Great experience! Christian took care of me and my friends. He was soooo nice and very accommodating. 10/10 dude. If you’re stuck at JFK come to New York Sports Grill and ask for Christian!
Slow to get started with service but they were busy. Ordered the wings with low expectations and was thinking I should have said fried hard just to avoid the half boiled mess some places give you. Not here. My guy in the kitchen is killing it. Great sauce. Blue cheese wasn't that flavored mayo a lot of places give you. Not cheap for 6 wings but they were six of the best wings I've had in a while. And until the finals came on, the dad rock playlist was superb.
We had my boys bachelor party here… and it was the BEST time! The gourmet muffin is to die for! Don’t sleep on the NYC bagel as a side, 10/10 Jam! Can’t recommend this spot enough! Would go to JFK just for this if they let me!
I had a long layover so I decided to give this place a try. The good, the bad and the ugly: Well the place is clean, easy to find a seat, the food was out in a timely manner and was decent. No, it's not the best burger and fries you ever had but it was decent. I definitely do not like the 10% covid charge. If you want to charge more, then charge more. Don't hide under some lame excuse. The place was a bit loud music for me. I like a conversation where I don't have to raise my voice. The best part of this experience was my server Jamal. He was quick, helpful, accurate, and was the best server I have had in a long time. I could not ask for better service. It was because of this service that I gave this place 5 stars. I would return.
As an airport restaurant this completely exceeded my expectations. It was packed but the service was still fairly quick and the waitstaff was very friendly. It was a Sunday afternoon and they were out of most of the draft beers, but one of the ones that they had left was an incredible find so no stars lost there. Food was fine also. A great Reuben.
What a wonderful way to end my NYC visit. The hostess Demetria (hope I spelled it correctly) couldn't have been more friendly and kind. Food was great and well-priced for an airport restaurant. Definitely visit if you have the opportunity.
finding gluten free options are hard as it is, the chef here seems to care a lot about how things are managed. the burger was decent, the $3 for GF bun is a little steep, but overall was nice. the side salad was very bad (as it can happen) but the chef took it very personal and wanted to immediately fix the situation, prepared a very nice salad to compensate. so the expirience changed dramatically. yes this is expensive but this is expected as this is located in an airport. recommended and if there is an issue it can happen, but instead of posting bad review just say something, you might be surprised that people actually care
There should be instructions on how to use this place! You seat yourself, use the QR code to order and pay ahead for food. Then they bring it to you. It was fine, but there was nothing telling you how to navigate it.
I had a fantastic experience at while waiting at the terminal! Anna and Dmitria were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made my meal so much more enjoyable. Their excellent service truly stood out. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Very nice restaurant for breakfast for a very reasonable price considered is inside JFK Terminal 5
I had to take the time out to leave a review only because of the great over the top customer service I was given by my waitress. I apologize if I mispell her name but I believe it was Tameekka. At the time they were out of the wine I requested and the option she recommended to me was great and after I mentioned I only had a little time to eat because my boarding time was coming up shortly she made sure my food was on my table with more than sufficient time to board my plane on time. The only issue I had was having to pay for my meal before i had a chance to actually see what i was paying for. Thanks again to tameekka for the great customer service and I hope her hard work is acknowledged.
Salmon dish came out better than expected! Asparagus was good too even if a bit heavier on the oil. Was looking around for a healthier sit down meal in Terminal 5 and glad I gave this a try, would definitely get it again Ordered via QR code at around 12:30pm, food came out in ~30min - make sure to ask for water when you get your food 🥤
Hungry before a flight with no meal. Airport choices are limited. A $9.99 sandwich or salad. Better is an omelette with potatoes and toasted bread, butter and jam for $12-14. Big coffee & milk for $4, free refill. Really tasty and a generous size. Service was reasonable fast. Be prepared for 20-30 min.
