I’m not usually one to write reviews but we had such a great experience at Max410 for Valentine’s Day! They were honestly one of the only spots left with last minute availability, so we decided to give it a try. We were a little skeptical at first since we had never been before but they completely exceeded our expectations. They offered a set menu (included for reference) with a few different selections to choose from. It was four courses for $90 per person, which also included champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, a cute touch and perfect for the occasion. For the appetizer my husband got the fried oysters and I had the braised pork belly, both were amazing. Then we followed it with the poached pair salad and the red pepper bisque. The bisque was to die for and so flavorful and creamy! For the main course, my husband got the lobster and I chose the filet, which was incredibly tender and absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. By the time we got to dessert we were both pretty full, but we got the smore cheesecake and the lemon zest posset. Again, both were SO good even though we couldn’t finish them all! Despite how busy it was, our waitress was fantastic, she was attentive, friendly, and completely on top of everything all night. The food all came out in a timely manner and our drinks were always topped off and not sitting empty. The service really made the experience even better. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend 🍴
Celebrated my daughter's birthday and Wow! What an amazing dinner and service was perfect. The beef tops were outstanding with shrimp. The lobster roll was perfect. Shaved beef and blue cheese appetizers just the best. All the servers were wonderful. Thank you for making this a special evening.
Good food & plenty of it. And our server, Rebecca was marvelous!
The food is delicious and the service top notch! I highly recommend eating here you are ever in the neighborhood. You will not be disappointed!!!!
Tonight's food was amazing and so was the Santa's Hat martini! I had prime rib special with a huge salad, stuffed baked potato and veggies. The bread with the whipped flavored butter is delicious! The prime rib was cooked to my perfection. This place is always a hit for me and our waitress, and the others are so nice, and the atmosphere was so quaint and perfect for the holiday. Another reason I love this place is you can actually talk to the person at the table and not yell. Some places are so loud that you can't talk to the person in front of you. And yes, it was packed with people tonight and you can still talk at the table with a normal voice. My girlfriends loved their food too. I can't wait to come back! Christine from Rotterdam.
Great food, amazing service. The manager, Sue, and the staff were superb hosting a large party.
What an amazing night our wedding night was! Taylor was soo helpful in making sure All of our needs were met in planing our dream wedding! Her whole crew was so wonderful ! The food was to die for! We had the best experience ever! We are so truly grateful for all of them! Thank you sooo much again!!!
I give this place a 10 out of 10 this restaurant amazed me so much. My family decided to stop in for dinner today, the atmosphere was so great and relaxing, also everyone was so happy and polite and the food was AMAZING. I usually don’t leave reviews on places but I had to for this place because I was Just so amazed by how welcoming everyone was and how delicious the food was. I ordered the crab spinach dip and the chicken parmigiana with their al vodka sauce and my fiancé ordered their chicken pepe and my 3 year old ordered their children’s chicken and French fries. I was shocked that literally everything was delicious, down to the kids meal. One thing that caught my eye that was my favorite, is the beautiful view by the water. I will definitely be coming back :)
Service was prompt and friendly, we got wings with Honey Bourbon BBQ and Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs to start, the flavor on everything was good, the homemade bleu cheese was really delicious. My girlfriend is gluten free, and they were fairly accommodating having gluten free pasta and chips instead of bread. I got the filet with Italian style mashed potatoes and broccolini with a side of pasta and fra diavolo. The broccolini was crisp and very flavorful, the potatoes were ok, and the steak was delicious, despite being slightly over cooked. The fra diavolo sauce was delicious! My girlfriends gluten free pasta was good, and the chicken that came with it was fantastic. All the drinks we had were great, and the whole restaurant has a really great atmosphere, can’t wait to come back again and sit on the patio when the weather is nicer.
I was there for a rehearsal dinner. Very good food. Everyone was kind and helpful.
We held a luncheon at Max410 at The Water's Edge, and we couldn't have been happier with how well it turned out! The whole staff, specifically Hannah, was wonderful to work with! She was quick to respond to any questions and had lots of helpful ideas to make our event special. The view of the river was beautiful and the room was so comfortable and perfect for our needs. And the food?? Still receving rave reviews from our guests! We would definitely recommend this venue for your event needs.
