We ordered catering and it was organized and very well priced. An assortment of meat in parillada grande with typical Sides. 10 people ate and we had leftovers for two days.
I had been visiting him for a long time. A fantastic Salvadoran place with a super attention since you arrive and the waiter who served us, Bryan, very professional and attentive in his work. What we ordered was excellent, good flavor and very well made, the Mojito, spectacular, one of the best and the place very nice and cozy inside, I was really surprised. I give it a 10!!!
The best! You know it’s good when you see the local people eating here. Im Salvadoran And i was feeling home sick and needed a pupusa in my life. My server Lorena was wonderful!
Atlacatl Restaurant is a delightful dining experience with a beautiful ambiance and exceptional customer service. The highlight is the seafood paella—bursting with fresh flavors and generous portions, it’s a must-try! While it’s a bit pricier, the quality of the food and service makes it well worth it. Highly recommended for a memorable meal!
Fantastic place for Salvadoran food. Had the chicharrón and queso pupusa ➕ the jalapeño queso pupusa which is just like mom used to make. Also had the sopa 🥣 de 🦐 camarones y cangrejo 🦀 which was perfecto 👌. Great place for dinner on a weekend. Also had salvadoran quesadillas (pastry) that was awesome.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The staff is very polite and extremely friendly. Their food is delicious and amazing, with great portions. Wonderfully prepared. The prices are affordable. The hours of operation are great. I can come meet my friends after work, since they're open til midnight. Nice music playing in the background. The have a nice bar, and a menu with many options to choose from.
Being from Tennessee, we truly enjoyed the El Salvador based meals. Some of the menu options were similar to Mexican restaurants we've eaten at in Tennessee, but the food was very fresh and authentically flavored. We got the large fresh lemonade - it was a great mix of tart and sweet, but a bit expensive at $11. The portion served were very generous, and we enjoyed the meal tremendously.
This place is SO GOOD. A taste of home for my family. We just ran across here while in town and will be back whenever we are in the area. Three different dishes on the table that all impressed. Super authentic. The people here are super nice and it's a really nice place to eat!!! Don't think about it, just go!
My go to spot on calle 8, the food is delicious! Better than those overhyped crowded tourist traps down the street. I Love the pupusas here! The service is always perfect , most importantly it’s nice and clean.
Very beautiful atmosphere ...food amazing 😍.... Love it
I love the atmosphere. Very chill vibe, and great hospitality. Great food choices, and good drinks as well. I personally enjoyed the beef soup. And their pupusas.

