They have great prices and very good sushi! And they are incredibly fast! We've been here many times with big groups and it takes them no time at all to make over 20 rolls.

Everyone is kind and the sushi is delicious!!! My boyfriend and I have been here many times and consider this our favorite sushi restaurant. If you want quality food and service, I highly recommend Tomodachi’s!

We came with a large party that included two small kids; they gave us great service! All the food tasted fantastic. The sushi was delicious.

Absolutely amazing place for sushi. It's one of the few places in Simi that feels authentic and didn't give us a stomach ache. We have been back several times. It's our favorite and has been amazing every visit. I will continue to sing praises for this place. Everyone should visit. I don't often give 5 stars across the board for anywhere, but this place earns it every time.

After trying probably every sushi place in Simi, this is he only place we go for Sushi. Excellent quality fish. Rolls are well constructed and delicious. Amazing staff. We are always treated so well. I seriously can’t say enough about this place! If you haven’t already, give it a try - you won’t regret it!!

My family and I have been going to Tomadachi for sushi, whenever we are in town, since they first opened. I still have one of the t-shirts they gave out. The sushi and service are always great. Our favorite is the Heart Attack appetizer; Tomadachi, please change back to the original presentation of this roll. It’s still tasty in the new presentation, but not nearly as tasty as the former one. It’s also harder to eat now.

First time eating here (from out of state) and it was amazing! The owner was out helping wait tables and his son was serving and they were both very nice! Food was excellent. I love sushi and it's a 10/10 from me!!

One of the best sushi places I have ever eaten at. Garlic soybeans are the perfect starter, tempura peppers are fun, sexy salmon roll I have to order multiple to stop everyone fighting over them. Staff is quick and friendly. Worth going out of your way to try it out

I went back this week and realized this place is a rare gem out here in Simi Valley. The servers are excellent and the diversity in fresh sushi is amazing. I tried kumamoto oysters for the 1st time here. I dare you to find them at another sushi place close by. Or even a steak house. On special are fishes that many high end pricey, and frankly over touted due to celebrity influence do not even offer. Not everything is perfect. A few dishes are at the pedestrian level, but the fun is trying them out and finding the absolutely amazing dishes lurking on the menu. Their Monk Fish pate salad is amazing. Especially when served warmed. I've had fishes there I've not seen offered anywhere else. I'm almost scared to say how much I like them for fear of not being able to get a table again, but they really should be experienced just once.

Paired it with a cold Kirin beer 🍺—just perfect. Service was excellent—our waiter was attentive, friendly, kept our table clean, and made helpful suggestions. Still one of my top spots for sushi and seafood in Simi Valley. Highly recommend! 🙌

I only got pictures of the fried matcha ice cream, which was delicious. My daughter is an avid lover of sushi so I had to focus on eating mine before it vanished before my eyes. She is already making plans to go again, which means the sushi was much to her liking (and mine).

Top quality, and I am incredibly picky having experiened the best in Japan over the years. Everyone else in my group really enjoyed their meals as well. There was not a single thing wrong. But above the excellent food was the quality of the service. Everyone there made us feel so welcome, and was always available to ensure we had the best experience. When my father was looking at the ginseng sake at the bar, we were even offered a sample without having to ask. Everyone had a smile and a truly positive attitude. Even if the food were not as good, I would be back for the service alone. They now have an eager customer for life. I look forward to my next visit!

This our new go to Sushi place. The fish is always fresh, the food is delicious and affordable. The staff is always very friendly. The only negative I could say is the decor is very blah. But the food and service more than make up for it. I ordered the Togyu special, Toro sashimi and seared Wagyu sashimi, and a roll, my wife had the Spicy Tuna on crispy rice, amazing.

The food was very good and the workers were very kind. I'm not a huge fan of routine drinks. S ok I was glad that they had can drinks. It took a while for our food to get to our table but like I said it was very good. The soup they served us was my favorite.

I used to dislike sushi…. but this place completely changed my mind. It’s the first time I’ve had sushi that I genuinely enjoyed. A few days ago, my family and I visited Tomodachi, and the experience was simply amazing. The food was delicious, the service was awesome, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. If you visit this restaurant, you absolutely MUST try the Tomodachi Rolls. They were crazy good.

The sushi was fresh and delicious. Wait staff was ok. I had to ask to have our drinks refilled. And the atmosphere was just ehhh. Tables and chairs in a room. Some seating at the sushi bar.

Great food and exceptional service- out of towner.

A good, but not great, sushi restaurant. The sushi was fresh and tasty, but the portions were noticeably small. The atmosphere was typical of a Japanese restaurant - dark and mostly quiet. However, I thought it odd that there were no booths - only tables. The service was probably the best thing about the establishment. Multiple wait staff came by on a regular basis to make sure we had everything we needed. Parking is plentiful and there are wide aisles to accommodate handicap seating.

I wanted to like this place, we ordered one of the most expensive items, the popcorn lobster it was so awful not to mention it had NO lobster, it's these little corn meal puffs, 🤢 so gross... For the price it should be so much better... Would NOT recommend.

Food is poor and pricey. Just to compare, we had similar order in Sushi Tyme in Santa Barbara the day before for $126 and much better quality and here for $200! Sushi and rolls are nothing good to talk about, miso soup was only salty miso, no green onion, no tofu, no wakame! Beef teriyaki is hard as rocks! And they could charge each tea bag for $3.5! Not to recommend to my friend!
