The French toast is amazing, my wife said the best she's ever had.
Although I lived on First Hill for 12 years, I never ate at Jimmy's since it's in a hotel. My husband and I decided to go there tonight since it was convenient to the hospital where we were visiting a friend. We were greeted in a friendly & welcoming manner by the bartender, the atmosphere was cozy with the lit candles on the tables, our server was professional but personable, our drinks were delicious (especiallymy martini), I enjoyed the vodka pasta and the burger with fries was a hit for my husband. For a professional yet warm atmosphere with delicious food and excellent service, I'd recommend Jimmy's in the Silver Cloud Hotel.
Such a nice atmosphere to have a meal, drink and catch a game on TV. They provide room service to the Silver Cloud Hotel. Everything was delicious from drinks to dinner to dessert. We had the sweetest waitress.
My wife and I are staying in the Silver Cloud Hotel and were blown away going to Jimmy's. We went twice yesterday and we are making sure we get in for Lunch before we check out. Seriously, this place is amazing. Relaxing and calm atmosphere. Full bar. Food is awesome. How can you go wrong?
Awesome spot in Capital Hill for happy hour (3-6; 9-close) The food and drinks here are affordable and a cozy atmosphere with tall windows and lots of natural light. The service is great and friendly but not fast. The Blackened Chicken Flatbread was amazing and would highly recommend! A classy spot
I’ve been coming here for 2 years Delicious food and friendly staff I’m gonna keep coming here
Went for late night dinner, had a little bit of everything off the happy hour menu and shared dessert for my table of 5, all left happy and full. Food, drinks, and service were great.
This restaurant is attached to a hotel. Service is kinda slow but the waiters are very nice and smiley. The main reason I gave them 5 stars is because of the burger. The patty was thick, and super juicy. The bacon was thick and very crusty. The brioche buns were fresh ans soft. The cheddar cheese was melted on top of the burger and it was the right amount. There is a layer of mustardy sauce underneath the patty which added a welcome tanginess. I loved every bit of this burger.
I've eaten here at least a dozen or more times in 2019. I love the Pasta Bolognese. Great selection of beer and cider on tap. Fun selection of house specialty cocktails. Friendly, welcoming staff.
Great All American style diner with Old school charm. Very classic and refined.
My mother and I came here for dinner and the food and service was amazing. Our waitress was very nice and helpful when it came to our questions about the menu. The lemon drop and BlackBerry limeade cocktails were also great. Food portions are generous and easy to share with another if you order a salad. We tried the blackened chicken fettuccini and it was very good. I think it would be even better with more vegetables. The desserts were great with a blackberry pie and creme brulee. I will definitely be back.
Delicious clam chowder. Hot, and prompt service. Cozy fireplace.
I frequented Jimmy's when I lived in Capitol Hill. It's great for any meal, really. I often came to brunch, but their dinner is also great. They have a cookie dessert I have always wanted to try, but I can never convince myself to choose a dessert other than the creme brulee and I've never been disappointed.
Great and quick service, they were out of a lot of things, but that makes sense in a pandemic. Our server was on top of everything, highly recommend!
The King Salmon was superb - unmatched in my culinary experiences 👌. It was prepared to perfection! It is one of the reasons we will return to the Silver Cloud Hotel and order from Jimmy's when we are in Seattle.
Enjoyed a wonderful ribeye French dip and fries that my wife and I shared. Large enough for both of us to be satisfied. Saturday and Sunday morning they had five dollar mimosas and Bloody Mary’s that we thoroughly enjoyed! The staff was prompt, professional, and friendly. The manager came up to make sure everything was going well. Large tap selection and food that had a little different flare about it. Excellent little happy hour from 3 to 530. That includes drinks and food. Don’t hesitate to stop in!
It's a hotel restaurant. Atmosphere judged accordingly. Clean and friendly and not crowded when I was there. Best gf cheeseburger I've had in Seattle in a Very Long Time. I hadn't been paying attention to food safety ratings and am very surprised at how few "Excellent" there are in Capital Hill. I walked from Republican. It took me to Jimmy's to find one. Places I already don't like I didn't check. I asked inside at a couple of bars. All I wanted was a gluten free burger, bun optional. For real, if you don't get an "Excellent" in Seattle I just can't. I've seen things. The burger was juicy and seared, the veg was fresh, even the tomato, the cheese was melty, and the bun was toasted. The side salad was clean, not wilty, and the cake was cut in very forkable triangle chunks. I'll be back for real. The price includes a Jamieson Old Fashioned. I didn't pay $30 for a burger.
