The moment you walk into Chicago Prime Italian, you’re greeted by the host with an amazing attitude that immediately makes you feel welcome. First impressions matter, and they absolutely nail it here. The entire restaurant is very clean and well kept, which sets the tone for a great dining experience right away. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife ordered the lobster and steak, and she absolutely loved it — cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I ordered the filet with asparagus, and honestly it was the best filet and asparagus I’ve had at any restaurant. Whatever source they’re getting their food from, they need to keep it up because the quality truly stands out. For appetizers, we had the crab cakes and calamari. One word: amazing. The freshness and flavor made it feel like we were eating in Italy. You could really taste the quality in every bite. Our waitress was professional, very attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu, which was impressive. You could tell she genuinely cared about her job and about her tables, which made the experience even better. One thing is for sure — we will be back, and we’re bringing more friends. Definitely recommending you guys!

We loved it! We were celebrating our 9 year anniversary and it was amazing! The fettuccine is my favorite! My fiance got the 24oz steak and it was cooked to Perfection and was so delicious! Appetizer we got sausage peppers and calamari. Both were really good. Our server Sam was awesome! He communicated with us, checked in and was fast service. We would definitely be going again!

We like to save Christmas Eve dinner for somewhere special. Chicago Prime was perfect. Such and "old school" steakhouse. The shrimp DeJohne is amazing. The filet was perfect. We ate at the bar and watched as people came and sat and waited for their tables. It was a fun evening. My three martinis were amazing. We can't wait to go back.

This restaurant is top tier!! Not just because the food was excellent, it's because the service was extraordinary as well!!! From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted!! The manager AJ introduced himself to me and remembered that I had called in earlier because we were running a little late for our reservation. My fiancée and I ordered the Cowboy ribeye and the lasagna with meat sauce. We also had the calamari and the wedge salad. Our food was cooked perfectly and our drinks and dessert were great too! Nevanna our server was very attentive to our needs and came to check on us often to make sure we were good!! She made good recommendations and made us feel so welcomed!! We were celebrating my fiancée's birthday and she loved the whole experience!! We'll definitely be back!!! Awesome job Chicago Prime Italian!! 5 stars!!!

First time here, my partner and I really loved the restaurant. We ordered a Moscow mule, Prime Old Fashioned, Goat Cheese Balls, New York Steak, and Penne Arrabbiata. The food and drinks were great. The steak had a good crust to it and the pasta had a spicy sauce with depth. The service was excellent. Our water glass was never empty! And they packed our leftovers themselves which is always a plus. The only negative is that I think the decor was a little dated, we were sitting with a room full of families with children (which can be annoying for a date night), and they had a slots machine area which I find to be tacky. Especially for a place that’s supposed to be high end. But overall, my partner and I really loved the food and service! Would definitely come back.

The ambiance was so lovely. We sat outside, and it was simply beautiful! The service was top-notch. The food was perfectly seasoned. Although my filet was overcooked, I was so thrilled with the flavor that I didn't care! They hit the mark with the Oscar style. I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

This is a family owned business and you can tell that they value people there. I had the shrimp appetizer (huge shrimp) and the seafood carbonara (cooked perfectly and perfectly sauced). For dessert I had the molten lava cake with gelato. I paired the first 2 with a Riesling and the last with a dark Manhattan. I was so happy that I stayed and had a decaffeinated espresso martini. I asked for decaffeinated as a joke, but then learned they can actually do it!!! If you go in and happen to find yourself in the bar area, tell Izabella the bartender that Roy says "Hi".

Absolutely wonderful service, and the food was SO delicious. I would say the best steak I ever had. The chef prepared it to perfection! He even came out to speak with us. We also enjoyed dessert - a lovely creme brulee' my favorite!

Amazing food and service. Everything we ordered was besting class, including Lamb chops, Steaks and Salmon. Sides were also awesome. We tried Sautéed mushrooms, broccolini and mashed potatoes. Death by chocolate also lived up to its name. The only turn off was very loud music. So much so that having any conversation was next to impossible. This resulted in the diners shouting and laughing out loud. Not expected for a fine dining restaurant like this.

