Super good! Fast service, super good sushi. Less expensive than if we just went to AYCE for basically the same amount of food that we normally eat. I have an avocado allergy and our server was really attentive to that, which I greatly appreciate! We will be back :)
Awesome sushi togo! I love the Firewheel roll🔥 Great service and menu. Gomez is still there, he's the best sushi chef! Gomez has been my sushi chef for a couple decades! Go standard hotness on the Firewheel roll with extras on the side to adjust😊
if your afraid of being full, stay away, otherwise my suggestion is go there hungry. This was our first time and it was a birthday dinner, no reservations needed. We were pleasantly surprised that the "rolls" were 3 to 5 pieces more than any other place than I have ever eaten at, plus your, as I am used to pieces a half inch think, these were easily 1 inch. I got fish n chips, plus a roll and miso soup; the miso was delightful, the f n the f n c was light and glesining, almost transparent and again was the best I've had (i eat this meal at ever fish place, it's the only kind I like). The birthday person got the salmon plus a roll, the plate was cleaned like it had been licked. (we could have shared one roll & that still would have been plenty of food). At the end we mentioned it was a birthday dinner. Without hesitation they brought out a complimentary green ice-cream dessert, which I have to say was the 'chefs kiss' that wraped up our meal and evening. Total for the night: Dinner $60 + tip. We'll be back again for sure. When you visit tell them Chad sent you.
We have never dined here, so I am only reviewing from the aspect of quality and take out service. We actually clapped our hands when we were done! So delicious and could taste the ocean. I'm not a seafood person but I do enjoy some quality sushi and am very pleased with Go Fish. The preparation was outstanding as well as the front desk service area. We will continue to return!
This is our go to sushi restaurant. We eat here all the time and have had a terrific meal every time. The dishes have a creative flair and the fish is always fresh and excellent. My only complaint is that the crab is not real crab, it’s imitation unless you request real and then it’s extra. Unfortunately this limits our choices sometimes, I do wish they would use real crab.
My wife and I have been eating sushi on a regular basis for over 20 years. We've had good and bad. Go Fish is some of the best sushi we've ever had. Every piece of yellowtail is so fatty that it's like getting the belly but without paying extra for it. I especially love their Santa Barbara uni. Their Toro is great as well! Occasionally, they have live music outside, which is great!
Great time. 1st time for dinner. Server was attentive and checked in often. Food was great and prices were typical.
My husband and I went for the first time over the weekend and we were the only ones there...I was shocked considering amazing the food was! We have been hunting for good sushi in our area for a long time. Our server's name was Austin and he was so nice, informative and gave lots of really amazing suggestions that we loved. Best server we have had in a long time. We are already talking about when we can go back!
We eat here regularly when in town for work, always sit at the sushi bar and ask the chef to make us whatever he feels like. The food and service are always great.
Amazing sushi at a fun, hip and friendly place. The owners are fantastic, friendly and generous. The sushi will knock your socks off. The pink calamari is the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. We live an hour away and it is worth the drive.
The atmosphere is friendly. The wait staff were incredibly attentive and nice. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Overall, a really lovely and positive experience. Will definitely be coming back!
Took my grandbabia who is a sushi pro, the lady talked to her like she was a grown up as she placed her order. That was so cute. They were so sweet and made sure we were taken care of right away. The food was amazing as well as everyone there. Thank you for my Fantastic day with my granddaughter.
The sushi rolls are delicious, larger then other sushi places. One is all you need with miso and a tea. The service was great as well.
By far, THE BEST sushi in Simi Valley. Wonderful, attentive customer service. Fresh, YUMMY sushi. The rolls are huge. Open your mouth really wide or cut the roll in half - not kidding. And I LOVE IT. My favorite is the Spicy Dragon Roll 🐉 🍣 I’ve been here about 5 times. I don’t even care what other sushi places have to offer in this area (sorry💁♀️). This is IT🙌
We (party of 4) went on a Friday evening and they were swamped inside and out. We were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, and they would call us when a table was open. They were exactly right. In 30 minutes we got the call. We ordered some apps and then the main courses. The one thing that was dissapointing was that everyone got their food at different times. The rock cod came about 20 minutes before everyone else's main course, which was about 1 hour after we ordered. I completely understand they were packed and it is difficult to coordinate all meals. Even with the long wait and food arriving at different times they are still being rated a 5 star. The main reason for keeping 5 star is that the food was so delicious. Besides the cod, we got a few rolls and nobody was complaining about the freshness or the taste. The only complaint was they wanted more, just didn't want to have to wait for round 2. The favorite was the rattlesnake roll. We will be back, probably during the week though. It is really great to see that a Simi Valley local non-chain restaurant is thriving!
This is the best sushi spot around. From the staff to the food, everything is great. I have become a regular over the last few years and Go Fish never disappoints.
This place is fantastic!!! Best sushi in Simi Valley! The fish is always same day fresh and the service is great! The owners are incredibly kind as well. Can't go wrong with Go Fish. The gladiator roll is my favorite.
Somehow I missed their reopening but now that I have enjoyed the food, I can say it's as good as before. Some of their creative combinations are outstanding. They're great at combining multiple of my favorites like scallops on top of a combo roll and many others.
Went here for a friend’s birthday. We ordered assorted rolls, sushi, and saki. Excellent food and service.
Have been a couple times and it's always good. Will come back. The mountain was fun and the spider roll was really tasty
It's really hard to find a good place to eat these days, but this was awesome.Service was great food.It was great. It was refreshing, it tastes delicious and plenty of stuff to do nearby
The sushi is sooo good! Try it you won't regret it. Service was fast when I ordered online through their website. I recommend the Blazing Cheetos roll and the California Dreaming roll. Both have 8 pieces each. More people should know about this place!!
Yummy sushi, always fresh! Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff, good service!! Love the sushi chefs! Ben and Gomez are awesome and give the best quality you can get! Make sure to check out the quantity of what you get. The rolls are big, and not full of rice. Just the right portions. Best place in Simi!!
My wife and I love this place! They have the best sushi in Simi. Shout out to Anthony and Antonella for their great service.
First of all our waiter was outstanding! Recommended several rolls not listed on the menu, all delicious. Plus, they had TORO, best EVER! Definitely returning to try more rolls.
Best sushi is the whole world !!! They have this sauce called “ ichi “ it’s absolutely amazing . The chefs and staff are the best!!!
Excellent place, they prepared this special dish at our request on a father and daughter date, We called , Lucio and daughter sashimi plate,

