Loved the food. Service was nice and quick. Just wish you could sit down to eat.
Picked up Chicken Spaetzle soup for my elderly mom and me. We both loved it. Great service too.
Great place to go if you want a different breakfast sandwich with a great cup of coffee. I recommend the Dark Roast, served black. ☕😎
Bagels are delicious, reminds me of my youth.
Customer service was great, I got my order pretty fast. Great bagels !!
Bagels baked fresh daily. 10+flavors of cream cheese. Tradition you can taste
I loved the bagel sandwich 🥪, great service Shout out to September!! Huge selection of flavored cream cheese too.
All the tasty bagels! Also coconut coffee which is my favorite summer treat. Good service, but the parking at this location is not great and their bathrooms could use a good scrub down.
Brugger's is one of my wife and mine go to places for a quick breakfast. Service is fast and friendly. The breakfast sandwiches are good. And the restaurant have a good relaxed feeling.
I usually spend more than I plan to here, but the food is very fresh and I love the variety of breakfast sandwiches! Can't wait for the French toast coffee to be a regular item on the menu!
We love these bagels. They have excellent sandwiches and weather in Wake forest, North Carolina or Schenectady Ny they are consistently clean, friendly and delicious 😋
Went this morning and tried their Farmhouse bagel..was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend this over dunking donuts. I 💘 trying new places..
They are corporate but really good I guess the corporate is good in this situation because things are consistent and still well done. They have the best bacon out of any sandwich place imo.
I frequent this location pretty often. The staff has been friendly in each encounter I’ve had with them. I often order ahead on the app, and when I arrive my order is always ready and waiting for me to grab, which I love because that’s one of the main reasons I utilize the order ahead option. If you’re a fan of garden veggie cream cheese, I find theirs to be the best. Their breakfast sandwiches are fresh and delicious as well.
After receiving great service my bagel bag ripped right outside the door and my dozen bagels fell onto the street. Embarrassed I gathered up the bagels and suddenly one of the employees came outside and asked me what bagels I ordered. It was such a kind gesture and without any guilt or shame they replaced my bagels with kind smiles. Needless to say they were delicious. Out of all the capital region Bruggers, this is the absolute best one. Shout out to the great people at the Union Street Bruggers!
I want to give a shout out to the crew working on Saturday, 2/15 in the am. I almost turned around and walked out when I saw how many people were in line ahead of me. I was on my way to work so I had limited time to wait. I’m glad I stayed...got my food and out the door within 15 minutes with a least 7 orders ahead of me! The food speaks for itself...consistently the best bagels in the Capital District. I’m from Brooklyn so I know what I’m talking about. Than you for making my day!
One of the best spots for bagels and bagel sandwich. Great selection. Nice to be able to get bfast sandwiches after 10:30 AM
Pre ordered on the app. Walk in 15minutes later, hot and ready to go.
Such great bagels, wonderful staff, they're kind and efficient
The bagels are great (cinnamon raisin and sesame especially) and the staff is friendly and engaging. They have a good energy level - something that other businesses would benefit from. The order ahead in the app is very convenient.
Ordered delivery from GrubHub. Affordable, fast, made correctly, and delicious. Better than some other local bagel shops.
I love this Bruegger's. The staff is always cheerful and coffee hot. Best dark roast in the area and the Western bagel sandwiches are to die for. Thank you. First reviewed 7 yrs ago. My opinion hasn't changed after hundreds of visits. Best bagel and coffee in the area. The Upper Union Team is cheerful and a pleasure to see.
The staff are always very kind and accommodate my food allergy effectively. The food always tastes fresh and is well made.
The Bagels are just like Long Island Bagels. I didn't think I'd be able to find any thing like them in upstate New York. They are wonderful. My husband absolutely loves the coffee. The service is even better than the bagels and coffee. Jeff and Randy were especially kind and helpful. We're only in this area when we come up to visit my son, but we will try to make it to Bruegger's on our way home every time we're up here from now on.
I went to Bruegger's for morning breakfast. I received extremely fast and friendly service. I was greeted promptly and I was thanked for coming and was even told to have a wonderful day as I was leaving. The food was nice and fresh. The store was extremely clean and I was happy to see the dining room open to customers.