Quality food, nice atmosphere and attentive staff. I suggested making a reservation, I recommend giving this place a try! Note: The Zuppa De Mare is a big dish and takes about 30 minutes to make so you might want want to skip or take it easy on the appetizers!

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was outstanding, the ambiance outdoors was unsurpassed, and the service was impeccable. The veal piccata was perfect as was the chateaubriand cooked perfectly to my liking. Soup or salad included with your meal as was bread (something I am seeing less and less of). highly recommended for any occasion!

We went for Valentine’s dinner and had such a wonderful experience! Despite being very busy, the service was great and every single dish we had was phenomenal. Ambiance was perfect. This was by far the best Valentine’s date my husband and I have had. We started with the Mushroom Al Forno, the pesto sauce was such a pleasant and completely unexpected surprise. My husband ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I ordered Rigatoni alla vodka, added crumbled sausage. Normally I’d add pancetta but the menu was limited since it was Valentine’s Day. My goodness, you could taste the care that went into every recipe and sauce. So flavorful, everything tasted like beloved home recipes. Even the starter bread (which we gladly used as our “spoon” to scoop up extra sauce - something we learned in Europe!) was fantastic. Can’t forget to mention the soup that comes out before your entree - sometimes these feel like an afterthought at restaurants but these were just as good as the main course. We finished off with some crème brûlée. It was creamy and custardy and had a strong and delicious vanilla flavor. It was clear that so much care, attention to detail and flavor, as well as using fresh, quality ingredients was put into every single thing at this restaurant. Well done, Chicago Prime. We have a new favorite restaurant and will certainly be back.

After a beautiful afternoon of hair, there is nothing better than following it up with your best friends, delicious wine and amazing food! Alejandro was great. He knew the menu, gave us the specials, and all of his recommendations were spot on. The restaurant was very clean and all staff were following the CDC Guidelines. The patio was perfect for our afternoon of chatting, sipping 🍷and eating 🥩🦀Dexter loved loved loved his filet 🥩 One of the things we love about CPI is the variety. Generally I do the Chicken Parm with angel hair and vodka sauce 🍗🍝 but yesterday was a 🥩 kinda day. They offer the same delicious hand picked steaks that they serve at Chicago Prime Steakhouse. Highly recommend both establishments, you won’t find a better family owned restaurant in Schaumburg!

Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting. They blended things that I've never thought would go together and the service was amazing😍 this is now one of me and my husband's favorite spots the menu was so appealing we spent almost $200 just trying different things 😋 I can't wait to be back in the area to visit again

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner, it was our first time and we really enjoyed it. Our waiter Luis was so nice and made sure we were taken care of at all times. We had the Bruschetta and Shrimp cocktail for appetizers. For our entrees i had the 10oz filet and my husband had the Seafood Carbonara. Everything was fresh and delicious we definitely will be coming here for our special occasions and dinners.

Top notch restaurant. The whole menu is great. Had a great evening. Perfect service and wine paring. Thank you very much. That's how it should be.

This place knows how to do food right! Outside of the calamari appetizer bring slightly overcooked, everything else was delish and portion size very good The wine selection is minimal and is not cheap at all, however, what they do have will compliment your meal well. The decor is lovely and the staff were too. We took our time and never felt rushed despite it being a very busy day. I would definitely return.

It was our family’s first time at Chicago Prime Italian, and we will definitely be back. Our server, Alejandro, was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent recommendations, ensured we were always well taken care of, and was friendly, polite, professional, and genuinely engaged throughout our meal. We also noticed the team member who refilled our water. He was consistently attentive, and we never once had to ask for a refill. The service overall was outstanding. Great experience from start to finish!

