We ate in the igloo. It was very warm and romantic. I highly recommend this for a couples night out. The food was served quickly and delicious. Our server was very friendly and professional
Went to the patio concert series and had a blast listening to music. Didn't have to wait long for a seat, so we chilled at the bar for like 10 minutes before we got one. Good vibes, awesome drinks, and I'm definitely going back for that river view!
Excellent atmosphere right on the Spokane River, competitive prices and amazing food. The BBQ pork is legit, smoky, tender, filling, and the truffle fries are incredibly flavorful. Sarah was phenomenal.
The food was amazing and our waiter (Tyrone) was excellent, but wait times were long! We stood inside 10 minutes before we were greeted by the hostess, a group of 6 ahead of us she was trying to help. She could have at least acknowledged we were there. Once we sat, we were placed at a dirty table. I had to flag her down again to clean off. Took almost 15 minutes just to get 2 bar drinks. Our appetizer and food were delicious. The pork in the tacos was smoked perfectly! The chips were served with salsa, but it is really pico de galla and very little of it. Atmosphere outside was nice, but we were placed up against the building and very hard to enjoy the view with all the shade things pulled out as they blocked view.
Alina was our server and let me tell you, fantastic! She really made it a special experience. I came with my folks for happy hour and it did not disappoint. The aperol margarita was phenomenal. Not too sweet, just right (I did not get the sugar rim). It was super relaxing sitting my the river and watching people walk by on the path. The road noise was kinda loud, so as nice as it is by the river, know there a main thoroughfare right there too. Nachos were decent. Cheese was lacking, chips were bare, so Alina brought a side of cheese sauce which seemed to be homemade, and that fixed the issue. Overall, highly recommend this lively Spokane restaurant.
Real good experience here! Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. The happy hour was great, the service was fast and both the drinks and food were amazing. We will definitely be back and be taking visiting guests here as it’s a prime location on the river!
I have no clue why the rating isn’t 5 stars here, my husband and I come here at least once every few months, the food is phenomenal! Come here you won’t regret it! The food is fresh, local and homemade. Levi was an amazing server as well! Bravo 👏 Osprey!
Do yourself a favor and get the Ruby burger! Hands down one of the top three burgers I have ever had in my life! The burger did not weigh down the brioche bun with grease at all (a real concern with such a delicate bread), and the egg was perfectly cooked, a nice drippy yolk that wasn't too runny. My husband got a beautiful light omelet, and the wait stuff were engaging and kind. The home fries could have used a bit of salt but the texture was to die for! Perfect crispy outside with a nice fluffy inside. We also asked to be sat by the river and they readily obliged; the view was exquisite. P.S. the hibiscus mimosa was delightful after the long drive.
My husband had the brisket with Mac and cheese and cole slaw, and I had the short ribs with veggies and risotto, both smoked on site. They were so good! We also sat outside so we had a view by the river. I don't really want to say anything else positive because then it'll get even busier than it already is lol
Food and atmosphere was great. Lots of flavor. Truffle fries were wonderful with the rosemary sauce. Steak had a nice smoked flavor and the Shrimp Linguine was excellent with the he cream sauce and the peach bread pudding was perfect to finish it all off. Definitely coming back again.
Todd, thank you for the wonderful customer service experience during our dinner! We drove 5hrs in to Spokane, and this was the first restaurant we went to. Was met with friendliness. The recommendations on both food & drinks were spot on. Buffalo ribs were grade A. We ordered peach bread pudding for dessert and that didn't disappoint. Sat outside under an above heater, but if you're not dressed for the cold, there's a good amount of tables indoors. Outside seating was nice, and the scenery was pleasant: waterfront with birds flying in formation. See photos for the delicious food we had. A must visit. 5☆/5☆ Lots of parking in the lot, and venue is closely nearby.
