Five stars all around. Melih (spelling may be off, sorry) was the best. We would go back just to be at his table again. The chefs tasting menu was phenomenal and an experience from dish to dish that you have to explore and experience. The cocktails were also a delicious experience. I cannot recommend this location more. If you like potatoes- go here immediately!
Fantastic ambience with a fashionable crowd. The food needs a LOT of work, with the exception of desserts, which were scrumptious. I originally would have put this at 4 stars because of the food, but the service bumped it back to 5. I'm gutted I didn't get our server's name (he's a Fogo and Ascend alum), but he made our evening so wonderful with his attentiveness and anecdotes.
The service was really good. Although our main meals were delayed coming out, the wait was worth it. The food was delicious and we loved everything we ordered. The ambience was serene and cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here and will be back.
I have gone twice in the last week to give perspective. GREAT FOOD. Definitely out of the norm and they will present normal tapas dishes in new gear tasting ways. My personal hands down favorite was the octopus. INCREDIBLE. Croquetas are a must, carpaccio was very interesting, different but a great take. Scallops were good but not my personal favorite but very tender. The most boring of the bunch were both of the bread dishes. Pan con tomatoes and the jamoncillo plates were dead boring, wouldn’t recommend.
La Loba was definitely an experience to remember. We opted for the vegetarian tasting menu - something quite rare to find in the Seattle area - and it turned out to be a delightful culinary journey. The meal began with gazpacho shots that initially left a slightly odd aftertaste but slowly grew on the palate. Next came the zucchini, bell pepper, and avocado tartar - strong in flavor and perhaps not my favorite at first, yet it evolved pleasantly with each bite. From there, the courses transitioned beautifully. The mushroom ajillo, sprouted cauliflower, and pesto rigatoni were all comforting and balanced, with subtle flavors that contrasted nicely with the bold start. The dessert - strawberry granita with popcorn mousse - was the highlight of the night. It’s a daring, unique combination that absolutely works. I loved it. We also ordered the eggplant parmigiana, which was far from the typical version you find elsewhere. Wonderfully crafted, creamy, tomatoey, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, every bite was a pleasure. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, especially at around $80 for an eight-course meal, it’s an incredible value for such a refined dining experience. The ambiance is chic and upscale, making it perfect for a special evening out.
Surprising find in SLU - I hope this place starts getting more attention. My partner and I have been back a few times now, and each time is as good as the last. The Punk Caesar is a must get - super creative take on a classic dish. The cocktails here are also a highlight - have yet to have one that I did not like.
Most of the dishes in this restaurant are in the form of tapas - small plates to share. Here they were broken down into cold and hot tapas. Since the mains were way on the expensive side, we decided to get four tapas dishes. Two of them - the cold ones - were meat, and the other two hot ones were vegetarian. For the two meat ones, we had the smoked salmon montadito and the striploin carpaccio. Both have similar sentiments in that the quality was exceptional, but the size was very small. The salmon dish came on a crostini, like an open faced sandwich topped with cream cheese and smoked salmon. The fish quality was amazing - this salmon tasted incredibly fresh without being fishy at all. It's some of the best salmon I've ever had. On the striploin carpaccio on puffed bread, this had a great texture with really good cheese, but the portion of striploin was miniscule - it might have been a few grams at most. My preference tended towards the two vegetarian dishes. The first was the patatas bravas, which were large sticks of fried potatoes. These were fried so well - beautifully crispy and crazy soft on the inside. The aioli these came with was also great. The cauliflower was on the harder side, but the garlic confit sauce made this fantastic as well. For dessert, we had the deconstructed key lime pie - which is exactly what it sounds like. I can't say it's my favorite method of eating a pie, but the ingredients here are extremely well-done. From the meringue, to the temperature of the gelato and the sourness of the lime, everything is on point. It kind reminds me of eating a lime flavored yogurt with crumbs in it. Now, while the quality is fantastic - I can't say the portion sizes live up to the price. We paid $70 per person, and despite this weren't quite full afterwards. I don't think any of the dishes were super egregious - but they are each around $20 and not very large - particularly the meat based dishes. If you're paying that amount, regardless of quality, I think there should be a bit more food available. Overall, this place has some of the best quality anywhere in the city, but the price makes it a one-time experience. 8.5/10
Located in Hotel 1 ( past the bar area if you're entering through the hotel lobby) - not much parking so plan accordingly as it may be tough to find it on the street. I went to celebrate my best friend's birthday and our group had a wonderful experience. I was a big fan of the aesthetic. It was a modern contemporary bohemian vibe with ambient lighting, lush greenery, and nature inspired art. I appreciated the initial explanation of what was featured on the menu. Our main server knew exactly how to highlight everything leaving us without any questions at the end of his spiel. There was a lot of team work amongst the staff and felt that we had multiple people contributing to our fantastic dining experience. We went with the tasting menu, $85/person, which I thought was a great deal. Since it's a tapas styled menu, everyone in your group will need to be in agreement with going the tasting menu route, main courses are chosen by each individual as those are not served in a tapas fashion. All of the presentations and explanations of / how best to eat each dish were perfect. The timing in between each one was spaced out, leaving room for conversation. I got a gin based cocktail "Shrimp with the lobster tattoo". Well balanced, filled to the brim and also had a lovely presentation. I got the bucatini al ragu and my boyfriend got the beef cheek which was so tender and flavorful, perfectly paired with mashed potatoes. I overall loved the combination of flavors and depth of each dish. They curated the perfect bite in different styles and I appreciated the creative takes, they were all bursting with flavor even in a small serving. Favs were definitely the 30-Day Dry-Aged Striploin Carpaccio, Trinxat Croquetas, and the scallop crudo! They were also awarded a Michelin key recently! Definitely worth a visit for celebrations or just for funsies for fellow foodies out there.
