Stopped by for lunch with friends. Food was reasonably priced and delicious and service was exceptional. Highly recommend ramen, sushi and rolls!!
Awesome experience! I love the menu. It's a mix of sushi, ramen and Japanese fried rice bowls. Perfect for those nights the wife wants sushi and I want something different. The apple roll is unique and great. We also had the cherry blossom for an appetizer. The ramen was great! The broth has lots of flavor and perfect amount of oily texture. The house hot sake is also great Build out inside is nice but you can still dress casual. The staff is very nice and attentive!
We went to the restaurant hoping that there would be good ramen. We were blown away with the service and food while there! We were sat quickly and food was ready within mere minutes of us ordering. The staff were splendid and cared for us well. The food was beyond what we were expecting, in flavor, size, and display. We will definitely be going back!
We walk in here out of impulses, and we are so glad we did. The gyoza pan fryed was awesome. With the perfect ponzu sauce. The two rolls we had were also fantastic. Great presentation. The ramen was great. Huge slice of pork and great noddles. Plus the services were great and friendly. Even when i drop my spoon! You get for what you paid for. It's a bit pricey. But good food is worth it! 9/10
I am always looking for a place that has both great sushi and ramen. Well this is definitely the place! Service was great and very quick. Conveniently there was wipes and hand sanitizer on all the tables socially distanced. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey compared to most ramen or sushi joints. Also my yellow tail nigiri tasted amazing but it was cut poorly as you can see in the picture. If I am going to be paying higher prices I expect nearly perfect. I would still go back again because it was very delicious and I really loved the service.
I dropped in for a quick bite and i left satisfied. The fish was quality on the sashimi selection salad was decent. The fried softshell crab although a little heavily breaded was still tasty and enoyable. Agedashi tofu was passable, the tofu used was different from most places, a firmer option than normal
I ordered the lunch special. It came with a California roll and the tonkotsu ramen. The ramen had a great depth of flavor. The portion was big and plating was beautiful. I do wish my pork was braised in order to bring out the great pork flavor. All I got was some boring pork that lacked color and flavor. As well the extra charge for some chili oil was kind of wild to me. The California roll, as expected nothing fancy about it. Had good flavor very enjoyable.
Nice place, very casual feeling for being in sucj a prime location. Staf was extremely friendly. Food was good, rolls were heavy, maybe a little too much, but still tasty. Ramen was ok, saturated with corn and chives, not too original, but ok for what it was. A bit on the pricey side, but again, prime location.
Walked in and noticed a dirty water smell (was it mildew in the portable ac unit?) The food was good- tonkasu Ramen, chicken Karaage was HUGE! Asked for extra teriyaki sauce as the chicken teriyaki was quite bland. They charged an extra dollar. Really? How cheap! Table of 6 so they charged a mandatory 20%. I get it (but don't agree with it). Regardless, our server made no mention of the charge, nor was it highlighted on the bill. This should be standard. Not sure I would recommend this place...
Visited at noon, and our experience was underwhelming. The wait for our order was 30 minutes, which felt long for a moderately busy time. The sushi was average at best—nothing stood out in terms of freshness or flavor. Ordered chicken ramen, but it came with a piece of pork that was so tough it was inedible, which was disappointing and confusing. Also ordered chili flakes for $3, but received a small container of mostly oil with barely any flakes—definitely not worth the price. Service was okay, but the food quality and execution need improvement. Hoping for better next time. The staff was great and prompt
Gyoza (pan fried)- my toddler liked it and finished the whole order by herself. Forgot to take proper photos of this cuz she wanted to eat everything already 😂 Ozeki Roll- it's tasty but there was a piece of tuna that didnt taste fresh. could be better. Tonkatsu Ramen- meh. The broth isn't rich enough for my liking. Kuro Ramen- Same with 🔺. Broth isnt rich enough. It feels tasted diluted and saturated with green onions and corn. The pork was cut too thick and a bit hard. Ramen is too far from the ones you get in Japan. But service is good and staff are very friendly.
I went with a friend who couldn’t stop bragging abt the place volcano roll. The volcano roll was ok. Miso soup horrible , in-fact it was dark brown and when asked for it they said it’s always like this . I have tasted miso soup like in a lot of place and its color isn’t brown and bitter in taste . When asked they said its always like this . Wont go there again yet . They charged us for it even though we dint take more than a spoon for it even after complaining.( miso soup)
Take a look into the kitchen- looks very dirty. Smells like sitting water. Ramen is just salt has no flavor at all. Please avoid going. My ex is a better visit
I am visiting Dallas and staying in the grapevine area. This place was recommended by many people. So once I got done training I was stoked. I absolutely love ramen, bonus points that they were open a little later than most joints. I pulled up to the door and pulled on the handle at 9:17…45 minutes before closing. Doors are locked and the hostess looks at me and bows saying she’s sorry…No mam, allow me to apologize it was silly of me to think that your doors would still be open 45 minutes before you close. I would understand if I arrived maybe 9:45…but 45 minutes BEFORE? You can’t convince me. That’s just bad service. Change your business hours to 9:30 if you’re going to do that.
Idk where to begin. from the very beginning when you walk in there is an overwhelming and unappetizing smell of sewage. I should have left from there but I thought I'd give it a chance. My husband's ramen was not it. We returned it bc the egg was cold, the noodles were not fully cooked, the broth was watered down and meat was overcooked. My sushi was okay but it didn't have a full layer of rice around it and was falling apart with each bite. The ambiance has potential but it doesn't feel clean. Especially with the smell. The servers were very sweet and they are aware of the issues in the kitchen. Apparently the chef doesn't take criticism very well. He was going to make us pay half for the ramen "bc he ate some of it". Once he saw us talking to the server, he yelled from the kitchen to remove it from the bill. I honestly felt bad for the servers bc they probably deal with this all day. I left them a large tip for being so kind. This place could really survive if they tried but sounds like the chef doesn't want to. Especially with the location in Southlake I don't think it will last very long. Too bad bc it's a perfect location for Asian cuisine!
Where do I start.. When a restaurant is trying their best to deceive unknowing customers, they need to be called out. Soju is maximum $5-6 per bottle at the store. Most restaurants charge $15-$17 for general upcharge for fair business purposes. This restaurant decides to sell each bottle by 7x the market price at $35 each. This is worse than Vegas prices. The rice wine that is “20% off”is marked at 6x the market price after the discount. This is some next level hustling and I really question the owner’s character. The food is forgettable. Just some store bought teriyaki sauce on your meat. I will never even consider eating here again. The prices were so outrageous, it was kind of funny.. There is price gouging… but this is deceitful highway robbery. Get it together…
So disappointed with the food here. We couldn’t manage to even eat the food. Not sure if they were having an off day or new chef that they pulled off the street. But the food was so nasty and very expensive. We got soft shell crab tempura, which came with a sauce that tastes like vinegar and horseradish. The crab was unappetizing looking inside, I don’t quite know what happened, but the shells were a bit crunchy too, it scratched the throat well after eating. Tried one and couldn’t eat more. We also got Tonkatsu ramen that had so many issues. Tasted like burnt pork and they scraped the burnt bits from the grill off into the broth. You can see all the burnt flakes like pepper in the photo. It also tasted like burnt sesame oil or something. The noodles were undercooked, and the egg was overcooked. But mostly just could not eat it because of the burnt sink water flavor of the broth. The waiter was nice enough, but he even agreed that the ramen tasted burnt. Please just go somewhere else if you want ramen.
