I come to this particular Ihop for years but today was one of the first best service received ever. The service was so greeting since arrival. We were seated right away and the server Rodolfo was amazing. He was always making sure we had what we needed and was super fast. Food wise I have to say it has been the first time I don’t bitc… about my food. My egg was done to perfection. Thank you Ihop.

This is honestly one of the best dining experiences I have had ever. The staff was cordial and efficient. Even though the restaurant was full. Our food was brought out to us in less than 10 minutes after we placed our order. Everything was working as it should. Other restaurants should come and look at the model of this IHOP and copy it. They absolutely deserve a five-star review.

Apparently, the kids in South Gate are on vacation. The restaurant was completely full and people outside waiting to be seated. Even though it was a Tuesday, it seemed like a Sunday breakfast day. The server was very nice and politely informed us of a longer wait at the kitchen area. He was very apologetic about it. He did his job VERY WELL and was VERY attentive. I give him 5 STARS for that. Overall, the whole restaurant experience yesterday was pleasant (even with the wait). 🙂

Being in my 40's I can remember going here growing up in my Middle, as well as, High school days.(maybe elementary) With that being said I am impressed this establishment lasted as it did. As for food wise. When able to go I enjoy that I can have breakfast items anytime. Their omelette's a favorite. Update: 6/1/22 Today's waitress was Viviana. I'm grateful and appreciate her style. Approachable, attentive, upbeat. Represented customer service really well very on point. Thank You for a great time. Otherwise the same stands. Although not a frequent flyer. Am glad a restaurant that I'm familiar with is still available in my city. Would I recommend? Yes Would I return? Strong Yes. confess it's As craving arises.

I've been coming here for years... However today was a little more pleasing. My waitress was on it, I think the new manager was too, he saw me looking around and right away he asked if I needed something. I'm doing a weight challenge that makes it difficult to eat out but the new items were great! Had egg white omelet, with spinach and mushrooms with a side of protein powder. Left happy with my decision on coming to IHOP.

Great service...it was very busy when I went but only waited 20 minutes...Our food was served pretty quick ..

The "great beet salad" written up was not special for me. Beets tasted like they could have been wedges from a can. The piece of salmon I chose to top it, had been fried with little flavor and cracker texture. I had to ask for iced tea twice and got it without a straw...wait again.

I first want to say that I appreciate Jazmin she was very sweet and attentive to me and mine! That is why I am giving 4 stars. I had the country breakfast bowl, and it was exactly what I expected, then especially feeling :-) my beautiful bride had the T-bone steak breakfast, eggs were done perfect, but the steak.. no good. It was tough overcooked and under season oh, and a hash browns were also under cook. Everyone else had pancakes, and of course you can never go wrong with ordering fluffy pancakes from IHOP. Again special shout-out to the service, but the food, they need to step up their game again.

I was tricked into going to IHOP but the service was great, Rosa was the best waitress and she suggested the gluten free pancakes, WHICH were very good. Place was packed and we did not wait long for food or drink.

Thus place has great customer service, I have never been disappointed with the waiters/waitresses. The food is pretty good and comes out pretty fast too. The only thing I dont like is that there isn't space for families bigger than 4 or 5 they need bigger tables. Also the bathrooms are set up so weird.

After a little issue last week. ARMANDO the assistant manager reached out to me. After letting me explain my issue he apologized and invited me to come back to his location so that he can provide the proper customer service they are known for. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable at his location. Excellent customer service. The store manager can learn something for him. I have been coming to this location for years and I was ready to never return again. Armando did such a great job that my family and I will continue to visit this location. Haven't been to this location in years because the previous manager always made us feel rushed and the food was not the best. I'm not sure if there is new management, but the food was very fresh and the service was fine except for the first waitress who didn't want my daughter and her friend to sit at a different table despite being told they were paying separately from my group. Another waitress stepped in and said it was okay, 4 at one table and the teens at another and it would be two checks. It wasn't busy on that day many tables were available. Overall it was okay.

Service was average, the waiter was courteous and attentive. However, the food was marginal. The dish that came last, its fries were only warm. I asked for an extra spear of pickle for my BLT, and it was 4 for $1. My two kids and I asked for crispy bacon. The bacon was so crispy that most of it were in pieces which fell out with each bit. I gathered the pieces in the end and ended up with about two slices of bacon. Also with us was my granddaughter. She was becoming fussy, seeing everyone else get their food. It was sad to see that our waiter would pass by us and did not offer to bring the side of fruit we got her while our meals came. IHOP has become mediocre with its cost on food not being justified. Not to mention extra cost for such things as pickles. I will only go back to IHOP if I'm desperate and as a last resort. There are other similar chain restaurants (that are slightly better) that will be much more satisfying.

