Excellent place to eat, choices of pastas, made sandwiches or hero's, pizza choices they also do take out. They have serve bar area with TVs you could watch the game. Good friendly family like environment for all ages!
The chicken parmesan was the best I've ever had. When it came out I took one look at it and knew I was in for a battle because it was the size of the entire plate. The cutlet was so enormous but was cooked perfectly. I also stopped in here often just for a slice and have never walked away unhappy there's a reason they've been around for as long as they have and I'm sure we'll be around much longer. Try it if you have the opportunity.
Really great Italian food! Decently priced, and portions are huge! The wait staff was extremely gracious and nice. Would definitely recommend!
A great red sauce family run Italian restaurant. Always a comfortable place for Italian food
Great Italian restaurant in the town of Southampton. Quality of the food is superb, and the staff is great. Highly recommended if you are looking for quality home like cooking at a reasonable price.
While visiting Southampton. Had the pizza , soup, meatball parm and Caesar salad. All delicious. Highly recommend. Friendly service. Looking forward to a return visit.
The service was good, the atmosphere was warm, and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the linguine with white wine clam sauce and the gnocchi with fresh pesto!
This is our favorite place in the Hamptons. My wife has been going since she was a child and they always treat us like family. I am trying to get them to deliver to CT for her birthday during #WFHGate. Fingers crossed!
Great spot, relaxed and inviting space. The portions were huge. Eggplant parm and caprese salad were delicious and our waitress was kind and efficient
Awesome!!! Same size and quality hero's ,pasta, desserts, etc as they politely served back in the 70's at a reasonable price. If you leave hungry it's your own fault.
Delicious. Meatball Hero w/extra sauce on the side, is the best on Long Island. Their Margarita pizza us amazing also.
I recently round this placemat from my visit on Aug 1988. Came with my grandma to visit my great aunt in SH and she created a memory book for me. I was 10 back then so I'm gonna say I must have loved the place since I wanted to keep the placement lol. Thought I'd share the memory.
Great food! my go to is usually a meatball hero. They also have a gluten free pasta that tastes as if it was real pasta. Excellent. They also have what I believe is a gelato and man is it good. The new addition of a bar rounds out the environment from the pick up pizza oven area. DO IT! The best pizza in Southampton.
If what you are looking for is delicious Italian food in a family friendly setting you don't have to go any further than La Parmigiana. While they do make some of the best pizza on Long Island, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try something off their extensive menu. Portions are large, service is great, employees are friendly, and prices are moderate. Portion sizes make it easy to split an entree or to bring home an extra meal. If you are looking for a typically overpriced pretentious Hampton's restaurant with mediocre food and a side of attitude then go someplace else because this isn't it.
A legend lives on. I am one who remembers they used to serve slices in the front. Now? A delightful patio with outside bar, an elegant indoor dining area, and still the best Italian Family Restaurant on the entire Island! Eggplant 🍕? Best in the Hemisphere!
There's no glitz and glamour about this place but it sure does serve up the best authentic Italian food. They don't normally take table bookings so you may have to wait for a table at peak times. Fantastic service from a lovely team. Wine and dessert menu was limited for our visit today as they gear up for the summer season but we enjoyed a delicious pinot grigio from their specials menu. They seemed to be doing a very busy trade of takeaways based on the number of carryouts we saw, so your pizza may be competing with these orders! Portion sizes are plentiful. All in all, well worth the visit for a relaxed Italian dinner.
First of all… Paula is amazing! She is the hostess with the mostess and the Queen of service. Her grandfather started this place and I’m certain she is making him proud. Although very busy, she finds a way to make you feel like you’re the only person dining. The food was amazing and the portions are grand which is something that is rare in the hamptons. I love this place. I’ll be back. Recommend.
The pizza, service and everything else was great! I would definitely come back!
Waitress was awesome, hostessing, bartending, and waiting tables, all quickly and with a smile on her face. And the pizza was just what i needed after being out of NY for a decade. Definitely coming back for a bigger meal next time I'm in town!
So enjoyed our lunch with you. The family had a wonderful experience. Food was Amazing and customer service was even better! We were well taken care of and the ambiance was great! Thank you for such a lovely time!
Best Pizza in the HAMPTONS I moved to TX in 2000 and visit every summer for the Best Pizza I miss so much .
Best restaurant in Southampton. I wish I had discovered this restaurant sooner. Huge delicious portions, great prices, and even better service… especially the bartender!
One of low key businesses that lets its food do the talking. From a simple pizza to the spaghetti Bolognese, everything is prepared with care. From the year round locals to the "special of the day" celeb will be chowing down here. Helps to call ahead if you have more than 4 in your party. Service is super friendly.