Customer service was super amazing!!! Friend ordered the wrong item and the staff was super helpful on getting what he wanted. The blue cheese burger was cooked perfected on a super delicious bun. Fries were cooked perfectly and some of the best fries I’ve had at an airport. The buffalo wings were super spicy but had such an amazing flavor that it may be one of the best wings I’ve had ever. Not for the faint of heart but definitely a must try for those that can handle a bit of heat. If I’m traveling out of JFK, I’ll be coming here every time!
Had the pleasure of grabbing a quick bite to eat and some wine from this establishment. Ordered French fries and a glass of Red Wine using the QR code menu on the table. A server noticed that I was waiting at the table but he didnt received my order on their system and promptly went to get my items. The wine I initially received wasn’t to my liking so I asked for another. One of the employees here named, Tara, came through and brought me a different wine glass! Tara also waited for me to try the wine before she left ensuring I was satisfied. I appreciate the good customer service.
A Culinary Oasis in JFK's Terminal 5: New York Sports Club Restaurant Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ In the hustle and bustle of JFK's Terminal 5, I chanced upon the New York Sports Club Restaurant for a quick lunch, and what a delightful experience it was! Here's a detailed lowdown of my visit: 1. The Staff: Truly the heroes of the day! They were incredibly courteous and professional and went above and beyond when I hit a snag with the mobile ordering system. It might've been a tech glitch, but two waiters pitched in to ensure I could place my order. The patience and customer-first attitude displayed by them were commendable. 2. Ambiance: Clean tables, a neat setting, and plenty of HD TV monitors created a pleasing environment. You can tell they've put thought into the décor – it's warm, inviting, and makes the wait for your flight infinitely more enjoyable. 3. The Food: Ah, the star of my visit! I ordered the Baby Arugula Salad, and let me say - it was divine. The salad was made of a harmonious mix of strawberries, candied pecans, and crumbled goat cheese, coupled with a drizzle of olive oil, red wine vinegar, and a balsamic glaze. It's a flavor medley that dances on your tongue and is surprisingly filling, seeing me through my subsequent 3-hour flight. 4. Service: Swift and efficient. My food arrived promptly after ordering, and this quick service is a boon in the world of airports! 5. A Tiny Glitch: The mandatory mobile ordering system was the only slight hiccup in an otherwise delightful experience. The software seemed a tad convoluted, and I wasn't the only one facing issues. I'd suggest they either provide a more straightforward platform or have an alternative method for the less tech-savvy among us. In conclusion, if you find yourself in JFK's Terminal 5 craving a delightful meal and heartwarming service, the New York Sports Club Restaurant should be your pit stop. I highly recommend it!
Excellent waitressing service, the food was surprisingly good for an airport. If you ever find yourself laying over at JFK I definitely recommend eating breakfast here! If Chef C is in the kitchen TRUST that food will be gooooooood !!!
Food was pretty good for airport food. I got the breakfast quesadilla and 2 rounds on moscow mules. I asked for extra cheese and they packed it with cheese, which I love. Moscow mules were tasty but very light on the alcohol. Very expensive, but as expected for airport food. What I absolutely loved was the staff. Every one was super nice and attentive, even though you order and pay online. I loved their attitude and they made sure to go a step above and beyond. Probably some of the best customer service I have ever received in an airport.
Great place to watch games, and good food and drinks. Big downside was speakers were too LOUD !! I don't think the crowd in a stadium would be this loud !!
Food is out in about 15 min, delicious fresh and hot. Staff is kind and attentive, and they make a good cocktail if you’re interested in one before your flight. Definitely a good option!
Had a layover and this spot seemed like the best to try after looking at other reviews. The burger and tenders actually were pretty good. Burger was flavorful , tenders were still juicy but had a nice crisp on it. Knocked off a star because it is overpriced . Liked that you can order via QR code.
The overall ambiance is calm and unhurried, allowing you to savor each bite of your meal at a leisurely pace. The service of the waitress was very attentive and assured that our cup of coffee was never empty. After finishing your meal, you feel refreshed and ready to continue your journey, having enjoyed a peaceful and satisfying start to your day.