Union st was the best Brueggers around but it had a few years of struggles. New employees, new systems in place and it is back to being great
In my opinion Bruegger's Union Street Bagel Shop the Best of them all, Always the FRESHEST, Great VARIETY & the Staff Friendly. Amanda Runs A Very WELL EXECUTED SHOP...WELL DONE 🥯
Really good bagels. Ordered ahead. Shipped line sand picked up order. Friendly staff. Most people followed the sign and were masked
Love the food as usual! Some of the customer service was a wee bit apathetic. The worker who cashed us out made up for it though.
Great bagels and spreads. Good sandwich options. Service is relatively fast but not always organized. The location has fallen into disrepair and tables are often dirty so eating in isn't a great idea
It was good the people were friendly. The Asian lady who was there maybe a customer was funny. Only set back is parking g during rush hours parking is hard does not have a dedicated parking lot. But over all its good..
Last couple of visit have found this particular store limited on available bagels. Product is one of the best but if your forced to pick from limited choices available, I tend to find another store or location to shop at such as the store on Wolf Road or Central Ave.
Bagel, bagel burning bright, first bagel shop I see tonight. Well, actually, they aren't open at night, but nice and early in the morning. This franchise for years wasn't quite renovated and things were a bit disorienting, but I think things have settled down. Coffee. Bagels. Cream cheese. Those salmon bagel sandwich things are nice.
my usual bagel shop was closed so we went here, i got an asiago bagel with turkey sausage egg and cheese, everything was good, but the cheese was not melty, the orange juice was good (florida's natural). relatively clean, bathroom had flies but wasn't that dirty.
Other than running out of bagels frequently, we really like getting food here. The staff is great, and the food is very tasty.
The bagels are good but they won't let you sit down because they are still doing the covid thing. So you just got a jam that bagel in a bag and skedaddle.
Bagels are very good. Employees seemed unenthusiastic and, while not mean, certainly unwelcoming. Limited selection: no soup even though it's always listed on menu, no croissants or pastries, etc.
Never very welcoming when I walk in there.
For bagles. It's pricey. Underwhelming plain bagles with any topping, will run you 8-10$ It's good maybe once a year. The staff does their best.
I would recommend the food to anyone, but the man who is homeless who is nodding out at the table while his clothes reaking of body odor is scrambled all over the bathroom floor is just not right. I understand people need help but bruegers restroom is not the place to call home..
The bagel is delicious! However this will be the last time I get one here until it’s cleaned up. If you look up while waiting for your food to be prepared the vents and lighting which is near enough to the bagels, are covered with dirt and dust. I don’t know how often these things get cleaned but looks like a been a long time. I have a small cleaning business so I’m bias. I do plan to tell them face to face but didn’t want to while there were customers coming and going. Wait until almost closed or call.
Service is slow and the store is never clean. Your almost guaranteed to find sugar wrappers and spilled coffee on the counter where you the cream and sugar is. The staff is usually young and generally nice but the bar for being professional is low. The smoked salmon bagel is really good and that is all that ever brings me here.
I've always liked Bruegger's tho I don't go as often as I used to. Today I went for lunch for a change. It was pre-lunch, around 10:30a. I ordered the crispy chicken on a potato and cheese bagel. The poster on the wall made it look very good. The young lady behind the counter took great care in making the sandwich just as the poster showed. When I got home to eat it is a different story! This is only my opinion but I did not enjoy the potato cheese bagel/bread at all. The concept sounds good but in reality it made the bagel mushy. The texture wasn't good at all. There was also some sort of dressing, it seemed like a cream cheese, which seemed like it should not have been on a lunchtime chicken sandwich. The poster said the chicken would be crispy but after being zapped in the microwave there was no crisp to it. The lettuce, tomato and onion were very fresh and crispy. There were 2 ladies behind the counter and they were doing their very best to keep up with the orders and sales. I have nothing but respect for them. So, overall, I will come here to get bagels every now and then but I can't imagine getting lunch here ever again.
I have never been to Brueggers Bagels and i had just got my nails done so i was right next door and decided i wanted one. The Cashier (male) was very nice but one of the younger girl making food was rude. A girl before me got a bagel and they forgot her bacon so the lady told her it would be a couple mins. So i went up to the counter and a different girl told me she didn’t have any everything bagels left but they had onion and some other bagel that i forgot so i said i would have an onion bagel and she said “a what?” and i said i’m sorry what bagels did you say you had? because i thought maybe i misheard. After i went and paid and moved back and was not looking at the counter. I looked up after the same lady who took my ordered yelled at me saying “MA’AM your order” I didn’t get her name but even the girls before me were caught off guard. She didn’t even call out my order she just said “MA’AM” I wasn’t mad at the fact she called me ma’am it’s just that she yelled at me. idk but I work in food industry and I call out the name or the order i don’t yell ma’am or sir. There was 4 other people in there that she could’ve been talking to. Of course i didn’t respond right away. Not that it matters but I probably won’t be going back.
