. I bought 4 ice cream baggies, 2 carne asadas, an order of buñeulos (3), a large cup of natural maracuya juice, a slice of bread pudding and had cheese added to both foods. I spent $30, which is a hell of a good buy. The fritanga by my place is not as large as this one and more expensive. Overall, the service was fine, took a while to get attended but that was because there were so many customers, not because the employees were slacking off. The food was whatever in terms of taste but didn't lack quality and was cheap for the amount they gave. In fact, one of their cheese slices is actually twice the size of what I get at the places near me. You should go for cheap eats, not because their food tastes amazing. Although, all of the chosen desserts were tasty 👍
Great Nicaraguan restaurant very good food and very fast. You can find yourself with a line but the place has plenty of employees. It's a very fast pace placed and crowded many people eat to take out but you can also eat there comfortably. It has good bathrooms. It's kinda buffet style. But people serve you. it's not the prettiest place but not bad. I enjoyed coming here.
I love the food. It tastes really good and it’s always fresh., One thing is the food yesterday was a little bit saltier than usual. Please careful with how much salt. I hate to have happen too much
The food was very good, good price, always packed witch tell you they have good food
First of all, we were surprised to see how many people were in line to order and more people just kept coming in and the parking was crazy, but setting all of that aside, service was good, food price is affordable and the most important thing the food was really good. We ordered teo plates of Carne Asada, one with just beans and another one with gallo pinto, we also ordered a piece of pork, a slice of fried cheese 🧀 and orange 🍊 with carrots 🥕 juice.
More expensive to order online than to order on person. I called about six times to make the order ahead but they never picked up the phone. It was full to the brim once i got there, so i guess that was a good thing. Love the carne asada, the nacatamal, manuelitas and frito. Try the cacao and melon con naranja.
4.5 Local Nicaraguan food spot (didn't seem like any workers spoke English so find someone who does to tell you about all the different foods). Food was good, made fresh. Place was extremely busy and a little unorganized. Hole-in-the-wall..cool experience. Fried Yucca balls and plantainz were yum, grolled pork was great too..

Really good carne asada but the line takes an hour even with full staff moving fast. Will definitely order online next time. Ok cacao but great food. Would recommend if in the area
The ladies that help you with the food ALWAYS are so rude!!! They should be trained to be patience, kind and nice!! I would never come back just because of that! Are Nicaraguan womens are like that? Food was great! Atmosphere was ok.
The food wasn’t overall bad, but the Tamales Pisques were HORRIBLE. They felt like they were simply cooked dough, no flavor whatsoever. The customer service was okay at best, and the restaurant itself felt sort of comfortable to be in. It wasn’t too clean or dirty. Just PLEASE fix the Tamales. I don’t want anyone to have to taste such garbage.
I love the Nicaraguan food but one of the customer personnel has no manners and was very rude the entire time I was there. They embarrassed a coworker for making a mistake, and they even discounted from her salary the item mistakenly given. Is an embarrassment how they treat the coworkers in front of the customer. Never visiting the place again.
Nicaraguan restaurant in a great area, but along a busy street. Parking is such a hassle and shared with a gas station. Off-street parking is monitored by parking authority. Prices vary by personnel and time of day. There's no prices posted, and you can come in different hours of the day and order the same plate and be charged different prices. It doesn't make any sense. A few tables inside the business and counter seating are available also.
I used to consider this place one of my go-to spots for taking family or visitors in Miami. Unfortunately, it’s changed a lot — and not for the better. Prices have gone up significantly, now comparable to a sit-down restaurant where you actually receive full service. The natural juices, which used to be a highlight, are now overly sweet to the point that when I took my dad, he asked for water instead. Sadly, I can no longer recommend it.
The food here is truly outstanding—consistently flavorful and worth the visit. However, the popularity does mean that wait times can be quite long, often around an hour in line, followed by a separate queue for drinks. It’s best to double-check your order before finalizing, as corrections require rejoining the line. With some streamlining of the ordering process, this place could elevate the overall experience to match the exceptional quality of its food.
I ordered take out on door dash from this place. It was decent, I would definitely try it again to see what else they have. The fried cheese was good. The portion size was also pretty large.
Food had potential but it was not hot. It was plentiful, but all the food was either lukewarm or cold. If I was taking it home to be reheated, then fine, but it was to eat in the restaurant. Carne asada and the cerdo asado had plenty of flavor but cold. Plenty of options, big portions, prices were decent but food was cold.
Came to check Fritanga after seeing other people hyping it up. Really busy and long line so be prepared to wait even at off time. Food was okay but nothing I would wait and seek out. Pork was the best meat I tried. Workers were nice despite being slammed
I used to love caña brava but I’ve noticed they are starting to cut corners. This carne asada meal cost me $20 before uber eats fees. Food tastes great however their meat is laughable, what used to be a good sized 2 pieces of meat, has become this little thin meat. The last 2 times I’ve ordered I’ve had this experience. Really disappointed and will start seeking alternate fritangas like pinolandia. I’m Nicaraguan myself so i know what the standards should be and unfortunately social media has caused this in my opinion.

