We went to lunch on a Friday. Our server, Erica, was incredible! She offered refills, bread etc. before we ever had to ask. Very friendly and attentive! The food was fresh and piping hot! The quality is always good at the Shanandoah location. The restaurant is very clean. We will be back!

I cannot say enough good things about Babin’s Shenandoah ; a Landry’s group restaurant. The ambience, the seafood selection, the menu choices, the preparation and presentation, and the cocktails - everything was worth every penny we paid. Our server Vanessa really deserves a shout out. She was friendly, made us feel like valued guests, was patient when we took time to decide what we wanted, and helped us make the right menu selection. She’s definitely one of the best servers we had, and we eat out a lot. What I really liked was that you can choose the fish you want ( Redfish, Catfish, Snapper etc) and how you want it prepared ( Blackened, Grilled etc) Babin’s fish and menu selection is quite extensive, and if you also like Cajun dishes, then this is where you need to go. I believe Christmas Day was a busy day at this restaurant, so we are glad we went on 26th Boxing day, and got personalized and unhurried attention, though there were a fair amount of diners.

We had my sister's engagement luncheon here on a Sunday afternoon and we were not disappointed!! From the beginning of booking and throughout this process, Mary has been amazing! She was very helpful with suggesting menus, set ups, printing out special occasion menus and everything in between. On the day of the luncheon everything was set up beautifully. Mary, Vanessa, and the rest of their staff took care of us to ensure the event was successful. The bartender was excellent as well. The food was delicious and most importantly my sister and her fiancee were very pleased with the event. We will be going back very soon!

Visiting my 94 year old Uncle for his birthday. He wanted seafood. He had heard Babins was very good so we went about 8 pm. The food was fresh, presented well and quickly. The Crab bisque was exceptional as was the Greek salad. Uncle Frank loved his fried Shrimp served with onion rings and fries. We got the fresh cold oysters served on the half she'll. Uncle frank thought they were going to be fried. I loved them more than he did. I use to eat the raw as a kid. Wash the dirt off, Crack them open with a pocket knife, put some salt and pepper, cut them loose from the shell, and eat them raw. Not for everyone, We had a great time. Thanks for reading.

I had the pleasure of being served by Jade during my recent visit, and I must say, her service was outstanding! From the moment I sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed. Jade's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered great recommendations. Her positive attitude and genuine care for her customers truly made my dining experience exceptional. I will definitely be returning, and I hope to be seated in Jade's section again. This was my husband’s first time visiting them. He ordered the blackened Chicken Caesar salad Which he enjoyed. I ordered the lunch special, golden tile with the lump crab as a topping. I was going to get a pasta dish at first, but at the recommendation of Amber after her excellent description on the I made the decision to go to. I did not regret the change. The fish was cooked perfectly and was dressed in a cranky sauce with capers that was not too heavy at all! I paired it with a small Caesar salad as a side, which was a perfect portion to hold me over until the fish arrive. As a second side, I ordered potato fries, which were also Cooked well, but we had to take home as the salad and fish were very good. Our server was Amber, who was very attentive, humorous, and made excellent suggestion. I normally order my water with ice, and when she came around for refill, filled it up expertly without getting any ice into my drink from her water pitcher. I didn’t even have to remind her. She just remembered. I highly suggest that if you’re considering visiting that you ask for Amber as your server - and don’t forget to tip! We will definitely be back again. Thank you, Amber for making my husband‘s first time there an excellent experience. You are a true credit to Babin’s.

The food and service were both excellent! The seafood fondue was packed with seafood—not lacking at all. The shrimp kisses were flavorful, and the entrée portions were huge. Our server, Amber, was fantastic. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions. A great dining experience overall!

Unlike No Other

This is my 2nd visit. Both experiences have super exceeded my expectations, The food is beyond stellar, imo. This comes from a harsh food critic, being a chef in my own right. Our server was Brendon. He was charming & attentive. If you love bread pudding, PLEASE TRY THEIRS!! It knocked the socks off of me, lol!! 😆 I didn't think I'd find anything better than what I found in New Orleans, seriously. Another reviewer mentioned that it was too expensive. For $9 bucks, I promise you that it's more than reasonable. The serving is huge. At least 3 people can share it and ̈ be fully satisfied. Atmosphere is cozy & inviting, with a touch of NOLA aesthetic. They have a fresh seafood case to choose from as well.

I've never been here before. My better half wanted to come here on Valentine's Day. I met a reservation on their website. It took them 45 minutes longer than promised to get seated. I get it that they were busy, but why have a reservation and not honor it. I didn't complain or anything. I just waited patiently. I really enjoyed the food. I tried the crawfish poboy and fried shrimp. Both were really good. My server was excellent. I didn't know this place was part of Landry's.

Celebrated loved one special day. Everyone’s food was served to their liking…only disappointment was (male server) not clearing the table, refusing to refill kid drink cups (there are No kid friendly beverages offered at this location), also there was No complimentary bread with butter brought to the table for All guests… still left 35% tip and plan to return will just avoid having another experience with said server

It was a Monday early evening search for some food when we drove up to Babins for the first time. Not knowing what to expect with an empty parking lot and seating the like. Our waitress pointed out their every Monday special and pointed to the large selection of fish on the board, some I had never heard of. We ended up ordering fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and were served a small piece of French bread for the table. I was amazed at a large plate full of tomatoes circling the plate with a marinara dip in the center. I wasn't crazy about the marinara dip, only because I prefer Ranch of some sort. Next we ordered a seafood platter and crab cakes. Once again I was amazed by the number of items that came on the seafood platter and how moist and tender the crab cakes were with a tasty sauce on top. This was definitely a very satisfying meal that required a to-go box

We had reservations for a large party, but when we arrived, the restaurant already felt like it was shutting down—as if everyone was ready to go home. Not a great way to start the New Year. The gumbo arrived cold, and we had to ask for all three orders to be reheated. Who wants to eat cold gumbo? To make matters worse, my entrée—red beans and rice with sausage—was also cold, and the sausage was clearly undercooked. It had a charred exterior for presentation, but inside it was not fully cooked. The beans, rice, and sausage were all cold, and I eventually had to throw the dish away. The flavors were mediocre at best, if not outright bad, and definitely not what you would expect from an establishment like Babin’s. We’ve had much better food and service at the Katy location, but this location was hands down horrible. The service was below average, and even after the staff was made aware of the issues, nothing improved. To top it off, the salad—which comes with the meal—was the only thing served warm. Who serves a warm salad? Unfortunately, this experience ensured that we will never return to or recommend this Babin’s location. Being on vacation, this ended up being the worst part of our trip. New Year guys do better
