Small, hole-in-the-wall appearance from the outside but always clean and welcoming. The stuffed french toast specials are amazing and far better than you'd find at any chain restaurant. Only downside is it's a cash-only establishment, but prices are very reasonable.

There is nothing quite like their burgers. I really can't quite describe it but they're delicious. The home made cornbeef hash is also fantastic. These are the only two things I've had here so far, but good lord both are worth coming back again and again. The only problem is that their hours are hard to make if you don't live or work near by. They close at 2. Also, cash only establishment.

Great little cafe for breakfast and lunch. The menu sticks to the basics. I had a hamburger with fries here recently and paid about the same as the burger chains charge, but the Windowbox version is so much better that there is no comparison. Highly recommended.

This place will be definitely be on my wishlist to visit however due to the toxicity comment people are coming from TikTok live will never get a chance to see in person. Yes could do little changes on the POS by adding Credit cards options 😉

This is one of our favorite places for breakfast. They always have interesting specials. Service is excellent. I appreciate that they hire and train a lot of high school students. Everyone seems to have a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

Another great local family business. It's nice to know the name and face of the owner, the cook and the server. You can get used to this home style country diner and the high quality ingredients in all they prepare. Of course the key ingredient here is lots of love and that's what you can expect every time. Im a big fan of the breakfast selection with a host of omelets and delicious blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes!

Windowbox is elite diner Americana. Old school feel, open kitchen, everything you think about when you picture a diner. My go to for Rusty Spoon breakfast. Homey and intimate, it's the kind of place that has regulars. I'm one of them! You'll see families, people coming after church, blue collar guys grabbing a quick sandwich, or groups of people sitting down and enjoying a full brunch or breakfast spread. You can smell the vintage folgers from a mile away prepared for you out of a machine that AI has no chance of identifying. The food is great and the service is better making Windowbox a perfect pitstop.

Small town diner experience jusy outside Albany. Staff get along like a family, local patrons talking news and events, and food was excellent. Being able to have personalized, off the menu food choices made us feel right at home, too. You are not limited to what is just on the menu.

Food is cooked to how you like it and is always fresh! Every member of the staff is pleasant and enjoyable to be around! There's a reason why the Windowbox Cafe has been in service for 30 years!! Nice to get a waffle that is actually cooked here as compared to frozen ones. Good coffee. A little pricey, but I guess most places are these days. $19 for a waffle with side of 2 sausage links and coffee. Maple syrup offered for an additional 2 or 3 bucks can't remember.

The service was pretty nice and the food is good. My concerns are that the place could use some remodeling and that the place is cash only??? It is 2022. Please find a card system and join the rest of society. You would probably gain more traffic this way. Good food though.

Don't adhere to social distancing. Nothing was wiped down after customers left, waitress poured me a cup of coffee in the cup that was left by the last customer, then asked if I'd like to order. I loved to order except thats not my coffee cup, so I appreciate it if you cleared the table and brought a fresh step up.Oh I didn't know. Plus they keep the silverware set up laid a cross the counter for another place for cross contamination. Oh and then my bill just had a total on it, nothing added up no prices on food or tax just owe 23.00 ? Very unprofessional ... Limited menu. Probably the only place in the area for locals. This place is FILTHY!!!! They cook potatoes NEXT to raw meat!!! They don't change PANS after they cook a dish in it they use the same pan over and over again. They use the same pot over and over to make poached eggs! There is FOOD all over the place and I got pictures to prove it!!!!

Watched them on tik Tok clean the grill on one side with chemicals, while cooking on the same grill. Then when I said something I got blocked.

Was browsing through tiktok and stumbled upon their "Chef" Dylan on Live while working. As a trained chef, myself, for over 20 years, it was clear this cook does not know basic food safety protocols. Broadcasting for everyone to see him handling raw food, hands on hips, then touching cooked food without changing gloves. Restaurant needs an inspection for mishandling food, exposing patrons to food borne illnesses, and violating basic procedures. This is no joke. This is serious. It's not hard to change gloves in-between orders. But no, I was blocked from saying anything because it wasn't positive enough for thier broadcast

Management needs to put more workers. Kitchen is gross. Their kitchen TT live streams shows them use pans without washing and cooking beef patty in the same spot they cooked chicken and turkey without cleaning it. Then he touched the raw burger patty with his glove and made a turkey wrap and showed it on camera by grabbing it with the same gloves 🤢🤢 FOOD CONTAMINATION IS REAL

Bunch of lying thieves. My bill was $10 higher than the printed menu prices. When I called this out, they said, that both me and the wife were given old menus and had to pay that bill. I fought with them and only paid the printed menu prices. Dishonest people. Stay away!

Well I tried it. Sadly it wasn't very good. Eggs weren't cooked right, bacon was burnt in spots. Cooks seemed overwhelmed at times. Wait staff weren't very friendly. I felt rushed the whole time. The restaurant is very outdated.

I understand that Dylan and Matt are no longer employed at this establishment. The owners need to remodel this dump instead of replacing their cooks. Dylan is way too talented for this restaurant and the owner did Dylan a favor. Dylan appearantly has moved on and relaunching a closed restaurant 30 miles away.