Had a fantastic dinner and experience at Waters Edge Lighthouse last night. We had the *not pictured* seafood bisque, Wedge Salad, Queen Cut Prime Rib cooked perfectly, and the lobster and scallop caprese. Loaded with seafood and flavor. From our server Joe being knowledgeable and attentive all night to the great food and atmosphere it definitely remains one of my favorites to go to for any occasion. Highly recommend!
We went to dinner with friends at the Waters Edge and it was a great experience. Call for reservations because it can fill up quickly. The food was amazing and the staff was one of the best around. I had a steak that was cooked to perfection but everyone at the table loved their food as well. I will definitely be coming back here again.
Katherine, our server, provided exceptional service with her attentiveness and delightful personality. Larry, the General Manager, was professional, friendly, and ensured that everything was prepared to our satisfaction. We thoroughly enjoyed the delectable lobster fondue and the flavorful lobster and shrimp carbonara. The atmosphere was serene, and we never felt rushed.
We had a private party at Max410 last night. I have to say it was a fantastic experience! Larry the manager was great. He checked on us several times and made sure everything was fine. Rebecca our server was outstanding! She was so attentive and we were a party of 21! She and the other staff were pleasant and took care of all our needs. Not only was the service wonderful but the food was super! Thanks Max410 for a lovely night!
Just went for a family dinner on my birthday. It was chilly and threatening rain so we opted to eat inside instead of the patio. Monday night so it was a relatively quiet night inside. Menu had so many solid choices it was difficult for a bunch of us to pick. My first time to this place so I chose the burger. It’s a good staple item to compare with other restaurants. It was very good. Also had lobster bisque to start. Also delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. We had birthday cake waiting at home so didn’t get to try their dessert selection but we’ll be back!! Thanks
Today was our third Saturday in a row at the cabana bar. We’ve had different bartenders each time, and each and every one was absolutely fantastic. I wish I remembered everyone’s names to single them all out! Great vibes, great staff, and drinks are fabulous. I will miss it when it ends for the season!
The service was excellent, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. I dream of the seafood risotto it is loaded with seafood. My husband wasn’t a fan of the pesto sauce on the lobster & Scallop caprese but said everything was well cooked snd the seafood was delicious. The other guest said that the lobster tail was perfectly cooked and she would choose a different meat (strip steak) next visit.
This restaurant is in a beautiful location and our table was perfect with great view of the river. We were early for our reservation so we went to have a drink at the outside bar. To comply with Covid rules and regs you have to eat when you have a drink...really liked that they had a small bites menu so you didn’t have to spend a ton or eat too much before dinner. I enjoyed the seafood risotto very much, which is impressive because I am often hit or miss on scallops...they were delicious and everything tasted fresh. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back.
It's like a vacation every time we dine here. The atmosphere is the best in the Capital Region and you can not beat their patio. The food is delicious and they have a very large menu so it's very easy to please even the pickiest of eaters. The bar serves up great cocktails and the staff is always friendly. I think the servings are a bit smaller for takeout but that's just more reason to dine-in and enjoy a great meal.
I've been coming here way more often. Met for dinner once and I've been hooked. The food is fantastic, the view and atmosphere is great. The staff is always so friendly and cool. I've done a gig here as well a few years back as a DJ and the venue was absolutely beautiful. I have become a regular and couldn't recommend them enough.
I came to Schenectady for business reasons and have not been able to explore any restaurants in the city because I am addicted to Max 410. I have eaten at this restaurant five nights in a row and am disappointed that my business trip has come to an end. Not only is the management and staff top notch but the atmosphere is the best I have experienced in years.
What a great meal. Right on the river and everything we expect from a highly rated restaurant. Keep up the great work, everyone, we will be back. That speaks volumes since we came from Arizona! Update! As promised, we came back on our way south. This time, we ate on the patio and enjoyed the river view. Our server, Madison, was wonderful, as was the entire meal.
