This was the first time for my real estate partner after me repeatly asking him to try it, the young lady taking the order was pleasant, we had a great time with her. The food was Awesome expect the chicken was just a little too dry. Otherwise Ruby's is just great!!!

We eat here about every other month. The food is always good and I love the laidback atmosphere. I almost always get the moist brisket, creamed corn, and potato salad. Sometimes the banana pudding. It’s ALL good. We have also used them for events at the house- birthdays or hosting pool parties for 40+ high school Italian debate kiddos. When we cater it is always a big hit and Rudy’s provides absolutely everything needed (napkins, forks, cups, etc.) making it a very simple affair. Plus, it’s affordable!

I missed good old Texas BBQ. By far, it's my favorite style of American BBQ and this restaurant does it justice. Both moist and lean briskets are my favorite. The side dishes don't seem to be anything too special, but you really can't complain about the prices. Tons of food and I love how you order by lbs. The house BBQ sauce is just the right amount of sour, sweet, and spicy. Highly recommend!

When we entered they host welcomed us and guided us through the entire process. The guy behind the counter “ Tito” helped us with samples and gave his recommendations and we got brisket lean, brisket moist and smoked turkey along with sides. The seasoning of the food is simple and the meat is tender and soft. Must try their banana pudding.

If you are driving through Texas and don't stop at a Rudy's, your making a big mistake! Everyone is very friendly, and you always see them hard at work. The food can not be put into words. It's simply amazing! This is the ONLY place I can get pulled pork and stand to eat it with no sauce on it. The flavor is just that amazing and its not dry. I do wish they offered potato wedges or fries but hey, they are keeping me from eating it lol. Country music and a nice sitting area tops this place off and gives it a very good vibe. I do wish people would mingle a little, they always sit so far from one another. Its picnic style seating, cmon people talk to someone and meet someone new!

Had dinner here having looked for a barbecue place that was a) open on Mondays and b) didn’t have weak reviews. Absolutely delivered - great atmosphere, good food. Baby back ribs and jalapeño sausage were phenomenal; brisket was OK - not bad but not as good as the ribs. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!

If you haven't been here before, it's good to know that you order the meat by the half pound, grab the cold sides from the fridge in S/M/L containers, and order the hot sides at the register also as a S/M/L. They can be individual or for sharing as it's family style. You are given your food in a tray at the register and then go to the topping stand for peppers, onions, pickles, silverware, table paper, and napkins. You can grabbed bottled soda, water, or beer from the open ice coolers along the way to the register or buy a fountain drink. For seating, there are family booths and large bench tables. There are highchairs if needed. You serve yourself and clean up after yourself. The food is delicious and always cooked well. Both the regular and moist brisket are delicious. The moist brisket is a lot fattier of a cut. Other things we've tried and really liked are the pulled pork and smoked turkey. The baked beans (Rudy's beans) have a tiny kick to them and are flavorful. The new potatoes will be absolutely swimming in butter if you say yes to having it added on top, so be prepared. The peach cobbler is tasty and a great way to finish off your meal and ensure everyone over 30 has a happy soul and heartburn for the night.

This place is great. Came here for breakfast. Got a super fat 5 ingredient taco, refied beans potato egg cheese and brisket. W a half a jalepeno sausage. Both were awesome. Only paid like 8 bux. All the extras you want. (Cherry peppers jalepenos pickles onions bbq sauce) they even have a buncha ziplocks so you can take some if u have a to go order. Friendly people, fast service. Little mini country store in the front. Me and my crew will definitely be making this a regular stop when were out this way .

Not to busy at noon on this Tuesday (an event day down the street) Cashier kind, patient and helpful. Food quick, and super delicious; ribs were juicy and flavorful; bread soft and butter crisp edges, alas the coleslaw was dry. A rare treat, so worth it.

First visit! One lady took time to entertain our kids while we ordered. She later came back by and brought stickers! Also, loved the creamed corn!

This is Rudy’s barbecue had a great meal there today I ordered 1 pound of brisket. My wife ordered half a pound of prime rib and a baked potato too much to finish great meal.