Beautiful experience, I loved the host she was so friendly and refreshing to talk to. We talked about dresses! Our server Meghan, was also so thoughtful and knowledgeable, we we’re so lucky to have her for Galentines Day ♥️ 10/10 the food was so innovative and delicious, would love to come by again
We had a wonderful experience at La Loba while celebrating a friend's birthday. We chose the tasting menu and every course was exceptional, with balanced flavors, thoughtful ingredients, and dishes that felt both comforting and elevated. The cocktails were also fantastic, and the food and drink recommendations were completely on point. The service from Teresa made the evening even better. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, offering helpful guidance and checking in just the right amount.
Food and service were great! We ordered some cold and hot tapas and finished the night with our main dish. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for a date night or girls night. The staff were really kind and made us feel comfortable at arrival. We will definitely come back.
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The space is filled with lush indoor plants and stylish décor, creating an instantly welcoming atmosphere. Live jazz music added a lovely, cozy energy. The Spanish tapas and shareable plates were flavorful and well-executed. Service was friendly throughout, even though there were a few minor errors with our food and check. The immersive food and drink presentations made the evening feel special and unique.
We came here for my friend’s birthday and we had such an amazing time! Our waiter and the host were so nice and accommodating. We brought a cake and candles, they let us keep it their fridge and brought it out looking all nice. The food was hella good and all the staff was amazing. It was also a perfect ambiance for pictures
This place was so cute. Loved how they furnished the place and the music was pleasant and there is so much seating. The food was delicious a nice fusion of Spanish and Asian flare. We did the tasting menu which was a nice start to taste a bunch of their dishes and to share with whoever you are with.
Really lovely experience - great ambiance, service, NA cocktails and food. Our table enjoyed the tasting menu - half the table vegetarian, half not. VERY generous tapas portions. The stand outs: - the Strong Like Crab NA cocktail may have been the best NA cocktail I’ve ever had… can tell La Loba genuinely cares about delivering NA options that live up to the price and to their alcoholic counterparts. Very delicious! - all the food was very fresh and lively; very much worth the price, in fact I think they could charge more for what you get - the service is excellent. Very attentive and professional staff. - the space is absolutely stunning - popcorn mousse??! yep, had that and it was delightful The low lights: - the cauliflower dish of the vegetarian tasting menu read a bit salty for my liking; otherwise, every dish felt very balanced for me … yeah that’s really it. Solid experience. Look forward to returning and maybe checking out the fireplace and cocktail situation happening just outside the restaurant as well. Thanks La Loba for a great evening!
The best experience we had in Seattle. Everyone on staff is so funny, friendly and personable. The food is out of this world good. We had the scallop cruso, the punk Caesar salad, beef cheek, lamb loin, granita and deconstructed key lime pie. The scallop crudo and Caesar salad were my favorite, insane flavor profiles. If I lived in Washington I'd eat here as much as possible. Definitely the highlight of my trip.
We had such a wonderful experience at this Spanish restaurant in Seattle. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was truly excellent. We chose the tasting menu, which was a fantastic way to try a variety of dishes, and every course was delicious. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend it!
This is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. The food mind-blowing! The service was exemplary. The staff was both attentive and knew when to step back and let us enjoy our meal and company. I recommend the tasting menu if you’ve never been there before. You get to try 6 tapas dishes, plus a main and dessert. But do what we did and add on an order of patatas bravas- they are life changing.