Another good restaurant with a water view. I had Osprey Burger and it was very good. Definitely upgrade the fries to truffle fries because it tasted really good. The food took a bit to make but it was worth the wait. Since we sat outside, the public boardwalk right by the restaurant made it a bit uncomfortable since weirdos passed by occasionally, otherwise it’s ok, maybe inside sitting will be better for me next time. Eventually planning to come back again.
Lindsey was our server and had excellent service. Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere in the igloo was super awesome and warm considering the 37° temperatures and rainy day
Beautiful location on the river with glass walls. Private room available for meetings with meal service. This room has glass walls and doors separating it for sound-dampening privacy and a large live edge wood slab conference table. The waitress was prompt, professional, and very accommodating. Full bar available with bar or table seating partially separated from the main dining area.
Our waiter Todd was fantastic, funny, informative and very attentive without being over bearing. He made our children special huckleberry lemonades with whipped cream and sprinkles because he said they looked like the whipped cream and sprinkle kind of kids which made them laugh because they are. The huckleberry was the perfect mix of sour and sweet and the cream made them taste a little like huckleberry Italian sodas. The food was delicious with huge servings, especially the first courses. We highly recommend the Burrata, the coconut curry carrot bisque and the truffle fries. In fact we'll be back just to order these. The burgers and sandwiches come with the truffle fries so it's recommended not to order additional but we ignored that recommendation because we loved the truffle fries that much. Husband enjoyed his Cuban with sweet potato fries, children loved their vegetarian avocado sammies with truffle fries and I was too full to eat my chicken sandwich because the first courses were huge meals in themselves. Will definitely go back.
Food was amazing and service was great. We went here for dinner and brunch the next morning. We were served our dinner fairly quick, however we had a very long wait to even have our drink order taken at brunch. The food made up for all of that though. Very glad we tried this place out and we will be coming back. The truffle fries are an absolute must try
We came here for the Valentines Day dinner in one of the Igloos. If you’re reading this near February 2021 and plan on going to one of the Igloos. Make sure you dress warm. The heaters don’t do much given the current weather. I would recommend warm shoes, pants, winter coat, and scarf or beanie or something for your ears too. We saw some people show up in dresses and skirts for romantic dinners and can’t imagine how uncomfortable they must have been. That all aside, since Osprey can’t control the weather no stars gone for being cold haha. We had Crab Cakes, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and Smoked Salmon. We split desserts getting one Cheese Cake and one Chocolate Mousse. Everything was great. The Crab Cakes were incredible second best part of the meal for me. The tortilla soup was good, but does have a little kick if you’re not into spicy food. Not bad, just a little. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the elderflower sauce was fantastic. The absolute best part for me was the Red Beet Risotto! It was so good I would have enjoyed just a bowl full of it. Our waiter was fantastic and it’s incredible that they do such a great job while braving the cold all day.
I was brought there this spring and since I don't get out much I stopped by today again alone, sat outside alone in 102 heat, "I LOVE THE HEAT", Enjoyed the well assembled Wedge salad that tasted as great as it looked and the Barratea Caprese that I shared with my friend the last visit here, but this time it was all mine and it was gone quickly. Inside is frosty cool A/C with beautiful interior and comfy seating booths and banquet areas and it's connected to the RUBY RIVER HOTEL too. The service, the style, The view of the Spokane river slowly moving by you and the food is all 5 STARS. It's worth the stop.
I was staying at this hotel for a work trip and arrived early and decided to stop by the restaurant that was attached. It was great!! The patio is amazing and has awesome views and atmosphere. The staff was really friendly and super accommodating. Great happy hour. The peach bread pudding was incredible. Loved the wings and nachos(I would maybe ask for them on a plate though?). I ended up having a few glasses of Rosé, spending most of my afternoon on the patio, and came back for dessert.
This is definitely my new favorite place to eat! EVERYTHING WAS SO PHENOMENAL! The staff, the venue, the drinks, the food - all phenomenal! I highly, highly recommend this restaurant and bar to anyone in the area. I will definitely be coming back.