We usually go to manhattan and they were closed today. We stopped here and it wasn’t busy and they shorted us 4 bagels.
Hey Bruegger's, where's the "Take a penny, leave a penny" bowl? An annoying experience because their bagel toaster wasn't working at 9 in the morning. Maybe they should have two. Their bagels are also relatively expensive for a bagel with cream cheese. But that's another topic, the price, it seems to fluctuate from $2 and change to $3 and change with the exact same order. The last very annoying thing was my last bagel with cream cheese, not toasted because toaster didn't work, was $3.01. The cashier gave me back the 99 cents. Bagels are okay.
The bagels are tiny! I bought a bagel sandwich and $8.50 later I'm still hungry. Running across the street to McDonald's to eat more food. What a rip off, never going back. I'd rather support local bagel/coffee shop..... But wait, there is none!
The food is good. Some of the staff are not so friendly. I watched one of the staff members give an attitude to a customer. And ignored another customer who asked a question.
I honestly just expected more out of a nearly $7 bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. Everything is pre-cooked and then toasted to heat it up, similar to subway. Of I had known that, I would have stopped at dunkin' and got the same thing for half the price.
This location has really gone down hill. Every time we go in, (I'm not exaggerating) they are out of something. Bacon, Turkey, lettuce, plain bagels, onion bagels, they never have their soups. Very disappointing. We now drive from Schenectady to go to the colonie location.
Service was super slow due to some major screw up on the order before mine. The girl making the food was fast, however it took another 10 minutes to cash out. Don't recommend if you're in a hurry. Food was very basic.
Almost out of bagels. Didn't have anything we wanted. This is the third time they didn't have sesame bagels, hours before closing. Cold atmosphere.
I love the bagels but the service has drastically declined. They were out of everything I asked for. The woman at the counter said to us "2 bagels with butter?" as she said this she turned around and walked away deserting the register. We stood there dumb founded. The young man preapring the bagels apologized and proceeded to try and manage the entire store.
Kind of a disaster today. Work station looked like a complete mess. Noontime bagels were not fresh and barely any to choose from. Sandwich was super messy. And there were limited drinks and cream cheese. Ordered a fountain drink, it was completely flat and syrup was off. It seems as though they made a mistake with the order of the gentleman behind me.
My order is always wrong. I always have to go back. I communicate and double check and they always get it wrong. I say no sauce and my sandwich is drenched everytime. I ask if there is sauce and I’m told no then get home and there’s sauce. Always feels on purpose too
First time eating at a Bruegger’s in a long time, now I remember why. Watched a gentleman in the back take frozen bagels out of a box and prepare an order. Always thought they had fresh bagels!! Ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel, after a 15 min ride the bagel was hard as a rock, tried reheating it but it was no use. Will because last time I visit a Brueggers. They used to be the best around, now just frozen garbage like the market sells.
The famous local chain Bruegger’s is nothing more than a rebranded dunkin’ donuts with somehow even lower quality products. I ordered a simple bacon egg and cheese. The premade eggs tasted like plastic, the cheese was not melted, and the bacon was dry. I also got a coffee which was clearly not fresh and did not taste very good. The prices were also way too high for the quality of product offered. I would give it a 1 star review if the only factor was the food, but the service was actually pretty decent. I do not understand the hype for Bruegger’s. They’re everywhere in the capital district and I cannot fathom why. Would not recommend going.
We ordered a dozen bagels, and 2 cream cheeses. The first two I asked for were Asiago. I got eleven bagels, no Asiago.
I feel like I every time I order from here it is a hit or a miss. One day the food is great and made perfectly and the next it’s a disaster. My family ordered breakfast from here yesterday - my mom’s bagel was perfect but my bagel was not toasted and my bacon was not cooked. Today we ordered again and the bagels are again - not toasted. I understand that this establishment is popular and it gets busy but, be mindful about the quality of food you’re making. It would make sense to say “would I eat this if it were me?” And if not, fix it!
Not only did the employee make the customer after me's food 1st, he had to be told to make my order. When I looked at my order it was a mess, my food was all over the place and looked like it was just carelessly prepared. As this was my 1st experience with this food chain, I was not impressed and most certainly not returning.
