Our experience at Carmines on 5th Ave was phenomenal. From start to finish, the service was fantastic and the food was perfection. The ambiance & elegance of the restaurant makes it so comfortable and inviting. A few highlights from our meal: - Fresh bread & butter that is an incredible touch to start the meal. Most places charge for that these days but it just goes to show the level of hospitality at Carmines! - There are so many delicious appetizers that it felt impossible to pick, but we got the mista salad (very light & delicious) & house made fried bread with the most delicious pistachio-basil pesto that I have ever tasted. We soaked up every last drop with our bread! - Ravioli di Ossobuco: This just quickly became my favorite pasta dish. It was cooked perfectly, endless flavor and another example of a sauce that I couldn’t get enough of. Will be back to order this dish again and again! - Dessert: Tableside Gelato - As someone who is typically not an ice cream fan, this was INCREDIBLE. Made in house & so unbelievably delicious. I can’t wait to bring back more friends and family! 10/10 experience, food and service.
Ready for something amazing! Visit Carmines on 5th! Arrive at a beautiful front door that feels old world and elevated! Soak up the beauty and grandor upon entering. Greeted by friendly hostess. Seated quickly as we had a reservation at 6pm. The appetizers Steak Tartar and Pane Caldo had my friend asking for another. Which is quite a compliment since she does not like meat unless its cooked well done! Dinner entrees did not disappoint, we ordered 5 and shared family style as no one could make just one choice as they all sounded delicious. The flavors, textures and aromas just when we thought we tasted the best, we tasted the next! Service was such a delight with Josh and his trusted busser! Shout out to the CHEF in charge! No evening is complete unless a restaurant can top an evening off with an expert finale! DESSERT. I rate a restaurant by all the elements environment, food, service but most of all the dessert. AMAZING - go enjoy the salad, appetizer and entrees and most of all the desserts you will not be disappointed! The five of us truly enjoyed it all!
My husband and I visited Carmine’s on 5th for our anniversary last night and we had the most incredible evening. The space is stunning, we were lucky enough to be seated in the chandelier room, it was romantic and well through out. The service was incredible from the front of house, to the coat check, to the servers. They were the most professional, friendly staff. Nicole, our server, was well knowledgeable about the menu, wine pairings, and the space. She was so kind and really made our night special. The food is out of this world. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was so buttery and rich. My husband ordered the braised veal ravioli. It tastes like heaven, you could tell the sauce was made with love and it felt like the sauce was simmering for days. The food came out quickly for being so fresh. I highly recommend their craft cocktails, made with fresh ingredients. The attire was smart casual, you can definitely dress up for this space and not feel out of place. Fur coats, long dresses, etc. We were able to park in the Bank of America parking garage for a very low price of $10 for 3 hours and take the elevator up to the 1 st floor where you follow the signs for Carmine’s. For 2 cocktails, an appetizer, two entrees, and a $125 bottle of wine, the total for dinner came out to $400. An extraordinary value for the ambiance, service, and quality of food. I couldn’t recommend Carmine’s enough for a special evening out.
Absolutely incredible dining experience from start to finish. This place isn’t just an Italian restaurant, it was an experience. The duck entrée was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked with a crisp, flavorful exterior and tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat inside. Every bite was rich and balanced — easily one of the best duck dishes I’ve ever had. You can tell real care and technique went into it. Paired with an amazing glass of Pinot Noir (chef’s kiss)! And the rigatoni with marinara? Out of this world. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente, and the marinara sauce tasted fresh, vibrant, and deeply authentic — like it had been simmering all day. Simple ingredients, but executed flawlessly. Sometimes classic dishes are the hardest to perfect, and they absolutely nailed it. What truly elevated the night was our server, Charles. He went above and beyond in every way — attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, warm, and genuinely passionate about the food. He made thoughtful recommendations and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal. Service like that is rare. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine with exceptional service, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back — and asking for Charles.