During my JFK layover we decided to dine at New York Sports Grill. My husband ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and I ordered a Chicken Parmesan Pita. To place your food order, you have to use a QR code that was on the table, you pay on your phone. The food was just average, not the experience I'd hoped for. I've had better meals elsewhere.
The bartender, Kessamarie, had so much going on and was still super friendly and attentive. The kitchen was having issues and they ran out of glasses (this seems to always happen in airports for some reason) but they had a good amount of beers on tap. All in all a nice spot to catch a couple drinks at the bar while waiting for your flight
We had the veggie burgers and fries. The veggie burger was moist and tasty, with the works. The fries were pretty good, real potatoes. The staff are kind and busy so just be patient and kind in return. My take away order was ready in 15 minutes. Sports TVs throughout the restaurant provide entertainment. Very expensive. $37 for two veggie burgers.
This is a cool place to sit relax have a beer and order some food. I’ve been here before last time I got one of their burgers and it was really good this time I tried their fish and chips. They were kinda sad and they had no malt vinegar to go with the fish and chips. I feel like they need to have that when offering fish and chips. If I eat here again I’m most definitely get their burgers again. They have a huge selection of beer and drinks, a better place to get a drink and watch sports while you wait.
The food was mediocre, as expected. And cost a fortune ($28 for a breakfast burger), also as expected at JFK. What really brought down the quality of my experience is having to order with a tablet. They have perfectly good menus and I just wanted to pay with cash. Somehow this took the poor waitress 10 minutes of our time to accomplish. This OTG software is the definition of reinventing the wheel and making an octagon. On the plus side, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I feel bad for her having to work with this mediocre system that management probably grossly overpays for.
Ok. Ugh....I hate giving these. It took 35 minutes to be acknowledged by our server and an additional 20 minutes just to get our drinks minus the waters we ordered with our beverages. So, just about an hour being seated to getting our drinks. It wasn't super packed at that time, which is why I was disappointed. I come from the service industry... and I'm very patient and understanding. That being said, I ordered a Cosmo martini, and it was amazing! Good drinks for sure, expensive, but good. Good pub food, too. All in all, decent, unless you don't have a 3 hour layover. If you are in a time crunch, I would not choose this place. The hostess was awesome, though! Super cool and always made sure we were ok and not forgotten.
The servers were rude, slow and couldn't care less. They were chit chatting and arguing over who should take the next table. One dropped food (French fries, ketchup and mayo) down my husband's leg as she collided with the other server and didn't bother to even apologize! She stopped to clean up the mess but then walked away. Amazing. Never again. The food was decent but not worth the attitude
If your looking for slow service, overpriced drinks and food of an average quality this is the place for you. I thought the plastic utensils was a nice touch.
I was very disappointed with my experience. They require you to order everything from your phone using a QR code including all drinks. So that was a lame start. Had a Turkey BLT which was pretty sad. The French fries were also disappointing. Not the worst I have ever had, but nothing special. The bartender was a nice woman she was very busy and turned out drinks and food quickly. I would give her 5 stars, but the ordering platform makes for a bad experience when ordering anything other than food. Overall it’s a great idea, but poorly executed due to low quality ingredients and staff limited by the QR crap. I would say it’s also pretty expensive even for the airport. Would not repeat.
Not the best airport experience I've ever had. Bought one drink and paid $22. I knew it would be expensive but geez.
It’s what you expect from. Airport restaurant. The bar is low and they meet it with both the food and prices. I would confidently recommend this place to meet your food needs. The reason for the deduction of stars - 1. It’s super slow for an airport. 2. It’s a sports bar and not one TV has a clear pictures. They have about a dozen TVs.
