We were brought here as a group after a long all day workshop. The private space that they gave us was a little tight but none of us noticed because the food was so good. we had oysters and crab cakes for appetizers and I swear they were some of the freshest oysters I've ever had and hands down the best crab cake I have ever eaten (huge chunks of crab inside), so much so would that we just had to order seconds. I had the 2 pound angry crab as my main, a little spicy but super tasty and fresh! My colleagues had the lobster and Alaskan crab which they enjoyed thoroughly as well. This is one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to in the states.
Great and busy restaurant. Recommend to make a reservation. I had reservation for 12 and table ready on time. The bar is nice, they tend to get busy with table orders but they manage the rush well. The dining area is large, but the tables are serviced by a team. The appetizers are great, we order the crab cakes and tots. Everyone at the table said the food was great. I had the troll salmon that was delicious.
Had a great experience and meal here! The cioppino was amazing, I would highly recommend it and we had some delicious oysters as well. We also got the Thai curry mussels to share and they were excellent.
Attentive but not overbearing service. I had the appetizer and entree recommended by my server (house smoked salmon and black cod, respectively). The smoked salmon had a great smoke flavor and was accompanied by a potato latke, horseradish cream, and pickled onions. Solid and flavorful. The black cod was served with a Japanese shiitake mushroom broth, stir fried vegetables and bok choy, and papaya salad. Perfectly cooked fish, excellent textural contrast, and amazing broth. On the pricey side, but worth every cent.
Delicious food, creative drinks, beautiful restaurant, and great service! What more could we ask for? Oh! A central, easy-to-access location. Dined here after visiting the Chihuly Museum and garden. Absolutely loved it!
A unique restaurant, great ombiance and they really specialize in fish dishes, but has shrimp, crab, oysters, scallops! The drinks are fantastic!!!!
Our friend from far east was here in Seattle and it's become a tradition to eat and explore new restaurants. This time it was seafood time. We ordered shrimp and grits( without grits we added fries), oysters , clam chowder soup and for my husband who is veggie ordered ravioli and chilaquiles rojos (without meat). Everything was tasty and yummy and delicious.
My first dinner in Seattle with my fiance was fantastic. Michael, our server, made us feel welcomed. I asked for his recommendation and I was not disappointed. The King Salmon was incredible! My fiance enjoyed the Monkfish. I also highly recommend the Dream Lemon Bar. Excellent service!
Great, tasty food and awesome, friendly service. The decor is beautiful too!
Friendly and fast staff. Delicious food. Has a cool atmosphere and vibe. It definitely satified my seafood craving!
Quite spendy but this is absolutely epic level seafood in a seafood town. The chef's creations are inspired. Oysters prepped and presented perfectly.
Incredible flavor rainbow! Love the great menu & delectable happy hour. The oysters are the best - great selection & the pink pepper mignonette is tops!
Came here with my parents who were visiting from North Carolina. The seafood was so fresh and good. Mom and Dad left happy!
Happy hour is LIT! Oysters are $1.50 each. The oyster shucker guy is standing in the center of the bar shucking away. The ice mountain is full of oysters too. It's just beauriful. Oysters and big and PLUMP and bursting with flacorb oysters are served with classic cocktail sauce and a pink mignonette. The second item we ordered were the muscles. Oh my gosh. The muscles were soaked in lemon shallot wine sauce. Magic magical sauce. I wish the bowl was never ending. It was lemony and light. The muscles were pumping with the taste of the sea and wine sauce. I would order this again for sure. The fries were good and I dunked them in the sauce. Lastly, we had the tuna tataki, this was my least favorite of the Happy Hour items. Each piece was too cold, almost frozen so it took away from the taste. I think it was ponzu sauce and sesame topped. The pickled stuff on top was good though. I had a cocktail called Habeas Corpus. I think it was whiskey-based (Evan Williams? What's that?) and tasted a little like cherry oh, it also included ginger beer. Tasty but I wish I'd ordered something lighter to accompany the shellfish. Overall, great experience. We would've stayed ñonhee to try more items and drinks but we had a booze cruise to get to. The service was pretty good. The original bartender who helped us left and not sure what happened. Someone else closed us out. Nice place. I saw really pretty pictures online so I'll be back for the black cod.
Great food. Fantastic service. We really enjoyed our meal.
Awesome service at Bluacre, and I love the fact that they focus on fresh, sustainable seafood. They have multiple options for those that are not seafood lovers, but do yourself a favor and try their seafood.... you will not be disappointed.
Highly recommend this for your downtown Seattle seafood experience! Excellent service and the food is top notch!