I was very disappointed with my visit. I found a strand of hair in my food, which was off-putting and unacceptable. The taste of the food was also below average, leaving me unimpressed. The place was overly crowded, and the atmosphere felt uncomfortable and chaotic. Overall, it was not a good experience, and I won’t be coming back.
Compre nacatamales los pedi con chiles y me dieron sin chile y lo peor no estaban envieltos en honas de platano estaban en papel de alumino cuando sabes que eso es toxico y cancerigeno bought nacatamales, I asked for them with chilies and they gave me them without chilies and the worst thing is that they weren't wrapped in banana leaves, they were in aluminum foil when you know that is toxic and carcinogenic.
No quality. Service too long and service fee to expensive
I’m from broward I love coming to this place my whole entire family comes here. Usually they’re on point but today was not the case. I order three meals to go and since they were rushing so bad they gave me one meal without my carne asada when I call to see if they can at lease reimburse me for the meat that they charged me they told me no, they said to give them my name and when I come back down they will give me the carne asada. I was upset because I rarely drive to Miami, and the kicker is that just because I live in broward it’s not their responsibility to reimburse me the money. It’s not even the girls fault it’s management
A Disaster They charge whatever they want no list price You stay there forever the size is very smal I order to carne asada and one puerco only with queso y salad and 😳👎👎👎👎👎👎38 and give 5 tip they really don’t deserve Use to go here when was 10.00 and good porción but is over

The food is good but terrible service. Servers there are like in the air.
2026 update: i gave it 2 stars.. what why did i get paper thin carne ??? Taste good but not worth it & I found a blondish hair in my gallo pinto.. I gave a review 7 yrs ago 2019:I like certain things from here.. and I also like certain things for pino lol so ama just give it a 5 star.
I decided to go and order a Nacatamal from this establishment. I would like to let you guys know that I am nicaragüense and I know what a Nacatamal tastes and smells like. I opened the Nacatamal and I started eating without any issues. I got to the side of the foil and there was a weird smell and taste to that side of the foil, it smelled bitter and rotten. I took a picture of the area and I am posting it here because one thing I don’t mess around with is food. People can get sick and can end up in the hospital from a lot of food borne illnesses. I will never step foot in this establishment. This was disgusting. Please inspect your food. This is serious.
I found a metal wire in the carne asada. got stuck between my teeth, may require surgery if swallowed. Please do not use a metal brush to clean the grill.
It was my 1st time in this restaurant being Nicaragüense nationality, and the fact my FAMILY owned Fritangas for 20+ years. The service was HORRIBLE, I was on break and in a rush. I had to wait for almost 30 minutes to be taken care of. It was like , I was invincible. I had to raise and get out of character. I was Famished and the food looked 😋 👌 😩. I felt judged because I know how these Boogie people are Fresas. I'll cook my own lunch from now on. I know the recipes. I found a metal wire in the carne asada. got stuck between my teeth, may require surgery if swallowed. Please do not use a metal brush to clean the grill.
This is the most disgusting food I've ever had. I came here for lunch, got gallo pinto with pollo asado and a tortilla.. The lady made my plate and then microwaved it in front of me... why is the food on the hot plate cold? She gave me a a chicken breast the size of my head, it tasted old, burnt, and full of hormones. Disgusting. The tortilla was from the supermarket, tasted like cardboard, the spicy sauce was like some disgusting American hot sauce with onions. And the salad was discolored and old. $12 for microwaved garbage. Do not go here unless you're desperate. The lady was very rude, I can't believe the 4 stars on here. Garbage.
