My family and I ate here last night and we had a great experience. We devoured our food too fast to take pictures but we loved our veggie nachos and avocado tacos! And of course had to check out the desserts!

Ordered a burrito, the presentation was beautiful and it tasted yummy. Great flavor, the rice was softer and tastier than most Mexican rice’s I’ve tasted. The chips n dips were also amazing ~ slight kick to salsa but I’m a wimp. BF order pastor tacos and he enjoyed them. Praying they get their liquor license soon!

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Amazing Food and Flavor! The shrimp tacos are insane good. The carne asada plate is crazy good. Oh and the nachos rock! If you have a picky eater, they have burgers as well. Do yourself a favor and hit this place up. Guaranteed you will come back again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a great time speaking with the manager at the store. I also enjoyed the food so much. I had the enchiladas suizas and I will definitely come back and get those again. The drinks are also delicious and so cheap for happy hour!

I recently dined at Mariachi Loco that left me thoroughly impressed. The flavors of the dishes were amazing. From the homemade salsa to the flavorful tacos, every bite was a delight for the taste buds. The service was equally amazing, with attentive and friendly staff adding to the overall enjoyable experience. This restaurant truly delivers a perfect blend of delectable food and delightful service, making it a must try if you haven’t already.

I've eaten a lot of good tacos around Los Angeles, but the steak Mariachi tacos from this place are the eighth wonder of the world! They are incredible, and thats no exaggeration. Plus their green salsa is also another best for me it was so good that my wife didn't even finish her whole plate before she was calling back up their asking if she could just buy a 1/2 gallon of green salsa. They waiter had to ask the owner, and the owner said just give it to them on the house. That was pretty cool. And that 1/2 gallon of salsa didn't make it through the weekend. It's that good.

Service was nice enough, just kept having to bring them back. Very happy with this place and will def return.

I highly recommend this restaurant for an outstanding dining experience. The service is exemplary, complemented by excellent food and drinks. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between comfort and vibrancy, making it suitable for any occasion. A standout feature is the live DJ on weekends, which enhances the overall atmosphere. Special commendations to Manager Brittany for her meticulous attention to detail, and to Bartenders Gerry and Kimberly for crafting amazing cocktails and exceptional service. This establishment is truly remarkable.

Step into El Mariachi Loco and you'll feel yourself transported to a colorful, bright and festive Mexican modern outpost. Where vibrant flavors, warm hospitality, and a festive ambiance combine to create a great dining experience. This new Mexican restaurant captures the essence of Mexican cuisine with its delicious authentic dishes, lively atmosphere, and friendly service. As you step through the doors you'll be greeted by a lively and colorful ambiance that immediately sets the stage for a nice dining experience. The walls are adorned with portraits depicting scenes of Mexican culture, while comfortable booths with nice tables and chairs add a little touch of charm. The bright glow of lighting casts a festive and inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for enjoying your meal with friends and family. You can immediately discern that the owners focused on creating a fine quality establishment. The Bar area looks terrific despite not being ready yet for full service. They are still waiting for their liquor license. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the cuisine. The menu boasts a good variety of authentic Mexican dishes, each bursting with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Start your meal with the irresistible guacamole. The tortilla chips are crisp and taste fresh, the ideal accompaniment to the creamy guacamole. The salsas are not strong. Smokey and flavorful but still lacking that fire that makes your palate come alive. For the main course we had the mouthwatering creamy chocolate mole chicken enchiladas, the amazing grilled fish tacos, carne asada and chicken tacos. Wow! Delicious, fresh and simply a fiesta of flavors in your mouth. Our meal was complemented by an authentic Mexican cucumber agua fresca drink. With its vibrant ambiance, attentive service and outstanding cuisine, this restaurant captures the festive spirit of Mexico and delivers it to your plate.

We came in yesterday for the first time as we heard there is now a full bar! Everything was amazing. We got the fried fish tacos to share. We asked for green salsa along with our red and both were fantastic. We also got the churros. The staff was attentive and friendly. I loved that they had a digital menu as I’ve always found hand menus to be gross. We will definitely be back to try more things on the menu!

This was my first time at Mariachi Loco Grill & Cantina, and it was a great experience. The decor is beautiful with flowers and nice lighting everywhere. My mom loved her strawberry margarita. The chips and salsa were soooo good - they season the chips nicely. I ordered the pork belly tacos and they were so full of flavor. We asked about a back room we noticed, and it looks like you can rent it out for a party of 20, which is great for birthdays or celebrations. I can see this being a great spot for happy hour after work or grabbing a drink on the weekends.