I'm new to Texas, and I've been to a bunch of barbecue places, and this is the best one everybody else. It really doesn't have very much flavor and something is always missing from their stuff, but rudy's is always on point. Well, their potato salad is not the greatest, but everything else is fire..

I tried Rudy' bbq for the first time. The brisket was moist, seasoned to perfection, and reasonable priced. You have two options for sauce and the white label was my favorite. The service was amazing and paciently explain the process. You suppose to grab one of the 38 oz bbq sauce bottle and bring it to your table. Also, you bring waxed paper(instead of plates) and plastic fork/ knife. The atmosphere was relaxing and i truly enjoyed the place. Kudos to the pit Master for job well done!

As always, Rudy's never disappoints. The quality of food, service and ambience seems to be pretty consistent throughout the years. One thing you can count on here at Rudy's is delicious and tasty BBQ.

Whenever I go through Texas, I make sure to stop at a Rudy's location. This was our first time at this location, and it did NOT disappoint! The brisket was awesome, the baked potato was HUGE, and the sausage was great. We will definitely keep visiting!

Hands down, Rudy’s is one of the best BBQ places I’ve been to in Houston. It’s just SO good. Their moist brisket is my go to and their cream corn is the BEST!! My sister got turkey and it was really tender and tasty. We also got the potato salad, and green Chile stew as sides. Everything was just so good! Love their self clean concept and how their sign boards say “Your mother is not here, so clean up your own mess”.

I needed to order lunch for 10 on a Friday for pick up at 11:30. I made the order online around 9 that morning. I was very pleased that everything was packed up and ready for my pickup for the lunch meeting. Our out of towners were very happy with the selection, all was great!

This was my first time eating here and I was impressed. It was a very clean place for a BBQ and it had an open atmosphere. I got the Moist beef brisket and a baked potato. Both were good. I'm usually not a fan of BBQ's but the food here was really good. It seemed a tad expensive but I think it was worth it. They also have a bunch of their own sauce that you can use. Definitely go there again if I have the chance!

This is the second Rudy's bbq restaurants we been too, the other Rudy's restaurant was in Phoenix Arizona. Since we had a previous excellent experience amazing food and environment in Phoenix Arizona we decided to stop at the one in Spring, Texas. We will have to say our experience was outstanding. The amanger was super nice, he asked us if everything was okay and our food tasted good. That's what we call good service. He was excited that we stopped at tow Rudy's in town different states he offered us some brownies as a thank you for visiting Rudy's. If you've never been to this place you order your food first and then sit at any table that is available. You can have all the bread you want, great condiments, pickles slices, pepper, soda ECT. Our favorite is Smoke Turkey, and Spicy Sausage.

Wow what a great experience at Rudy's. We ordered a little bit of everything and were glad we did. Everything was outstanding, some a bit more to our liking than others, but that's simply personal preference. The sides weren't special, akin to a generic grocery store deli...but we weren't there for the sides. The counter staff was fantastic, although they were always on the heavy side of he poundage...the beers were cold and the facilities were very clean and well kept. The ladies in the store in front were very welcoming and also thanked us on the way out. The biggest thing that struck me was the customers...there was a mix of everyone there and because of the layout with long tables there was a very friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend giving Rudy's a try, you will be glad you did!

I enjoy Rudy’s. Bbq tastes great. Place is very clean and staff is friendly. The meat is quite consistent. The sides are probably just average. I really only care for the beans. Every Texan has an opinion on bbq. To me the best bbq is the bbq in front of me.

Rudy's opens EARLY and I can have their AWESOME moist brisket & jalapeño cheese sausage at 7AM since I work graveyard shift, this makes my life THE BEST EVER !! For you morning folks, get you some BREAKFAST TACOS !! RUDY'S ROCKS !! :)

This location can be a little tricky to find, but fear not! Just take the Tomball/FM 2920 exit and stay in the middle lane, until you pass under the Louetta bridge, then quickly merge over to the right and the entrance is right between Rudy's and Zaxbys. The food has always been excellent here as is the customer service from all the staff. Definitely make it a soup and sandwich kinda day and try the Green Chilli and sliced Turkey sandwich. If you want an all-inclusive plate, try the baked potato with all the fixings and add a meat or two on the side or as a topper!