As someone who’s dined here 5+ times, my recommended must-try’s: ravioli di ossobuco, lobster pappardelle, risotto of the day (can’t go wrong), panne caldo, gnocchi, tiramisu, pistachio cheesecake (when available). There’s validated parking as well as valet, and walk-ins are welcome when there’s space up at the bar or dining area - though don’t expect to roll up during peak dinner hours and be seated. Vast majority nights are now completely booked out in advance, especially with the holidays. This isn’t a small cafe, nor is it a hotel restaurant. This is an institution that brings together the best of Seattle - you’ll likely notice the architecture, design, landscaping (there’s a gorgeous olive tree centering the space), marble work, linens, flowers, fresh bread, upholstery, wood work. What you may not realize is that every detail showcases a member of this community who’s been part of a 40+ year journey to craft intimate dining experiences and serve the wonderful people of Seattle for all special occasions. The team (chef, cooks, bartenders, wait staff, hosts, expeditors, wine curator, management, valet group, etc etc) are still in the very early days of getting a massive operation running smoothly with each and every detail ironed to perfection, so some grace should be extended by any guest who wants to experience the restaurant in its first weeks. I think it should be stated here (given these are the early days) that anyone who truly wills the success of this city’s local businesses and wants to be a steward of this restaurant or any dining establishment should elect to provide feedback directly to management. This is a standard courtesy for any small business that many folks seem to disregard in favor of inflammatory negative feedback blasted on social media, especially in the early days when a single negative view can make or break the morale of those working tirelessly to get operations in motion. Whether it’s attention seeking or some other motive is beyond me. As a local resident and frequent reviewer, I prefer knowing my feedback is being delivered and received in a respectful and productive manner. This restaurant is truly a gem that the city has needed for a long time. It’s so heartwarming to see diners dressed to the nines enjoying the restaurant and making a day out of the experience - with Nordstrom bags, plans to see a show nearby, dropping in for a work lunch, celebrating a loved one’s birthday. A special thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey, especially Seattle’s families who’ve dined at the restaurants for generations. To many more wonderful meals and cherished memories!!
I had such a great dinner here! The paccheri alla vodka is incredible. Easily my favorite dish on the menu. The atmosphere is lovely, with lots of cute nooks throughout the restaurant. It’s cozy for a date night but also works perfectly for a business meeting. Delicious food and such a great vibe. I’ll be back.
Carmine’s is the kind of Italian restaurant that instantly makes you feel at home. From the moment you walk through the door, there’s a warm, welcoming energy that wraps around you. The ambiance is truly divine—soft lighting, elegant details, and a cozy atmosphere that feels both refined and comforting, making it perfect for a special night out or a relaxed dinner. The food is absolutely delicious, with rich flavors that taste authentic and thoughtfully prepared. Every dish feels made with care and pride. What truly sets Carmine’s apart, though, is the service. The staff’s attention to detail is next level—attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. They make sure every part of the experience is seamless. Carmine’s isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to savor, relax, and enjoy exceptional Italian hospitality.
Carmine’s in Seattle carries the kind of quiet charm that settles over you the moment you step inside. The space feels polished yet welcoming — soft lighting, warm wood, and that gentle hum of conversations that makes you feel like you’ve joined a room full of people savoring life one plate at a time. It’s Italian dining without the theatrics; just thoughtful cooking and a team that knows how to make you feel taken care of. I opened the meal with the Calamari Fritti (4/5). Lightly golden, crisp, and clean-tasting, it set a confident tone — not overly seasoned, not oily, just a well-executed classic that eases you into the evening. Then came the Wild Mushroom dish (4.5/5), and this one was such a pleasant surprise. The mix of textures and deep, earthy aromas felt like a forest walk translated into a plate. Every bite was layered and warm, almost meditative. But the moment the Gnocchi Ripieni (5/5) arrived, everything shifted into high gear. These soft, filled little pillows were easily the highlight of the night. They carried this gentle richness that never overwhelmed — the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes for just a second because your brain is trying to memorize the flavor. Truly outstanding. The Bistecca Tagliata (5/5) sealed the deal. Beautifully cooked, perfectly sliced, and full of that deep, savory confidence a good steak should have. You can taste the care in the sear, the seasoning, the tenderness — it’s a plate that doesn’t need to prove anything; it simply is excellent. Portions lean generous, so sharing is encouraged, but everything is balanced enough that you never feel weighed down. Service stays attentive from start to finish — warm smiles, helpful recommendations, and timing that makes the meal feel unhurried. It’s the kind of hospitality that blends into the background while quietly elevating the whole experience. Carmine’s doesn’t chase trends; it leans into quality, technique, and heart. In a city packed with Italian spots, this one stands out for its consistency and its ability to make a dinner feel like an occasion. If you’re in Seattle and craving Italian that feels both comforting and refined, Carmine’s is absolutely worth a visit. 🍷✨
Carmine’s on 5th consistently delivers the kind of classic Italian dining experience that keeps you coming back. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels timeless—warm, lively, and unmistakably Italian, with attentive service that strikes the perfect balance between polished and welcoming. The standout, without question, is the veal. Whether you order the veal parmigiana, veal piccata, or veal marsala, the preparation is exceptional. The veal is remarkably tender, expertly cooked, and full of flavor—never overworked, never dry. Each dish showcases careful technique, balanced seasoning, and sauces that complement rather than overpower the meat. It is old-school Italian done exactly right. Beyond the veal, the menu is deep and reliable, with excellent pastas, fresh seafood, and well-executed classics throughout. Portions are generous without being excessive, and everything arrives hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service at Carmine’s is another highlight—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable. It feels like a place that takes pride in long-standing relationships with both its guests and its craft. If you are looking for a true Italian staple in downtown Seattle—especially if veal is your benchmark dish—Carmine’s on 5th is as good as it gets. A must-visit for both locals and visitors who appreciate quality, consistency, and tradition.