Only care about take out orders now have no consideration for customer act like they don’t desist anymore have been waiting for 15 min for 2 breakfast sandwiches and they are just doing to go order after to go order they made a fresh batch of eggs when I walked in only 1 customer ahead of me and the used all the eggs for to go orders now I have to wait for more eggs to be made won’t come here anymore thanks
OMG The carpeting in this place is downright atrocious. The carpet has been stained black for YEARS. YEARS! Now the tiles are falling out too. Ask yourselves this Niskayuna - do you really want to EAT at a place that has such low standards as to leave filthy, rotting carpet in a "family" eatery? Get someone in charge of this place that will clean it up!
The bagels are good, but very small. They are not worth the price at all. That is one reason why so many Bruegger's are closing.
Paid $8.52 for a bacon egg and cheese a child could eat in 4 bites. Wildly overpriced, won’t be returning.
Gave out my order to someone else and refused to re make my order. Disappointing
The most dry and skimpy bagel I've ever had. I asked for ham and got little scraps of bacon as if they were running out but yet the place was DEAD!!! Now I see why.smh won't ever be going there and will be telling all my coworkers never go there!!!
I have never had such terrible service. Just left and did not buy any bagels. The service is awful, do not go there at 9 AM. No one to wait on you and then they take care of people behind you and let you wait. So I went to Stewart's instead and was waited on immediately.
Went to the location at 1634 Union Street in Schenectady, NY and was literally the worst service I’ve ever encountered! Not by all the employees but specifically by Theresa, who was supposed to helping me. I was unsure what I wanted so my mother and I allowed her to take about 3 customers before us. Once we were ready, we told her and she asked the next customer what they would like, the customer even replied “they are ahead of me” referring to my mother and I, I again affirmed her that we were ready to order. She then says “ well I already asked this customer”. Also while figuring out what we wanted to order Theresa continued to ask ME, the CUSTOMER to past bags and food to the customers I allowed her to take before me. Very unprofessional and made me feel completely uncomfortable, I too worked in this type of business and would of never treated a customer like that. When I expressed my disappointment she then YELLS across the store “oh boo hoo.” If my skin was not brown I do not believe I would’ve got this treatment because the other customers were not treated like this.
Placed a mobile order online. Paid extra for what I ordered and I guess they didn’t have the item and it was substituted without contacting me. We drove back for the woman that works there no name tag on to give us a whole attitude and says “what do you want me to do” Maybe you should contact the customer to see what they want instead of trying to assume and not even tell them that the order wasn’t correct??? $34 for four bagel sandwiches to be not what I ordered was extremely disappointing!
Usually come here in the morning for quick breakfast before work and these past couple of days they have been not open when they are supposed to due to “oven not working “ this is a issue that needs to be fixed by management asap I my self work at so 6 am I’ve seen so many angry customers in the morning it’s crazy food here is 5 stars but this needs to be fixed
11 am on the Saturday before Easter and they had only cinnamon sugar, blueberry, and 2 pumpernickel bagels...they had at least 3 staff working in the front, close at 2pm, and "WEREN'T MAKING ANY MORE BAGELS". Seriously???! Don't know how they stay in business, but we won't bother stopping there again...just going straight to the Dunkin' next door.
There was a black hair in my bf bagel and they put honey walnut on our bagels instead of Sriracha, honey. You’d think they would be extra careful with nuts…..(for allergies) ALSO waited 27 mins for 2 bagels with just cream cheese while one of the workers was on her cell phone talking and another workers saying screw it i need a cigarette break. worst brueggers
My food was not done, there was nothing on this sandwich I bought 2 of them ,and I was charged 23 dollars, and the service was all full..I ordered a plain bagel with ham and American cheese. And onion bagel turkey and cheese, there was nothing on the bagel.i never was treated like that, they were so disrespectful. I asked a question and the girl was ignoring me..I have pictures..
I get the smoked salmon bagel every time I come it's always consistent that's always good Today and the last time I went about a week ago I did not have capers on my sandwich.. If something is going to be discontinued then there should be some type of notice to customers.. It's upsetting when you're expecting your food to be presented to you in a specific way and then all the sudden they just stopped doing it the way that you like in fact is the way they advertise it...
Bagel was very small. Had a similar sandwich in a different location for $2 less. Staff was likely vaping in the ladies room that day.