Great restaurant. The food is delicious, and the server Victor was great. He didn't even need to write down everybody's order and still got it perfect. The owner, Brittany, was so pleasant and was happy to explain the unique dishes. All of their salsas are amazing. I can't wait to go back

Shared a Mother's Day dinner with my wife Brenda and mother Pat. Margaritas were tasty (we called ahead to make sure they had a liquor license). I had the Enchilada Suizas and loved the flavor. My wife liked the Carne Asada Tacos 🌮 and my mom was amazed at the crispy Chicken Taquitos, however wished they came with more guacamole 🥑. The background music was too much of the same beat and should be mixed up with more variety. Definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food.

I was so happy to see “Mole chicken enchiladas” on the Menu which is what I had, they were pretty good and the presentation gives it a nice touch. I am a big Chips and salsa person and they did not disappoint. Host and waitress were very attentive and ask for any feedback as they just opened and they’re trying to sort things out. So please keep that in mind before giving a NEW business a negative review! It’s not easy opening a business, never the less in this economy and in a city like Simi Valley! I wish MLG&C the best and consider me a customer of yours <3

Mariachi Loco is a new Mexican restaurant that opened in Simi Valley. There has been a slew of new modern Mexican establishments to help reinvigorate the love for this standard in Southern California cuisine. The space is clean and open. Lending to an aura of being in a tropical area covered in vines and budding flowers. The salsa is good, right off the bat. Which is always a sign that the rest of the food should be equally as flavorful. You have many choices to choose from. Appetizers, salads, mains, tacos, and even some sushi to boot. They did say this was modern Mexican after all. I tried the Mariachi taco platter, which allows you to try four separate types of tacos. This was a wise decision to try and get a feel on how all their cooking styles fared. The food was flavorful and well done. The shrimp gabernador was excellent. The quesabirria was tasty and not burnt. The pork belly were my favorite, nice and crispy and still fatty. They offer brunch as well, and on weekends, there also seems to be a DJ spinning some nice Latin sounds to groove with. A month in and theyvare off to a great start establishing their name in the community.

After a bad experience on Valentine's day at a steakhouse in the Town center mall which we had dinner reservations. Sadly around 9:00 pm we were looking for a restaurant to have a meal. We were fortunate this restaurant was opened. We loved the delicious food and drinks and our server was very delightful. Our Valentine's evening ended fabulous! We left extremely satisfied 🥰

My husband had visited this place and had mentioned he wanted to take me to give it a try. Since we were in Simi Valley this weekend (Friday) for business, we took advantage and decided to have lunch. The ambiance is very welcoming and the décor is very nice. The place was also very clean. We were there right when they opened at 11am so the place very empty, which we didn't mind at all. The food was ok, I had the Enchiladas Suizas and my husband had the Carne Asada Tampiquena. The enchilads were very tasty as for the rice and beans, I think it could had tasted better. The rice was very bland, no good taste to it. The beans had an over powering smokey taste to it, not sure is that's how there're suppose to be, but I didn't mind it that much. The prices are a bit over priced but fair. As for the service, our waitress was very attentive and nice. I will defiantly give it an other try if we are ever again in Simi Valley.

Stopped by for a casual dinner and was pleasantly surprised! The bartender really knew their craft – the drinks were spot on, well-balanced, and made with care. I ordered the taco, and they didn’t disappoint – fresh, flavorful, and nicely portioned. We tried their quesobirria, camaron(shrimp), battered fish, and asada, of course. Some family members tried their sushi and Asad fries. According to my child, the fries themselves could have tasted better. The sushi was tasty. The only downside was the dessert – the ice cream had melted almost by the time it reached the table. Like soup. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind. Bathrooms were immaculate. Very clean. Overall, it's a great spot for drinks and tacos. I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic service great vibe. Food was good a little above average. They are a cantina but DO NOT serve alcohol. They said they will be soon but as of our visit they did not. The pork belly was amazing and the best dish we had. The quest fundido was delicious but the addition of chorizo would have made it over the top delicious. The Asada is not a traditional Carne Asada. It was a bit chewy and I would not get it again. The breakfast tacos were delicious. You can't go wrong giving this place a try and maybe you'll enjoy the asada more than we did. I will definitely be back once they open the bar and give other items a try.