We’ve loved going to Il Terazzo Carmine and Carmines in Bellevue for years so we were very excited to have another wonderful restaurant open. Food was delicious, service was wonderful and the atmosphere is stunning! I will definitely be coming back.
I would overall give five stars and four stars for the service just because of the time it took for the server to come and check on the table, the food was wonderful and this is my second time going there, I brought my mother-in-law and she absolutely loved it as well thank you Carmine and for the lovely experience!
I visited Bellevue and Pioneer Square, and this new spot is fantastic. The food is excellent, and the ambiance is stunning.
All of the magic you would expect from Carmines but at the new downtown location. Bar and food menu is exactly what you would expect based on the other location. Immediately located on fifth Avenue in the Bank of America Center, which is recently been remodeled and looks much improved. Very helpful to have another high-end restaurant in downtown Seattle given many have closed recently.
Incredible. The food was excellent, the burrata was both tasty and well prepared. The rigatoni bolognese was rich, flavorful, and exceeded expectations. The eggplant parmigiana was thick, flavorful, and gorgeous! The service was attentive but not overbearing, with the staff friendly and welcoming. A+!
Stopped by on my way to a show for cocktails and apps at the mini bar tucked behind the dining area. The space is beautiful. The espresso martini was 10/10. Can’t wait to take my dad, it’s a very classy Seattle experience.
The food and wine, service and ambiance was incredible! Great experience.
Best birthday dinner spot around. We had the fries with dipping sauces and Caesar salads for starters. I ordered the gnocchi filled with mozzarella, taleggio and parmesan with the pesto-cream sauce which was basically a bowl of perfect little cheese pillows.
We came here last night to celebrate a family members birthday. The restaurant is stunning and our waitress was super attentive. Our food was great as well. Cannot recommend the Panne Caldo enough, so good!
You ever leave a place and immediately think about the next time you will be able to go back? From the moment I stepped in, I could feel the magic. The decor, the service, and especially the food! Shout out to the bartender for the great drinks all night too! Couldn’t have asked for a better night out ❤️
From the valet, to the great atmosphere all the way to dessert, Carmine's 5th Ave delivers! The eggplant parmesan was terrific, and exceptionally well-made, with copious and very thin slices of eggplant and a pure, ripe tomato puree. Best I've had! Thanks. We'll be back soon -- Special shout out to the staff!
Kyle was so wonderful as a server. I just don’t know why there weren’t any dessert menus. Kyle had to recite 8+ desserts to us, and he did a great job, but a normal upscale restaurant would have their own dessert menu.
I can't say enough good things about Carmine's 5th Ave! I knew the food was going to be delicious, but the experience truly exceeded my expectations. Service was on point, and the duck was incredible, would 10/10 recommend. I can't wait to go back and enjoy.
The beautiful, warm décor (seriously wish my house looked like this) and the staff who greeted me with smiles. The appetizers and squid spaghetti special were absolutely delicious. Carmine's on 5th rekindled that love for downtown Seattle I've been missing for years, and I can't wait to return.
This was an overall 10/10 experience!!! We had such a lovely dinner -- ordering many plates to share with friends. Every single pasta and salad was absolutely delicious and the ambiance and service was fantastic. Could not recommend enough!
My first time dining here and it’s my new favorite spot! First of all, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! The staff from start to finish gave us amazing service. From the moment we walked in we felt like welcomed and appreciated! The food was some of the best Italian I’ve had as well!