New York Sports Grill at JFK provided a nice environment for having a drink and a bite to eat while waiting for your flight. The staff were friendly and accommodating considering the amount of people passing through the establishment. I had the Buffalo Wings, which were eatable, but lacked flavor. The mix drinks were OK but did not worth the cost. Overall, it is a nice place to hang out while awaiting your flight.
Over priced Airport food, not amazing but not bad; if you're hungry or want a drink to unwind I'd fancy this place. If you're on a budget you might have to starve.
The $25 burger is quite thin. Tasted fine but when you add taxes, tip and a small beer that looks less than the 16 oz promised the tab goes to $48 for a small beer and a burger with fries. Service is almost null and you are forced to order via an app which is time consuming, it took 15-20 minutes to prepare, once the app worked, so consider it if you are in a rush.
Food is pretty good for airport food. However the service is quite slow...it took like 15 min to just get a glass of water on the table lol. We ended up ordering the baby arugula salad and quesadilla. The quesadilla was pretty good, but we ordered the salad with chicken and there was none and not enough time to order some :( The salad was still ok nevertheless. Just wished there were a bit more toppings / flavors as there wasn’t much goat cheese or strawberries but a ton of arugula. Definitely better food choice than other airport restaurants in the airport! Regarding the area, it’s a pretty big space but the floor was really slippery for some reason? It wasn’t wet.... just greasy? Might be a safety hazard...
The service here… WOOF. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. Sandwiches we’re decent, fries weren’t very warm or flavorful. But again, the service was terrible. 😂 Granted, I’m sure some of the servers here are good, but not ours. We had to chase down our server after 20 minutes of waiting. This proceeded throughout the rest of the meal - any time we needed something we had to find our server (not just flag down, like literally track her down and beg for attention.) I waited for her behind a kiosk asking if I could get her assistance with my order when she finished up - she said yes, then proceeded to walk away to clear tables, drop off bills, then permanently disappeared in the kitchen. A bartender saw me waiting and ended up helping me (part of my order had never arrived.) Three other tables near us never got service and ended up leaving after the 20(ish) minute mark. Another had to go through the hostess to verify there was a server in our section. I hate giving bad reviews and used to work in the restaurant industry so I typically give a lot of grace, but rarely have I had a server get so in the way of the dining experience or her own tip. The only time she walked with purpose was when she was pretending not to see us flagging her down. Don’t go here if you have minimal time!
This place is way too poorly ran to charge what they charge. You’re paying the same price as what you’d pay at a full service sit down restaurant yet you’re getting sub par service. You order from a QR code and then a server brings your food out. I ordered onion rings with my meal and when my meal came she said there were no onion rings and gave me fries instead. Cool since I already paid the up charge for them. Also the fries were disgusting and mushy. Also maybe tell me ahead of time in case I wanted to change my order. We were there for about an hour and couldn’t even get waters. They don’t bring them out to you and when I asked the server for water she said she’d bring it out and she never did. $50 for 2 meals (no drinks) that were below average, should’ve just went to one of the “regular” restaurants.
Man the food was horrid. I had the NY Cheesecake and it was mushy, soggy and drenched in chocolate sauce. Also there are waiters, but they run in and out of the storage room and don't talk to you. You have to order through a menu by scanning a QR code.
Took them 45 mins to bring out a takeout mobile order of chicken tenders. There were 3 and it cost $20. Almost missed my flight. I understand airport food sucks but I think you can safely get better value for your money anywhere else in the terminal.
If you want to kill a lot of time for expensive, subpar food, this is the place for you. Like most of the reviews here, I ordered nachos that took about 20 minutes to come out. I understand that the food’s made to order, but… it shouldn’t take 20 minutes to put shredded cheese on chips and pop it in the oven. I would understand more if I ordered steak or something. But come on, I feel like this should’ve been out way faster. There was also this poor lady behind us who was basically begging the staff for her turkey burger which she was waiting for a loooong time for. I’m pretty sure she almost missed boarding for her flight. Anyways, shoutout to the bartender (I didn’t get his name.) but he was definitely accommodating and trying his best.
