Been coming here for years. Recently changed ownership/name from Sindi's Snack Shack to Sisters' Snack Shack. They've kept the same menu and prices. I love the Thai tea. I love the Vietnamese coffee. The food is also great. I recommend this place to people all the time
Great place to grab a quick bite. The prices are refreshing in 2025! Friendly staff. Water bowl for pup on small patio. Food was good. I'd go for a noodle dish next time!
The crispy rice w/tuna is my absolute favorite, but everything here is solid for a quick meal. The owner, Sindi, is a very kind and friendly lady who is passionate about her business, and it reflects in the food that they serve there. The espresso is pretty decent here too.
I was recommended this place and they serve delicious and fresh Japanese/Vietnamese style food. It was super busy and mostly only had room to stand and eat although most people got take out. They have delicious boba tea and shaved iced as well. I will definitely be going back next time I am in the area. They are a brand new business so go support them! Service was fast and excellent!
Love it!!!! Sorry for picture like that I was planning to take a picture first but then I tried it and couldn’t stop eating😅 that was a Korean rice bowl with bulgogi. Omg!! So delicious. Yareli was very friendly and kind. She recommended us that rice bowl. Thank you! P.S. was pleasantly surprised to see Mooski bars here. Love them so much. Our friend Robert is the owner. Well done Robert🥰
Small family-owned Asian fusion restaurant by the beach, perfect for grabbing a shared meal during a sunset watch :) I appreciate the authenticity of an Asian wife and husband cooking warm meals in a remodeled hangar-style shack. There's so much to choose from.. if you're craving something Vietnamese or Korean, they got it: banh mis, kimchi grilled cheese, Korean ramyun, and rice bowls. They also serve shaved ice and boba milk teas! We got the kimchi quesadilla $11, pretty solid and yummy choice. Spicy, cheesy, toasty, and not too messy. There are a few tables outside, but we just took the food to go. Would come back again to try a drink!
This place is Incredible! Stopped here for lunch and was blown away. I got the bulgogi bahn mi and my boyfriend got the bibimbap bowl; both were so delicious. Plus the katsu masubi was so yummy too. Sindi is so sweet and creates such a welcoming atmosphere. really amazing hidden spot that more people need to try!
We had a banh mi sandwich with shrimps. It was delicious. We also had two vietnamese iced coffees. Delicious, not to sweet , refreshing. Highly recommended.
Sindi’s is my go to for a quick and delicious Asian food meal. My kids love it too. I’m keen on their crispy rice w tuna. I can’t get enough. Everything there is good though. Boboa teas, salads, Spring Rolls, Japanese curry (my son’s favorite) spam musubi. Not a bad item in the menu.

You're not expecting delicious food from a “shack” but that's what you're getting. The menu is very diverse with great prices. we are disappointing. We were disappointed we didn’t find it earlier in our trip. It is a shack, so don’t plan on eating there unless you are one or two people. We got takeout which was perfect.