Service with a smile, and friendly atmosphere. Food was well prepared with fresh ingredients and healthy family sized portions like grandma's kitchen.
This place has the best pizza in the Hamptons. The staff are all proper locals and take really good care of their customers.
Great pizza. Our go to pizza place when in Southampton.
Delicious food. Generous portions. Curious and prompt service. Charming white tablecloths.
the pizza here is amazing! got the grandma pizza and it was so good and flavorful! the sauce was sweet and it was a thin crust which i loved! we also got to try the penne vodka and it was so good. highly recommend if you are looking for a great spot in southampton!
Gorganzola salad is my favorite. You will also enjoy the pizza and pasta dishes.
Dropped in for an early dinner. We ordered a personal grandma pizza and eggplant parmigiana sandwich- so fresh and delicious! Service was excellent as well. Will definitely be back :)
A long staple in Southampton for authentic Italian food. This restaurant cannot compare for delicious quality food. Restaurant itself has a pleasant atmosphere, on the casual side, service and hospitality are tops. I would make it a point to visit if you're in the mood for Italian cuisine which is surprisingly varied. Entrance is from the front on the main road so parking can be a challenge but there is ample parking in a back. Make sure to check out and buy their labeled virgen olive oil!
Paula was an amazing waitress with great recommendations for the area. The food here was great too, you can tell everything was homemade with authentic flavor!
We came in last night and had a great experience thanks to Mike (I believe that’s the English version of his name, he is originally from Montenegro). It was busy, and we could tell that the staff was doing their best to accommodate the guests inside, outside and picking up. La Parm is a special place for my boyfriend and I because we had our first date here 3 years ago, and to this day, we still talk about the Buffalo calamari we had. We hadn’t been here in a little while, but decided to come in last night. We had a glass of wine at the bar while waiting for a table. The staff was amazing at juggling tables and getting everyone what they needed. We didn’t mind waiting a little extra time for a table outside - we know it is tough during these times when staffing is low and it can be hard to find restaurant help. When we sat, we got a bottle of wine and placed our order, but it was nearing time to close. Mike was so kind and gracious, he offered to set us up outside with a private table before our food came, letting us enjoy the full moon. He was also great with recommending the perfect wine to go with my boyfriends pizza. It is service like this that truly makes a difference, and we don’t expect anything special, we just love the food! We have both worked in the service industry and know how rough it can be dealing with customers, especially on a night when it’s low staffed and busy. We will continue to support La Parm and are so happy they are still thriving after a challenging year. I hope management and the owners will see this and realize how lucky they are to have their restaurant running in the care of such genuine, hardworking and kind people.
Friendly bar staff, the food is consistently good with family style portions. If you are looking for calorie light and / or upscale dining this isn’t the place, BUT if you want good traditional Italian from a family owned/operated locals. You won’t be disappointed
First time and their pizza was amazing, great service
Lovedddd this Place! My friends took me here for my Bday! Food was amazing: the portions were extremely generous as it is family style. The place was super cute and service was better. It made me and my friends feel like family. Their sauce was amazing. I had the chicken parm with Ziti 😋. They sold their sauce… I had to take a jar home! 🤩
Tradition made this place great, and tradition keeps it great. I know there are all kinds of new-fangled places in Southampton, but this one is superior. Pizza is amazing, broccoli rabe is memorable, and everything else we've had here over the past 30 years has been just delicious. We always make a special trip to go to La Parmigiana. They deserve our loyalty and you'll see they deserve yours. Trust me.
Fantastic food and huge potions. My favorite restaurant on Long Island. I always dine in.
Lovely dinner in a great atmosphere restaurant. Sat at window table. Service was friendly and he was very knowledgeable.
NOTHING can come close to the outstanding flavors of the authentic food of La Parmagiana! Do not be fooled by the simplicity of the restaurant or the dedicated pizza ovens in the back of the restaurant. Not a restaurant in all of Manhattan, or the Hamptons could come close to this amazing Italian food. In order of greatness.. pasta dishes .. linguini and clams, eggplant with ribbon pasta, grandma pizza ( get the pie) eggplant parmigiana hero, Gorgonzola salad & the list goes on.
We’ve been going to La Parmigiana since the 1980s, and it’s always been a favorite. While it’s a great spot for the occasional dinner out, it’s truly our go-to for takeout pizza. In my opinion, it’s the best pizza in the Hamptons, hands down. We moved to Westhampton Beach last year and now usually go to Tonino’s, which is very good. But whenever we’re in Southampton, we make it a point to stop by La Parmigiana for a pie. Nothing beats it.