Grew up in Queens and Brooklyn. Worked in a Deli for a while in Long Island. First time here Authentic New York bagels should not be in their description. They only sell mini bagels. I'm no stranger to paying a lot of money for a breakfast sandwich. But I just paid 9.50 for a sausage bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. One strip of bacon split in two, only one egg, regular sausage on a mini bagel. I asked for a bagel and a got a mini bagel because that's all they sell. This place is not worthy to be called a NY Bagel shop. I mean if I had a 3.8 out of 5 rating I'd start considering why. On top of that bagels are super cheap to produce and buy at wholesale so how do you explain a mini sandwich with an oj at $9.50. You're doing something wrong.
worst experience ever this morning. I've gone to this store for about 10 years now and recently I am watching it turn into a terrible experience like this morning. the woman behind the counter was miserable. no smile. no good morning. and was noticeable aggravated when I took a second to pick what I wanted on my bagel. and the bagel was raw. totally uncooked inside. after 10 years I think I'm done. there is no excuse!
Ran out of majority of types of Bagels. Staff in no hurry to assist customers. Many customers left with nothing. Tables filthy! Bathrooms filthy! Not at all a pleasant experience! Bruegger's being such a big chain, I definitely expected better. Dunkin Donut's across the street, clean and pleasant, also had what the advertised! Will never go to a Bruegger's again!!!
Five customers in the store and waited 15 minutes until I left. Stood at the cash register for five minutes while one girl finished sipping her drink as she must have been on a break. Three other employees walked around looking busy but never came to the register. Obviously customer satisfaction is not their concern at this location. i love Brueggers but will never come back to this location. Not a smile to be found except for Amanda who was the only one working hard to please people!! Go Amanda!!
Today was the Union Street Strawberry Festival. Hundreds of participants. I stopped to get a bagel and coffee. One man was working the counter. Two patrons were in front of me. I waited my turn for 10 minutes, never moving. Very very slow service and no other worker showed up in that whole time. I keep telling myself not to go to that Brueggers, but I keep giving it abother try. Always disappointed.
They are always backed up, food takes forever. Every single time I order from here there’s an issue. I never got my food so there are no photos
Ordered two salmon bagel sandwiches for my husband and I through DoorDash for pickup. $26. Whatever-- they say they have NY style bagels so I was up for it. Husband came home with two small ( not NY style) dry bagels -- literally a teaspoon of cream cheese on one side of the bagel and nothing on the other -- with one slice of salmon, untoasted. Called to complain -- not something I do often since I work in customer service as a manager myself -- and was greeted by a less-than-accountable manager who spoke over me, did not want feedback, and offered us to come back for two new ones (no thanks I'm home now and I don't trust your quality). I was told the bagels come untoasted (ok fine) and they don't put much cream cheese on the salmon sandwich (weird for a bagel sandwich not to come with much cream cheese). I offered to send her pictures because I can't believe that. I worked in hospitality for like 20 years and I've never seen such a meager portion for such an expensive item. Manager went in the blame DoorDash pricing for my expectations o a full sandwich and said I should go through DoorDash for a refund. DoorDash had already told me to go through the shop. This was my first experience and now my last. No accountability other than a clearly sarcastic apology and an offer she knew we weren't going to take up to drive all the way back to downtown Schenectady for in such a shaky promise. We went to Uncommon Grounds in Albany on Western Avenue after this call -- which is what I should have done to begin with. There I always get an authentic NY style bagel and the Lox of Love sandwich is fully-loaded with what you'd expect -- and then some. Lesson learned.
I feel like this place is a hit or miss. It was good the last time I had it. My everything bagel is not a traditional everything bagel. It is super salty and hard to enjoy. My fiances bagel is not hash bagel. It just was a bagel with air pockets. This was a waste of my money.
They need to absolutely fire everybody behind the counter that is working January 11, 2026 they messed my order up two times and a little self entitled blank cutting the bagels has nothing but a attitude terrible service overall I wouldn’t recommend to anybody bunch of young disrespectful Kids that don’t know what to do in life
It’s just impossible to get the correct order here. I feel bad, because they seem to be working very hard every time i go in, but i just have to cut my losses at this point due to frustration.
