Our server Raul made several recommendations that we went with. We LOVED everything. The Dungeons Crab Cakes were superb and my drink called White Linen was perfect. Not shown was my husband’s ribeye steak which was tender and cooked perfectly! Raul provided excellent service! We’ll be back.

I go here for my wife's birthday every year. As a past local, it's an amazing spot that isn't overpriced that has amazing food and service. Julz was my server and she made my last experience so magical! Not only was she on top of our order and recommended some really good things, she gave my wife an amazing mango caramel cheesecake for her birthday. A dinner we won't soon forget thank you Julz!!!

We are glad we chose this restaurant for dinner while we were in downtown South Lake Tahoe. Because it was a last-minute decision, we were unable to make reservations to have a table inside, but the staff was able to take walk-ins and seat us at an outdoor table, which we really liked. We are enjoying good food while watching other visitors walking around shopping. The food was good, and we all liked it.

We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary at Kalani’s. It was a memorable dinner. The crab cakes were tasty. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The seafood on a bed of risotto was delicious. We loved the deserts too, chocolate volcano cake and a magnificent chocolate caramel ice cream cake. It was simply to die for. Our waiter, Raul, was so helpful making great suggestions. He made our anniversary dinner a real treat. Thank you Kalani’s!

Spectacular dinner! The restaurant is very dog friendly. We brought our little yorkie, no problem at all. The mixed grill seafood with risotto was unbelievable. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. And the service was spot on. Highly recommended! Will come back!!!

Every time we’re in South Lake Tahoe, Kalani’s is the spot. It’s not even a question anymore it’s tradition. The sushi here is next level delicious. Super fresh, perfectly made, and packed with flavor. We seriously haven’t had a single dish we didn’t love, but if you’re looking for favorites, the Molokai Roll and the Hawaiian Roll are must-haves. They’re the kind of rolls that make you pause mid-bite and just go, “Wow.” Add a side of edamame and you’re golden. The Molokai Roll has the perfect balance of savory and spicy, and the Hawaiian Roll just melts in your mouth. The atmosphere at Kalani’s is just as great as the food , chill but still feels special. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the whole vibe just adds to the experience. Whether you’re a sushi fanatic or just want a top-notch meal, Kalani’s is a no-brainer. Highly recommend checking it out next time you’re in town!

We went to Kalani's for a nice date night meal and it was fantastic. Service was very nice, the appetizers were delicious (got the sampler), and the steak and sea bass were both perfectly prepared. The creme brule was also delicious. All in all I have no complaints and if I'm ever in the area again I'm definitely going to Kalani's.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from the concierge at the hotel we were staying at, and it was within walking distance and there are a lot of other choices. The restaurant was packed on a Thursday night, but had a high-top table in the bar, so we went with that. Caleb our waiter/bartender, was super. He was professional and friendly and knew his stuff. So was the young man that brought out the food (forgot his name, picture included in the review). We ordered different drinks; I had the Hawaiian Margaritta (Just average) and then the Maui Sunset (Excellent), my wife had the White Linen and the Maui Sunset and loved both of them. The drinks were well done and looked impressive. We decided to order soups and appetizers for dinner. So we had a bowl of the Clam Chowder and the Lobster Bisque, and they were both excellent, tasted fresh and delicious. And we had an order of their award-winning Wing, the wings did not disappoint. They we had an order of Fried Ahi, Heavenly Roll, and Veggie Roll. The food looked and tasted very fresh and we enjoyed it all. I ordered a Hawaiian Bread Pudding, and that was just average, but I still enjoyed it. We will definitely come back.

My husband and I always eat here when we visit South Lake Tahoe. Shelby was our waitress this time and she was friendly and attentive. She was accommodating when requesting to sub a side for our steak. Food was great as always. We can’t wait to be back.

This was an incredible place for a nicer dinner out in South Lake. We had a group and they sat us no problem. The food and drinks were incredible. I started with the crab cakes and lobster bisque then had the shrimp lettuce wraps which all were fantastic. Highly recommend stopping in here for a nice meal.

Came here for my birthday this past Monday. Very warm atmosphere but kind of loud when it's busy which makes it difficult to have a conversation. Seating is a little close together but not terrible. The food and service was amazing! Drinks are decently strong which is always a plus. Its expensive but, in my opinion, worth the price. To my surprise, they gave me a slice of their guava cheesecake for free because it was my birthday! Will definitely be back!

There were 6 in our party and we got seated right away. Lucky us on a Sunday night. The service was impeccable, the food was prepared and plated with passion and style, outstanding! I fully recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a fabulous dining experience

i think the place exceeded my expectations and service was really great, we came with a really large group. the starters were not bad, but really salty. shrimp tempura roll was fine, rice could be more even around the roll. for mains, the miso sea bass was really well done and not overcooked, recommend subbing out the rich potato mash with veggies. the bread pudding dessert was warm and really good, whereas cheesecake was too sweet.