The decor is clean lines contemporary. Indoor and outdoor patio as well as typical pizza style dining room for informal dining. The personal pizza melanzane was delicious. Chicken parmigiana was quite ample. We shared at our table. pricing was very good considering you are in the Hampton. Servi extremely attentive to requests and making you feel welcomed. Love coming here.
La Parm always has the best pizza around! I grew up in the area and no longer live here but when I'm in town, stopping at La Parm is an absolute must! I just wanted some good old cheese pizza and it did not disappoint. The wait staff was so friendly and attentive and you can always say hello to Rudy, the owner. You can always find him there, I don't think he sleeps 😁. But if you're ever in Southampton make this your go to pizza joint! You won't be disappointed I promise.
when all the other places in the Hamptons cut their quality to stretch a dollar at the expense of customers, La Parmigiana hasn't changed one bit. it's still the best pizza in the Hamptons, and still has the same quality it's known for since it's inception. the best quality ingredients make for some of the best pizza you can get on long island.
Absolutely the best place to have a very good meal, after traveling for 12 days having many kind of foods, we happily found La Parmigiana, the girl was actually interested about how we were doing, asking genuinely about the food, if everything was fine and etc, and even the portion is quite big (enough for two) we made it quickly because it was tasting espetacular. I still missing it. congrats 👏
beautiful interior! the server was so so so nice. food is absolutely delicous. if there was a word that was more than delicious, that would be this place. nothing even describes it. the portions are big, and the price for it is fair. the complementary bread was just AMAZING. it came out hot and fresh, nothing better than that. greek salad was really good as well. fettucine alfredo was soooo good, one of the best i've had in a while. the sauce was perfectly made and creamy. oh my gosh. masterpiece. please give all these chefs a RAISE. loved this place.
Lunch prices were lower than expected for Summer in the Hamptons. Meatball parm was large and tasty. Do not look for parking out front, rear entrance opens to public parking lot.
Like coming here when in Southampton, about five times so far. Food is good but not over the top. Would be better if they can loose the fruit flies that's always in the dinning room.
Probably my favorite pizza in Southampton, though I prefer to eat it before it takes the trip to my home enclosed in cardboard, which I believe alters the flavor of most pizza. But yes, delicious.
The food is authentic Italian cuisine. The ravioli is thickly packed with fresh ricotta; the gnocchi are plumply stuffed with a smooth tasty potato filling and the servings are large. The real deal.
Great local pizzeria that goes well beyond. They offer a fabulous menu and every thing is well prepared. Everyone working their is extremely friendly
The place was packed on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Food was simple, but tasty. Huge portions. The wait staff seemed flustered and a little bit confused, but they were all pleasant and attentive to our party of 7. Several items were not available, but I chalked that up to dining later before a holiday as well as a romaine recall. They were very accommodating of substitutions in those cases Would definitely go here again as there were lots of things on the menu I'd like to try. Had the chicken parmigiana, and it was delicious.
This place is great if you're looking for a fairly priced restaurant in the area. Pretty sure it's the only place to get decent pizza as well. One word of warning though: the pasta portions really are insane - each order is probably good for two people.
Freshly made to order food. Personal pies are generous size and crust is thin and crunchy. The sandwiches/heroes are open face style. Bread was really toasted so closing it up to eat by hand proved messy. Best use a fork and knife, but the flavors on the grilled chicken an broccoli rabe were spot on.
Dine in pizza is advertised as 10” for a single person. They are actually about 14-16” for 2 people. We ended up taking one to go.
Great Italian Family Comfort food. Best pizza's in the area and wonderful Italian dishes including deli area. Nothing Fancy here. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Large portion sizes.
Very enjoyable meal and quality food. The server forgot one of our dishes but that was quickly resolved once highlighted and we were given drinks on the house. Next time I’m in the area I will visit here again
Really popular Hampton's restaurant / pizzeria. Great value for the area! The eggplant parm was described as "one of the best I've ever had" and "not at all mushy!" My linguine carbonate was flavorful, if not a bit salty. The meatballs next to us, which looked delicious, were described as the biggest I've ever seen. Good Moretti beer. Friendly service. Its a family operation.
Cute place. Full but no waiting on a holiday weekend. Plenty of parking. Staff was first rate service. Plenty of actually good gluten free options. Pasta was slightly undercooked and both chicken & sauce was kinda bland even for Fettuccine Alfredo. The mozzarella appetizer was unique and delicious! Two of us came away with to go bags. The prices were $2-$5 more per plate than I expected but I'm still adjusting to inflation mentally so don't trust me. You should go give them a try!