Delicious pupusas, just wish they had put more sauce, got 2 small cups for 3 pupusas and they were gone with one pupusa. Horchata was delicious.
This place is always great. The food is delicious, the service is kind, and the atmosphere is friendly. I highly recommend dining here for a typical Central American culinary experience. The carne asada is always seasoned and cooked as requested and to perfection, as is their rice.
Breakfast has become my favorite time at this restaurant. With every single meal, Alex (Lio) makes me and my family feel at home! He was extremely attentive to our table and got our food out in no time. If you’re ever coming to visit, ask for Alex and thank me later!
Well what can I say 'El Atlacatl' is one of the only restaurants in Miami that celebrates El Salvador culture and that at the same time gives you the care and attention you deserve. And the food is just exquisite and full of rich flavors that make your taste buds want even more, so yes you should definitely stop by to grab a bite.
I especially loved the service, the delicious food, and the peaceful atmosphere.
Great place to eat. Large variety the menu. The food is well prepared and the staff is great. They do get very busy at times and parking can be a challenge.
Came with the family. Actually haven’t been to this spot in over 5 years. They renovated and it looks amazing! The food was simply delicious. Our waitress Stephanie was very attentive and helpful and very welcoming. This is a great place to come with your family and have an amazing time! Can’t wait to come back again.
Daisy is always attentive and gets the orders on time. This place is very good as we are regulars here. We are always welcomed with a smile and the price is amazing. The plates are big and very tasty. Clean and organized. We will definitely be back!! 💯
I was here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Delicious food and the pupusas are the bomb.
Really nice service. We were a group of 26 that arrived near closing time. Their service was great and their food was amazing.
Ladies were nice and helpful with me figuring out what to eat. Food came out super quick. I visited during lunch time on a weekday. They also have a full stock bar! Was recommended to this restaurant by staff at a local bank 😀
I have been coming here for a long time but moved recently and hadn't come in a year. Hey have remodeled the place and it looks really nice. Food continues to be just as good. Pictured here are the huevos rancheros with meat and un tamal de elote. My kids always order the tamal even if it is to go.
I went here to be over eat. I wanted the soup The sabado soup was out but they did have the Salvador seafood soup which is pictured. It included shrimp, calamari, and prawns. The lobster and salmon entree was good (what I could eat). I like sweet plantains. I also like the sauce on the lobster. Anyway this was good
The food was delicious, i had the chance to try both steak and seafood. The churrasco was very tasty and the Chimichurri was very fresh in its taste. The seafood plate we ordered was not a let down in anyway, the fish was flakey and very tasty. The shrimp, calamari and crab had a fresh non frozen flavor as if everything was part of the days catch. I would highly recommend it and I will be coming back.
Great food and service, friendly staff, good prices
Started off 2022 at El Atlacatl with their delicious Hangover Helper Seafood Soup (or Salva Cruda Mariscada Salvadorena in Spanish) this seafood soup served in coconut milk is perfect for any time of the day. A platter which bring all kinds of yummy stuff like skirt steak, fried cheese, tortilla sausage, chicharron , fried yuca , tostones and beans. Along with the deep fried fish that you can never go wrong with. 🐟 😋 For more follow me on Instagram @letstraveleatrepeat 🤗
This restaurant is on our regular rotation. The food is great, service is on point and they may have the best whole fish in town. If you come on Saturdays, order the shrimp and crab soup. The space is super clean and was recently modernized and there are always beautiful flowers inside and outside. The owners and staff take great pride in the restaurant and we love coming here and introducing friends to the place. Always a great experience.
Very pricey but excellent flavor and our waitress was very pleasant
Got delicious pupusas to go! The person taking my order over the phone and at the to go window also very kind about my broken Spanish. There is a good sized parking lot you can pull into, and the dining area looked very spacious.
Great Hispanic place. Amazing soups for all. Huge portion and very fresh. My only regret NO pets allowed no matter they are service dogs. Watch out with the law, shouldn't be forbidden.
The food here is really good and even though it’s busy you don’t have wait that long for a table. The ladies are very attentive. The restaurant looks very clean and nicely decorated. I wish they would play some music though, I feel like every time I go it’s so quiet it’s like I’m at church. I really like coming here for breakfast. Their horchata is also delicious and so are their pupusas.
I visit this wonderful establishment atleast twice a week for Breakfast and Dinner. The meals and staff never disappoint i am happy to be a repeat client and do recommend for any visitors in Miami to stop in, the menu has enough variety for everyone! The best waitress in the restaurant is nicknamed “Matilda” she is the best! 10 Stars!
Great food, great service, food is cooked and served ina timely fashion, ambience is fantastic for families and business lunches, expanded parking, one of my favorites breakfast spots!
Nice place, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere. It has a menu and pricing of a mom and pops restaurant, but the interior is nice and remodeled, clean and bright. Corn tamales were fantastic, pupusas were good, we didn't care for fried green plantains too much.
Great attentive staff. We had various entrees and everything was delicious. The entrees are enough for two people unless you are a good eater.

Traveling to Miami and knowing that there is an Amazing restaurant that have everything that you looking for, good music, delicious food and amazing staff.
Delicious and affordable food! I had the Pupusa with chicken and cheese (fresh, good size and very tasty!) and the Horchata drink (this one particularly was refreshing, with a strong flavor but all in all, delicious!). We also ordered the Pupusa loca, which was huge but exquisite as well!.