Chose Chicago Prime for my 65th Birthday. While I don't frequent much (Maybe once a year for special occasions like anniversary's as well as birthdays), I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the service. Sam our waiter, was a gem with his bander and stories which kept us entertained. (We were the only ones in the dining room because of the Super bowl game) He never forgot us and hit the mark with his excellent server attitude. And the managers also checked in on us as well as made sure we got a Tiramisu Birthday dessert with some excellent Limoncello. Thank you all that work there! Keep up with the great service and food. Sincerely Jeff & Robin Spicer

My wife and our friend had a wonderful dining experience! The food and service was exceptional! Christian who was working the bar and was also our server, was great! He was so on point with everything, and was very engaging. We shared a great and tasty calamari, salads were perfect and, we all ordered the filet and risotto special and it was outstanding! Finished off with the tasty bread pudding and cappuccino's. We were here last year and Christian was working too, we very glad that he was still there. Can't thank you enough for the experience! We dined early, so it wasn't too busy in the bar area, but an excellent vibe none the less. Only downer was the that Bears lost v the Packers, but this made up for it😀! Thank you!

An Unforgettable Experience at Chicago Prime Italian Steakhouse! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicago Prime Italian Steakhouse, and I simply had to share my incredible experience. This isn't just a review; it's a heartfelt thank you to a team that truly goes above and beyond for their guests. I have a severe allergy to the allium family (onions, garlic, chives, etc.)—the very essence of so much Italian cooking. I was understandably worried that my choices would be limited to a basic salad, or that I’d be forced to simply watch my friends enjoy their meal. I couldn't have been more wrong. The staff at Chicago Prime was not only accommodating but genuinely committed to ensuring I had a wonderful, safe, and delicious dinner. They treated my dietary restriction with the utmost seriousness and creativity, crafting an amazing meal that allowed me to partake without being left out. It was such a relief to enjoy the company of my friends and savor a good dinner in their warm, inviting atmosphere, rather than feeling isolated by my allergy. The care and attention to detail from the chef and the entire service team made a huge difference. Their dedication to guest satisfaction is truly world-class. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy a wonderful evening with friends!

As I aimlessly drove around Schaumburg to decide what I wanted for dinner, I drove by Chicago Prime Italian Steakhouse and the reset is history. The bartenders that worked this evening were the epitome of relaxed hospitality. I wish I got their names Great Job, Great Food & Pricing was very reasonable. Excellent escape :)

I only came here once but the appetizer and the entree were pretty decent in food quality. The menu has a large selection including some of the Italian classics. Service was on point. Waiter made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant itself gives of a high class appearance with white cloth tables. They do have some options for vegetarian and vegan. Prices are standard for this type of cuisine.

Went in today for mothers day celebrations. We went with menu not the brunch. They were very busy! Brunch was on one side and the table distributed all around but One thing that I didnt like was that if I was not doing brunch, and had reservations ahead of time and were dining in regular, why we had to wait 30min for our table to ready, along with other guests who were brunching. Other than that our experience was very good Waited for 30min Place was very busy. We ordered the mothers day special vodka drinks-they were a failure for our table. We order mushroom and bruschetta for appetizers. Mushroom was a big hit. We all loved it! We ordered shrimp pasta, cheese ravoli, gnocchi and fettuccine. They all were a big hit. We finished with our favorite tiramisu and coffee. The manager was very friendly and nice.

Went here for my husband's bday. Food was good nothing special. Cesar was our server and he was very attentive and helpful. The best part of the meal was the appetizer. We had the baked goat cheese and eggplant. It was so yummy!

Food was outstanding! We went on New Year’s Eve. Music was heavenly! Service was ok . Our server was overwhelmed. We had to get up and ask the host to fill our water. We asked for bread and our server explained it was the busers responsibility. I will be back because the food was outstanding! Our server came back because he forgot our salad order. I understand people get overwhelmed but you need to know when to ask for help.

Let me start off by saying, I LOVE Chicago Prime Italian. It is my favorite Italian place to go. I frequent a few times a year on a special occasion. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff are all friendly, and the food is always exquisite. The owner is always there and very involved. I just had a couple of things that left me a little unsatisfied this time around. First off, we had a reservation, and were told they had no idea when space would be available in the standard dining room. It was already past 7:30, so we didn’t want to wait long. We were offered a bar area seat. Overall it was fine, but the music was just a little loud, which made it hard to have conversations. Then, my favorite dessert, the crème’ brûlée was smaller, and it was quite liquidy when it’s supposed to be creamy. I never had a bad creme brûlée until tonight. I hope it gets fixed!

