If you like breakfast, this is the place to go!! They have great chicken n' waffle. They also have omelettes, and classic American breakfast like bacon eggs and toasts. I think pretty much anything you get here, you'll end up liking it!! I come here for fried chicken n' waffle because that just does it for me, completes my meal. I like to add a side of mixed berries and whip cream. Also extra gravy for the chicken. They make it fresh and everything tastes great!!
Fun, easy hang out with Great friends. The food is always awesome 👌 The waitstaff always attentive and courteous. It's my go to spot for American comfort foods!
The food was especially good. I had a burger, and when I ate it, it tasted like heaven. It was soft, but it had the right amount of salt and other stuff. I also had the ice cream. It was pretty good, not gonna lie. The service was as fast as any other diner. It's a little long but not that bad. The place felt modern. There is a little bit of wood details here and there. But you're probably not going to notice them anyway.
First time here recommended by by a friend. The food that ambience everything is fantastic totally will come back
So great and such a variety of options that we ate there 2X and some 3X! Caesar salad and the Ice cream was amazing! The truffle mushroom pasta was delicious as well! The burger...Yummm! The waffle and the strawberry coulis...Amazing!!
First time there.... absolutely loved it. Food, people, atmosphere, we're great not to mention the customer service..... fabulous. I was done with my food and then I saw someone order a basket of fresh potato chips.... omg....Ummm YES! Took those to go only they didn't almost make it there... LOL
First time here and so seriously impressed with the ambiance, the service was first class - Brody took excellent care of our party of 8 - The food was delicious, the baby back ribs were perfectly prepared, and even our picky children loved their food too! They even had the Dodger game on for the WIN! Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!
I dont usually give 5 star ratings. However I've visited this place often after being introduced to it from my son who frequents Twohey's. It is always crowded! Consider that a good sign people! The atmosphere is always lively. The employee's treat everyone, regardless of race - with excellent customer service. Often times a really polite woman, who also frequents Twohey's, will engage in good conversation with customers. She may even buy you a drink or offer to buy you a dessert! Dont be surprised to learn it's the owner!! Yes! that sweet lady who engages with all customers, is the actual owner. John Haffner from Bar Rescue, would be proud of this place, I'm sure. I hung out at the bar to watch the USC game & was not dissapointed by the diverse crowd! If you are "persnickery" as I am, want good food, good atmosphere, diversity of people, & customer service where they treat you like family, stop by Twohey's in South Pasadena, You will be glad you did. Tell them you heard from Sandra this place made her recommendation list of places to eat at.
Held a mini high school reunion here for six at 3:30 pm on a weekday. Beat the dinner rush, plenty of free parking. Got a nice booth near the door so we could watch for people we haven't seen in a zillion years to arrive. All were easily found thanks to our location. Service was friendly. I had dessert for dinner. The large sundae with bittersweet chocolate. Cherry on top. It was yum. I snatched an onion ring, nice not greasy, lightly friend. Others ordered stuff from the happy hour menu. Everyone seemed happy. Yayyy. We were there about 3 hours. And also lingered for about 20 minutes in parking lot. Two of us chose to park on street same side as restaurant, so parking filled up fast after I arrived. The place shares a lot with other businesses. Some parking in rear. Invoke your car karma.
Just squeaked in before they closed at 9pm. I had (part of) an excellent Steak Frites with garlic fries. Tom and Denise both had the Thursday special- a really good Chicken Pot Pie, with gravy that is out of this world! We all got salads too, and that was lucky, because salads were unusually good. Split a piece of dark chocolate cake too. A fabulous meal!
This feels like the best version of a fancy diner where I would be happy eating like 10 different things off the menu. I had the prime rib dip with home made chips and both the sandwich + dip and the chips were fantastic. It ended up being a nice big plate. So good. My partner had a short rib melt and loved it. His potato salad was fantastic, with some olive oil and scallions. They have a great happy hour and since we were there early, we also had some decent margarita and mojito. Edit: We've been back a bunch of times since the first review. Several sandwiches are good, the chocolate milkshake is great, the poutine sauce is awesome (except for a little too many mushrooms). Overall, a hit with everyone we bring here.
Twohey's is a must-try in Pasadena! I highly recommend this elevated diner. The breakfast options are delicious, especially the corned beef hash and orange French toast. Plus, they serve a great latte, a definite step up from the usual diner coffee. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to try it for lunch!
Met a friend for lunch here and we were seated within 5 minutes. The menu is varied, but wish they had better salad options. The Arnold Palmer was made with iced lemonade. Lastly the service left more to be desired as we were not offered refills and had to flag the server for water and additional napkins.
Used to go to Twoheys when it was in Alhambra on Atlantic and Garfield. Though it moved and changed menus the food is delicious and the desserts are a must try! Everything on the menu is delicious. Love their breakfasts and dinners. At this visit I tried the short rib melt! Juicy and flavorful! The seasonal pumpkin cheesecake was tasty.
First time here and the food was very good and the service as well. There was a long wait for the food to be served due to kitchen rush hour but we got our food. The restaurant is very clean. They have outside patio seating and bar seating as well. I love the decor inside and it's a lot of history into this restaurant.
I was blown away by the food. It is delicious! I've had plenty of omelettes in other restaurants but this one takes the crown. I got the South Pasadena omelette and it was amazing. It is packed with cheese, mushrooms, and perfectly folded. Every single bite was packed with the main ingredients. The eggnog french toast with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries was to die for! The decaf mocha was spot on and the coffee was amazing. Finally, we also had the Sunrise Burger, which was so yummy. I had to take pictures of every single plate just so I can look at them and share about how wonderful this place is. I will keep coming back to continue making memories here with my family. This was an unforgettable first meal of 2024.
Lovely restaurant with a great menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the eggnog French toast. I’m not sure what about it made it ‘eggnog’, but it was delicious and beautifully plated. I love that it had a generous amount of berries on top. The restaurant had high chairs available, was clean, and we didn’t have to wait for a table.
First time here, I found it on google maps. We got there at 8:15PM and it wasn’t crowded, we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and attentive. They were out of soup so we had breakfast for dinner. I had South Pasadena Omelette with hash browns and sour dough toast. My wife had a Denver omelette with hash browns and sour dough toast. The meals were both flavorful and delicious! The eggs were moist and packed full of ingredients! I thought I tasted cheddar flavor in hash browns though waitress said there was no cheese in them. After breakfast for dinner we shared a banana split. The prices were reasonable. Very nice diner vibe with all American menu! It’s a really old restaurant in a new location. The building is modern. Outdoor seating is available. I recommend this place!

