This place is incredibly special. Even though it's a large space the staff and grounds make you feel like you are in an intimate space! The food... do yourself a favor and order the off menu hand made mozzarella! Incredible!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Brasswood Kitchen for lunch! We ordered the “secret” menu item of bread with mozzarella for an appetizer that was absolutely incredible. We then shared some pizzas and a pear prosciutto salad. The food came out quickly and the server was very attentive. If I’m ever back in the area doing some wine tastings, I’ll certainly be back.

Our recent visit to Restaurant at Brasswood & kitchen in wine country was an absolute standout. We were a group of 10 and Nestor helped us and made it easy for reservation From the moment we sat down, it was clear that this is a place where food takes center stage and every detail is thoughtfully executed. The menu is a showcase of bold, beautifully presented dishes that make dining feel like an event. The wood-fired pizza and lamb chops, glistening with a rich cabernet reduction and served over creamy potato puree, were a highlight—tender, deeply flavorful, and perfectly capturing the primal appeal of food cooked over an open flame. The simplicity of the grilled bread topped with creamy burrata and fresh rosemary was equally impressive, offering a bright, elegant bite that balanced the meal’s richer elements. The wood-fired pizza, with its molten blend of cheeses, spinach, and caramelized onions, arrived straight from the oven, delivering that irresistible combination of smoky crust and luxurious toppings. What sets apart Brasswood is the way the kitchen marries the rustic intensity of wood-fired cooking with precise, thoughtful preparation. The dishes are unpretentious yet undeniably sophisticated—each one crafted to deliver maximum flavor without unnecessary fuss. The atmosphere complements this approach perfectly: a warm, inviting space with the subtle hum of the wood-fired oven and an easy flow between kitchen and table that makes the experience feel seamless and personal. From the dramatic presentation of the lamb chops to the comforting perfection of a freshly fired pizza, this delicious Napa Valley Restaurannt delivers a dining experience that is both memorable and deeply satisfying. The food speaks for itself, and it does so with confidence. This is a restaurant where the focus is squarely on what’s on the plate—and where every dish leaves you eager for the next bite.

Enjoyed a great meal here on Sunday night. The service was excellent, friendly and professional, and very perceptive. We chose to sit in the quieter side of the restaurant because they had some very comfortable looking wing back chairs there, but never once did we feel forgotten. Our server came many times throughout the evening to check on us, and paced our meal nicely so we could enjoy each dish and did not feel rushed. We started with their recommended homemade mozzarella which was thick, gooey and deliciously savory, it was very moreish and satisfying. Then we moved onto the clam & mussels with chorizo, this was equally as delicious and had a nice spicy note, the sauce was so good! For our mains, my husband had the scallop with pea risotto, which was perfectly cooked and had some very tasty complimenting carrots. I had the confit duck with three cheese risotto. The duck was crispy and falling off the bone tender and complimented the creamiest risotto. A very delicious and all round comfortable evening for us and will definitely look forward to coming back.

Great spot for solid food choices. The courtyard provides a great place to hang and is a respite after a meal or after a wine tasting. We sat on the patio in a cool Sunday in September in the later part of the afternoon. Our server provided a balance of privacy and table touches. Our preference is privacy (more European and Asian expectations) over an overly-social style that many people expect in US restaurants. We were definitely comfortable after a cocktail/mocktail, a shared starter, and individual entrees, but we were swayed to order a dessert pretty easily. Did we need the strawberry shortcake? No. Did we enjoy it? Of course!

Amazing food!!! We ordered several dishes and my parents were impressed by all of them (they’re quite picky eaters) which shows how good this place is. The mozzarella on toast, which is apparently their secret menu(?), was phenomenal and the other dishes, including the pork chop, truffle fries, duck bolognese, and the risotto were all amazing as well. Nothing was too salty nor bland and had the perfect balance, making it super easy to clear the plate. My favorite was the risotto :)

Attentive service, well-made cocktails (Brasswood Old Fashioned), delicious mozzarella cheese appetizer and entrees large enough to share! The grilled pork chop with pomegranite reduction was moist and flavorful. Crème brûlée and strawberry shortcake were both extraordinary endings to a fantastic meal and atmosphere! Highly recommend and will return!

The risottos were a little hard and undercooked. It was a bit disappointing, because I expected better for a pricey meal. That being said, we overall had a good experiencd. We had the risotto with the duck leg, risotto with seared scallops, and shishito peppers. The scallops were fantastic; tender, well-seasoned, and browned to perfection. The duck was very flavorful and had yummy crispy skin! Maybe the risotto was just a bad batch, but everything else was great!

Delicious! The mozzarella, Caesar salad and flan were incredible, plus the modern farmhouse setting was fun. Hope to be back on next visit to wine country!

Want to give 6 stars to the food. Love the seasonal pizza(fig+prosciutto), warm brussel sprout salad, duck lasagna, and pork chop (preference by order). Have to say try the pizza there for sure. Very much the same as from pizzas at Sicily, Italy. I will go again.

Brasswood is truly a hidden gem in Napa! The food is always so yummy and beautifully done, and the service is consistently great. It’s the perfect spot for a girls’ night or celebrating a birthday such a fun, lively vibe. Definitely a go to when you want good food and a great atmosphere!

Wow! The food and service were just off the charts! The wine pairing was so great - the wines were so complementary! We were so impressed by the service that Josh and Chef Chris provided. The fresh pulled mozzarella was just phenomenal! So fresh and delicious! The grilled fruit stone and the wine were so great together. The dish alone was good too! The gnocchi was so buttery…we would have licked the plate clean! Duck - wow. We don’t normally like duck, but it was really great with the wine. Wagyu melted in your mouth! We would definitely go back!