Great food and quick service. Bill for 2 was $177 for 2 apps, 2 entrees, 4 drinks, and a 20% tip in the total. A little pricey, but we're used to it as we live in area that's a vacation destination. Small town people may find it too expensive. Very nice facility with outdoor patio dining. We ate inside and enjoyed the same Riverview through large bright windows.
I wish I could've grabbed more photos, we were in town for a long weekend and ate here 3 times, tried so many dishes on the menu, all the food was amazing, not a single complaint. The Lobster Tartines and any of the flatbreads are recommended 👌 you really can't go wrong, Everything is so good.
I had the most delicious meal that I can remember. Triple lobster pasta had chunks of lobster, lobster claw meat and a lobster tail on top. The best part was the sauce that it was served in. I've never tasted anything that good!!! The service was friendly and professional but not intrusive and the atmosphere was elegant with views of the river.
A perfect place for a celebration or a romantic dinner. Great atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, and wonderful food. Loved everything about it.
This place is a hidden gem on the Mohawk River. The food is delicious, and the presentation of the food is an artistic food delight. I had the short rib deglacer. The short rib was tender and melted in my mouth. I also had the beef barley soup, which was the soup of the day. It was freshly made, and you can taste the freshness with chunks of beef in the rich beef broth. This place feels like a luxury NYC restaurant with great pricing. The drinks are on the pricey end but worth it. We have had John as our server twice, and he never disappoints. He is always attentive and courteous. The restaurant has a nice homely dark ambiance that just feels romantic and inviting, especially during christmas time.
Beautiful location and even better food! We got the bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops, hot butter lobster roll, seafood 410, and spare rib french dip. Everything was amazing, the french dip was the best I've had! Also, the choice of sweet and savory butters with the bread basket were perfect; a sweet cinnamon and savory garlic butter! Can't wait to visit again!
First time dining last night and we were so excited about the menu. John helped us decide on the seafood risotto and the prime rib, phenomenal! As well as the crab and lobster fondue, we’ll be back for that soon! Thank you so much for a perfect date before we welcome our first baby!
Random choice to try this place, and I sure was glad I did. Was very busy at the time I went, but luckily found a seat at the bar with full menu. I started with some steamed clams. Nice and tender and great taste. Then did the Ahi Tuna Strawberry salad. Thus was well designed and executed. Happy they put the dressing on the side as I used about half of it and was perfect for me. The tangy feta was well balanced with the sweet Strawberry and the almond slivers added that other crunchy dimension. They could have offered bread with the salad, but not a big deal. Definitely a great surprise for dinner and will go back again.
Max410 is one of my favorite places to dine. I always have an excellent meal when I go. Sometimes we sit at the bar, and the bartenders are always very attentive and polite, not to mention the delicious drinks every time, they really know what they are doing 😉🍹 Love the menu options, great appetizers, tasty entrees and of course desserts. Everything is amazing. We have brought family and friends here, we recommend this establishment.
One of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had! The shrimp and scallops were the best ever, I thought my filet which I ordered medium rare was too rare but after taking a bite I realized it was exactly how I wanted it! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter John was attentive and nice.
Stopped for lunch on our way to Rivers Casino. Location is very convenient. Right on the river I can’t image how beautiful it looks in the summer. Started with their Waterfront cosmo. It was delicious. For lunch my wife got the Roasted Vegetable Salad with Chicken. She said it was very good. I had their Shrimp Po Boy with house mac salad. It was very good. Will return for their dinner menu.
Went here for my birthday dinner on a Tuesday. We made a reservation ahead of time. It was pretty busy for a weekday and we were sat right away. We got the clams bianco appetizer which was delicious. I ordered the steak tips with the mushroom sauce and added the gorgonzola crust. The steak was cooked fairly well and the sauce complimented it well. The mashed potatoes were a little bland and the vegetable medley that was served with it had some burnt vegetables in it which weren't so good. As soon as I bit into a burnt veggie the char filled my mouth and ruined my palette. I did get the tiramisu for dessert which was amazing and melted in my mouth. I do wish there was a little birthday celebration candle or something but unfortunately there wasn't. Our waitress Rebecca was very friendly and attentive.