Food is tasty with generous portions, but it's kind of expensive. Servers are usually pleasant, but service can be slow, getting a table or getting the food. Their hot fudge sundaes are the best around. They have small "lunch" counter & a sports bar that serves liquor.
My husband and his brother grew up going to this place so when we came to town we had to hit this place up. Although it has moved it's location, it is still good. It's a must stop for the onion rings and chocolate sundays for sure. Off the hook sweet and crunchy rings. Would I trade these rings for a diamond one....hmmmmm 💎 🤔 maybe not but it's a close second. 😉
This place was very nice in several ways but I came here once years ago and tried a lobster special thing and wasn’t impressed. The lobster tasted like it came out of a can. This time I had short ribs and part of the meal was excellent but the gravy was too gummy and thick and everything was a bit too salty. Still overall it was nice enough for four stars. Service and atmosphere were wonderful.
Large menu. Probably the best diner in the area. Beautiful decor. Good service. prices are moderate.

First visit. Sat at the bar -- best place -- with my friend, who has been here many times. Service was lacking. Pretend you like your job, please. Drinks, okay. Sand dabs -- nice to see those on a menu -- were quite good. Would I go back? Only if my friend suggested it.

Terrible carne asada chilaquiles. Do not order those, the tortillas were soggy and only few pieces of meat. Disappointing
This is $24? 2 tiny slices of meatloaf smothered in a salty sauce and mashed potatoes with that were bland and tasted like out of a microwave. Tiny portions and bad food for a high price. You guy's fell off since moving to south pasadena. Ooo and good luck finding parking. They have a few spots on uneven cement. This will be the last time I order food or eat there. Owners got greedy such a shame