Staff will not help or answer any questions. They just tell you to order via the app🤷♂️ 45 minute wait for food restaurant is half empty is all I ordered is a Caesar salad and wings. Luckily the flight is delayed. They do have an excellent selection, a beer and tons of TVs
Spent 45 minutes waiting for my food with moderate crowd. They gave my food to the wrong person. Beer selection is sort of decent. Everything is massively overpriced. $25 chicken wrap. $16 beer
This place is a mess. No serving organization. Once I was seated, it took almost 30 minutes for the waiter to notice me and take my order. Meanwhile 3 tables that came after me were able to order, receive their food and, in one case, pay and leave. Food is passable. The orange juice appears to be diluted with lots of water and ice cubes.
Firstly it's barcode only service for ordering just like most of the places in the airport. Frustrating as it can get, people stood idle waiting for the orders to arrive rather than just take the order. Obviously it takes time to do the qr code ordering. And when you do order you have to select what percentage of tip you want to give, from memory, 15, 20 or 25%. A service tip and they don't even take the order? It's a joke. Beer was forgotten and once I had chased it eventually arrived about 40 minutes from when I first arrived. Food on par with Weatherspoons. With taxes and tips a pint of Stella cost 19$. You have been warned.
Nothing special about this place, even for an airport restaurant… Pay before you eat… what’s that about? they want you to input personal info in an app just to order. App ask for name, email, phone # and credit card info, all this just to get a burger? Come on!! We declined to do so and got a server, he took the order and, again told us that we needed to pay before receiving our food. Food was average, Turkey BLT had no cheese and the onion rings no dipping sauce. Also, prices are crazy. Paid $24 for the BLT + $5 for a Pepsi, plus tip that the server assigned himself…. DO NOT Recommend
Might be ok for a quick burger and a beer. I will not be returning for breakfast. I only went here as it was right by my departure gate. The food was not too good and the restaurant seemed to be dirty (bad smell). Due to the lack of options in terminal 5, this restaurant appears to be busy. Steer away and go to dunkin or starbucks instead. Ull be much happier.
I'll start with the positives. Quesadilla with chicken was bomb! Chunky and great flavor, I'd definitely grab this if I was heading through these gates again. Nachos were fine but they were missing the beans that were suppose to come with them. The chicken ceasar wrap was mostly lettuce and for some reason tasted like pickles (maybe a NY thing? Not sure) for sure won't get that again. Drinks were not very good. The bad: Waited about 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and find us a seat. Waited another 20 until I tracked down our server so that we could order food. Waited about another 15 for drinks, 25 for food. Couldn't find waiter through out the meal and had to fetch our own napkins and silver ware, then waters, then the check and it wasn't really even crowded at this point. I'd suggest ordering and paying right away unless you want to be stuck here. We were probably here an hour and a half. Morale of the story-order a beer and the chicken quesadilla.
This restaurant has unfortunately gone downhill over the last several years. The inside shows alot of wear on the walls, booths and tables. Place needs a deep clean (as do most of the other eateries). Lots of wait staff, very little service. Ordering is via QR code. Food is mediocre at best. Very expensive for what it is. Might be best to hold out until you get where you're going or get a combination of snacks at one of the convenience stores.
We came for a regular black coffee here. There was only 3 tables taken and we had to wait like 15 minutes to get our coffee at the table that was in the cup to go. $5 coffee taste like pure quality, burnt and very watery drink.