A little on the pricey side for lunch, but everything tasted good and service was very friendly. The waitress recommended the truffle fries and the raspberry mojito and they were both great. My dad really enjoyed the Osprey burger when he went to happy hour the day before as well.
Literally one of my favorite lunch places. Super convenient location for a busy day around town. Service is always polite, food is consistently good, and the view is gorgeous. Can’t wait to try the winter outdoor seating by the river. I recommend the house burger with bacon and goat cheese, (my favorite) but the potato soup is comforting and a bit lighter on a cold fall day like this.🥰 🥣 Alaina was very accommodating and gentle today, as a former server, I always appreciate great service!
Really nice setting along the river. I had a great sandwich and salad, our waitress was very nice! I'd like to go back again sometime.
Great restaurant at the Ruby River Hotel in Spokane Wa. Good food, nice happy hour. Eating on the patio while watching the river roll by would make a good date night destination.
We were there with friends in the evening, at about 7 pm. The seating was moderate, we waited no more than 15-20 minutes for a table on the terrace. We ordered all the ribs, they were amazing! A little spicy, but tasty. There was also an appetizer, I don’t remember what it was called on the menu, it was toasted bread with sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella. Very tasty. The atmosphere was general, I liked it. We talked calmly, without raising our voices, which means it was not noisy. The terrace is very cozy. We will definitely come back again.
My husband and I popped in for a late lunch on 9/9/25 and the service, food and drinks were excellent. Our waiter was fantastic and when he found out it was our Anniversary he offered us a free dessert! He went above and beyond and we really appreciated it. Thank you!
We got served by Treb on Christmas and he was the best server we have ever had at any establishment. He was very attentive even with it being so busy and just made our night amazing. Would come back just because of him!!
We love this place. It's beautiful, especially this time of year. Brunch was a little slow, but I'm glad they were busy and it was worth the wait!
One of best restaurants in the Spokane Area that I have had the pleasure to visit. Everything is delicious, the staff are friendly and do not bother you every few minutes--they monitor the area and let guests dine in peace. The atmosphere is relaxing but beautiful.
I love this place and it has a wonderful location right on the River. The view is beautiful. Food is good especially the steak, burgers, and breakfast. The barbecue is also very good. . Bob and Josh served me last time, We've always had very good service. I visit my family there several times a year and we always visit Ospreys! Wonderful deserts as well!
My visit to Osprey Restaurant in Spokane was fantastic. The riverside patio had awesome views of the Spokane River, making it a great spot to relax. The Osprey Burger was tasty and well-cooked, and the truffle fries were a perfect side. The cocktails hit the mark. Service was quick and friendly, even with a busy crowd. The vibe was chill, and the price felt fair for the quality and great location.
I went to Osprey tonight on a first date and dining here made our experience so memorable. We had a wonderful waiter named Trebor who was very generous with his time and effort torwards us, very attentive with my dietary restrictions and went above and beyond with his serving and question answering. He really was a huge part of such a memorable first date, he left us with smiles on our faces and full bellies. We really do need more people like him in the serving industry!
A group of 8 met for Sunday brunch. We all had a lovely time. We were seated at one large table, which worked perfectly. I love eating there by the river. I had the Spinach Mushroom Omelette and it was scrumptious! Perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce in it added to the creamy goodness. I also enjoyed a cucumber elderflower gimlet, which not only looked magical, it tasted perfect!
Perfect casual spot by the water. Sat outside and enjoyed the sounds of the water. Lots of delicious food with appetizers, and the flourless chocolate cake. I wasn’t a fan of the house Cabernet. The goat cheese salad needed more vinaigrette dressing, but the goat cheese crispy puck was interesting. We had the smoked salmon appetizer too, which looked like hush puppies to me. They were unexpectedly a bit spicy but tasty. The cake was a small round single portion, which was fine as we didn’t want to overindulge with dessert. Lots of options on the menu, including vegetarian and gluten free. Afterwards, our group went for a nice walk on the adjacent trail, which led to the Gonzaga campus and some beautiful spots along the water. We passed the Jundt Art building and crossed the bridge, watched the sunset along the way, then looped back to the restaurant where we parked.