My best friend and I had a wonderful dinner at La Loba. It honestly surpassed our expectations. It’s been a really long time since I loved everything a restaurant delivered. We had the menu tapas options and it was perfect. The flavors were unique, ingredients fresh, and the cooking execution was very modern. I’ve been to some of the best restaurants in the world and the food felt at that level (not to exaggerate). I send my compliments to the chef. I was really impressed by the presentation and service. Our server was wonderful and everyone was very kind. We did not feel rushed to finish our meal which was a nice added bonus. I highly recommend dinning here if you’re looking for a great restaurant experience.
A beautiful fine dining establishment with an elegant atmosphere and a lively ambiance, especially with the live entertainment during the meal. For drinks, I tried a couple of the mocktails. The Strong Like Crab mocktail leaned heavily fruity with a bold flavor profile. The “Will You Berry Me?” was more tart with a slight hint of bitterness. For the cold tapas, we ordered the scallops crudo and the smoked candy salmon. The scallops crudo was the standout! fresh with an interesting Thai-inspired seafood flavor combination that worked really well. The smoked candy salmon arrived with a dramatic smoke presentation, which added a fun and fancy touch. For the hot tapas, the octopus was excellent and pleasantly tender, not chewy like it can sometimes be at other places. The patatas bravas, served as layered potatoes, were a unique and enjoyable twist on the classic dish. I wasn’t a big fan of the trinxat croquettas however. For pasta, I would probably skip the rigatoni cacio e pepe next time since it was fairly mediocre compared to the other dishes. Service was also wonderful our server was kind and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a great spot for creative small plates, live entertainment, and a night out for either a date night or even a fun girls’ night out.
La Loba is such a hidden gem, nestled in the heart of Seattle. The vibe hits right away dim, cozy, and stylish. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for a date night or a chill birthday dinner with friends. The food was fun and good across the board. Everything came out looking great but some tasting a bit of a miss because the bold flavor pairings were not working well together. Great menu of wines and cocktail drinks. However drinks spoke more on paper than when we got them. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, which made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Overall, La Loba is just a great new spot when you want good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere without trying too hard.
This restaurant was amazing, the food to the service to the atmosphere was great. me and boyfriend came to seattle for a weekend trip and this restaurant hit all of what i was looking for in a menu. small eat plates, great cocktails and wine to presentation to an amazing atmosphere. we ate at many places during our trip and this restaurant is by far my favorite and one of the only ones i would recommend from our tastings. i personally was very happy with everything we got, we mostly ordered from the cold tapas menu. the only complaint that i have is from the Octopus, a lot of places overcook this and La Loba was not excluded. the meat was tough and very bitter. out of the 7 tapas we ordered, we both agree that this was last place. overall i would recommend for anyone that likes seafood and good drinks.
We’ve been to this hotel often for drinks, and the new setting is beautiful! They graciously gave us a 15-minute grace period when we were late. My husband was giving his car to the valet one hostess was a bit abrupt and informed me “we don’t validate valets” I wasn’t asking… but another was warm and welcoming and even walked me to the ladies’ room. The tasting menu had lovely presentation, though a couple of dishes were too salty. Great wine selection, excellent cocktails, and our waitress was super sweet. Can’t wait to see the fall tasting menu — and hoping they add some more tapas to the menu!
Eh. Solid 3.5 stars. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and posh. But the food is so mediocre. Wasn’t bad! Just not great. We went to celebrate a birthday and pretty much tried the whole menu (almost). Nothing was exceptional. Tried the scallop crudo, eggplant Parmesan, patatas bravas, caviar in eggshell, rigatoni, beef cheek, octopus, bucatini, and pistachio tiramisu. The best of those were the patatas bravas, beef cheek, and octopus but even those were just okay. Anyways, it was a good time but don’t have high expectations if you are a foodie.
We've lived in Europe and have enjoyed many Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris. A friend recommended this place, and since it was a special occasion, my husband and I ordered the tasting menu. The atmosphere, service, and even the live music were perfect. The tasting menu was perfect. However, all the dishes, from the cold tapas to the eggplant lasagna and pasta, were so salty it felt like we were eating spoonfuls of salt. We couldn't taste the aromas and had to keep drinking water, making it impossible to savor the food. The bay scallops weren't fresh; they smelled too fishy. Also, almost every dish had cheese, which made them a bit heavy. The dessert was also overly sweet. I wonder if this was just a mistake by the chef for the day. It would have been great if they had checked the seasoning before sending the food out. It was much, much saltier than the pasta we had in Italy. I hope it will be better next time.