Food is amazing. I ordered the Squid Chilly & Lime as a starter and it was absolutely delicious.
Culinary perfection...every.single.time. my must stop place to eat in Seattle. The crab plate was too big to finish, yay! When does that happen?
Nice place with fresh seafood. Serving was a little bit slow but food was good.
Service was fantastic and food was delicious! Might come back for Happy hour tomorrow.
Luxurious, perfect, great representation of Seattle's seafood. High price point but definitely worth the experience!
Service was great. Ordered the kumamotos and a cup of gumbo- so good.
Our dinner! I ordered the halibut with grilled vegetables and shared a delicious salad to start that had fresh dungeons crab meat on it. My sweet friend enjoyed muscles and duck/sausage gumbo. My mother dove into a crab cake with a cup of chowder and the other 1/2 of our salad. All in all this is a 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ establishment with incredible customer service. We had 2 waiters Kyle and his team mate Alex and they were spectacular!!
Very good fish and Oyster restaurant the service is great and the food is fresh and delicious the prices are not too bad for this type of restaurants in the atmosphere is very cool. The salmon with almonds and cherries was delicious And the crab cake was awesome. I would definitely come back again.
This was one of the best dining experiences ever. Our server, Dof, was simply amazing. I believe his presence and experience in the business made a good dinner a great event. The food was amazing. The venue, beautiful. Service, outstanding!
It's so good, it's unfair. I've traveled in from Chicago, and the salmon was easily the best I've had in any recent memory. Loved the crab cake as well. The decor is polished and clean and I enjoyed fun talks with the staff. The prices were also reasonable (even the drinks were done very well). I'll have to come back to Seattle soon, and this will definitely be on my list to revisit. Thanks, Blueacre!
Enjoying my negroni, oysters and seafood dish So much that I forgot to take photos! The food was delicious! The restaurant isn’t inexpensive, but it’s a lot of food and there are different price options. My seafood dish was $28, and very filling and chalk full of seafood.
Great great great and absolutely great and delicious food. The food was on point. The waitress was helpful and very nice. She kept coming around toping off drinks and asking if we needed anything. I would say the poached eggs was a little too cooked to my taste and preference but very insignificant compared to the whole experience. The ambiance is calm, quite and great place to have conversation.
Friendly, fresh, clean, inviting, amazing waiters and delicious food. Great prices, comfortable atmosphere. Green Curry mussels are devine, I could drink the sauce, it was so good. Definetly recommend to try if a tourist in the downtown area. Panna Cotta to die for.
Excellent service from our waiter John. The food was excellent! Seafood was fresh with lots of flavor. The atmosphere was very nice. We will definitely dine here again.
The halibut and salmon were perfectly seasoned and grilled. I am not big on curry and mussels but the Green Curry Penn Cove Mussels were truly amazing! I soaked up the insane sauce with the sourdough bread... I would definitely go back just for that dish.
The service was phenomenal. The oysters were delicious and fresh. I loved the cocktail menu with the brief history of some of the signature drinks. I had the Sarezac which was smooth and chilled just right. The shrimp and crab tots were a great appetizer choice. Super fresh and tasty. The black cod was the main course and it did not disappoint. Presentation was very appealing and the cod cooked to perfection. The brownie dessert was absolutely the perfect choice to end the evening. Loved it!
Visited this place twice, once for lunch and then for dinner. For lunch , we had a group of 16 people. The service was fabulous ! The Sever very professional and very friendly. The menu was great, there is something for everyone. Had the crab cakes and the salad. Really good. And very flavorful. The plate presentations were gorgeous. For dinner had the whole Dungeness crab. The plate presentation was just a masterpiece . Fabulous. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. The service at night was also fabulous. Definitely a place to visit when staying in downtown.
Great for seafood! We had an excellent meal and service. We got the king salmon and cod and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Even the kids mac and cheese was amazing. It was nice that they were kid friendly. Good selection of drinks and wine. Definitely coming back!
Dined here on a Monday night and it was relatively busy which is always a good sign. The restaurant accepts reservations. The wait staff were really friendly and have some good recommendations. Try the halibut - absolutely delicious. A lovely atmosphere with blue glass panels giving it an aquatic feel. The mains could be seen as pricey but the quality of the food is certainly worth it, especially for seafood.
Superb quality food!! I would say they could make their cocktails a little better. But I had the Black COD Fish and it sure is a MUST Try!! Good ambience and good preparation of food as well.
Always really good fresh seafood done creatively. Also pricey. Skip the fish and chips - stick with the more complex preparations for their strength.