A Gluten free haven! Many items are marked on the menu with an * asterisk to indicate gluten free. The service must have been improved over the last few months, judging by reviews from a few months ago. We were checked on frequently, dirty plates were bussed as needed water glasses refilled. That being said, drink orders were taken right away while it was a half hour before our meal order was taken and food arrived 30 minutes after that. They did bring bread and butter to snack on, which doesn't help one who is gluten free, but my husband enjoyed it. I suggest going early, about 4:30 pm for dinner in order to get a table if you don't have a reservation. It fills up quickly and it will be an hour until you eat anyway. The ambiance is classy but one can dress casually for dinner. Beautiful view of the Mohawk river from the windows. I had pecan crusted Salmon which was delicious. I like sweet foods, but if you don't, be forewarned that the pecans have a syrupy sweet coating. My husband had the scallops over risotto that he enjoyed. I included a picture of our two dishes. They had a gluten free chocolate cake (possibly a torte) available for dessert, although neither of us had room. They didn't list desserts on the menu, so I didn't pace myself according. How many times do restaurants have ANYTHING gluten free for dessert anyway? Overall, a very good meal with none of the usual anxiety we have when eating out.
We've come here several times for brunch. We love sitting by the water watching the river. Service is always wonderful and the food is always delicious. I love the Ricotta French toast! We still need to try dinner one of these days
My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner. We ordered the coconut shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious! My husband ordered the Wagyu Burger and I had the lobster roll. We substituted the fries for a house salad and I loved how they used the good greens for their salad and not iceberg. The salad dressing was very tasty too. As my husband ate about half of his burger he bit into a piece of plastic. He showed it to the waitress Brittany who then told her manager and the general manager Larry came over and apologized for this happening to us and said that he would take care of my husbands dinner and asked if he would like another one to take home. My husband was full so he said no and he then mentioned to Larry that it was my birthday and Larry said in that case our whole dinner was on him and he was very sorry this happened to us on my birthday. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was friendly and Larry was so pleasant to deal with and made it so he knew he would have us back there again. I highly highly recommend this restaurant!
We celebrated my friend's birthday, with family and friends. This is a nice location, right on the river, you can be seated outside or inside. Everyone was ordering from the menu and were happy with their food. I got lamb chops lollipops, I really enjoyed it 😋 Food was good with love, very well presented and nicely seasoned.
We had a great time at Max410. The food was delicious. We ordered steak frites and the chicken avocado burger, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our server was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The scenic views by the river added a peaceful touch to the whole meal. Definitely a spot worth visiting again!
Great atmosphere/ waterfront location, great service, topped with delicious food (decent/ large portion sizes!). What more can you ask for? We so wanted to gatekeep this location because it can get booked quickly, but the management team deserves their praises. They are very attentive and make the time to get to every table and ensure everything is to your liking. Hard to find that commitment to great service in present times. Can't wait to head back soon!
What a wonderful evening with family. We visited in the evening so the view was lost on darkness but the water view from the dinning room and outdoor seating (not open yet) is breathtaking. The bar centrally located and surrounded by two large dinning areas. We sat in the back room by fireplace. Toasty. The food, so many options. I had a surf n turf special, thinking about it four of the five of us had some sort of surf on our plate. The seafood was fresh. The steaks were tender and cooked properly and the Wagyu burger looked amazing. We had calamari to start (sorry for the half eaten plate) and that was out in minutes. So yummy fresh and crispy with a unique sauce for dipping. We can’t wait to go back!!
We went for an anniversary lunch date. Although we came a little early, our server, Andrea was nice, kind and on point. We were promptly seated and drinks were brought right away. I tried the Emma Jayne which was delish! We started with the crab cakes and beef empanadas which were absolutely delicious!!! Our main course consisted of tips and tail and the tips and shrimp. If looking for a night out for that special dinner, definitely did not disappoint!!!