I stayed at Silver Cloud Broadway but never made it to Jimmy's! My stay was Awesomeness.! So imma believer that Jimmy's would be Awesomeness as well! I'll be back soon to review agn!!!
Alex and sunny were absolutely amazing! Great service, great conversation and the food was good. Highly recommend! Alexs and sunny definitely made it worth every minute! I'm getting ready for surgery at 530am tomorrow morning and just interacting with them really was a great distraction... Thank you to both! Definitely deserve recognition
Great staff. Food is top notch. Highly recommended.
Alex is such an excellent bartender/server!!!! Upon walking into the bar area, she greeted me and my friends with a big smile and made us feel welcome. Her service is top-tier and she always checks on us to make sure that everything is up to par. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming! Will most definitely be back. <3 PS. We recommend the Wagyu burger!! Don't get the smashburger unless you want Sonic like burger!
The happy hour menu was just what I needed! Great burger, crispy fries. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Steven took good care of us. The manager came around to check on our satisfaction, too!
Our work team from Swedish Medical Center had a social hour-ish at Jimmy's yesterday after a meeting. We arrived and were immediately seated and offered menus and suggestions for appetizers and beverages. Sunny (excuse the spelling if not accurate) was a GREAT server! He is funny, helpful, responsive, and highly entertaining. His service was just what we needed! Laughter is the very best medicine! We love Jimmy's on Broadway! They are close to our First Hill hospital and it is nice to slip out of the hospital into the pampering environment of Jimmy's. My team cares for patients. Jimmy's team spoils the people who care for your loved ones at our hospital when we need a relaxing and enjoyable meal. SO happy that Jimmy's is there when we need an amazing meal, a pleasant environment, and impeccable service. Thanks, Jimmy's!
Our server was wonderful, I think her name was Kara! Caring and friendly, food is decent too.
11/9/2024 dinner Party of 4. Steven the waiter was the bomb. Food was great but the service was fantastic. They kept up with the group of pranksters and joined in the fun. Great drinks! Thanks guys. I'll be back soon!
Super impressed with the brunch! We were just looking for a brunch place near the cathedral, and we were able to easily make a reservation the day before for 10 of us. It was comfortable and not very busy or loud. I wasn't expecting a lot from the food, but it was actually the best I've had in a while! Most bacon at restaurants isn't exciting to me, but their bacon was thick and had such a great flavor. I had the buttermilk biscuit sandwich, and it was so good. Everything was fresh and tasty. I love a good breakfast potato and these were some of my favorites - soft potato on the inside, with plenty of crispy bits and green onions. My gluten-free friend really loved that she could have a real sandwich and chicken noodle soup, and they were delicious.
My breakfast this morning was delightful! I got the Ham and Caramelized onion omelette with a biscuit. Definitely pick the biscuit! My server- Kara was wonderful. Thank you for being so attentive and caring. Bloody Mary she made was delicious. I will be back!
Kara is amazing. Since I’ve moved across the street from Jimmy’s this establishment and the staff I’ve interacted with (Chris and Kara) have been nothing but a god send. Working long hours in Bellevue and being able to relax somewhere close to home here on First Hill surrounded by great people (the staff) good food and an overall welcoming experience, has given me a piece of paradise outside my professional life and my home life to go too time, again. Kara was the first staff member I met here, at Jimmy’s. Kara is the reason I’ve returned time again, on my down time. Thank you Jimmy’s. Thank you Kara.
I'm staying at the Silver Cloud and im 2 weeks out of a liver transplant. Me and my daughter have been to Jimmy's a few times. The food is wonderful and the service is excellent. Always sending me home to my room with extra iced tea. It is very hard to get a 5 star out of me. This place deserves it. Always thank yous from the staff on the way out the door right to the chef.
Service was outstanding. She got my brother in laws order completely correct! And it was alot to remember. Food was super Delicious! We were in and out in about an hour! It was fantastic!