Overall, very impressed. Blueacre is large and beautiful inside and provided great service and food - the crab cake was the best we had on our vacation. My one issue involved staff. We witnessed 2 wait staff casually standing and talking to each other for 20 minutes while others worked around them. Being a business owner, I talked to someone who appeared to be in charge. He looked at me as if he didn't really care, and we went in our way. I suggest that the owner review his staff and see who is contributing, and who is not.
Big space and a bar. Very humble staff. Great seafood options with wines and drinks. Limited vegetarian and vegan options. Great dinning experience!!!
Enjoyed happy hour specials, oysters, crab and shrimp tater tots, chicken tacos and the hummus. Food was good to great.
Great onion rings, really delicious! Awesome batter on their fish and chips but not a fan of their choice to use rockfish, not the best. Excellent tartar sauce, comfortable seating, good service (quick to fix my husbands order which came out incorrectly). Would also have liked to see some sort of slaw with the fish and chips, felt like a heavy, "fry" platter. No line for brunch on weekends which is a pleasant surprise.
Overall I thought the food was excellent. I had fish and it was cooked perfectly. Desert was also fantastic. Atmosphere was nice. Very upscale. Great service. Our server was extremely nice. But this place is also quite pricey. I would probably not have eaten here, except my company was paying the bill. If you're not on a budget, I would say go for it. However, there are surely more affordable places with equally good seafood throughout Seattle.
The Cod is ok but not super amazing. My friend ordered salmon which is much better. The service is great and overall the experience is ok.
Nice upscale restaurant. The bartender was friendly and recommended some great drinks. Seated for dinner I ordered a salmon appetizer and some oysters and my wife ordered a cup of soup along with our meals. I never received my oysters. The food that we did receive was great. Our waiter did okay, he wasn't very attentive or engaged as there is a 20% gratuity added to every check so their tip is guaranteed. There was also a large party seated next to our booth which made it very loud and hard to hear each other during our meal.
Friendly staff who had a lot of good recommendations about their wine offerings. A couple of ordered appetizers didn’t show up, but we weren’t charged for them. The portions were larger than I’d prefer and the food was forgettable. I’d rather the prices be a little lower with smaller quantities and more flavor. Overall I’m not sure the place deserves the upscale vibe it seems to have, but I’m guessing that’s probably based on location and tourist crowds.
This place is okay. It smelled a little fishy when I walked in. That's okay, but at least cover it with a garlic butter overlay scent. Service was above average and the interior decor was well put together. Seafood quality was suspect, though. It's about a step and a half above red lobster. I would go again to eat scallops and have a quick drink, but not much else.
The food here was pretty good, but you pay a premium for it. Service was decent. We were there on a busy Friday night and our server seemed to have quite a few tables to attend. As with many fine dining establishments in downtown Seattle, you have to pay if you want bread with your meal.
Came here for happy hour with my wife. Seemed like a slow day for them maybe there was 4-5 couples and groups there at the time. We just came in for oysters and beer. We were going order more then things started getting awkward... We were seated near the oyster bar area with all the ice and seafood display. A group just left and we were just getting our food. The seafood chef was talking under his breath during a great portion of our meal with some mumbling but still audible with my wife and I. There was lots of cursing. We'll say mainly unhappy things. Simply disgruntled. He was chatting with a server about the group prior and lets say it wasn't nice and we heard it during our time there. We were so uncomfortable we were just set to leave. We were enjoying the time a the start but turned sour very quickly. Very unprofessional. If workers are disgruntled please, management needs to address it respectfully right away. We wanted to enjoy a meal and the time like everyone in any sort of respectable establishment.
I took my girlfriend here for Valentines Day and feel like it was mediocre at best. Upon entering, the host was a tad less than cordial and it was pretty apparent that he wasn’t happy to be there. The same goes for the woman that showed us to our table. In a restaurant that was nearly completely empty when we were seated, the next two tables to be seated were adjacent to us. I feel like the restaurant is empty, you should spread your guests out. The food was just ok. I definitely don’t feel that the price and food were equivalent. Everything was quite bland. We ordered some crab tater tots and the lobster bisque for appetizers. I had the lobster thermidor and my girlfriend had the coho salmon. Her salmon was a bit overcooked and was covered in, as far as I could guess, canola oil. The entire bottom of the plate had a layer of oil. The seasoning on the salmon was fine, but definitely nothing special. We actually sent the lobster bisque back as it was basically just a warm liquid, no flavor. The thermidor was also quite bland as was the pilaf served with it, definitely not worth $50, maybe $20 at best. All things considered, I would absolutely not return to this restaurant for a special occasion.