The bar was packed to the credit of the staff who were bustling around. There was a small table sign that was almost turned around backwards that told people to wait to be seated. The hostess was in the back of the bar and couldn’t be seen from the front, so people either sat themselves effectively cutting in line or had to go and find the hostess to be seated which ate up 5-10 minutes of time. I would recommend putting the hostess in the front where everyone enters so the host doesn’t have to keep chasing people down. It didn’t feel like there were enough servers for the volume of individuals in the facility, but the service as a whole was spotty. It took us 18 minutes and me asking for a server to see us to take our order and an additional 40 minutes to get our food. Our plane was boarding so we had to eat in under 5 minutes. Food was nothing to write home about. I received one slice of tomato on my hamburger, the “medium” burger patty was definitely more “well done”, the French fries appeared to have come out of a frozen bag as opposed to fresh as they were squishy and tasteless, they gave us ketchup packets instead of a bottle which led us to needing to find a server to ask for more packets, and we didn’t receive utensils or napkins. Definitely overpaid for the quality of the food. Quantity of food was relatively fair. A single 16 oz beer cost $11 - however, that may be airport wide. I asked for the check when we ordered and that is the only reason we were able to eat and pay before leaving. Finally, the manager seemed more interested in watching the football games than actually checking on his own staff or patrons. This place really needs a lot of work - would recommend going elsewhere.
Dirty restaurant, over priced, food that tastes like it came off the back of a large truck and went straight into a fryer. Bright spot? Service was OK, maybe that's because it was fairly empty? Beware, a tip is automatically added even though you don't get "real" table service. Avoid and grab something at the food court....or better yet, make a food purchase outside T5 and bring it with you.
Servers rude and have no sense Never had a bacon egg and cheese that taste like it’s been sitting in a barn for 2 months Worst food ever I told them make the bacon well done they gave it to me the total opposite and to add insult to injury it’s 12 dollars they charged me for that uncooked egg sandwich on a bagel don’t waste your time eating here they make food out the microwave
Slow service, restaurant forces you to pay and tip before you get your food, no complimentary appetizer while you wait, waiter was so lazy that he had me entering my own damn card details on his tablet. Food came out after a long while. When we wanted to get boxes and more water, waiter dissapeared into narnia. Shitty service is why they have you tipping beforehand. Food's overpriced and mediocre. French dip is literally tasteless. Atmosphere is just a bunch of cheap TV's with a bunch of random old songs playing.
The female server charged me the tip without my consent when I made the order. I realized it after seeing the receipt that was sent by message. At least make your client aware of the tip before charging it.
We were seated quickly and they were seating people when we left. We asked if someone was going to take our order after waiting 15 MINUTES WITHOUT EVEN BEING ACKNOWLEDGED and the lady (waitress I guess) yelled at my husband and said we had to "give them a second because they only had 2 people." Why they were still seating people when they couldn't provide service is beyond me. We left and went to Deep Blue where the service is 10,000 times better....
Terrible from the top down. No way to talk to a server before ordering. Allergen, and other food requests or concerns be damned. No ingredient or allergen information listed on menu items and nobody can check. Order from a QR code with no guarantee you will get your requests (no dairy, no nuts, no eggs…). To top it off you are required to pay and tip before even placing your order.
Terrible and really slow service, hostess seated us and our server took 15 minutes to even say hi to us and put in our order. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive, food even longer. We had only ordered water and soda. Our food came out and the grilled chicken was extremely tough. We were sitting with dirty plates in front of us for at least an hour. When we finally got our check, we never saw our server again except for when he was catering to other tables that had arrived after us. A different server noticed how long we had been waiting and took the check herself. We arrived at 2pm and left at 4:40pm for what should have been an hour meal.
Terrible service, disorganized management and improper and double billing. We had two $12 Jet Blue Food coupons which this establishment has, I'm sure, seen before as they are exactly opposite a Jet Blue Gate and these certificates are given for delayed flights. We presented the coupons and not one person knew how to use it with their "computerized system." Nevertheless, i was told my coupon was accepted and charged $5 for the excess charge. Despite a manager's "help," my wife's coupon was never successfully applied. Moreover, not only did I NOT get my change for the $5 payment, despite repeated requests no receipts were given. We left when our delayed flight was called for boarding. Upon returning home, my CC bill showed that neither coupon was honored, or even my $5 payment AND I was charged full price for both meals. I would NEVER us this disorganized place where no one knew how to properly operate their own billing system.