I'll be honest, my last experience at a Rudy's was less than 1 star. It wasn't this location but I stayed away. My mistake!!! This place is great, happy, smiling employees, very friendly, food was amazing, I will be back to try the prime rib. They also have security in the parking lot. Huge plus!

We had a little 8 person friends get together. The food was great (moist brisket and new potatoes). They will even grill and butter your bread if you ask them to. The perfect casual place to gather, chat, and dine.

Excellent, no notes. Fair prices, huge selection (and portions) of food, drinks, sauces and seating. The brisket and the jalapeno sausage are my go-tos. You don’t need the sause, but it’s a big bonus.

This is a great place to go if you're in a hurry for some Texas BBQ. The brisket was very good and the reg sausage was great. I also liked the potato salad and coleslaw. I will be back to try their sandwiches and stuffed baked potatoes.

Visited on labor day 2023. From the moment we walked up to the doors we were greeted with top notch customer service. Upon entering (door held open for us and all) we were greeted with smiles and asked if it was our 1st time (which it was). The line went quickly and we were confused on what to order. We got to the counter and were advised about the menu items and offered samples. The cashier was friendly and personable. I ordered the moist brisket, sausage, and beans. There was plenty to eat and the food was delicious. The place smelled amazing. There was plenty of staff around putting out condiments and making sure things were running smoothly. The bathroom was clean as well. I should've bought more food to take home because I don't think there is a location near me. I highly recommend this place and will visit again when I get the chance.

Incredible! Food is great and simple. Price is absolutely unbeatable. Service is outstanding, staff was quick, knowledgeable, clean cut and friendly. Can't find anything bad to say about this place. Clean comfortable and homey. No trendy hipster nonsense. Also they know how to make sweet tea, it's like being home again. Shocked to find out its a chain but just means more opportunity to visit Been to 2 locations now and food was consistent. Had the sausage, pulled pork, moist brisket and turkey sandwich. Our first time to eat here , take out. We had the smoked baked potatoes with all the fixings on the side and a 1/2 lb of chopped beef. The potatoes were fixed perfectly and the side of fixings was very generous and just enough for all 3 of the potatoes. The chopped beef was delicious! We will definitely be back to try more options. Have been eating at Rudy's since they came to Spring,TX. In a city full of BBQ restaurants, I picked them for taste, portions, staff friendliness and the cost. My favorite and a turkey sandwich and a stuffed baker. Oh and don't forget the cream corn. Yummy! If you are a breakfast taco person the have several choices and full and filling. No line and was easy to self-serve drinks, pickles and onions. BBQ sauce at the table had a nice kick and was a good way to switch up flavor profiles. Even though it's a chain they have quality meat. Everything is so delicious. My faves are the moist briskets, spicy sausage and cream of corn; which can be eaten as a side or a dessert mmmMm so good!!

Nice place and very friendly customer service. When they found that it was my first time there, they brought me samples of the lean and moist brisket and turkey. All three were good. I had the lean brisket, which was very good. My sides were the cream corn and coleslaw. Both were good, but not great. The prices are very fair.

It is a place to stop for a quick meal or big group together. The garage style design inside creates a special vibe. There are enough TVs to follow sports programs but not too much to create distraction. I love that they have unlimited homemade sauces. Those are great! Turkey and chicken so tender and juicy. I gave 4 because beans were not good. They were sour. Nobody in the group liked them. Also the station with onions and pickles- onions are cut to big and thick. They must change the selection of onion type and how they cut them. However, the cream corn is absolutely the winner! Make sure you order this side

Stopped by in the morning to have brisket breakfast. It was good, especially with spicy bbq sauce. Not as juicy, maybe because it was left over from last night and maybe if they cut a new brisket piece, it will be more juicy.

This was our first time trying Rudy's. The food was good. We ordered brisket, pork ribs, potato salad, and beans. The beans were great! The brisket was good, but not as good as they are charging for it. The same goes for the pork ribs. It's a self-serve get your own things place. I don't mind doing things like getting my drink, bussing my table, getting my napkins, and utensils, but why am I being asked to tip when I do everything?

First time visit. Not much atmosphere or service really. The food is good and decently priced, better than other bbqs near by actually. The staff all was great and seemed genuinely happy 😊 to see 👀 us. Jennifer is a great representative for your restaurant and would make a fine employee for any company. Highly recommend!