If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. This review is only for the Schenectady location, other locations have great service and are friendly. I see so many reviews saying staff is rude and orders are incorrect. When is someone going to do something about this. Clearly your staff needs better guest relations training. When they forget or mess up orders, they are rude and dismissive. They refused to deal with any sort of conflict that might be due to their actions. They gaslight the guest to make them feel like they are the ones being rude and become overly defensive to the point where they escalate simple situations. Please help them. They are severely struggling. Edit: To date, there has been no response other than, "We will forward this to the regional manager". The regional manager has never reached out to myself or anyone else who has made a complaint regarding this experience. This location has yet to take accountability for their mistakes and rudeness. Please look at the theme of the reviews for this location. It's very sad that a local staple is being represented in such a poor manner.
Stay away. Definitely go to one of the other locations over this one. The employees do not seem to care or want to be there working. Constantly swearing back and forth. Very unprofessional. There could be 2 customers and 5 people working and they do not even acknowledge you as you stand there waiting to order. If you order more than 2 things they will absolutely get something wrong in the order. It appeared the manager on duty was in the back, when they looked up and saw people waiting they turned their back and went back to whatever mundane task they were doing. The other locations nearby are so much more friendly, clean, and professional. If I could give 0 stars I would. Dunkin and mcdonalds are both better ran than this dump of a bagel shop.
The orders came scrambled together and not on the right sandwiches, my son’s sandwich had to much pepper in his egg because that egg was meant for my sandwich. I would have switched the egg but I had cream cheese on my eggs so he wouldn’t eat it. I ordered 2 out of three with cheese hash bagel and they all came as cheese bagels. It was a pick up order and the bag was not closed causing the food to get cold, no one here likes a cold hash brown. My sons literally said “with all due respect mom please never order food from here for me again”. Just overall a bad experience.
Forgot five bagels in our order. Refused to make the bagels when we came in to get them after calling them about their mistake. Also when we called about our missing food, the manager hung up on us. Worst service I’ve ever seen. If could give 0 stars I would.
Ordered 2 plain with jalapeno cream cheese. I don't know if they were out of cream cheese or the employee was just lazy but the cream cheese was non existent. Hey Dunkin is right across the street guess they will get my business
Was waiting for my bagel and there was a man who obviously appeared to be homeless?? But he was causing a disturbance and yelling EXTREMELY loudly and I honestly was gonna walk out because of how uncomfortable I was. If I was the manager I would do something about this, this type of loitering will drive customers away
They never have enough bagels to last a shift. You have to come early in the morning to get popular bagels. You’d think it would be terrible for business to have three hours left of it being open and only have raisin bagels to offer. This has been a theme for years unfortunately and i try to give them the benefit of the doubt every once in a while. Only to be continually disappointed.
Two weeks ago on Sunday I placed a mobile order at home and my husband went to pick it up. When he got there he was told the order never came through by a skinny white kid with blue green hair, now it looks like he bleached the color out. When my husband asked about the order he was me with attitude saying the order never came through. Fine so they make the order and my husband sees it sitting on the counter. Another worker tried to help my husband by asking him what he had gotten to see if that order was ours and that same white kid cut him off and said with nastiest attitude youre going to have to wait and sent the guy who was trying to help on break. The guy comes back from break and that's when the rude white kid said oh that is your order while being extremely nice to everyone else. I will never eat at this establishment and I hope no one else is met with same malice as my husband was.
Order there new double stack. The only thing I change was the bread to raisin cinnamon bagel It comes with this chipotle, mayo sauce, did not come on the breakfast sandwich and the eggs also has shells I never really make reviews but $13 In this economy. Just trying to treat myself. But the sandwich and orange juice. I could’ve just got what I paid for, but I did not
What a shame.. I grew up here on Union street. I'm back home visiting family and friends before I leave for my next venture. What a mess it this location is inside. Very sad to see the best bagel shop in the town turn into a shop that I believe with be my last time seeing how the upkeep has taking a turn for the worse. Seeing how they have shut down in-house dining you'd think there would be more time to keep the inside clean. It looks disgusting and I'm not sure if I want to eat the bagel I just purchased. Overall, very disappointing experience being back for the first time I'm 4 years. These photos are taken from the customer's view. The panels above the menu are where the employees make the food. It looks like dust, grime and other unhealthy practices fall into the food line where you order the food. In elementary school we took a field trip to see how the bagels where made back in the early 2000s. I could only imagine what the kitchen looks like since the lack of care from the customers view is currently. What a shame. (In response to the owner) Spotless seems alittle too extreme..how about the basic standards of the food industry.. I wonder when the last time a food inspector has been there..although, from reading your response it seems like no wonder your business looks the way it does. Doesn't seem like you understand the basics of your own establishment. Very sad.