I guess I was expecting better. I had the taco platter...the Birria is good. The carne asada okay. Pork belly tasted more like carnitas (okay if you ordered carnitas). The fish taco may be better grilled... battered there was maybe 2 small bites of fish. The refried beans were just lukewarm but tasty. My waiter was a pleasant guy but when I suggested a larger glass for soda so he didn't have to make repeated trips for refills his solution was to just eliminate the ice...lol For the prices they charge I expected more. I came in wanting fajitas but I'll be darned if I'm going to pay $28 for what I can get anywhere else in town for $22 or less. As far as atmosphere...it would have been nice if the music was background music and not drowning out all conversation. I don't think I'll be back but that's just me and my personal preferences. Most of the other reviews are very positive! Try it for yourself!

The food is more of a Chipotle experience. Serves and caters their food more towards a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. Good if you are there for the game or to have a few drinks. Okay if you're expecting restaurant size dishes. The staff were very nice and attentive.

Food was good, but the service was awful. Our drink orders were wrong. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Everyone that was working looked lost and confused. Like first day of work status. No order. Staff needs serious training and margarita tasted tequila-less.

Giving this place a 2 star only because it has cute decor. We sat in our table for almost 10 minutes before anymore came, mind you, the place was practically empty. They only had one waitress and the bartender. To start off I ordered a michelada, it was awful. Very bitter with too much tabasco. I couldn't drink it. My husband had a long day at work and was too tired for us to let them know. He traded drinks with me. An agua fresca. My husband and I decided to share the Mariachi Loco Fajitas (trio) as recommended online that looked amazing! They were awful! Nothing like the photos or videos online. They were very bland and extremely dry as if the meat had been sitting there for hours. Our waitress would disappear in the back forever. Service was a 1. She had a thick English accent, latina myself I decided to speak to her in Spanish thinking that would make things easier as she kept repeating and asking what we'd order 3x. She contributed to speak English making it a little difficult to understand her. I would not be coming back. Food, , and service needs improvement.

The food is good but the service was terrible. The waiter only had 3 to 4 tables. He was not that busy. We ordered chips and salsa and he did not bring until I asked him a second time. If you need something he ignores you until you call him even though he's right by your table. Great restaurant to have not good service.

I have been going there since it opened and the service and food has changed. I really wanted to enjoy my experience at Mariachi Loco, but unfortunately it fell far short. The birria I was served was sour (Aceda) and didn't taste fresh, which immediately made the dish inedible. I did not eat it and let the staff know right away. The table-side service was also disappointing—she not very helpful when I raised concerns. What was most frustrating is that I was still charged for the food I did not eat, despite explaining the issue. Mistakes happen in restaurants, but how they’re handled makes all the difference. In this case, there was no accountability or effort to make things right. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and improves both food quality and customer service.

Honestly, if I could leave zero stars I would. Their garlic shrimp was covered in cheese and it didn't taste like garlic. Their beans tasted like they came from a can. The rice had no flavor. My boyfriend's carne asada was over cooked. Not good.

If this could be 0 stars it would but here we go! My girlfriend and I were really excited to try this restaurant and decided to order pick up from here. I was told food would be ready for pick up in 20 mins, and instead… when I arrived 20 minutes later.. not only did I wait 10 minutes for someone to come assist me.. I was told food hasn’t been cooked yet. So… I waited for my food for 20-25 MINUTES. And now 55 minutes later, the food FINALLY comes out, and was told “oh sorry. It’s been busy.” When the restaurant only had 1 large party to serve, and I felt like I was a burden. I kept my mouth shut, grabbed my food, paid, and walked out. And to top things off, the food was AWFUL. I got a burrito that felt unflavorful and mushy, and my girlfriend got chicken fajitas that was HEAVILY oversalted, and burnt. Never coming here again. Really disappointing from here.

Waited 40 mins for the food and our chicken was undercooked (picture). We came after 8pm in a Saturday and the restaurant is not even full. The service was very slow, have to asked twice for water, twice for silverware and serving plates. The main dish came 40 minutes after we ordered. While we were waiting, we were first told there were two large orders before us, granted everyone in the restaurant had their food already. Another guy then told us there was an equipment failure in the kitchen, hence the delay. Food finally came after the long wait and our chicken was pink!!! The only bright spot is our waiter (Carlos) who tried to apologize and did what he could to make us feel better.

My boyfriend and I walked in excited to try this place out. While we were quickly seated, we quickly left due to the insanely (and uncomfortably) loud couple singing on the mic and they sounded TERRIBLE. It was so loud we couldn't even hear each other. Turn the mic down and maybe you’ll have more customers on a Saturday night.

Honestly, if I could leave zero stars I would. Their garlic shrimp was covered in cheese and it didn't taste like garlic. Their beans tasted like they came from a can. The rice had no flavor. My boyfriend's carne asada was over cooked. Not good.