This is a great spot. First off, I love Station Sushi. It is one of my favorite sushi places in all of SoCal. As I can piece it all together, Sindi was a prime influencer in the growth of Station on the Beach. Sindi’s Snack Shack is a twist on Station’s menu, and it offers something that nothing else in the area does, deliciously. I had the kimchi fried rice with pork. It was phenomenal. The only drawback I felt from this dish, was that I would love to be offered some sweet oyster/eel sauce drizzled over the top. Fried rice with duck sauce is one of my go-to’s the morning after a “hard-night”, and since I was there on a Saturday morning, well then you can guess the rest… the kimchi fried rice was so good, & that was all I could smell when I walked into the shack, so I really didn’t take the time to study the menu before ordering. I said to the young girl behind the counter, “What is that smell?” And, when she told me the dish, I forgot I wasn’t even that crazy about Kimchi. This is coming from a guy who lived in Korea for almost 4-months. I got to know the difference between the good stuff and the bad. This was just phenomenal. It had just enough kimchi to give it a little kick and crunch, and that authentic far eastern taste. They dropped a fried egg on top, and it was money! It might be the Boston in me that wants the sweetness, but I would take this dish every day even without the gravy. As I was waiting for my fried rice I checked out the rest of the menu, and it will definitely bring me back again. I especially want to try the Spam Masubi (Think Nagiri, but with Spam). Now, before you go writing off my reviews, because I like Spam, think about how Sindi pulled off the great “kimchi miracle of 2021” with me 😉 Like most people, I don’t go out looking for Spam either. But, after I left Korea, I lived in Japan for another four months. This dish was a common treat there. This is not your mother’s canned Spam on Wonder bread with mayonnaise. This is thinking a bit outside the culinary box, with a gentle, sushi touch. Delicious 🤤 The shack was very intimate yet easy-going. There is a nice view down to Fletcher Cove, and there are stools and counter like seating out on the front porch to eat right there. To me this screams casual Southern California-just off the beach dining. There is plenty of parking considering the location. Once you find the first time, it will stand out to you every time you go into the area. Boston Irish gives this 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Go see Sindi, she knocked it out of the ballpark again!!
I eat here 3-4x a week. Crispy rice is 11/10, sometimes I add in a chicken katsu musubi, some hi chew and a milk tea. Never thought I would become such a regular! Grateful for Sindis existence.
☕ My morning routine when I grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich or lunch just hits different at Sister Snack Shack 🥰 Two sisters, one incredible little spot — and from the moment you walk up to the counter, you feel it. The warmth, the smiles, the genuine “welcome in” energy that’s so hard to find these days. And the food? Oh, the food. 🤤 You HAVE to try the banh mi sandwich. Pork or chicken — both are absolutely delicious — and the roll it comes on is very soft. If you want something light, grab fresh spring rolls or a bowl. If you’re looking for a place that feeds your soul as much as your stomach, this is it. Go support these amazing sisters — you won’t regret it! 💛
Was at the beach and popped here for some food for my family. Gracie, one of the owners helped us - she was super helpful, friendly & attentive. Food was timely and delicious. Made for a perfect sunset dinner!
I simply do not understand the other reviewers saying the food and/or service was subpar. My husband and I were there on an anniversary trip from Atlanta and this was a SUPER fun lunch stop as we were out walking Solana Beach. There’s even the tiniest view of the ocean from the front porch bar seats. The customer service was INCREDIBLE. We were served our food quickly even though there were several other customers at the same time. Food portions were very generous. The owner took time to talk to us personally and was incredibly friendly. Seriously one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a “shack” and that’s the vibe they are going for and it totally works. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Not sure what else you could ask for from a fast food establishment. Don’t pass by! Definitely give it a try! It’s something unique. Not just another burger, taco or chicken sandwich. And be sure to talk to Sindi if she’s there. She’s just lovely to chat with. Recommend 10/10!!
This wonderful Snack Shack, located by the Sea is amazing. What a great spot to enjoy amazing food, ambiance and people. The owners create a welcoming, friendly, family atmosphere. I will be back for sure!!!

Don’t let the shack vibe fool you, this spot surprised me. The Vietnamese lettuce cups were fresh, crunchy, and perfect for a summer day (loved the pickled veggies, though I’d skip the peanuts next time). My wife’s bulgogi with rice was a little sweet but packed with flavor. Great beachside find, I’d definitely stop here again on the way to Solana Beach.
Overall a cute place to grab a bite by the beach. Good array of Asian fusion options. I went the online order route and it was ready in exactly the estimated time. Would recommend for an easy beach day option.
There's a wide array of tempting options on the menu here. We had the Spam Musubi, Lemongrass Chicken Salad, and Japanese Curry. Everything was good. Curry definitely needed more kick and the ambiance of dining in a parking lot made me miss the coziness of the old Hideaway Cafe which wasn't maintained with the new space.
Just a hole in the wall in Solana Beach!! Fantastic Asian lettuce wraps with peanut sauce! Super affordable and delish! Definitely will come back! You can come in your swimsuit and barefoot -- super casual!

I wish I didn’t but breakfast here, but the $6 Thai tea and “flavorless” milk boba teas were good. The spam musubi were such a comfort. The bahn mi is good, but too heavy with pickled vegetables. I like spam and my grilled cheese spam breakfast sandwich was not worth $7, maybe $4. The “loco moco” was hyped up by the employee and it was so underwhelming.

UPDATE: we are back one year later. The amount of meat in the sandwiches has gone down quite a bit from what I remember. Maybe it just seems that way. But, the service is the worst in Solana Beach. I was there today and they are so focused on catering to the phone orders and to DoorDash, that walk-up customers are simply irritants. I watched those two young girls screw up at least 15 orders. Every single order had an issue with it. When I saw people leaving with their food who had ordered 10 minutes after me, I asked where my food was. It had been sitting out on the counter for quite a while. When I told her my name, she stared at the two sandwiches and said, “oh, I didn’t know whose sandwiches these were. I could not read the writing.” It is worth noting that it was her writing. We won’t be back. I waited over 40 minutes. It’s a Monday and few people were at the restaurant. The food here is absolutely phenomenal. The customer service was really good. Though our sandwiches were ready within a few minutes, it took 35 minutes to get a quesadilla for one of our kids. That was pretty odd. Great location. The Banh Mi sandwich is the greatest ever! We will be back.
Ordered stir fry lemongrass chicken and bbq pork, ended up taking about twice as long to make as the estimated time (40 minutes). To top it off, I ended up getting two orders of the chicken which I didn’t notice until after I left. If you’re in a time crunch, I would not recommend this place.
