One of my favorite cafes and food. Amazing and peaceful vibe.

I went in and asked for the 'Mike's Special', and was first told that I was asking outside of breakfast hours, but then Mike himself came out of the kitchen and told me that if I really wanted his special, he'd make it for me, rules be damned. It was super yummy. Go eat at Smithneck Farms - they're nice folks and the food is good.

PIE! Best Pie Ever!!! (I bought 2 whole pies, a raspberry & an apple, to share with friends at home...) Everyone at this tiny amazing shop is fantastic! Great sandwiches, great coffee & amazing bakery. I will drive back here to Sierraville for the PIE instead of the hotsprings next time. ;)

Rustic but great food. He smokes the beef. I had the tritip. Very good!

Quick and delicious home made fare frequented by locals. Don't forget the homemade pie. We loved the breakfast burritos and scrambles. Coffees and espresso. Quickly made and served and always hot on delivery.

Small Cafe with BIG taste. Had wife and kids in tow and needed a bite to eat, early in the AM. Stopped in and was presently surprised with a GREAT breakfast! Super nice folks and really helpful with the kids.

Super friendly people and very good coffee, home-baked pastries and BBQ smoked on the premises. All this less than a mile from the best hot springs in the Sierras. How can you go wrong?

We stopped by here for lunch. Got the gluten free pastry, meatloaf salad and the pulled pork wrapped. Everything was very delicious! Glad to have found this place!

Unexpected discovery on the way through town. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. The coffee was excellent! The same goes for the breakfast burrito and sandwich.

Part of the Sierraville experience and always a stop on the way to and from the hotsprings. Sandwiches are delish and made to order and the staff is genuine. Great spot to get a picnic lunch while exiting hwy 49.

Forgot the coffee at home when visiting the hot-springs and staying at the globe, and glad I did because I discovered this gem. Fat breakfast burrito and good strong espresso on top of friendly service!

Outstanding out of the way cafe. Everything made from scratch. Get the cinnamon rolls right off the rack and oven. The customer service was so very good!

Very friendly and homey... Just like having breakfast at home with a big family and limited room.. Everything homemade and good. Felt the prices were a little steep, but that won't stop us from returning... We really felt welcome there...

Some of the very best coffee I've ever had the pleasure of partaking, with a consistency of quality unmatched in my travels. Thank you for carrying a gluten free goodie for those of us with allergies. We visit this cafe every single time we're in the area! Staff is always smiling and warm-hearted. There's real love in their coffee, and you can taste it!

A 5 star eatery for sure. Tri Tip sandwich was so tasty, juicy and filling. Had a root beer float which hit the spot. Sitting outside and just enjoying the country atmosphere and friendly people made the lunch a wonderful time. Good menu and lots to choose from.

The woman working behind the counter was top 5 friendliest server's I've ever had. The food here is fast, really tasty and cheap. Great coffee too! We came here after a night at the Sierra Hot Springs.

Wow! A mother and daughter are running this cafe, and they both exude beauty. 😇 We were thrilled to discover that they are open on Mondays. Thank you for warning us about Deadman curve. Luckily, everyone arrived safely in Sacramento. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to visit again someday.

Been coming here for years - Smithneck Farms Cafe has fantastic fresh-baked goods - scones, muffins, pies. I always get extra to-go. It is a pleasure to hang out on the wood deck in the sunshine, and have your coffee and goodies, maybe pet a dog. Will stop by for breakfast, and maybe later for lunch - the tri-tip is smoked really well, and who knew a meatloaf sandwich could be so good? Always the best meats here in ranching country. So fortunate to have these excellent small businesses.

We just stopped for some coffee after dinning at the local Mexican restaurant across the street. We definitely recommend this little cafe. Our coffees were great!!! Apparently their homemade pastries and sandwiches are delicious too. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Nice cozy Cafe, good food, highly recommend Mike's special, and breakfast sandwiches. The pulled pork was too sweet for my taste. The service is very friendly but get overwhelmed with orders. So don't come in a hurry, just relax and enjoy a nice cup of organic coffee. The outside tables are great in a sunny day.