We had our wedding reception here in May: so many people told us afterwards it was one of the best they had ever been to. Food is always exceptional (we are frequent diners here) and when a guest knocked over and broke our signature drinks sign, our event coordinator Taylor did her best to repair it. I love that she also let our little family dog stay during the reception. Highly recommend 💯
We sat outside overlooking the water. The weather was perfect with only a slight breeze. Let's get to what is important. The food. The triple lobster was my dish. As I'm writing this I'm having the leftovers. Still amazing. The buttery, creamy sauce with a medley of tiny yellow orange and red tomatoes, delicately cooked lobster pieces including the tail and claws with two styles of noodles was enough to make me cry tears of joy and close my eyes in silent satisfaction. My daughter had me try her gnocchi. It was tender, soft, paired with a vodka sauce and vegetable medley. I had to steal more than one bite. The service was on point given how busy it was, we were always checked on. Overall, we will be back for another family meal very soon.
So, so good. The food, the wait staff, the view. Perfect place for a birthday celebration! Returned a couple months later and was not disappointed. We had a lobster roll, superfood bowl, and Caesar salad. Yum! We also had raspberry lemon cake for dessert. I ate that too quickly, so no photo was taken.

Took elderly Mother here for lunch. I had the ceasar wrap and she had chicken sandwich. All well prepared and served promptly. West views of the Mohawk River.

Very nice location beautiful view of the water although I was there during the middle of January where everything was frozen walked in looked like a family style restaurant I ordered a burger to go wagyu burger. I was very delicious cooked just right medium everybody inside were so nice I wish I was able to stay and try some drinks but maybe next time
My family have been frequent fliers for many years from when it was the Lighthouse and now Max 410. We had many dinners , lunches and birthday parties there. We always have a lovely meal and great service. Love the atmosphere too ! We were there recently and the only negative thing I have to say is that all of our meals were room temp. The only thing that was hot was the French onion soup.
Cute place, decent view, great service. Food was pretty good for the price. Some items were still a little overly fishy tasting and some of the lobster I am guessing slightly over cooked as it kind of had rubber texture to some of it.
A really great place to have dinner, or in the summer, drinks outside, appetizers, or even a full dinner. The staff are so nice, funny and helpful. I always spend an afternoon or early dinner here when I am in town.
They have a lovely patio overlooking the river (boats with rowers kept going by). Lots of windows, and a bright airy place. They were having a birthday party in a back room. The veggie bowl was great, and even though I opted ro have grilled chicken, it would have been a substantial meal without it.
Went to celebrate a Birthday. Our waitress was exceptional, drinks. Appetizers and salads were great. Two of us ordered the rib eye steaks and were very disappointed. Way too fatty and not sure how they were cooked, but for the price, they were tough , paper thin and over charred. I thing the safe route is to order from the pub menu.
Max 410 at the Water's Edge serves up a Caesar salad and French onion soup packed with croutons, which left me slightly puzzled as both dishes were otherwise very good. However, Aunt Renee’s squash gnocchi more than made up for the initial surprise. The gnocchi was creamy, flavorful, and comforting—soft and mild, with occasional bursts of exciting flavor.
Great restaurant! I have tried a number of dishes and have 0 complaints. The calamari is one of the most substantial I've had in a long time. Their bartenders are also super friendly and willing to spark up a conversation as well as give a drink recipe a go! 2 apps ~$37 ( but large as entres at other places)
Went here last week on a date with a friend. We sat on the patio which was very nice despite it being so hot out. Our server was new, and did a good job, I appreciated that she was honest about not knowing everything yet, so when I ordered an appetizer she hadn't seen yet, I made sure to show her what it looked like and let her know how it was. She was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We expected things to be a little pricey, which was fine, only complaint would be that the appetizer I got, the chicken spedini, was very very small for the price, especially when compared to the black and bleu bruchetta my friend got which only cost $1 less and was substantially larger in size. (Both apps pictured) We had a few cocktails which were delicious. We also had the ahi tuna salad and fish and chips for our entrees, which were delicious.
