Taqueria Celaya is a good spot for Mexican food. I especially love their tortas. I get the carne asada torta, and the aguas frescas are refreshing. I love the orange and horchata agua frescas. The service is on the friendly side, and when dining in the atmosphere is great. I always get amazing service and tasty food.
The best Mexican restaurant in South San Francisco. Friendly and welcoming staff, the most delicious refried beans, the best salsa verde, and the most mouth watering horchata. I love Taqueria Celaya ❤️
We were traveling through South San Francisco and our original plans of getting lunch near Golden Gate Park got cancelled. We decided to search for local taquerias and came across Celaya and I am so glad we did! Both my husband and I ordered the Asada Super Burrito and shared a Horchata. We were not disappointed. The burritos were delicious and very filling. The Horchata was creamy and sweet. It was an excellent lunch and made me glad our original plans fell through. My husband is an airline pilot and said that he now knows where to stop by on his way into work. We no longer live in the bay, so we are excited when we get to eat at a good taqueria. Celaya fits the bill for sure!
Delicious, nice and friendly environment, lovely place, family business, reasonable price.

Many will say La Tapatia has the best burritos in SSF. But for the best WET-burrito I only go here, that 49er burrito is my go to every time I come here! Always get one of their refreshing agua frescas to go with it too.
The lady's that work here are very sweet they really make you feel welcomed, and the food was delicious
me and a few friends were visiting from riverside ca and decided to eat here. best tacos i have ever tasted. prices are good. me and my girl ate till we were full for only 15 bucks
I just had the best burrito here. Super friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere for a meal.
By far the best tacos I have ever had in the United States. These tacos are the closest thing you’ll find to authentic tacos. Most other Taquerias go overboard on their tacos which are very delicious don’t get me wrong, but Celaya is the closest to real authentic because their tacos are small and simple the way tacos should be. Their salsas are great too, not crazy spicy. They have other food as well but I come here for their tacos.
The food and the service was spectacular. The Macho Nachos were dome of the best I have had in a long time.
Living just two blocks away, I made it a weekly ritual to dine here, and it remains my absolute favorite spot for street tacos. While I miss the salsa bar, a casualty of the pandemic, it was heartening to find the tacos tasting just as delicious as they did six years ago during my recent work trip. It's reassuring to see that this gem is still thriving.
This was a random stop while driving to pick up a package. Really happy we ate here, I had a super burrito and it was excellent, definitely 5 stars. Only problem was I ate it too fast 🤪. It didn't say on the menu, but they had little bits of bacon mixed in... so good :). Highly recommend!
My good lady and I arrived off a flight at the end of 2012, we were looking for somewhere to get a good feed before heading off. We had the best shrimp burritos Ever! Recently we passed back through San Francisco again, recently (July, 2014) and made a B-line for Celaya Taqueria. Could highly recommend. Do not be put off by the casual decor or outside facade! The prices are very reasonable, the staff are helpful and the food makes this place a must!
Their tacos look fantastic, but I really wanted a burrito and was not let down! Their salsas have actual FLAVOR in them and are just spicy enough to make your nose run. Great fresh chips too!

Had the 49er and my wife and I split it. It was huge and very tasty, perfect for the two of us. A wet burrito with a great sauce, we did get the super. Chips were warm and the salsa they provided was perfect, we mixed them and ate the whole burrito and all the chips with the green salsa. Need to come back to try the tacos and other item! We’ve returned to eat the 49er again and it’s good but not quite as good as the first time. Unfortunately, service was very poor with the woman at the counter seemingly having a very bad day. She never smiled once and seemed to resent having to serve us even there was almost no one there. We dropped a star given her surliness.

Very well prepared. Authentic level of flavorings even on delivery. Rice isn't hard and lukewarm like how it should be on poke bowls. Teriyaki and other sauces isn't too sweet but hint of it. Even the tofu are well made. Looking forward to try more dishes but this spot is definitely one of the best

Have not been here in years! Decided to stop by for a Super Burrito. It was decent. Not a great burrito but not bad either. I guess when I compare it to other better tacquerias like LA Tapatia or El Farolito, this is just ok.

Food is ok, meat didn't taste fresh. Order taker had mask hanging from his chin. I called him out and he said he has a phobia. Great
I live nearby and have gone there twice. Both times I didn't even finish eating what I got. It's not terrible, but it doesn't good. The place isn't neat. Boxes and supplies are everywhere. Oh, and since I live nearby, I want to add that they are terrible neighbors. They park their 6 to 8 vehicles on the streets and don't move them, except for once a week, leaving the residents nowhere to park. JERKS!!!!!!!! Lets see, there is the large white bus, blue and white pickup, pewter GMC SUV with attached trailer, black Golf, white Town Car, black GMC pickup with gray cover, and some other light blue car.

1 star only because they serve beer. Got my order wrong. Served me the driest chicken ive ever had. Like wood splinters in my burrito. The music was so loud I was unable to have a conversation. Seriously like I was in a club loud. With CLUB MUSIC. Maybe its because I'm from San Diego that I hold Mexican food to an elevated standard. No. Screw that. My meal sucked.