Since we dressed up to celebrate a special occasion, my group obviously wanted to take photos by the staircase near the lobby. Yes, we had already ordered our food before stepping away briefly to take some pictures. No one explained that the dishes would be brought out one by one. We weren’t doing the prix fixe and had ordered à la carte, so we had no idea it would be served like a course-by-course tasting menu. We also saw plenty of other groups enjoying the decor and taking pictures in the same area. At one point, a server came by to let us know that the food was ready. We thanked them and continued for a short while longer since it was a celebration. Then another woman came up to us and she had blonde hair, red lipstick, wearing a gold brooch necklace with a blue sapphire. She told us our food was ready again, but with a hostile attitude, like we were causing some kind of problem by taking pictures. Her tone wasn’t friendly, and it definitely shifted the energy. We wrapped up quickly and returned to the table, only to find that just one of the five dishes had arrived. So apparently “your food is ready” meant just one plate was out. As we started eating, the same woman came by again and said, “I don’t know how to serve you since you keep taking pictures” before sharply walking away. The way she said it felt unnecessarily condescending. We were surprised by the comment, and honestly, it made the rest of the meal uncomfortable. She came around a few more times with the same cold demeanor, and we didn’t feel at ease asking for another server. Everyone else including the host and bussers were polite and welcoming, which made the contrast with her even more noticeable. Whatever excitement or “vacation” mood we had going into the night faded after that and it ruined our special occasion. I wish I hadn’t tipped her, but I did anyway since I assumed the tips were shared among staff, and the others were perfectly nice. I don’t think I’ll be returning unless someone visiting really wants to go. Parking-wise, they do offer valet, but I opted to street park and walk over. The food was fine. It’s tapas-style, so small portions meant for sharing. The hanger steak was probably the best dish (I’m surprised it was served with onion rings but the meat jtsld was delicious). And I wouldn’t order the pink salad again. The octopus appetizer only came with a small leg sadly so be prepared. The lamb only came with 3 pieces as you can see.
Steer clear - you have many, many better options for food, service, and experience at this price point. We came here on Valentine's and tried their set menu but will never come back. As context, the set menu costs $105 per person and with one drink, our total come out to almost $300. Our night started with the first appetizer: kimchi seasoned oysters. This combination just doesn't work, the sourness of the kimchi just exacerbates the fishiness of the oysters with no acidity or sweetness to ease the palate, not to mention the shell fragments hidden inside. The next appetizer was an arugula salad with an embarrassing amount of chevre as dressing. This is pretty much just plain unseasoned leaves after you finish the tinest sliver of jamon. Next was a mushy potato confit with the thinnest slice of wagyu I've ever seen. You'll see this start to be a trend, the portions are criminal and always leave you doubting why you came. It was at this point in our night when the dishes stopped coming. We waited 40 mins for the 4th appetizer and then another 20 mins each for the 5th and 6th. One of these was churros... that were limp and mushy. How do you mess up a churro!? The waiter came by once to inform us that the kitchen was slow, which we cut them some slack since it is busy for Valentine's... but come on! This is a set menu that should be streamlined and it's inexcusable for anyone to be waiting this long for mere nibbles. All the tables around us also chose the set menu and were waiting equally as long. We were 90 mins into our evening before our entrees finally arrived, and lo and behold: 2 scallops and 2 bites of steak. Maybe they intentionally keep you waiting so you feel grateful that they bring you any food at all! I will say the flavors here are great, but nothing you couldn't find at another restaurant for half the price and 2x the quantity. We ended the night with a dessert, a lemon flan cake that isn't really a flan. We stopped by for snacks at the Whole Foods downstairs since we left unsatisfied. I do give them props for presentation, the food looks delicious until you taste it and question every choice you've made that led you through the door and to this place. That's it, don't come here for your own sake.
Food was atrocious. The menu should start highlighting salt as a main ingredient if that’s gonna be the main seasoning. Had the tasting menu on suggestion from my waiter and host - worst decision ever. This place is a 0/10 food wise. Every dish tasted like a college kid’s first experiment in the kitchen. Words cannot express the disappointment with the quality of the food. But at least, I have a place to send my enemies and fake friends to punish them for any of their past wrongdoings. 0 compliments to the chef.
The first time I went there, I had a great experience, so I chose to celebrate family birthday at this restaurant. Our server's attitude kept changing. She was very impatient at first, but she was very nice to the two tables next to us, which I couldn't understand. We had to keep asking her for our drinks and food orders, and we had to go over to her to ask for things, which made me feel very unfriendly. Later, their manager came over to take care. After the manager left, she almost scared us when she came back to serve us. Her attitude changed to something scary. We ordered the tasting menu and ate for almost 3 hours. People who arrived later than us paid their bills and left. We just kept waiting and waiting. I was quite disappointed. I don't recommend ordering the tasting menu because there might be a lot of food you don't like.