Had Valentines dinner here. Grateful they were able to seat us without a reservation. Overall, the service and ambiance was excellent. The food was okay not great but still hit the spot 👌
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tucked into this cozy spot next to the fire and it was exactly what I needed—warm, quiet, and plenty of seating without a reservation. The atmosphere makes it feel like a hidden hideaway in Capitol Hill where you can actually have a private evening with good company. Let’s talk food: the herbed French fries (rosemary, garlic & sage) are absolutely slamming. Crispy outside, pillowy inside—hands down the star of the table. The adult grilled cheese with goat cheese & blackberry jam isn’t what you’d expect at first bite—it totally threw me off—but once I re-set my taste buds, I appreciated it as a refreshing twist. I’d try it again now that I know the vibe. Service was pleasant, not rushed, not overbearing—just the right balance. Overall, a great Capitol Hill hideaway for comfort food, good company, and a little warmth by the fire. #SeattleEats #CapitolHillSeattle #BroadwaySeattle #CapitolHillBites #GrilledCheeseGlowUp
I was staying at the Silvercloud Hotel and this restaurant is in the same building. I had dinner and a lunch here. If you are staying at the hotel you receive a free drink voucher. They had ample choices and a good variety of options to choose from. Some could be converted to V, and there were GF options. I have some dietary restrictions, and I was able to navigate just fine. The service team was friendly and attentive. Both meals arrived hot and were delicious.
We went here for the Seattle Restaurant Week. We booked a reservation ahead of the time and arrived the restaurant couple minutes early. But the host did not show up for 5 or so minutes. We thought it was gonna be a long night but our server was really attentive and helpful. The food was surprisingly good despite it is in a hotel. We over order the food.. by a lot. The portion is a good amount. Ended up boxing more than half of our food. The server was very quick on boxing the and set them nicely in a bag. Overall an enjoyable experience. 😊
I’ve lived in Seattle for many years and have passed Jimmys on broadway countless times. I finally decided to stop in and check it out, the entrance is a bit hard to find from the street. The main draw is the big windows that look into the restaurant where you can see people enjoying their meal. I found the entrance and wondered around a bit to find the host stand. When I arrived there was a sign that said “sit wherever you like” the restaurant was pretty empty and there were 3 or 4 diners in the establishment. I decided to sit near the bar because that’s where the 3 staff members I did see were gathered. I was quickly greeted by the bartender Anaya, she was very pleasant and quickly brought me menus and asked if I would like a drink to start. I asked for just an ice water and she brought one from the bar. Anaya went over the menu and her recommendations, I had asked about a few items and she had tried most of what I asked about but let me know that there were some she herself had yet to try. I ended up ordering the “Jimmy’s Rueben”. The Ruben arrived pretty quickly and was served with a side of fries and 2 pickles. The portions were a bit small compared to other restaurants in the area, the Rueben was a bit slim and was more bread than meat. The meat was also overly tough. The fries were presented in a round bowl that made them seem plentiful but the shape of the bowl was cone like making all the fries kinda sit on top of the bowl. After finishing the Rueben and fries I was still hungry and browsed the menu further and decided to order the “clam chowder fries” the clam chowder fries were a hearty portion and beautifully presented. It was very flavorful and filling. If I did decide to try Jimmy’s again I would probably just order the clam chowder fries. The best thing about Jimmy’s is the staff. Anaya was very attentive and one of the other staff members Stephen was very funny. Overall I think Jimmy’s on broadway was overly demure yet could be more mindful about portions and presentation. The layout of the restaurant it’s self was not very well thought out in terms of drawing in customers outside of the hotel patrons and the bathrooms are inside the hotel so to use the bathroom you have to walk all the way through the hotel past the front desk area. It would be helpful to have a sign at the street entrance letting people know it’s “self seat” because of the layout the bartender can’t see patrons walking in.
Came in at happy hour, the service was a wee bit slow. Didn't take too long for the staff to catch up. Order the fries! Appetizers are okay, but stick to the entrees. Wait staff, friendly. The place has a nice vibe and located, at the Silver cloud hotel, on Broadway.
Great place to eat! Food was delicious. Especially the Gouda bacon cheese dip😋. Everything was fresh and well plated, cooked to perfection. Only reason for 4 stars is because there were not many people there but food and drinks still took a while to come out. Worth the wait though.
Happy hour 3oz Glider was a great deal! Their Jimmy fries were not.
French toast was delicious, but breakfast was a bit pricey for the food. Quick service, nice atmosphere.
The service was amazingggg. Vibe was good. My cocktails ( Jimmy’s cosmo) were good. Food can be improved. Didnt like the chicken.
The staff and food deserve five stars. However, while menu changes are expected, the discrepancy between the online menu and what was actually offered in the restaurant was disappointing. This was especially frustrating because the website states that breakfast is served until 3:00 PM, which was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant for our monthly team meeting. Several items online are no longer available as well.
The food was pricey, and not that spectacular. There cocktails run about 15 dollars. If you go, I would go during the happy hour from 3pm till 6pm. You can get a draft beer for 6 dollars and 3 chicken strips for 13.