I have low expectations for airport restaurants, but this place somehow managed to crash through that seemingly impenetrable floor with ease. Worst Rueben of my life, and I once suffered badly from food poisoning from one. To order, one scans a QR code for the menu and payment is online. You’re forced to decide whether to leave tip in advance. But after we ordered, it took more than 30 minutes to get our simple bar food (Rueben, grilled cheese, and 2 quesadillas). Forgot to bring the drink included in kids meal. Had to follow-up. When the orders finally came, fries were stale. Thankfully we had plenty of time before our flight. But what about people in a rush?! This is an airport for God’s sake!!! Wouldn’t come here again if it was last place to eat in Terminal 5.
We def picked the wrong day to eat here! Food was awful, stale nachos, soggy cold fries, an attempt at a buffalo chicken salad that was more lettuce, tomatoes and chicken with some hot sauce thrown on top. Over $100 bill for 3 items, all poorly served and made. Didn’t even bother to speak to the staff because they appear so overwhelmed and most likely understaffed.
Bad experience. JUST WALK 20 FEET AND GO TO THE MEXICAN RESTAURANT. The servers were not polite, I felt like I was on a joint, and the food was meh. Push people to scan the QR for the menu and order, then pay. So they think they don't need to make customers comfortable. I wanted to know what the soup of the day was, and the server rolled her eyes. You need to pick up all your food at once in a hurry, with serves just wanting you to spend money. Tipping has to be done when paying at the beginning. So they will get tips, no matter how you are treated. A group of waitresses stood by our table to gossip and curse about their personal lives, scrolling, twerking videos, and acting like they were at a pickup bar. Not suitable for a family group. One star, because the food was quick. Otherwise, there are no stars.
Great food but thr prices are inflated and ridiculously overpriced.
Horrible service/ drinks. My sister ordered a Moscow Mule and was served vodka and lime juice. When we went confronted the bartender she said “oh yeah we’re out of ginger beer”. So she basically made the drink thinking we wouldn’t notice. Was served a moldy carrot cake and when we confronted the manager he said he was gonna “look into it”. We watched him laugh with his staff. Two servers then came over and brought us a new piece of cake and tried to sing happy birthday but my husband stopped them because we were already over it. Servers then laughed and said “we were rehearsing in the back just for you guys”. Real clown energy from the manager and staff. Highly recommend not tipping because you’re basically doing everything yourself.
Wish I read reviews first. Horrible food, no service, slow, and priced ridiculous. Order your own food online, the server delivers food, and you'll never see them again. Dry, frozen fries, most disgusting overcooked Reuben. Spouse had steak frittes, which were overcooked also. Run from this place!
BEWARE OF POTENTIAL WATER SCAM This place is running what seems to be a scam. It’s a seat-yourself setup, so there’s no staff interaction to inform you about anything on the table. I sat myself down and found an unlabeled bottle of water on the table. I looked around, and there was nothing on any of the tables around me. When I opened the QR menu, i saw a pop-up ad to order pellegrino and aqua pana. There was no sign, no price, and no indication that this "echo" brand bottle was for sale. I naturally assumed it had been left behind by a previous customer. After ordering, receiving, and closing out my bill, I was THEN informed I was being charged for the water. When I raised this issue, the staff apologized and claimed they’d escalated the same feedback from other confused/"tricked" guests to management several times. However, nothing has changed. There’s still no signage, no labels, and no effort to make this clear to avoid pototentially scamming customers.
Potentially worst service experience of my life. Was given a single beer to taste, look up to order it and waitress disappeared. This is after waiting almost ten minutes to be acknowledged. Bar stinks with all the taps in your face.