I am giving this IHOP a 3 because I'm nice. I ordered my food online and I get there 2 minutes after the pick up time they gave me. When I go inside I ask the cashier for my order and I notice a bag with food behind him. As I noticed that he tells me my food will be out in a couple of minutes. I tell him if that bag behind him is mine. He says no and continues to process other customers. It was very busy so that's why I think I am being nice to the young kid. He seemed a little flustered. After TEN MINUTES he clears up the line and I asked him if he's 100% sure that's not mine. This time he actually checks. And would you believe it, IT WAS MY FOOD. Now it's been sitting there this whole time and it's cold. Some would have asked for their money back or to have their order done again, but I didn't. Guess in some way I felt sorry for him having to deal with that long line all alone, but that doesn't change the fact that he should have checked correctly the first time.

I was here with my friend on 10/15/21 in the morning. It seemed a bit busy. Service was ok up until we were about 1 hr in and they started with giving us the check, then with the "whole do you need a box" then this man comes over (I'm guessing the manager) and he keeps asking things and making us feel like we have to leave already. Everything was so rushed. This was supposed to be a nice breakfast date with my friend to catch up and they ruined it. I get you want to fit as many people as people and make the money for your day since you guys close early now but that wasn't a way to treat us.

Also the coffee that my mom had was also watered down and you could tell when she was pouring it. I came here to eat some breakfast and have quality time with my family . I have a service dog and as I was walking in the look and comment from the Manager were unwelcoming he changed our table and stuck us in the back corner and every 5-10 min he walks over and keeps an eye on us from a distance. This is not only rude and unwelcoming but coming from a manager I expected better .

Then they took our sugar packets and put them in an empty table! And we needed it for our coffee! It would've made sense to give us another tray of sugar packets but nope. So we asked another waitress "can you please bring us sugar? Another employee took it and clearly just left it on the table next to us with no explanation." So she got us some sugar and the employee who took it comes and tells us, "I WAS CLEANING IT FOR YOU." 🤦‍♀️ When we paid and were leaving she was leaving too and gave us a nasty face. Like wth? I dont know what kind of employees they hire here but they need more training.

I give the staff and food a 5 star as far as the new manager the Asian guy I think it’s very annoying and frustrating for the hostess and cashiers to be told how do their jobs the times I’ve gone I always see him severely micromanaging the floor not caring for servers if they running behind or not. Piece of advice is leave alone your team and let them do their job im assuming your getting paid more money than they are.

Terrible experience! Asked for my eggs over medium, got them super runny. The waitress, Nelly, tried to argue with me about it. I asked her for new ones, they were no different. Spilling all over the plate and looked like my husband's sunny side up. Gross. The people sitting across from us arrived well after us and got their food well before us. I asked for new cutlery for crepes and she brought us a plate!? Then again argued with me saying it was a plate I asked for...no...it wasn't. The positive was the young man on the front desk who was very apologetic, didn't catch his name. Next time we'll go to Dennys.

We don't check ID! If you have a stolen credit card/debit card, This is the place to come eat! They don't check ID! No worries! They have a sign outside that they do but don't worry! They don't! So if you find or steal a credit card/debit card ,come here! They don't check ID! And when the rightful owners comes for his/her money back,they give them a SUPER HARD time. I went and asked for some ranch dressing today and the Manager was an old man. He was so unprofessional and extremely rude to me. He over charged me and didn't even give me my change. Not ever coming to this location again. The server was a nice lady but i waited for my food for a long time after ordering. When i received my pancakes there was a hair across the plate on top my boyfriend just wanted to leave but the kids and myself were hungry so we stayed. I told the server and she replaced them when I was eating them I noticed they were raw and not the ones i had ordered,I had asked the server if I can replace the regular pancakes for the new cheesecake pancakes in the create your best combo and she said yes but I just received regular pancakes with strawberry and whipped cream on top,we just paid and left.

Pretty disappointed, not only was the customer service was rude but the food wasn't as good. Had to find anyone who could assist me and my family on where to order takeout. I guess there were new hires but they seem to have been goofing rather than anything. Also I ordered a takeout for Strawberry crepes and only gotten a plain crepe. Don't know if we'll come back again, with atmosphere that made us feel unwanted and food that's just ok.

It was the worst experience I had. I ordered the bacon avocado benedict and the bread was very soggy, I was not able to enjoy it. I also ordered the strawberry banana french toast and when I was going to put syrup, the container had hair on it. The server Rosa B or any other server always passed by and never asked if we needed anything. I even held my hand up for long and they still did not come. I had to get up to get utensils and napkins. I almost never write a review but this was really bad.

The waiter kept getting the drinks wrong when we were ordering and to top it off once he brought the drink he spilled the iced cold coffee on my one year old daughter. On our visit we ordered the big steak omelette, the spicy poblano omelette and the crepe combo. The poblano was missing half the poblano cream and around the same amount of meat; the big steak omelette was practically a big mushroom omelette. The waitress brought what we thought was the crepe combo, but only with one crepe. It turns out she charged us for one crepe plus one quick 2-egg breakfast. Not to mention the bad burn coffee. The place was packed as usual on a Sunday morning, I didn’t even bother to call the manager. Aside from all this, we did tip the waitress, but definitely not returning to this location.