Went here for the first time last night for dinner. More upscale dining with nice outdoor views of the river. The French onion soup was fantastic. It was the best part of my meal. Flavorful and made the right way. The steak was delicious as well with phenomenal mushrooms and onions flavored in a wine sauce on top. The mashed potatoes were creamy and full of garlic. This dish originally was to come with broccolini however they ean out so green beans it was. They were cooked well. The dessert which is their own “chocolate chip cookies with milk” cake sounded better than it was. It lacked flavor I was hoping for and tasted bland. I would not get again. Service was a bit slow (2.5 hour dinner) but we were a larger party of 6. I would go here again.
Their food is very hit or miss. When it is prepared correctly, it is excellent and absolutely worth the price. However, some dishes come out overcooked or lacking flavor. For example, I ordered the Oscar omelet and the eggs were significantly overcooked and very bland. The lava cake was also overcooked. That said, the bruschetta, seafood dishes, cheesecake, and drinks were all excellent and definitely stood out as highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the Christmas take home package was very underwhelming, especially for the price. It included standard green beans and potatoes with very little flavor, and beef Wellingtons that require precise cooking at home to avoid disappointing results. Overall, it felt subpar and not worth the cost. If they just tighten up how they cook some of the food items they would be a perfect 5 stars.
Dining outdoors at Max 410 at The Waters Edge was a pleasant event. It was the first evening with a break from our recent heat and humidity. Service was thorough while every table on their deck was taken. Their Roasted Beet Napoleon was exceptional and the Veal Lobster sizable. Unfortunately, my Lobster Roll was tasty but had rubbery claws. The omnipresent floor manager addressed the situation. He apologized and offered a complimentary dessert, that was accepted and delicious. We had a few cold ones in their outdoor lounge, adjacent to the boat launch. Overall, a nice alfresco experience.
Some of the best outdoor dining in the Capital Region. This spot is always a great option in the Summer when the sun is shining, with beautiful views of the Mohawk River it’s a go to when it’s warm in Schenectady. The menu is okay, and I feel like it definitely could be changed up a bit, I find I’m never really sure what to get when I come here, and there’s never an entree or appetizer that I look forward to. That being said, if it’s not warm out I don’t think I’d ever come here for dinner or drinks.

Food is always good and always have had great service. My family and I went the other night the waitress ruined our experience. We were supposed to be a 6 top but went down to a 4 top and before being sat all we could hear her say is "where is the 6 top, where is the 6 top?". Being a server myself when I go out I expect professionalism. Personally I think she treated us poorly because we weren't the 6 top she expected and because we are "younger". Anyway she didn't clear one single plate from the table all night. When we got the bill our appetizer plates and dinner plates were still in front of us. We asked to have split checks and she says "ugh this is something you tell me in the beginning" and then walked away. I know how a POS system works and to split a check in half is simple. You should keep comments like that to yourself. She ran our cards and just walked away from the table, didn't even say have a good night or anything.
Open on Sunday & Monday… might be the best thing said about Max410. Bar was understaffed and they did their best. Kitchen took a long time to get the entree out, 41min after soup was served. French onion soup, reasonable. Thin stock, no trace of sherry, and the parsley was too coarse. Chewing on parsley stem wasn’t enjoyable. Should’ve been chives or minced parsley. (I order bread & cheese on the bottom in the traditional manner from early 1900’s) Sea Bass entree with jasmine rice and veg du jour… fish was cooked properly. Rice & Veg texture was nice… however flavorless.
Not blown away. The location and restaurant is awesome. The food is lacking. It has the potential to be a great seafood place but not sure where they get the seafood or how they cook it but it'…
I write this review with a heavy heart. The Waters Edge has been a staple for us for decades. The food was always top notch and the view made you forget you were in Schenectady and not on vacation.…
The fish and chips are terrible! They have no taste and the crust is very greasy. We have eaten here previously and enjoyed it, but tonight was awful!!
