My husband and I love coming to the Crazy Thai for a quick lunch or dinner. The food is great for this area. The service is quick and food is always hot! One of our favorites is the Drunken chicken noodles. Delicious!

On my way back to Colonial Hills, I stopped at a random #thai restaurant, the Crazy Thai in #Sherman, #Texas. Exterior is not impressive, inside is VERY clean. I was extremely impressed with the level of clean, attention to detail. Atmosphere could use a lot of improvement, give it more cozy #Thai feel. I believe Crazy Thai is a #healthy restaurant. Second time here on day trips. 4 different meals and all absolutely excellent. Tofu perfectly friend, heat level exactly right, flavors full through the heat. Service is kind, not overwhelming and truly friendly with a good sense of humor tossed in. We will be back!

The food was very delicious! We had the dumplings (they had a special name for it), crab rangoons, edamame, onion soup (basically like a miso soup) and drunken noodles. We really enjoyed all of it! The staff was very friendly!

Update: 2nd trip, the level 5 massaman hit the spot! We had the fried shrimp cakes, massaman curry with chicken (level 4 spicy), and pad Thai with beef (level 1 spicy) This was the best damn curry I've had in years. I wish I had gotten the spiciness at a level 5. The pad Thai was great as well. The shrimp cakes had a great flavor and crispness. The service was friendly, food came out quickly, and the price was very fair. Will definitely be back. Thanks for such a great first visit.

Superb food, friendly and sooooo pleasant wait staff. It’s nothing fancy on the inside, but it’s quiet and they always have nice music playing in the background. If you’re in Sherman or driving through on I-75, it’s worth the stop on Texoma Parkway. Easy.

A hidden gem. The food is excellent and the service amazing. We had the crispy duck and hibachi chicken. Both cooked to perfection. Oh, and the spring rolls for appetizer. We will definitely come back.

Decent price, quiet atmosphere, and food was flavorful. It was spicy enough for me and still packed with taste. Drunken noodle was superb. Loved the flat noodles.

This place is amazing! We had the crab Rangoon, gyoza, sesame chicken, bbq chicken and pad Thai. No pic bc it was that good we ate it all up. Highly recommend all three of these meals will definitely be back the service was also above and beyond hidden gem! HEALTHY CHOICE love this pace every time!

My in-laws brought me here the first time and I liked it so much that I brought my family from over an hour away. The food is delicious and correct every time I've been here. The service is great and they are friendly and attentive at all times. I've never seen the place crowded, so if you're looking for great food and a quiet atmosphere you should check them out. The restaurants here usually do poorly. This restaurant will change that if patrons keep getting the same experience I did yesterday. The waitress was on point and the food was excellent. I’ll definitely be dining here again. Really interested in trying the basil duck next time.

Great service for me and for the other customers while I was there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Never waited over 10 minutes for my food. I've had the Thai Peanut with chicken off the lunch menu to go. There was plenty of chicken and it was very tender. Lots of vegetables and the rice was perfect. It came with a salad or you can get soup. The Thai Basil is so scrumptious! This restaurant is very clean and a great place to eat. It was delicious!! Great to go or eat in. Very ample servings. Such a very great place to eat at. I am not from Sherman, nor have I tried any Thai food before but the experience I had here was amazing. The wait staff is simply kind and courteous. They food was amazing as well. The spice on the food was remarkable. I dont like food that is too spicy so I got a 1 but my battles do and they got a 2, and 3 for their food, they said they they could taste the spice and it was delicious. We all left the restaurant with a fully belly and an empty plate. If you want great seasoned food please go try this place. Its absolutely amazing. I will eat here again.

Great New Thai place in Sherman. They have done a great job of transforming the old a frame restaurant into a nice dining space, great for date night. The food is very good. We can get Thai food in Sherman now! I recommend the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp. The Thai Fried Rice is also very good. Pad Thai is good... But I encourage you to try other things because Thai food is more than just Pad Thai.

Loved these vegan and gluten free drunken noodles. So delicious and flavorful! Only $12 for this and it comes with a side salad! Asked for it with peanut sauce dressing to make it gluten free and vegan! Got the spicy level 4, but it wasn’t too intense but great flavor. #sodelicious #asianfood

Nice little restaurant. The staff is very friendly, it's really clean and the food is always presented attractively. I had the massaman curry today and it was absolutely delicious. Great flavor, the perfect amount of heat and just the right amount for a good lunch. Prices are good, $8 for my curry, white rice and a house salad. The service can get a little show when they're busy, but not too bad. All in all a great place to grab a good, soothing meal.

Very good with efficient service. A little pricey for lunch but I was not disappointed. If you don't want bland, choose your spice level from 1 (low) to 5 (very). I choose 3 and it was spicy but not too bad. Will definitely come back

The curry and drunken noodles were great! The crab rangoons were pretty standard. I wish the orange sauce was more flavorful and less sweet. The owners were very kind and pricing was reasonable.