Absolutely outstanding dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, elegant and authentically Italian. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and every recommendation was spot on. The food was exceptional—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and clearly made with care. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and comforting, and the presentation was beautiful. You can truly taste the tradition established by the owner. I will definitely visit again!
Went to Carmines on 5th for a work lunch with a group of nine coworkers. They did a wonderful job accommodating a large group with several requests for splitting/sharing items. Service was excellent throughout lunch. The atmosphere is unbeatable, and the location is an easy walk from the downtown business district. Food, as always, was excellent. Highly recommend for work or pleasure!
An absolutely unforgettable dining experience Carmine's 5th Ave. delivers on every level: atmosphere, food, and service. From the moment you step inside, the space is stunning. The soaring ceilings, dramatic crystal chandeliers, and warm candlelight create an elegant yet welcoming environment that immediately sets the tone for a special evening. It's refined without feeling pretentious, and impressive without being overwhelming. The food was exceptional from start to finish: Gnocco fritto -- light, airy, and perfectly crisp; we stuffed our little gnocco puffs with freshly shaved prosciutto burrata and pesto Romaine alla griglia -- beautifully grilled with just the right balance of smoke and freshness, elevated far beyond a typical salad. The dressing? Unsure what was in it but if they sold a bottle to take home I would have bought one, truly Ravioli di osso bucco -- perfectly al dente pasta paired with a deeply flavorful sauce that I'm still thinking about. This was a special at their Bellevue restaurant and I missed out so I was delighted to see it on their permanent menu here Tableside gelato with toffee caramel sauce and hot fudge -- both a show and a standout dessert, rich, creamy, and executed flawlessly. It was whipped light and airy, everyone around us was eyeing it as their dessert option! The service truly set this experience apart. Every member of the staff was attentive, polished, and thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. After our meal, the manager personally came by to check on us, which spoke volumes about the level of care and hospitality Carmine's provides. Carmine's is not just a restaurant -- it's a full dining experience. Ideal for celebrations, date nights, or anytime you want impeccable food in a truly beautiful setting. We will absolutely be back. I saw about a hundred things on the menu I have yet to try!!
The restaurant is beautiful!!! For the moment you walk in!! Service is outstanding very professional!! Very well presented from the hostess to servers!!! The food menu is incredible to see all of the different options from pastas, fish, appetizers, salads, they have a dry aged room where they dry aged their own meat, the desserts are out of this world, the make the own ice cream, which they are serving table side, My wife and I started with their French fries , they are delicious crunchy in the outside, but soft in the middle, I recommend you start with that, also we ordered the anatra confitta, which is duck confit and slow cooked pork belly, in a delicious red wine Demi reduction, for the main course, We order the bistecca Ala fiorentina, which is there dry aged porterhouse, it literally is the best steak I have ever had, also we order a pasta to share, we order the lobster pappardelle, which also is a fresh pasta they make inn house!! The lobster was perfectly cooked, and lots of lobster!! For dessert we finished with table side ice cream and it was delicious creamy, soft very well done! Thank you carmines for great date night!! We will see you soon!!!
Great meal with amazing service served in a gorgeous, romantic and airy space. We ordered the Calamari Fritti and Caesar Salad to start and then we shared the Pollo alla Vodka, Gnocchi Ripieni in the Pesto-Cream sauce and the Ravioli di Ossobuco. Everything was so delicious - we already can't wait to come back next time we are in Seattle.
Logan absolutely crushed it. It was our first time at Carmine’s and he made the whole experience next level. From the moment we sat down he brought great energy and made everything feel fun and effortless. He walked us through the menu gave great recommendations and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. You can really tell he’s passionate about his job and about making sure customers have an amazing experience. Service was 10/10 and the food was amazing. Drinks and timing were also on point. If you’re a first timer ask for Logan he’ll take care of you. We’d 100 percent come back just to have him again.
Truly cannot explain how great this place is. I feel spirited away with class and glamour the moment I walk through the door. My red wine was selected by the knowledgeable server, Lana, who took my small requests and delivered a beautiful robust dark red that I can’t pronounce the name of. I am so pleased and will be here for date night and tiramisu monthly. So easy to get to, such a good atmosphere, incredible staff. Wonderful experience.
I recently tried this restaurant and was so impressed! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. It’s clear a lot of care goes into both the food and the experience. I highly recommend giving it a try. This is officially my new go-to restaurant!