The ⭐️ for service isnt really a star. Our server was subpar, screwed up our orders, and when I went to pay for my portion of the bill, he charged my card for the whole table! Plus the automatic 20% tip they mandate is bs when the server knows this and gives subpar services.
I was staying in the adjoining hotel and came down with a cold-flu so I popped in as it was easy. Should have known it was just a bar based on the lack of people but I went ahead and ordered fish and chips because fried fish and fries are hard to mess up. Well between ordering and getting my food, I hear the waiter mocking the order to another employee. Sure they thought I couldn’t hear. And then when it comes out the fish is black (to the point a chef and/or server should have known it was beyond overcooked) and literally so hard and dry I had to force myself to eat it because I hadn’t eaten all day. Would not recommend eating anything here.
The worst (supposed) Cobb salad I ever had! I couldn’t tell if it was a Caesar or a very pour Cobb. The dressing was already on it☹️, no blue cheese, no olives a sad piece of bacon a couple cherry tomatoes about 1/4 avocado and 1 egg for $20.00 you can add Chicken for another $10.00. And to top it off $22.00 for a double house whiskey during Happy Hour the waitress should have said something about how much it was going to be, and $10.00 for a side salad which looked better than the Cobb I ordered. The Chicken Pesto had way to much oil and very heavy on the pesto my husband could only eat a few bits. Our bill was over $100.00.
As someone who’s written more reviews than I can count—ranging from fast food chains to mom-and-pop diners and even luxury restaurants with Michelin stars—I’ve learned to look beyond the plate and evaluate the entire experience. And when a place stands out, for better or worse, it’s worth writing about. The Good: The chicken noodle soup was, without a doubt, the highlight. The broth had depth, striking that balance between comforting and flavorful that only comes from someone who truly knows what they’re doing. The noodles were tender and well-cooked, and the shredded chicken was generous and satisfying. It wasn’t fancy, but it was honest. There was intention in that bowl—and that matters. The Bad: The fries. From the moment they hit the table, it was obvious something was wrong. Visibly burned, with the telltale smell of reused oil, and the first bite confirmed it: dry, hard, and bitter. This wasn’t a minor slip; it was a basic technical failure. I’ve had fries from humble food trucks that were executed with far more skill. Here, they completely missed the mark. The Ugly: When I returned the fries—not with anger, but with the reasonable expectation that the mistake would be corrected—the response was a laugh. Not the nervous kind or the courteous kind. A mocking laugh. Condescending. The kind of reaction that doesn’t belong in any kitchen, not even the most rustic. That moment, more than the food itself, was the bitterest taste of the night. Mistakes in the kitchen happen. Disrespect should never be on the menu. The Unforgivable: And here’s where the experience went from flawed to offensive: after returning the fries, they brought out another plate… equally burnt. Same issue, same attitude. No effort to fix the mistake, no gesture of goodwill. As someone who has tasted food from the streets of New York to the markets of Oaxaca, I can say this: the unforgivable thing is never the mistake—it’s the arrogant decision to repeat it knowingly. That second plate wasn’t just a culinary error. It was a statement of indifference. And that, in any kind of restaurant, is costly. ⸻ This review isn’t meant to tear down, but to call attention. Kitchens can improve. Service can grow. But for that to happen, there first needs to be a willingness to listen. And that night, unfortunately, the one ingredient most absent was humility.
Got some cheap crinkle cut fries and a burnt burger for a premium price. Igredients are different from pictures they advertise (fries, bun, lettuce, patties, coffee, etc). This is what passes for a meal?
The menu on Google is a lie. They only have smash burgers which taste like burnt old burger king but with worse ingredients. It was try and disgusting with shredded iceberg lettuce and basically thousand island dressing. The fries were unsalted.
Don't waste your time going to this place. The waiter's employees and manager are super super rude, not respectful at all and do not care what you say over the phone or in person.
I don't live in Seattle but do go to Jimmy's regularly when I'm there. I had an odd lunch experience there last week. One extremely rude member of staff who nonchalantly seated us. Then my order was incorrectly delivered and as I was explaining what was wrong with it, he snatched it away and didn't bother to listen to why it was wrong. We then had to follow up with another server at the bar to communicate what was ordered to ensure that I got the food I actually ordered. Disappointing. Even more disappointing after my family had spent a lot of money there the previous week entertaining 25 guests. Not what I expect from Jimmy's. If the server was having a bad day, that is still an unacceptable way to treat diners. If that's his usual attitude perhaps a different job may be better suited to him.