This place is a gem on the valley. Small store on a tinny town, every morning they have freshly baked and home made pastries that are to die for. Their cinnamon rolls are great and their pies are beyond good. If on the area I strongly suggest you to make a stop here, you will appreciate it

Looking to avoid the Labor Day crowds, we headed north away from Lake Tahoe for some more remote sightseeing. On a whim, stopped here for lunch. The tri-tip and meatloaf sandwiches were really tasty and the hand dipped ice cream bar was a yummy and refreshing treat.

Awesome, quick, healthy, and yummy breakfast stop in Sierraville. They have sandwiches and pastries ready to grab or fresh cooked options that could make anyone happy from a traditional country breakfast to a more keto/paleo plate like the one in the picture. Plus they have an array of fresh coffee, tea and other beverages. Don’t drive by the corner of HWYs 89 and 49 without stopping here.

Love this friendly coffee shop. A friendly woman works hard to run this place and out smiles on her customers faces. Coffee is good, breakfast sandwich is awesome, and pastries are delicious. Sit out front on the porch and enjoy the slow life of Sierraville.

This bakery is the real deal. Nowadays, most muffins you buy are more like cake and squishy. Smithneck muffins are more old fashioned and 10 times more delicious, more like a cross between a biscuit and a scone and a muffin, with tons of fresh and plump blueberries. The cinnamon roll was also good, with a nice cinnamon-sugar crust on the top. We hung out on the patio and the table and bench seating options are nice. Only tiny thing is there were some wasps flying by -- they didn't bother us at all, but something to be aware of it you are sensitive to that concern. I can't wait to come back to try the breakfast burritoes etc!

Colorful, funky, little place. But the food was good, and the person running the one person show took good care of us. It turned out to be a great stop for lunch. Open 6 am to 4 pm, WiFi included. I'll be back.

The sandwiches are really good especially the tri-tip and smoked meatloaf. Sadly, the baked goods are not as good as they used to be. The cookies used to be big thick chewy cookies. Now they are tiny and flat. Not the same.

Great little coffee shop literally out in the middle of nowhere. Very small, but they have nice home-made goods for breakfast and their muffins are gigantic (as shown in photo). Perfect spot to hit if going or coming to the Hot Springs (literally 1/4-1/2 mile away).

After spending one night in Sierraville, we came to Smithneck Farms for a quick bit of breakfast and caffeine fix before heading home. There aren’t a ton of options in Sierraville for breakfast and this one is more of a grab and go. There is no indoor seating and only two small tables outside. My husband and I both ordered the breakfast burrito which came with eggs, cheese, sausage, and potatoes. My dad ordered the breakfast sandwich which came on an English muffin and his choice of sausage or bacon. My husband ordered a plain latte while I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. There were some breakfast, pastries, and other items, but we did not partake. All in all for a quick bite of breakfast and caffeine fix, it’s not bad. If you are looking for more of a sit down breakfast spot, I would recommend the place next-door.

Called in an order for a sandwich. The lady on the phone (who I think is the owner) was very rude like she was annoyed I was calling in an order. I asked for a veggie sandwich with no mayo and avocado. When I got there she charged me $16.50 for the sandwich and a breakfast sandwich and a small coffee. According to the menu it should have been $6, $4.50, and $2. I guess she charged me $4 to add avocado or to place the order over the phone. I didn't put the math together until I left. Then when I got to eating my sandwich the forgot the avocado and added mayo. So the $4 was to place an order on the phone. The breakfast sandwich was hard too because it was sitting there for so long. Needless to say not sure I'm going back again.

I had the tri tip sandwich. It tasted great but I got the diarrhea from hell from it. I don't know what went wrong, I've had that sammi before and I was ok. Nice honey place, great employees...I'm bummed😓.

I've never left a bad review before, but I won't come back here ever. Came in today for coffee, breakfast, and "free" internet. Don't get the burrito - it is a MICROWAVE burrito (the breakfast sandwich is also poor. The owner is loud, obnoxious, and unpleasant to be around. My wife and I were using the "free" wifi for EMAIL and before the owner left, she asked her employee to kick us out after half an hour if we didn't buy anything else. The place was NEVER full, so it's not like we were keeping someone else from having a spot.

So rude Couldn't get any answers about food or a restroom. (My main reason for stopping.) She said she didn't know where the restroom was?!?, but she was sure to ask for a tip before even starting to prepare our order. Once we paid we were directed to a porta potty out on the corner. Then she handed me my ice cold cinnamon roll. Unreal.