I wanted an elevated and fun dining experience for a girls night out and they delivered! Carmines restaurants always have the tastiest dishes, but I’m really leaving a review because of the amazing service. The whole experience was lovely. Everyone who helped us was warm and attentive. I look forward to coming back!
Carmine’s is an absolute gem and easily one of the best Italian dining experiences in Seattle. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, classic, and effortlessly charming. Perfect for a cozy date night or a special dinner with friends. The food is outstanding across the board. Every dish tastes thoughtfully prepared, deeply flavorful, and rooted in traditional Italian cooking. The pastas are cooked perfectly, the sauces are rich without being heavy, and the ingredients taste incredibly fresh. You can tell there is real care put into every plate. Service is just as impressive. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. The staff makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. If you are looking for timeless Italian food, great wine, and an intimate neighborhood vibe, Carmine’s is a must. Five stars. I will absolutely be back.
I’m from RI and take my Italian food very seriously and I promise you this is the best Italian in the city. Get the pane caldo, calamari, bolognese and PLEASE try a salmon dish. You cannot go wrong!!!!
Wanted somewhere special to celebrate our anniversary...instead it turned into our favorite place to celebrate everything! Food and atmosphere so curated, it's impossible to overlook. We have now been several times (took a few friends to be the ones who showed them this place). Every dish we tasted could stand alone as a testament as to why we keep coming back, but my go to is the lobster pappardelle. Just know that there are two dining areas and try to get the front one for even better ambiance. I hardly ever give reviews as I expected quality food/ambiance/service at that price point...but as all three were well exceeded...I had to jump on and give praise!
Had the best pasta of my life here for dinner. Such a great meal with expertly paired wines. The staff was excellent and the vibe was so fun. Great spot for a date-night dinner, can't recommend it enough!!
Service was amazing, food was one of the best we’ve ever had, and ambience was so romantic. We got the veal ravioli and the New York strip with the herb walnut verde to share. Will be coming back
I was very excited to try the new restaurant. Upon arrival, I was in wonderland. The lighting is spectacular and the main dining room is gorgeous. Sadly, for us, we were directed to a table in the other room. It was as if the designer gave up. It was seemingly an entirely different restaurant with OK lighting and several badly placed tables. You could see the disappointment on people’s faces when they were shown their tables. The service was very attentive, but the wait time was long. This didn’t bother me since the restaurant is new. The restrooms are located outside the restaurant and not seemingly managed by the restaurant and was very messy. You need to present a barcode to enter. I knew because my dinner date already struggled with this. It’s not clear and I had to scan my card several times before I was granted access. The food was good, but only good. I’ll definitely try it again, but will wait fir the main dining room.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and tasteful ambiance. Food was mediocre for the price, their paccheri alla vodka was salty and none of the dishes wowed. But to be fair, I went in the first week of opening, I hope the food has improved.
ambiance and vibes are great for a fine dining spot. however food quality is fluctuating. first time dining here, everything was great and server was knowledgable. came here second time for lunch and they messed up our order and didn’t do anything about it. we ordered a ribeye sandwich, medium rare, with a side of salad. it came out well-done, and no salad on the side! also we ordered truffle fries, which never came. when we asked them about it, they said the truffle fries came with the sandwich (which they never asked us if we wanted to substitute?). but also the fries were BURNT to a crisp and had no truffle, parmesan or aioli dip? a bit disappointed.
We came for dinner with a friend and were immediately welcomed by kind, inviting hosts. The space is beautiful — warm, elegant, and perfect for a relaxed night out. We started with the Gnocco Fritto, which had great texture but was slightly too salty for our taste. The fried calamari was well executed, and the Insalata Mista felt fresh, vibrant, and indulgent. The Bucatini alla Trapanese was the highlight — rich, deeply flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The pasta was perfectly firm to the bite, tasting fresh and hearty. It was so good I ordered another one to go. The fettuccine with prawns was also excellent — creamy, rich, and comforting. The filet was tender, juicy, and cooked beautifully. While the food was memorable, the service unfortunately fell short. Our waiter felt dismissive and rude, which impacted the overall experience. Overall, great food but disappointing service.
This place almost became one of my favorites because the food really fits my taste. But the service completely ruined our night. We chose this restaurant to celebrate the birthdays of all three of us, and we were so excited. At first, the staff were great. Then right after dessert was brought out-when we were about to ask to borrow a lighter to blow out the candles, a front desk staff member told us we had 5–10 minutes to leave. She kept coming back to check if we’d left, with an irritated, rude tone. We felt rushed, disrespected, and honestly looked down on, like we were being kicked out in the middle of a birthday celebration. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. The food might be good, but I don’t care! The service was disrespectful and embarrassing. I will never come back.