This and Emon sushi are probably the 2 best sushi restaurants in the area. The portion size is wonderful here and there is a good ratio of fish to ingredients. They do not hold back on making their sushi. The atmosphere is also wonderful here. Most sushi restaurants feel like a cafeteria, rushed, loud, and tight tables. This restaurant seems to care about their atmosphere and provided one that is relaxing and fun. The service was wonderful! Very attentive with great recommendations. This might be my new spot!
So fun to eat outside in December! Loved the lobster roll! And the spicy crab wontons are my favorite! Kids meal is very reasonably priced!
Service was great, not a long wait to be seated on a busy Friday night. We were seated family of 6, menus and drink order taken within first few minutes of being seated - we already knew what we liked/wanted. told our server and they brought out just what we ordered!!! Loved them for getting it spot on- also we only like soy paper and they made sure to alway wrap our rolls in soy. We never ran out of drinks and our table was cleared every time new platters were brought to our table. Our rolls and appetizers were all so delishhhhhh…🤤😋. Thank you Go Fish for always making our dining experience a good one 😉
There are four of us who regularly meet for lunch here. We will get the lunch special, and it truly is special. The food, the atmosphere and the price makes lunch here an easy choice.

Great service. Rolls are rather large and complimentary miso soup. Heaters galore outside. Only complaint is I wish they were bigger! Glad they can expand on the patio, though.
The food is amazing here and the sushi rolls are HUGE!! I really can't fault it on its food at all. The fish taste perfect and the service is decent. The problem is the acoustics. Everythime I have been in for either lunch or dinner it has been very very noisy. To the point we have to shout across the table to hear each other. They could do with investing in something to reduce the reverb in the room. Apart from that the prices are good for the area and the food is awesome.
Our server made this good place for sushi an awesome experience. Flavorful, well prepared, and prompt delivery of food on a busy Friday afternoon. It seems like a local place, with the staff interacting with the customers graciously.

I can't eat rice which really limits my choices. The great thing about this place in that the chefs will make just about any roll I want without rice. 😀
The food was good. Got the bakes salmon roll, spicy crab cakes, and the Oceans 11. We sat outside near BWW.