I frequent this restaurant weekly and their food is always delicious. The service is really good and the atmosphere is cool as well. However today I came for a beef soup and ordered a large orange juice… I was surprised when I looked at the bill and the orange juice had a price of $12.50… this was for regular orange juice. I asked the employee and he nervously responded “that’s the price”. $12.50 for an orange juice is straight up robbery.
Well I order here Family pupusa was amazing really good flavor taste like el salvador, really good when I back to miami I go to have another one The curtido is OK nothing special i think this can be better The salvadorian quesadilla this one is really bad I took at home and put in the trash can really really bad. The orchata was amazing I recommend this one The attention was super special.
Very good place over all. Food is delicious. Beef soup is beyond imagination. Place is always clean and well maintained. Staff courteous. There is a nice outdoor sitting with plants around it. Table inside the place might too close but nice to make a warm ambience. If you are not bothered by people that close to you.

We ordered several items pupusas, sopa de marisco, carne asada and spaghetti with shrimp. The soup and rice were a bit salty. Be aware that they charge a 4% fee if you pay with a credit card.
The food here has always been good. The service from the employees has always been poor. Went again last Sunday, big mistake. It was full and the wait list was disorganized. We were told “no wait” and waited over 15 minutes. While waiting one of the hosts completely skipped over our name and called a group that had just arrived. They weren’t even paying attention to who arrived when. At the table, our server seemed to not even know the menu. She was quick to tell me I was wrong about my dish coming with two sides, even though I kept trying to read the menu to her. Do not go on a Sunday. It’s overly packed and servers lack customer service skills
Ordered carne asada with a maracuyá juice. Food was great, service was poor. Long wait just to have someone move me and my friend to a smaller table because apparently we were sitting at a larger party table. Then another long wait to have someone take our order. Then no one came to check on us until we were done eating. Atmosphere was great, place cute. Pricey. Gratuity is added (even though it was just myself and one other person) and they pass their credit card fees onto their customers. They even have a sign on the door suggesting to pay cash which I found tacky.
2.5⭐️ Nice atmosphere, and it looks clean. Service is kind but a bit confusing and forgetful sometimes. The majority of the rating here is food. It is not terrible but I was expecting more from a Salvadorian restaurant. We went with trandionals. There are much better pupusas in Miami and Broward. The meats were a turn-off as well as $3 for white crema for yuca. Meats, which were soaking in oil, felt like they were from a cheap Chinese buffet; the only thing that was good was the spicy sausage. The passionfruit juice is overpriced for what it is.

I had a bad experience at this place with the waitress. The waitress was in a hurry he didn’t let me finish ordering . I told him bring me the appetizer first and what I got was the main plates instead of. I ended up sharing the plate with my mother because her appetizer got there late He explain after I asked him that it was delay because of the amount of people that order the same thing. My server never came around to asked if we need it water or anything else . I don’t want the restaurant to give me free food because I’m complaining but I do want a good service. What a shame that they don’t put attention to their staff.
The place was excellent and my waiter was very polite. But I was expecting real Salvadorean taste. I had ceviche de camarón and it was with mayonnaise, sopa de cangrejo and camarones and it was too sweet with over cooked carrots, not much taste, my husband had salmon it was better than my choices. It was not bad it was just not Salvadorean. Los nuegados were too chewy they were good but that's not how I have tried in other places.

Today, May 4, 2025, I came to have breakfast at this restaurant that I love, but today the waitress who served me had a strong smell of perfume that, supposedly, waiters in all restaurants shouldn't wear because it's too strong. What one wants is to come and eat, not to buy perfumes; the experience was unpleasant.
The food is good but I feel like we got scammed. They waiter didn’t explain that the tip was already included and we left tip in cash. The tip is stated so small on the receipt so we missed, there’s also a surcharge on top of everything. Even though the food is good my family probably won’t be going back, there are other similar places with great food that are not scamming people. The AC also must have been broken too because it was super hot inside.
I thought all chain restaurants had same menu. I’m used to go to the one on 17 sw 4st, but it was pack and no parking. So we came to this one in Calle 8. No lunch specials available. No tortilla with soup or pollo a la plancha. Same portion as lunch specials. Hair on my mother soup. No chips and salsa as complementary appetizer, the other restaurant does that at least. Looks nice and all inside, but food and service no so much.