Rudys came recommended from several friends when they heard I was visiting Houston. Overall, underwhelmed. Brisket tasted of dirty smoke, Rudy’s sauce was good but the sissy sauce was…well, it was sissy so I guess aptly named. Potato salad was good though and the service was excellent, I just expect more from Texas brisket.

Not to eat off of, not to pass your meats around on. No. Plates. We ordered a pound each of brisket, turkey, and jalapeño sausage. All delicious. They have individual or shareable sides. We loved the potato salad, Cole slaw, and creamed corn. They also have spicy marinated carrots that are addictive! Super casual & kid friendly. You might even make new friends if you have to sit by someone you don’t know at the long banquet-style tables. Even without the plates, we go to Rudy’s for BBQ.

We were so excited to eat bbq for the first time in Houston. Walked in and Emilie took our order. I know good customer service when I see it, but I did not see it here. We asked what a few items were and she responded with “I don’t know,” and didn’t take the time to find out. We felt like we were rushed the entire time we were ordering and had no enthusiasm coming from her. It was a attitude you could definitely feel, which made our experience a not so good one. The food was alright. The wet brisket was definitely better than the regular brisket. Not the best brisket I ever had. The prices were alright, but wish they had sides that came with your choice of protein. All that in the picture came out to $45. Overall I rated 3 stars because of the poor customer service and the food quality. Not sure if I would eat here again.

Been many years since I've been to a Rudy's BBQ, Service was excellent, staff friendly and smiles and helpful and fast. Food was just So-so. nothing to brag about at all. would I eat at another Rudy's? Yes I would.

Rudy’s Country store has a large private parking lot write off of the feeder. As soon as you come I side you’re greeted with a “country store” selling food, t-shirts, souvenirs and snacks. As you enter the cavernous restaurant is open and inviting with large family style tables. Rudy’s has large menu boards with all of the Texas barbecue classics. They sell ribs, brisket (lean and fatty - get the fatty), sausage, and sandwiches made from these meats, sides and desserts. The cobbler was excellent. Rudy’s barbecue ribs and brisket was flavored fine and reasonably moist but personally for me they failed to provide that good pit smoke flavor from their food. There was a smoke ring but something was missing. I personally prefer eating bbq without sauce. All that I remember, was thinking this is good barbecue, but it was missing something. However, I think Rudy’s is a good choice to have a meal.

Fair. The lean brisket was dry. The brisket and ribs where clearly old. Seemed like reheated from the day before. Warm at best. Oddly, No one seems happy to be working there. Not miserable just...meh. If your close and are absolutely dying for smokey flavors then by all means, stop by. There are remarkably better locations for legit barbecue in Houston. Ask locals. This is clearly commercial grade barbecue at Rudy's.

Good service from the young lady at the register. I asked a half pound of prime rib, got 3/4. Too much but I didn't notice until I got home. Prime rib was tasteless, tough. No smoke or meat flavor. Beans were good, so was the cobbler. I like to sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. Then there was the tea.... almost $3 for what was just water, and I didn't add ice. How about adding tea bags next time? Once again I got a disappointment from this Rudy's. I stopped by because it was convenient, but I gotta remember to go to a different place. The other Rudy's on 249 or 290 are lots better. Further to drive but worth it.

Uninspiring and underwhelming. We ordered moist brisket, confirmed twice by cashier, then were given shoe leather tough lean. Took it back, got “moist” but still very not tender meat. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was quite good. I’d be happy to eat that again. The cole slaw lacked any flavor at all, was basically wet, chopped up cabbage. The new potatoes were ok. The green chili stew was decent. Tell me this is an anomaly and not what locals hype so much.

I like spicy but today the chile stew was unbearable hot. It was beyond edible. The food in general was not the usual goodness Rudy's is known for. I hope this was just an off day for the cooks.