We dined al fresco along the Mohawk River. Entres included hot lobster roll, crispy duck, seared scallops, shrimp poboy, lobster bread, and blackened salmon. The duck, scallops, and salm…
We had a very warm welcome to the restaurant. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We waited about 20 minutes for an outside table at 8 pm. Our server was pleasant and chatty. The view a…
Went for dinner, the food was great but the service was horrible! The waitress took forever with everything! They were not short staffed either! She kept forgetting things too! The table we sat at, the sun was in our faces, should in vest in curtains. For a restaurant like that, the service should not be that horrible, I will never go there again!
The food was way overpriced for what it was. I ordered the triple lobster, and besides the scrawny tail, I could barely find any more lobster. My wife ordered a chicken dish, which she said was bland with no seasoning. I had been building this meal up for a while, anticipating a great night out, and was thoroughly disappointed. We ate in the dining hall, which was pretty warm. Not very comfortable, and we thought possibly the air-conditioning was out. Or at the very least on very low. Our waiter seemed pretty disinterested in serving us and more preoccupied with other patrons. He barely checked on us throughout our meal. We had to ask the hostess for a bag to hold our to go trays after waiting like 10 minutes for him to bring the trays. We weren't about to wait to see when we could catch him again for a bag. Finally the parking situation was not good. We had to park in a lot behind the hotel next to a banquet hall and walk all the way around the hotel to get to the restaurant. Normally, I wouldn't complain about a walk, but my wife just had an operation that doesn't allow her to walk long distances yet, so she was gassed by the time we made it to and from our car.
We went to Max 410 for our anniversary dinner last year and ordered the Seafood 410. This was worth the higher price as it included a large Maine lobster tail, large scallops, and jumbo shrimp over rice with asparagus. We returned a couple times throughout the year and had great experiences, and decided to return yesterday for our 29th wedding anniversary. I ordered the Seafood 410 again, with the expectation of another great meal to celebrate our special occasion. To my surprise, this was not the case. The lobster tail was very small and in no way a Maine lobster. It was barely the size of a rock lobster. Bottom line, the service from Brie was great, as was the atmosphere at Max 410. I’ve attached photos. The larger lobster tail meal photo is from last year and the smaller lobster tail meal photo is from yesterday. As you can see, the meal yesterday was very disappointing compared to the previous year.
31st anniversary in booking. No one cared. Bad reaction to drink special, told server, got sick and left table. No one cared.
I was extremely disappointed in the food. I had a steak which tasted like a ball of grease and smashed potatoes which tasted very pasty. My husband had the fish and chips and the fish was under done. The staff were alright but not overly friendly. The atmosphere where the restaurant is located is very nice.
The new management is absolutely atrocious. My fiancé and I used to come here and enjoy our happy hour drinks on the patio outside, enjoying the looks of the Mohawk, but now we are rendered to stay at the bar instead because they are too lazy to bring out drinks to the patio, which the manager happily let his servers know loud enough for us to purposely hear because he couldn’t come up to us himself and explain as to why their sudden rule change. Three people I had observed went up to the bar and inquired the same question in regards to taking the flights they have available for happy hour outside, but alas, no. Will not be taking my business here again, and on my way the Shaker and Vine. ;)
Although our server was lovely the food was terrible. The app was ok, Caesar salad was salty and the prime rib was also very salty, over cooked and dry. We ordered rare and medium rare- the waitress saw and said something to us but we did not have time to wait another 40 minutes so we said we didn’t want anything else and barely ate our food, she still kept both on the bill. Spent $135 on terrible food. When your own prime rib is better than very expensive restaurants that says a lot. Ruined our anniversary but there was nothing we could do at that point. We had our wedding here 3 years ago and wanted to relive that day through the food, this was definitely not the same chef.
We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary, which was noted when I made the reservation. The staff didn't acknowledge our anniversary!! Very disappointing. The service was horrible. It took along time to place our orders and have them delivered. Our table was not cleared of appetizers or dinner dishes for over 5 minutes even though our wait staff walked by our table several times. My husband's rib eye was thin and fatty. Very disappointing anniversary dinner!
Horrible experience. Sirloin was completely flavorless, and one of the servers gave us attitude when asking for a steak knife. In a condescending tone, she said “you really cant cut that with a butter knife?” We will not be returning here.