Good food and friendly service. The entree prices seem a bit high but the portions are huuge. You could easily feed 2 or maybe even 3 people with one entree. -1 star for the terrible canoli.
Old school red sauce..large portions..great staff. No reservations under 6 people..expect a wait during high season. No atmosphere but dependable food
Pizza and meatball parm hero was one of the best I've tasted I'm a really long time. The waitress help was outstanding. I would have rated.this restaurant a 5 star operation except for one issue. The air-conditioning is just awful on a hot humid summer evening and you will feel really uncomfortable. With that said the restaurant had a line out the door waiting to come in to dine. This was my second time at La Parmigiana with the same experience. Next time I'll do take out or wait until the Spring, Fall or Winter to really enjoy this place!
I stopped here to grab a bite for lunch. I had a chicken and broccoli rabe panni. The sandwich was great. The thing that wasn't great was the service. When I entered the restaurant it was very confusing where I was supposed to order. I didn't know if I should just sit down or go to the back where there was a sign saying place orders here. I ordered on the back sat down and they brought me my food. I had to go back to the area where I ordered to ask for a napkin. Overall food good, service mediocre, place is pricey.
Sadly this Southampton institution has hamptonofied itself. In addition to it's overpriced entrees they now tack on an extra 4%if you pay by credit card. I did not find this out until the check was presented at the end of the meal. The food is still pretty good and filling. New bar area is nice .
Was visiting the area and came to this place based on google reviews. Service was excellent. The food was just “average” to be honest compared to other Italian restaurants. Should have been better for the high prices. Have to mention the 3-4% increase for credit cards is a bit ridiculous.
Have come here pre pandemic for at least 10 yrs First time with since Covid Prices were kind of a surprise. Use to be affordable for a middle class family but being this is Southampton I guess it’s par for the course. I couldn’t wait for the salad which was always part of the meal but not any more! Service was great just kind of a let down! Least expensive glass of wine $17 Shrimp pasta dish 4 shrimp $36 I guess nothing stays the same!
So far I've only had pizza here, so take that for what you will. The pizza is good, crisp, not too sweet. The service is relatively timely, and the staff are courteous. Not a bad spot to stop for a quick bite if you're in the area or need to pick up a care package for someone in Southampton Hospital.
Went here based on raves from family members and the three of us left perplexed. The pizza hit the spot but that's it. Two apps were generously sized but otherwise unremarkable. We are open to going back to try some of the Italian dishes and maybe I'll be more impressed. Take away service was not stellar.
Huge family style portions. But if it is hot don't go. Air condition or lots of traffic don't mix. For all the money they have made owners should recognize this to improve dining. Veal. Chicken. Pizza. Calamari. Awesome. Simple. Great! But who wants comfort food at 86 degrees unless your in your eighties. Could have more stars! DEFINATELY. I will give up personal space and call it intimate but if it's hotter than a nursing home times two screw it!
I have been coming to La Parmigiana for many years and the food has been amazing but lately I have found that the service is very poor... specially during the summer. They are not attentive enough to clients (like if you want another drink or if everything came out good) and they are not corteous at all. Needs to improve on this aspect.
Waited 15 minutes to be seated past time of reservation, ordered right away, food took nearly an hour to come out, and the first dish they brought was wrong. The service was awful, they didnt bring water or napkins, they did not check in on us and the waiter was very insincere. The manager tried her best to help. The bill had no compensation for our multiple complaints AND they added 18% gratuity, meanwhile we did not reach the 8 person party minimum that was stated on their menus. The food was average
very disappointed in my order. I picked up Chicken Parm dinner during the day when there was literally no one there. I expected the chicken cutlet to be made fresh but I fear it must have been sitting around because that was the consistency and flavor. The sauce was too sweet as well. It also cost $40! I catagorize this place as a pizza place that has seating for dining in and $40 for that? well way too high especially as it was not worth eating at all
I recently had an incredibly unpleasant experience at this restaurant, primarily due to Joe, the waiter. His customer service was abysmal. As a guest, I should never feel the stress of the staff, but Joe made it impossible to enjoy our meal. He was incredibly impolite, argumentative, and unprofessional. His only interaction with us was to take our order and drop off the food, with no regard for basic courtesy or service standards. Additionally, I witnessed Joe treat the Hispanic staff with blatant disrespect and rudeness. It was clear that they were the ones doing the actual work, as they were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed. Frankly, they should be the waiters instead of Joe. To make matters worse, the restaurant was out of salad upon our arrival, and it would have been considerate to inform us before we were seated. However, Joe showed no concern for this inconvenience. Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience, and I hope the management takes action to improve their service and address the unacceptable behavior of their staff.