While staying at Ruby River Hotel, I've eaten at Osprey for breakfast and dinner. I quite enjoyed the TRUFFLE FRIES 🍟. I tried to order the Pork Loin but they were out. I also was told I needed to try the ROSé 🌹 SLUSHEE but much to my dismay, they were out as well. I actually felt bad for the server Josh as he told me 2 out of 2 things I ordered were out. So I tried the OSPREY BURGER. 🍔 I don't know what I felt about goat 🐐 cheese on it but the bacon 🥓 was perfectly crisp! For BREAKFAST, the sausage gravy with the BISCUITS AND GRAVY was delicious! BUT I am a firm believer that the biscuit should be so covered in gravy that no part of the biscuit should be visible. Next time I'll order just gravy. 😉
Such a beautiful place, drinks were good. Service was wonderful. Mahi Mahi was overcooked, but my wife didn’t say anything so that’s her fault 😂. Shrimp linguine was good and flavorful. Salmon cakes were ok, not my favorite. Overall a great experience and very helpful staff.
There for the Inlander restaurant week menu for $35 pp. I had the tempura shrimp to start and my spouse the WA apple salad. The salad was good but the shrimp was great. We did some sharing. I followed with Shrimp linguine and she with Puff pastry baked salmon. Both were pretty good though the salmon was slightly overcooked. We finished up with Berries and cream along with Creme brulee. A bit on the noisy side for me. Looks to be a great place to eat outside when warmer. Waiter was fine but dropped my CC bringing the check back. Another server brought it by before I could flag someone down. Overall we were satisfied and will be back this summer to see how a second visit goes.
The bees were a bit of a nuisance but drinks and food were great... The salmon balls were superb
The family stopped here for brunch. We were able to seated outside, in beautiful weather and under an awning. Perfect! Our server was attentive and quite engaging, we had some fun with her, and it helped to enhance our experience. The food was very good, my avocado toast with smoked salmon and eggs was delicious! Unfortunately, our food took quite a long time to come, and the restaurant was not that busy, so that was disappointing. But, that was the only downside. All in all, a good meal out.
While visiting from out of town we had a birthday to celebrate, so we ordered a few slices of cake. While the cake was good, it wasn't $11 a slice good. If it hadn't been for the birthday, we would have never ordered anything from here as all their menu items are quite pricey.
Celebrated our anniversary here a few days ago in the igloos and had a mixed experience. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Decorated beautifully. The meal was disappointing. Our steaks had swapped cooks- wife likes hers well done, I prefer rarer, so we were both reasonably bummed by this. Potatoes were extremely salty. However, the portions were decently sized, and the drinks were strong. Loved how much we could order gluten-free. Overall not a bad time, but if we go back we’ll certainly order differently.
I was hoping the bad reviews weren’t right and that this restaurant with a lovely location would have good food. The menu had good variety; but sadly the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the mahi-mahi with a potato cake. The mahi was dry and had a very spicy topping that did not pair well with fish. The potato cake was bland, as was the Caesar salad that was an extra charge. Hubby had the same meal and felt the same way about his. A friend visiting from the east coast wanted to have salmon since she she was on the west coast. Her comment was, “ it was just okay.” The location was pretty along the river and our server was good, but not excellent. In my opinion this restaurant needs a new chef..