The sushi was great! Getting our food took a lifetime! My friend and I were only one of 4 customers in the place And literally took forever to get our food , we had 3 different orders and they all were longer than the other getting our food to us I don't know what was up at the Sushi chefs, there were 3 of them back There , Don't know if I will go back, I'm big on customer service and one out of 10 I would give them a 3, the waiter and waitresses were great though
Don't bother calling in Friday or Saturday nights for pick up or delivery because they don't answer their phone and you can't leave a message. Then when you show up frustrated to put your order in they deny there's an issue with their phone. I even called their number while I was there so they could hear the auto message and resolve it and the waitress had the nerve to say it must have just happened when we'd been calling for two hours. When I asked to talk to the manger or owner some girl says she's the manager and a hispanic guy lies to my face saying he's the owner and they have NO intention of fixing the issue. WOW!!! I know the manager and the owner which is why I support their business but after this experience I'm happy to go back to Tomodachi along with a number of my friends that have repeatedly tried to call on the weekends having the same issue. This leads me to believe their dine in customers are more important because of bigger tips and they have no time to deal with pick up and take out customers which is insulting because I always tip well regardless.
I love sushi, and even though the people were hreat and the atmosphere was hip, the food was horrible. I mean that, horible. I ordered the fish nachos and the "mixed" fish also came with disgusting fish tendons. It was clear that they did not even go through the fish that they were putting on top of the chips. Then, when our Sushi came, it was horribly fishy tasting. My girlfriend would not even eat her Sushi and she's the least picky eater I know. Clearly, they were serving old fish. I recommend just getting your sushi somewhere else.
This is the worst sushi place ever. We get sick in December 2023 and then because I said something they banned me. That's OK as there are way better places to get sushi and not get food poisoning. The owners are also very unprofessional how they speak to customers such as myself who had been going there for a long time. I saved the proof of their nastiness. Karma is a B!!!!!
Food was SO GOOD! Unfortunately, the service was way below par. Got seated at 7, didn’t get our first round until 8:15. Made a second order, and when 9 pm came around, we asked that they cancel our second order. So disappointed. We get it, people get busy on Friday, but this could have been handled better….
Spent $100 on a to go order.. we drive 15 mins there and home when they call us to tell us that they gave us the wrong order.. they then ask us to drive back and get the correct order. By now our overpriced and hot order is cold.. so we ask for a refund. JERON told me they are unable to do that because the manager is gone?? Go fish sushi you wasted 30 mins of my time, gave me the wrong order AND STOLE $100 FROM ME. If you cannot handout the correct order or execute a refund after messing up this badly without your "boss", maybe you should just close down the restaurant for the night until someone that can handle things returns. Won't ever go back. My wife has been going here for a decade. This is my first yelp review ever! I don't complain usually, but seeing as GO FISH SUSHI STOLE $100 from me I felt compelled to. So now I am out $100 on Easter weekend and without dinner for the night. You would think they would at least come clean and let us keep the cold food and return our money but no. Greedy, overpriced and not that good of a restaurant to begin with. Should have gone to Hikari as was originally planned.
I’m shocked at how badly this place handled something as simple as a kids meal. I ordered from the kids menu – a roll with “easy rice” and fries. What came out was a tiny portion of rice with only two pieces of tempura. When I asked about the fries, the waiter (Natalia) actually came back demanding that I give the rice and veggies back so the kitchen could replace them with fries. Excuse me? Food that’s already been served should be discarded, not taken back from a child’s plate. It got worse. She later returned asking for the two small pieces of tempura off my son’s plate. My child almost cried because they were trying to take food away from him just to “fix” their mistake. That’s not just unprofessional – it’s morally wrong. On top of that, the two kids meals we ordered didn’t even come out together – they were served about 15 minutes apart. The Coke was flat. And Natalia had no clue what “easy rice” meant, assuming it meant less rice on the side, leaving my child’s plate practically empty. This place has incompetent service, poor communication, and no regard for basic customer care. Taking food back from a child’s plate is unacceptable.
We were extremely disappointed with the order this time. The tuna on top was very thin and doesn’t look fresh, unchewable fish chunks inside and outside the roll. Lemon inside the roll is unpeeled. Roll consists of rice, the other ingredients especially the fish is very little in quantity. Cut very badly 3 inch slices each Worst sushi ever. Impossible to eat.

Horrible management staff, good sushi. Chef Gomez and the sushi chefs deserve better support. “Rhy” or whoever was managing Sunday, January 11th, has terrible customer service skills. Rude, unprofessional, and poor choice of a manager for this place. This used to be my go to spot, but I will now look elsewhere. Thanks!
Have had the sushi before and it was good. However walked in randomly to just grab mochi and it took excessively longer than it should have. Was pretty pricey for mochi