Service was great. Food was pretty good. My husband’s rice came out cold. I had the green curry and my husband had the red curry. He was happy with his. Mine had a great flavor, but I didn’t care for the chicken that was in it. It was a tad rubbery.

Boiled teriyaki chicken. Need I say more? A box less bento box with awful chicken. From frozen teriyaki sauce, no vegetables at all, just an around awful experience.

I have been a fan of this place for a long time. I always get the crab fried rice and the Bangkok fried rice with chicken. Stopped by last night and picked those up. Got home In Gainesville and opened the crab rice. To put it plainly - it STUNK. Started looking thru it and it is burned very badly. All you can smell is burnt crab and rice. Looks like after it was burned they stirred it in because the burnt spots are all through it. Opened the chicken and it does not look like it usually does. Very very yellow. Tried a bite and the curry powder is so overpowering that you can’t taste anything else. Asked for #2 heat and there is absolutely zero chili pepper in it. Yellow turmeric stains all over countertop where I sat the container. Did they change owners?? This is NOT the food that I had come to love. 32.00 for two dishes that went straight to the trash. Very disappointing!! Employees were very nice but that did not makeup for the food.

I thought there was a funky smell. Calamari, coconut soup with chicken and some type of red curry Asked for spicy 5. The food was cooked nicely and presented fair, but I thought it was really bland. I couldn't notice any heat. Asked for some extra chili sauce, it was weak, too. Not even one thai pepper on any of my plates.

BEWARE! Used chopsticks were given to me. I’ve eaten at this restaurant multiple times and it’s always been good. However, this time I ordered take out and the wooden chopsticks they gave me (which were sealed in the typical paper wrap) were actually crusty with pieces of old rice stuck to them. They were not attached like they usually are at the one end and they were clearly used. I was astonished as this has never happened to me anywhere. This really makes me question everything about eating there since something like this happened.

First off, the people are VERY nice and I can’t say a bad thing about them as people. My wife and I are from the Bay Area of CA, simply put, this food is bad! The Pan thai was almost inedibly chewy with an off putting aftertaste, the pineapple curry is from a can of some sort, and the chicken tastes like pork. We have been trying Thai restaurants for 12 years across America and this is towards, if not at the bottom. Spring rolls and peanut sauce was fresh, salad was fresh, soup wasn’t bad, but the entrees were rough to get through. It’s a 2/5 because the old man is sweet and we want to support him, but the food isn’t it.

I feel bad posting this. But I got the pineapple curry and it was the worst curry I’ve ever had. They seemed very busy and I think they had someone not show up but either way I couldn’t take more than one bite 😣.

Small portion of food and not so authentic. Too pricey. The only thing that was decent was forks and spoons. I don’t know why people so hyped about this place.

We had been told that the Crazy Thai in Sherman, Texas on Texoma Parkway was a great place with great food. Steer clear if you want anything with true flavor. We started with a bowl of Coconut Soup ($6.95) which I was somewhat excited about. My hopes were completely nullified with one sip. If you take plain coconut milk from a drinkable milk, water that down, add 2 leaves of Thai Basil ( which tastes like licorice), add 2 slices of a small raw mushroom, 2 half slivers of a piece of a slice of raw onion, and heat it up, you might get to a level of this soup. Horrid. We ordered crab Rangoon which was the best food of the evening, but not the best I have ever eaten for sure! Then we got 2 entrees that came with a choice of onion soup or house salad. We chose 1 of each. We had a 4 year old with us, who had the chicken nuggets and rice. Mediocre at best! The entrees were Pad Thai noodles ($12.99) and a vegetable stir fry with fried rice ($12.99). Let me start with the soup. Take 2 unsalted bouillon cubes, add 2 slivers of 1 raw mushroom and a teaspoon of French's crispy onions and you have the Crazy Thai Onion Soup! Hospital broth was tastier! The house salad was literally bagged salad with julienned carrots and yum yum sauce thrown on it. The iceberg lettuce released water and it was just gross. Let's move onto the entrees. The Pad Thai noodles were oddly flavored with Thai basil as well, I think. Hot, bitter, slightly pea-nutty sauce with thin over cooked noodles, raw bean sprouts, a slice of lime and a tablespoon of chopped peanuts with what seemed like boiled chicken. The other entrée, Mixed Vegetables, was actually tasty but the veggies were either canned or over cooked. We returned the coconut soup immediately and told him we did not like or want it. We still were charged $6.95. $63.00 later, we are never going back! Let me as kind as I can about the service. While it was fast, as a first time patron of this establishment and of their version of Thai food, his arrogant and lofty approach to my questions was not professional nor deserved a tip at the end of this experience. The soup price came out of the tip I would normally leave at 24%; however, I left $5.00 just because I know he is on a clock and I have waited tables before. Do not waste your time with this food. Go further north to Denison and eat at Dragon Thai & Vegetarian Cuisine. It is worth the extra 10 miles. Spend less, get more food and flavor!