The food was good but not so amazing where it was with the price. Bread was not fresh and kind of hard to eat. We had a really good waiter, Mauro. It was his first week there and his service was really good. Live music started at 6. It was good but not worth the price. There are places around that’s better for the price.

The best way to describe Chicago Prime Italian is that the concept, cuisine, and overall spirit of this establishment is that it was. . . unfortunately “off.” The decor is slight upscale and the dim ambiance is definitely on the right path, but the non-romantic electro dance track playing didn’t match the ambiance that could be …and subsequently, the music detracted and subtracted from the what-could-be old school high class ambiance. Growing up first generation Italian and being exposed to some of the most amazing Italian and Southern Italian cuisine in the world from the hands of my parents’ and family’s cooking, you would think when my father took our family out to an Italian restaurant, that he would tell us to look first and foremost for “A, B, then C” to qualify it as an exceptional establishment. No. He would always tell me to go first check out the bathroom! Lol! He said you could often tell a lot about a restaurant about the design and maintenance of the bathroom! Funny, at Chicago Prime, the men’s bathroom was slightly above average but had a chandelier that had approximately 3 out of about 6 bulbs out. Also, the divider of the two men”s urinals must have been bumped and loosened up in the past, and someone repaired the area on the wall with Elmer’s white glue-looking caulk without painting the repair area. Thus, the management had not afforded the time to keep even the bathroom up to first class status. For the inception of the dining experience, the BEST part began and ended with the service via the two friendly, engaging, respectful, and professional servers. From there, a basket of bread and what we figured out to be focaccia were served. Both seemed day old “stale” and hard, non-moist, cold, and in the case of the focaccia—VERY dry and crumbly. Fresh baked warm bread should have been served along with fresh and moist focaccia with the right chew. The best part of the meal was the pasta fagiioli soup. It was delicious with smoky overtones. The baked clams we ordered as a precursor to our meal were probably the least enjoyable we have ever tasted. They were soupy, uncharacteristically fishy, and were apparently made with tomato sauce mixed in the bread crumbs—-a characteristic not normative from all the baked clams I grew up with. I cannot prove that there was tomato sauce in there, but believe me it was red and tasted like tomatoes and maybe the chef decided to try something different that night. Well, tomatoes and the presence of them adds “soupiness” to whatever you add if it’s not cooked down enough first. Finally, we ordered the Land and Sea, asking for the filets to be medium rare. One of the filets came out medium with an end of the piece almost medium well. The other filet came out near medium rare. The filets had decent flavor, but they were not consistently cooked. We each got one tiger prawn which were just about overcooked. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry. It’s as if the food was made and left in a warmer where it overcooked until it was served to us. Overall we cannot recommend this restaurant. We do recommend that the good servers should get jobs at the Capital Grill where the highest standards are kept. 2.7 of 5 stars This is a want to be upscale restaurant with the overtones of a chain feel. We so wanted this to be an enjoyable experience.

Average food. Great service. Theres much better steakhouse options in the area and the "italian" flare on the menu is very underwhelming. Another restaurant that plays Sinatra and calls itself Italian. Nothing is bad but nothing is great either. On the positive, the staff is absolutely wonderful.

Came here with another couple on a Saturday night who recommended this restaurant. Hostess seated us next to a table with a large group with three loud children ( getting up & down from their seats & singing disney tunes). We asked to be seated elsewhere and we were accommodated. French martini was good. Server didn’t hear the appetizer choice & brought the wrong one. They had a large group seated in another room with an Elvis impersonator. It was a very loud atmosphere & we had to talk so loud at one another to be heard. The food was just ok. They forgot to bring a side dish, noodle request for the veal dish was not delivered. Chicken piccata was overly salty. The server apologized & suggested the mishaps were due to the kitchen being focused on the group party. Not an enjoyable experience & it felt like a circus.

