Burger Express Fresh Mexican Grill

One of the tastiest burgers in town! I ordered a lettuce wrap burger with grilled onions and it did not disappoint! Service was very good and the ambiance felt happy and chill.

They serve alcohol which is always a plus, i had their California chicken salad and it wad great.

Amazing little restaurant, had a variety of food. Cheeseburger, hot dog, fries, and tortilla chips, all were so tasty. Service was great, brothers running it are so friendly. Highly recommend.

I came to try the zucchini and nachos, but also got burgers, fries, cal chicken salad. Burgers are large and comforting. Fries have a wonderful seasoning. Zucchini are tasty and crunchy. Salad was large and the chicken is Delicious! And the nachos (shredded beef) were amazing (great guacamole and pico). Need a nap now.

First time here for breakfast. Ordered Vegetable Omelet, and the breakfast special french toast. Good portions, too good! MY french toast was great! Bacon cooked perfectly. Always have enjoyed every meal at Burger Express, and the awesome staff!!!

Went here with my girlfriend and the staff were all smiles and very polite when serving us. My girlfriend ordered a veggie burrito which came with guac and veggies but no rice or beans and when we tried to order another meal for her they refused to let us pay and ended up making her another burrito custom with what she wanted in it. Staff served us at the table and the restaurant was very clean. Menu is huge and my food was great with free complimentary chips/salsa while you wait. Great experience and they really do care about their customers. This place is a hidden gem in Simi and you should definitely check it out!

Great customer service and great food. I've only had their breakfast burrito because it is so good I haven't been able to not order one. The salsa is awesome too! And it's homemade. I hear the other items on the menu are good to.

Fantastic food - best Cadillac margaritas, carnitas, and guacamole ever! But really, the kindness and caring staff are even better than the food. I’ve heard the burgers are great but I go for the carnitas!

Don't let the name of the place deceive you - way more menu options than I thought. Plenty for vegetarians, comfort Mexican food in addition to healthy options. Very friendly staff and quick with the drinks. There's a cute little full bar in the back. Shall be back!

This Family owned gem is an epic place for Mexican food, burgers, breakfast tacos and so much more. I've been coming for years and everytime I fall in love and decide that THIS new thing will become my new "usual" they suggest something different and I love that new thing even more. The prices are fair and the food is always fresh. They have house made chips and salsa which is amazing and a full bar too!

This is the place to go for a variety of delicious dishes that suits everyone. Don't let the name fool you, while their Burgers are amazing, the Mexican food is the best. They also have incredible very large Salads, a few Terriyaki plates and bowls, and Breakfast! Something for everyone. This is a must try!

I stopped by this Burger Express place this morning to grab my lunch. I looked at their menu beforehand to see what I wanted. I saw they had a turkey sandwich so I figured I would order that. I found the place easily and there was ton of parking spots. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all and I was able to put in my order for the turkey sandwich and fries. I asked what was in the turkey sandwich and the guy working the cashier said lettuce, tomatoes, turkey and onion. So I asked for no onion, too bad it doesn't already come with bacon. I only had to wait like 5 minutes for them to make my sandwich. During that time I was just checking out their indoor seating and little bar area they have. I really like the fries here and they give you a lot. I thought the turkey sandwich was okay, it didn't fill me up and I think having bacon would've help a lot.

No lie, the flavor packed torta was worth the hype and had all the right toppings. They did not skimp out on anything. It's a must try if you are in the area. I need to try the burgers next. And on the last trip they gave us a sample of the chicken fajitas which were delicious! I make a point to visit here at least once when I'm in town.

My husband has been going here since he was in his teens so glad we got to experience this great small owned business, restaurant and now they’ve expanded and have a bar, great people, amazing food and one of the experiences definitely need to check this place out if you haven’t before.

The dishes were innovative and full of flavor. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable.

I have a very simple review. “You Gotta Eat Here!” I stopped in and was warmly greeted. I started with a tasty margarita followed by chips and salsa. Next was a salad with their own unique dressing. For the main course, I chose the fajitas with chicken and steak. Delicious!!!! I topped it all off with some Deep Fried Ice Cream. Great food, friendly staff in a warm atmosphere. I will be back!

All food from here that I have ordered 😋 has been great! I mean the burgers, chicken salads with fresh avocado, shredded beef tacos, chile rellenos, chips and salsa is excellent. I recommend to many people I know in town and those who come to visit.

Don’t walk, RUN HERE!! Salsa= Incredible flavor Enchiladas Compadres = Incredible flavor Rice and beans= Incredible flavor Service= Uplifting Wait time for food when busy= so quick; 10 min I’ve honestly gone a few years without finding flavorful Mexican food. But even in the crema sauce, there are so many layers of tastes. Will definitely be driving out from LA just to come here.

When people ask where is my go to spot for Mexican food I always say Burger Express and I get the same stare, but yes, they make amazing amazing Mexican food. Armando taqueria , sizzling enchiladas, and the simi steak sandwich are my favorites. Armando the owner is always there to help. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Hidden gem. A small business that really cares about the people they serve. I stopped here for quick bite. I am impressed with the taste, quality, and price. I highly recommend.

A great place to go for Mexican food, and their menu offers a variety of other options as well. I was just a little sad nothing we ordered had any heat. No complaints otherwise, though. Especially impressed by the staff, they were so sweet and checked on us a lot. Over all its a good experience.

The best! The food is great and the service is always amazing! I have never picked something off the menu that I didn't like. My daughter loves to eat here as well, and we call in take out often. They are quick with orders, the prices are fair, and the enchiladas, tacos AND burgers... Amazing.

Had the meat lovers scramble. So very good. The next week I had the tuna sandwich, very good also.

The nachos boy I've had nachos from many places, but nobody told me that these nachos would be loaded. Actually worth eating and enjoying. The torta sandwich is great juicy. I'll swing by again.

Kinda dirty, windows extremely dirty, like caked in grease. Bugs in the Pepsi sign above the soda fountain... like literally filling my drink and I can see bugs flying in the soda machine. Just overall feels dirty. Food was meh and it was really expensive.