We have eaten pickup here a few times, everything was good until our last visit, we generally order the same thing baked potatoes with meat. This last visit was the most unsatisfying meal we have received from them .we ordered for 415 pm pickup got there 407 pm alerted them we was there and within 5 mins they brought out our food, friendly greeting , wegot home one of the potatoes was lacking the proper amount of meat it should have had. Limited on the amt of condiments for the amount of potatoes, and the potatoes were very dry as if they was leftovers from a day or more, there was no moisture in the potatoes, the skins was literally seperared from the potatoes, we got two brisket and one double sausage potatoes the sausage was wonderful flavor but they was cut in coin style then in 1/4's which i wasnt fond of, next time (if we go back ) ill request to just use sliced sausage, there is however a new wendys located next to kfc on FM1960 @ aldinewestfield we have not tried yet

Came in just before closing for dinner. The order takers were somewhat impersonal. Not rude, just very matter of fact. Nobody was friendly. I got the chopped spiced beef and the jalapeno sausage. The beef was fine. Nothing special. The sauces provided at the table were virtually indistinguishable. Neither was labeled hot or mild and neither exactly tasted hot, nor did the beef. The sausage was worse: bland and somewhat lacking in casing snap. Both sandwiches were in generous portions. The potato salad was unmemorable. The banana pudding was so bad I didn’t finish it: generic pudding, soggy wafers, a load of whipped cream and zero bananas. Who does that? I did appreciate the fixins bar however. If you’re in town and want to get some authentic TX bbq, this might not be your place. The food isn’t special the service isn’t special and the prices are too much for what you get.

This is my first and last time ordering a loaded baked potato from Rudy’s. I’ve never had such a dried up potato that had to broken apart by forcing a fork into it. Definitely not worth ordering again. I gave them two stars because the pork ribs were good.

Ordered on doordash clicked on the option for special request. Stated this locaion dosnt have it. Well comman sense would tell you to add bbq sause on a potatoe and no send it out dry. BAD SERVICE …

If ordering to go make sure they include enough toppings before you leave, ordered 3lbs of brisket and only got enough toppings for maybe 2 people, kinda ruined our meal.

I placed a New Year’s eve dinner order through DoorDash from abroad for my stepdad, who is terminally ill. The only thing he wanted to eat today was brisket. When the dasher arrived, they informed me that the restaurant was out of brisket and said there were too many items to list as alternative options. Since brisket was the only meal my stepdad wanted, I asked for the order to be cancelled entirely. Despite this, DoorDash has refused to issue a refund, stating that because the order had already been started, it was not eligible for reimbursement. This is extremely frustrating and unfair, as the cancellation was due entirely to the restaurant being out of stock. This information should be clearly reflected in the app to prevent customers from ordering unavailable items. As a result, I now have no option but to dispute the charge with my credit card provider.

The ribs were dry. They taste like baked pork chops. This is not barbecue. I feel like they need to add more sides as well at least macaroni and cheese and yams.

This is a great place, all the people working that day were taking orders on their personal phones, it's sarcasm, as you can imagine, the worst experience in this place, the brisket was dry and the service was the worst, The person who took my order wasn't paying attention when ordering. I had to repeat my order several times. I hope the managers pay more attention to these details. this was my experience, I hope yours is better, good luck

Today the wife and I stopped by Rudy’s BBQ at 20806 North Freeway. With a surprising 4.6 star google review, we decided to give it a go. We know Rudy’s from our time in Colorado and we’re not impressed then but hoped this real Texas Rudy’s would change our mind. It failed to do so. Not just a little but crash and burn. Rudy’s leans into the country barn rustic theme. I am a big fan of their set up. You order à la carte style which gets pricey quick if you don’t agree on meats. The jalapeño sausage link was actually great! Plenty of heat packed into it just the way I like. The moist brisket was possibly the worst brisket I have ever received at any BBQ joint. Absolutely no flavor and a bit of a chew to the texture is just poor BBQ. The turkey was cooked well but seemed only seasoned with salt and a lot of it. The cream corn should probably be renamed to cream and corn. The texture felt very off with this side and also lacked any flavor. How they received this google rating is beyond me but I highly advise avoiding this Rudy’s.

First time and will be the last. I placed an order online for curbside pickup. I didn’t check it until I got home . . I ordered additional condiments (pickles, bread and sauce). This is what I received with no bread and a bag of onions that I didn’t ask for. And yes that’s ONE pickle