Came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. My wife went by the waitress recommendation, took a few bites and did not like it. Asked if she could return the plate and waitress said -“yes, we’ll take it off” I went with the “Surf & Turf” ($125.00) and food was Not so good. lacked much seasoning, Lobster tail was very dry and NO FLAVOR. Our waitress was very forgetfull, forgot my drink refill, forgot my utensils, forgot my salad that came with my entree. She apparently mentioned that a soup or salad came with my wife’s entree, yet we got charged for the soup and for the plate we returned even though she said she would remove it from the bill. And bill came out to almost $300.00!

Spent over $500 here after tip in attempt to take my family somewhere nice to celebrate. If you are a minority, they will seat you in the back room with the other minorities and the DOG. Our server was clearly over sat and didn’t have the capacity to offer timely service. We waited forever to order, forever for our entrees, and when we tried to order our second drink, it only arrived after we had finished our entrees. Food was WAY overpriced for the quality. I couldn’t believe how lacking they were after waiting so long. My family wished we had gone somewhere else. Absolutely do not recommend.

My partner and I chose this restaurant for Valentine’s Day because we were looking forward to trying a new place with pretty good reviews. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated on time, and our initial drink and food orders were taken in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the oyster special, as we both enjoy oysters, but unfortunately they were disappointing. They had a strong odor upon arrival and appeared very dark and mushy in texture. After tasting a small portion, we were concerned about getting sick because they were not fresh at all and tasted terrible. When we asked for the plate to be removed, there was no questioning or follow up from the server as to why we were sending back a whole plate of oysters we just got but we let it go as we were just really happy to be celebrating the day. While we understood that Valentine’s Day is a busy evening and some delay is expected, the overall wait time became excessive with over an hour. Our server checked on us very rarely and our drinks remained empty for quite some time and by the time the server finally came back we were far too hungry to order another drink. When our entrées arrived, they were cold and not very good quality for the price point which was super disappointing. Although the staff offered a complimentary dessert, which we appreciated, it did not fully offset the overall experience. We had planned to stay for additional drinks and dessert, but the food, service and wait time had us just wanting to leave. We were prepared to spend both the time and money for a special Valentine’s Day dinner, but unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations and overall put a damper on our date.

our reservation was 8:30 we were seated at 8:54 food was brought to us at 10:19 . Waitress was nice but service was not ok, People arriving around same time had eaten and left before we even got our meal not good.and broccoli was not fully cooked.

Went for Christmas dinner early. The soup was like it had twigs in it. Not edible. The bread was rock hard. The lobster hadn't been deveined and was tough and rubbery. The server was packing up other people 's doggie bags while I was still eating and asked me if I was done yet. Like he wanted us out of his table. Very rude. Sorry but this place is s overrated and overpriced.

A
Angelica

Below standards. We showed up for our reservation only New Year’s Eve, only to tell me I did not have one & I would need to wait. I gave the schedulers name, no accountability, no problem solving just apologies. After another waiting 30 minutes, insisting to speak to manager to get seated, they finally did, at the end, no discount, no nothing for inconvenience. We just paid a hefty amount of hard earned money to a business who clearly doesn’t need it. There’s so many more steak houses in the area, after this experience, we will never return.

M
Mariyan Stoykov

Food was great. The rest was atrocious. Appetizer came within five minutes of ordering, proceeded by the soup and or salad at basically same time as appetizer. The entree took forty five minutes to arrive. The waiter did not refill any drinks during this forty five minutes, only stopped by once to say the food will be out shortly. The food came twenty five minutes after he said it'll be out shortly. Manager offered me one free dessert for a party of six to rectify the situation, she explained they were backed up thirty five minutes and that's typical for their kitchen on a busy day. I guess a busy day is half the restaurant being empty. Anyways, if you like good food give it a go but don't expect good service or even a drink refill. It's like delicious Olive Garden but with worse service and triple the price.