I went tonight with my family for dinner because of the good reviews online. The restaurant inside was beautiful and upscale the way I like. The food was disappointing because it was not as delicious as I would think this type of upscale expensive restaurant would offer. The salad was just lettuce and not enough dressing and my fetuchini had two medium sized prawns in it. My husband who loves pasta didn't even finish his plate. I would not come there again and surprised to see good food reviews from others.
I booked a reservation here for 8 for my wife’s birthday dinner. We were so excited to celebrate her. We have been to the location in Bellevue and loved it. We were very disappointed with the new location. Yes the place is beautiful when we walked in. However even with a reservation we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. The service was pretty good but the food was nothing special. I was so disappointed at the Cesar salad. A bagged salad from the grocery store is better in my opinion. The salmon pasta was average. The best tasting thing was the gnocchi. It melted in my mouth. Overall would not recommend if you want to have a delicious Italian dinner. Just good for maybe grabbing a drink and appetizers and taking photos of the vibe.
Ambience: Front of house has beautiful decor and chandeliers and provides an atmosphere of romantic and intimate dining. The back of house is for larger parties and provides an atmosphere of ballroom ball with beautiful ceiling architecture but not as appealing as the front. Service/Operations: They will hold reservations up to 15 minutes and if you try to call in they will not pick up for traffic or uber delays due to incorrect gps routes since the place is so new. They do not provide courtesy calls to check which is unusual for a marketed higher end restaurant. The service quality was lack luster while observing the majority of staff did not look like they want to be there or have high end dining service experience. The main manager even struggled opening a wine bottle and lacked hospitality training which would explain the overall standards. The service uniforms looked like repurposed science lab coats with a scouts badge sewn on the left shoulder in an attempt to portray high end blazers. The saving grace is a server in all black was the only person who seemed experience in providing expected hospitality and professionalism. The co-owner and chef made time to come and check up and received feedback which was a great gesture, but I’m not the type of diner that expects discounts, but there is a level of expectation I have give a restaurant’s price point and hype. Drinks took over an hour to arrive for our overall table which likely means they were understaff for launch. Food: For $50-$70 entrees the taste was within reason but nothing that will wow you if you have fined dined in Vancouver B.C, LA, San Diego, San Fran or New York. The presentation of food was lack luster, I think I put more level of care in the food I serve my kids. The plating choice made me recall how I’d be served food on an airplane. The presentation of food will down play the actual taste of food. Drinks: Sadly, I think Dave and busters made better drinks for the price point. I’m an old fashion and whiskey sour fanatic and the drinks are underwhelming as well for all my friends. Overall, I was disappointed as I was hyped up for the Carmine brand however this location’s soft launch was a miss besides the decor and atmosphere. For this price point, you are better off going to other local high end Italian restaurants until they polish the operations, service quality and food presentation.
Go here for the ambiance, but skip it for the food and service. Their mista salad is quite literally just lettuce. No dressing and nothing else, but just one type of lettuce in a bowl. I wish I could say something nice about our dinner, but our waiter Josh disappeared, the service manager was in the back playing on his phone, and we saw the bus boy who brought our food and removed our plates more than anyone else.
Was super excited to try this restaurant as they just opened! The food was SUPER disappointing to the point of heart break. Chicken was soggy that it felt like it was microwaved. Pork chop was super dry. But in conclusion everything lacked flavor and it tasted like a TV dinner! Super cute place and staff was great.
Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I have probably been to every fine dining establishment in the Seattle/Bellevue and am a regular at the Bellevue Carmines (1000 times betters) This was a terrible experience starting with the lady’s at the front who are so rude for no reason at all we had a schedule time and we’re still waiting for over 30 mins of that time when I approached kindly I was met with nothing but rudeness and sarcasm I don’t understand how basic customer service and communication is not common at a restaurant such as carmines. Furthermore the wait time although busy was ridiculous over 40 mins for drink and almost a hour for food and met with the same rudeness not as bad as the front but still. The food was alright the ambiance is nice. But this does not make up for the extremely poor service and how the women at the front acted. I would like to add I don’t write bad reviews in general unless experience was really that bad and that I actually wrote this it is not AI. I would suggest save your money don’t listen to the tik toks and videos Carmines Seattle is definitely a pass