I think that the people who rate this place highly are clients for the alcohol. That and maybe they just got out of jail. I had the mozzarella sticks and onion rings. Neither were tasty or crispy. The only thing that these reheated frozen processed food like substances had in common with the original was their damage to a healthy diet. The wait staff were the best part of this place. Service is a bit of an exaggeration since we are forced to use an app and hassled to get on their mailing list. What we have here is automated self service and a bunch of re heat microwaves. And beer. I told other travelers to give it a pass. And my advice to you dear readers, is to keep walking. There are some real restaurants nearby.
I had to chase down the server to ask if we can order. She told me hold on. After 20 minutes of us waiting and flagging her down she totally ignored us. We got up and left without ordering. I’ll never patronize them again. Horrible & rude service. If you didn’t want to be bothered Nadine you shouldn’t have come to work. Terrible service
We had a terrible experience! Nobody was there to greet us when we arrived. So we sat down and ordered using the QR code. Then the wait began. After 20 mins we noticed that servers appeared and began seating and serving other guests but no one came to our table. After another 20 mins, I flagged down a server and asked about our order. She eventually came back with food but no drinks. After another 10 mins I flagged down another server to get drinks. While we're waiting for ours, other guests arrived were served and finished before we ever received our drinks. The servers told us they were busy, but it seemed like everyone else was served just fine. Oh and the best part is that when you order from the app you add your tip when you order. I gave 20 percent for this nightmare. Honestly was a disappointment. Would have been nice to be treated like a person. And the order was messed up too. Burnt my son's bagel, forgot the whipped cream on my daughter's insanely expensive waffle and no half and half for my stale coffee.
Worst service ever. Waited 40 minutes for a chicken wrap. When I asked the server, they said let me check and never came back. When I saw the server again, I asked them to cancel it. They asked if I wanted it to go. I told them no and they said you have to request a refund, they charge in advance through an app. I asked a lady walking by if she was the manager and she said yes, kept walking, and never came back.
We arrived in the JFK because our grand daughter had a 2 hr relay from Connecticut to Fla. We met in the morning to eat breakfast but, we weren’t allowed to sit and eat because we didn’t have flight tickets. Therefore i can’t say how good or bad the Grill was. The only choice was to grab coffee and munchkins from Dunkin Donuts. I think JFK, imo.. should have a place to sit and eat while waiting with family. If I could give a ZERO to JFK’s atmosphere I would.
You get shown to a seat and made aware that you order via an app. There was a server standing behind the bar but no, can't give her an order or ask a question, you have to scan a qr code to start the process of ordering. Welcome to the modern soul-less world where interactions are frowned upon and everything digital must be embraced. Ordering via an app means you have to enter your email and phone number too. Nothing like a bit of data harvesting of your personal details when all you want is a drink or food. The bonus to this is that you can make up stupid fictious email addresses and include the White Houses phone number rather than your own. As to be expected the prices are exorbitant. Plus you have to pay a tip (mine was almost $3) just because someone poured a drink and put it in front of you. No real interaction, warmth or friendliness but hey guess they're laughing as it's money for old rope for them and it's the tipping epidemic that's the new American craze. So $19.03 for a large glass of beer, a small glass of water, an uncomfortable bar stool and the same level of social interaction as you'd get poking roadkill with a stick. Glad I didn't bankrupt myself by ordering food.
DO NOT LET THE PICTURES FOOL YOU. I ordered a medium steak with eggs over medium. The steak took about 20 minutes to come out even though they were at about a 30% occupancy. The steak was straight up cold and raw. There’s rare and there’s just raw. Looked like they seared a frozen steak on each side for 5 seconds before serving it up. Even my wife’s food was cold. We had to ask the waiter for straws multiple times. There no waiters, you order your food off a QR code and they force you to tip before you even get your service or food. This was the worst $100 I’ve spent of food for a party of 2. I would rather have had McDonald’s than the garbage they gave us here. Their eggs wouldn’t be this rubbery… mind you, I asked for an over medium and the yolk was solid. The potatoes were the only edible part of this meal and they were cold and stale.