I’ve dined with my wife at this restaurant many times. During our most recent visit, I ordered the NY Strip medium-rare, but it arrived well-done. After sending it back, it came out rare; the third time, it was perfect. Our waitress, though pleasant, seemed displeased with the kitchen. Unfortunately, upon returning home, I went straight to the toilet, which was concerning. We will not be returning. The actions, or lack thereof, of certain staff members can jeopardize a restaurant’s reputation and lead to a loss of revenue.
No me gusto para nada! They don’t have prices on drinks a shake is $ 12.50 I know this is Miami, but they get away with things like this by not putting prices up and shady practices, shady place.
Horrible experience at this place. Had the seafood platter for 2 people. It was mediocre at best and severely over priced. Had no flavor whatsoever. The sides were for 1 person, which was deeply disappointing given the price of the dish was $165+. To top it all off, they charge a % fee/surcharge to use your credit card over the tax and tip, not on the subtotal of the food cost. Needless to say, I will never be going back and warn everyone here about the highway robbery.
this place was horrible… starting from the food to the service and the atmosphere !!! the place was dirty like if it hasn’t been cleaned and food wasn’t good very hard pupusas and dry like if they kept it in the counter for hours … i do not recommend
Delicious food. Great place to get seafood dishes. Cheese pupusa is amazing. The special breakfast with meat is perfect for brunch. Shortly after writing this review I had to wait for an hour for a breakfast to go. I was told 20-25 minutes initially. Nobody seemed to care. It was Mother’s Day brunch but still a ridiculous amount of wait time. Ended up leaving with no food and they returned my money. Not the outcome any customer wants but they did not care.
Food was decent, and the service was as well. However, they never mention that gratuity is already included. It’s hidden under a separate bill where this isn’t stated clearly. If you’re unaware, you could end up tipping 40% because they still prompt you to add an additional 20% tip. Extremely deceptive behavior. Shame on you—you know exactly what you’re doing. I will never be coming back.
We had a horrible experience at this place. We were referred by a coworker. But I will never go back. We lived in El Salvador for many years and know about their food “is delicious”. I ordered shrimp cocktail it didn’t taste good,no taste at all. We ordered pupusas were good but, but it didn’t came with the tomato sauce that is supposed to bring(you eat pupusas with curtido and salsa). I had to asked for the salsa(special tomato sauce) the lady didn’t know what I was asking ?! Sauce came it was just spaghetti sauce horrible;to my surprise they charged me extra for it. Is not about price is just she brought a horrible sauce plus charged. The waitress was nice and very attentive, she was new. We never complained because we didn’t want to give her a hard time on her first day. We just won’t go back to that place again.
they should really have someone answer the phones. they never answer the phone when you want to place an order for pick up. I’ve called on different occasions not the first time.
I have gone to this restaurant several times, they say they currently don’t have a dish and then start bringing the dish that is supposedly not available and hurriedly push the server away. They are racially discriminative, as everyone else is treated fairly and given dishes that are unavailable to us. ps. hijab is being worn in these situations.
We had the Seafood Soup (Sopa de Mariscos) Carne asada, and pupusas. The food here is good, unfortunately the service has gotten worse and ridiculous throughout the years. Most of the waitress feel entitled to high or double tips! Beware!!! Gratuity is included in the bill but is hidden in plain sight, then, they expect you to pay additional tip. Our waitress got mad because my father complained about the high tip amount, for a $60 bill, she wanted $20 tip!!! She called a male co worker to intimidate my elderly father with some B.S excuse about the tips. Horrible service, we will not be going back. Its not the foods fault, go at your own risk. I believe all these 5 star reviews are by friends and family of the owners and staff. Nobody in their right mind would be ok with the tip scam they got going on here!