Let’s start with the really good things: The food. I had the BBQ ribs: Nice, smoky flavor, falling off the bone, just as it should be. My wife had the Taboulé salad: Tasty, crunchy, good! The service was okay - not more, not less. Our waiter was there, did his job, nothing else. The thing that killed the atmosphere completely was the terrible lighting! Bright, white neon lights!! Grrrrrr! No chance for any kind of cosy dinner atmosphere! The ONLY nice lighting was at the bar: Warm, loft like light bulbs - the way it should be all over. Bottom line: Good dinner - with a big „But…!“
Sat at the bar area but got food this evening and it was definitely a busier evening. May have been an unexpected rush which is understandable. The bar has a lot of seating and even when a second person came to help, both were slamming out drinks and didn't have much time check on tables. I imagine being on the lower level and out of sight would be even worse. They also have to bus their own tables. Feel bad for Josh who was the main bartender during my stay. Seating in that area is a free for all. Now onto the food. Got the seasonal brisket BBQ platter, with a side of fries and the chicken tortilla soup. Fries were pretty top notch, not too thin and had a creamy center. Spiced a touch heavy I would imagine, I'm good with heavy on the salt but no extra fish or chicken flavors from the oil. Soup had a very strong unpleasant flavor of fake smoke or something that overpowered the soup. Got the "tangy" BBQ sauce and was warned it was slightly spicy. Would say it runs closer to hot with mild notes of BBQ sauce flavor. Slight distinction and had good flavor especially with the tender brisket but could be important to someone who doesn't like spicy. Slaw was flavorless! Mac and cheese was good but far too rich. Heavy on the Gouda cheese but had nothing to cut it down, making it very very rich with just penne noodles and some panko breadcrumbs. Good for dipping fries but felt like an incomplete dish with nothing to cut the richness down. Food and service go hand in hand and can effect ratings. I felt 3 stars was more appropriate as food is lackluster and staff is very effective at pretending customers do not exist and ignoring them until hailed or it is convenient for them. Not just bar staff but was observed throughout the restaurant as people try to get seated or questions answered.
We came in with high expectations because of the reviews, but were quite disappointed. I had the brisket and my wife had the prime rib. First mine... the brisket was average and very fatty. The flavor was just ok, the mac and cheese that it came with was not very good, the pasta was not quite al-dente, a little tough and the cheese was watery. Its kinds sad to say the cornbread was the best part of the meal. Now hers, the rare prime rib was again, average, but the edges were so salty to be inedible. The seasonal vegetables were crunchy and barely warm, and her caesar salad, like my cornbread was the best part of her meal. I will just say this, there are many other eating options in spokane... pick one of them, I won't come back here. David, our server, seemed disinterested in us or our desires. He did the minimum expected from a server.
Lovely outdoor table. Waiter was not friendly (borderline rude) and barely competent. Tap water tasted off. Ribeye was sad, grocery store quality for $40. Flatiron was ordered medium rare and delivered very rare. Sent back and returned medium. Everyone else had already finished by the time it was returned. Burger was meh. Overpriced is fine. Crappy food and a bad attitude - nah. I would not go back. Of course, we were able to get a table for 9 at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. Now I know why.
Selection was lacking, service was forgettable, atmosphere was strangely empty for a restaurant for which was "hard to make reservations." Expected more for a $100 bill. Lobster MAC and salmon wellington were also selected, I ended up throwing it up. Service was subpar, would not return.
Really poor service. We did have a big group however. Our drinks sat empty forever. Put alcohol in a non alcohol drink. Had to park far away because it was so busy. Very nice decor and great location especially if you sit on the patio. Food was ok. It ended up upsetting my stomach actually. Took forever to get our food. Won't reccomend to come back.
Ordered Eggs Benedict. The eggs came hard boiled. I returned them. The best dish was awful. The muffin, smoked salmon, and potatoes had clearly been nuked. They were rubbery and inconsistently too hot and frigid. On a good note, the eggs were done correctly this time. Really not worth the money even when fixed. The wait staff was nice so I tipped her well and decided I won’t be back.
Fries were the best thing out of the dinner. Got the Gouda Mac and cheese and the sauce tasted like it came out of a pouch and was very salty. The chicken was dry and Luke warm like it was pre cooked and later microwaved. Had my drink taken away when I was half done with it and had to ask for a new one. I was sat at a table in the middle of the seating area with wobbly chairs that made me feel like I was going to fall after I sat down.