Chaotic night and our server (I think his name was Joe?) was on another level. He maybe talked to us 2 times and was really stressed and rude. Not sure if it’s a him problem or just not having enough staff to support… either way, while the food was good, the poor service trumped it… also… They were out of salad?? Yet we ordered an appetizer and romaine lettuce was used to garnish it underneath? Idk.. weird night.
Waited two hours to get entrees and when we just asked for the food to go at that point. La parmigiana management did not offer any consideration for the inconvenience. We told them to take there food back. We were a party of 10 that had to be split into two groups. The first group was served and the food was so so.... The second groups is the one that received the worst service. The service is horrible and the food is subpar!!!
Ordered pasta carbonara at $20+. Horrible!!! It was spaghetti noodles with an alfredo sauce and ham from the deli. Also ordered ravioli with pesto sauce. Not sure what the sauce was but it wasn't pesto. How do you screw up pesto? I don't recommend this place. It was a long wait for the food , high Southampton prices, and plenty of regret for dessert!!
Employees we're barehanding ready to eat food, like salads. Took over 90 minutes to get entrees and that was the only thing we ordered. Pasta carbonara was with sliced deli meat ham and not pancetta and the cream sauce was all cream and no egg and missing peas. I would never return, avoid this place at all costs.
After 40 years of going to this establishment I have never experienced such a horrible meal and when I confronted the owner, rather than owning up to a misstep I was told never to come back again which is quite a sad handling of the matter! Pathetic approach to managing a dissatisfied customer!
Mediocre service, horrible food, unnecessarily huge portions, will NEVER goback, the tiramisu tasted like onions, pretty sure it was stored with onions in same fridge. Very sad and dissapointed, very overpriced for the quality of the place, food on all levels. I prefer McDonald's.
Went with a party of 8 last year thought the food was just okay. Some dishes good some were not good. At the end of the night we split the bill some paid cash some paid credit. Five days check my credit card the whole bill was charged on my card. Quickly called Restuarant and credit card company a few days and all was corrected. A year later I return with a party of six, place has completely changed!!!! service was horrible , pizza a regular pie was the worst we have ever had the cheese was terrible. Now to the main course didn't taste that great didn't say anything as the others seemed to enjoy it. Next morning food poisoning for four days. This restaurant is totally overrated I would not waste a single dime on anything in there. The service from start to finish was terrible couldn't even supply a candle for a birthday we were celebrating.
Do not even want to give one star. Rather no stars!! Ordered food tried to order a cold hero and was told "we don't do them anymore." Then told come through the back. So we walk through the outdoor seating area and the dining room then the bar to get to the regular pick up place. Why? I sure would not want people passing me while I eat. I find that so gross. You don't walk through a dining area to get your take out. I think a pick up area should be in the back where the employee gets payment and brings the food to you. I'll NEVER go back for sure now. My 15 yr old got a chicken Parm ate the chicken but the bread was so soggy he would not eat it. So he had some chicken for dinner. He'll be hungry again in an hour so I'll have to cook for him anyway. Huh.!! Way disappointed ☹️ found a gem in slice of Hampton's on 39 right next to the bp gas station.Park in there for easy access and easy entry and exiting. Food is delicious and they have an extensive menu. Burgers, heros- hot and cold. Really great. Great survive too.
Hands down, THE WORST pizza I've had in my entire life, no exaggeration! Bland toppings and sauce, watery tasting dough and foul tasting. If that wasn't enough, the spinach side salad with mozzarella and old tomatoes was inedible. Congratulations, I never knew making a horrible pizza was even possible until today!
I’ll never go again. Was ignored and made to feel like an unwelcome annoyance by multiple staff people. A nice waiter tried to salvage the experience but the food when it came wasn’t very good... way overpriced. Atmosphere was chaotic with takeout crowd, conflicting bar/dining room music, and kitchen noise.
Although the pizza was good we sat at 6:00 on a Tuesday evening and ordered the pizzas immediately, they didn’t come until after 7:15 - didn’t get our dinners till 8:30! They were packed, but the problem was they were taking an extraordinary number of take out orders and phone orders. When the restaurant is that crowded - STOP ANSWERING THE PHONE!!!! My granddaughters pasta with butter didn’t come out till 8:45!!!! The service was terrible, we basically cleared our own table and got our own to go containers. Poorly, poorly managed!!