Such a great farm to table restaurant! High quality and excellent service. The aesthetic and views were great! The food was amazing! You have to get their homemade mozzarella on warm toast (not on the menu) because they make it in house. Pair this with the side or heirloom tomatoes for a matchmake in heaven. Highly recommend ordering their frito misto for that light crunch and seafood/veg mix. As a pleasant surprise, the side of truffle fries were SO. GOOD. You can’t go wrong with anything here.

Bring a empty belly and a person in your life who you have a friction relationship with. Sit down, eat the food and your spirits will be lifted. You will certainly mend any friction in your life and possibly fall in love no guarantees.

Stopped in for dinner. Love the place. Our waiter was great. Food was great. We had the wedge and green salads. Both were good but there was a little too much dressing on the wedge. It made up for it by having lots of large bacon pieces. The duck bolognese was an interesting take on the dish. It was well prepared but I couldn’t tell that it was duck. The scallops on risotto was perfectly cooked.

Brasswood Kitchen is amazing! Great location, amazing food and fantastic service. The mozzarella on toast is a MUST have….SO GOOD! This isn’t on the menu, you’ll have to ask for it if the waiter doesn’t offer it. The pasta dishes are very well done and you can do half and half. I got the butternut squash and the short rib sugo. We also had the steak salad that was delicious.

We loved our experience at Brasswood. Service, food, and atmosphere were great! I would recommend the mozzarella!!

Overall very nice place with very reasonable pricing. The staff was super professional and accommodating. They checked in with us & were very considerate. The prosciutto salad was very refreshing. The lamb tasted excellent. It’s not going to contain too much meat if you’re really hungry, but it was very tender and came with a delicious sauce. We also got the mozzarella bread appetizer. It was very savory. I look forward to coming back here another time

Brasswood did not disappoint! I have had pastries from here many a time and finally was treated to their delicious food and wine pairing! Chef Chris Johnson and his team did a wonderful execution in their menu highlighted Brasswoods wines by Angelina Mondavi. Staff, including barstaff, were incredibly hospitable. Overall warm and welcoming with ample selection should you chose to eat or drink without the pairing.

The food was more than perfect. We had a spread of dishes to share because we couldn’t chose out of so many good options. The fresh mozzarela is a must, and the pasta dishes were perfect. The service was the best I’ve seen in a long time, with a knowledgable and enthusiastic person sharing their knowledge and passion for their food with us. I would return to Napa Valley just for this restaurant!

It is always a treat to stop here when we visit the area. We were not disappointed. Our party included vegans who were able to be accommodated with multiple dishes. The mozzarella was delicious as always, along with the fritto misto.

I dined here for my birthday. All of the food we ordered, from the fresh mozzarella appetizer to my birthday cake which l ordered ahead of time, was amazing. I don't think I've ever had anything quite like the mozzarella, it has a unique texture and is covered in tasty olive oil and herbs. The scallop main tasted great and was nicely presented. It was pretty packed for a Sunday night. Get spot in St. Helena and the price point is very reasonable.

We stopped by Brasswood Bar + Kitchen on a Saturday midday after a nearby wine tasting, without any prior recommendations, and were pleasantly surprised! Despite it being a busy time, we found a spot and received excellent service with great recommendations from the staff. The fresh mozzarella was a standout, and both the risotto and duck were fantastic. The food arrived quickly, and our party of four left extremely happy. A great spot for a delicious meal in wine country—highly recommend!

It’s rare to go out to dine and find out everything is perfect! This place deserves 6 stars in my opinion. We will return again, and I hope that the fine food, excellent service and fair prices never changes. Excellent job Brasswood!

One of the absolute BEST restaurants in Wine Country! The service was flawless (the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave fantastic recommendations), the ambiance was great, the cocktails were pretty and the food was impeccable! I couldn’t find one dish that I was not satisfied with. There are no words for the house made mozzarella… it isn’t on the menu and a “secret item”, but it was the star of the show!

We did the Sensory Tour Tasting. Josh our tasting guru guide was very energetic and knowledgeable on all forms of food and the wine pairings. He gave us a tour of the facilities and wine cave just across car park. Ask him to sing he has a very gifted voice. We then went to bar at restaurant...make sure you try the mozzarella fresh made...warmed and served with fresh tomatoes and basil...OMG...their signature plate. Thanks Josh we will be back and be recommending to others 2015 Syrah came home with me awesome 😎.

I came into the restaurant having had a tough day and Neil immediately offered the fresh made to order mozzarella dish and Bourdeaux blend red wine. He hit the nail on the head both times and then I ordered the warm Brussels sprout salad which was amazing! I highly recommend the panna cotta dessert if even just to clean your palate on your way out of the door! Amazing food, impeccable service and lovely ambience. I’d highly recommend Brasswood Bar + Kitchen to anyone visiting!!

Very attentive and friendly service, great atmosphere, and awesome food. We got spaghetti and meatballs, salmon and mashed potatoes, and the mozzarella bread. Loved it all. Brasswood was the highlight of our recent Napa trip. Definitely coming back next time we are in St Helena.

Absolutely love this place. Do get their Frito Misto. I personally prefer getting it rather than their more popular cheese-and-bread appetizer. My family always asks about their seasonal pizzas, and every time, it is always fantastic. Overall, very reasonably priced, delicious, and very welcoming.

You MUST order the mozzarella appetizer, it is phenomenal. Scallops, duck confit, pizza, and dessert were outstanding as well. Great atmosphere with friendly servers and bar staff. Attached to a tasting room, small bakery, and boutique. Also had a super cute Christmas pop up bar when we visited!

We came in expecting to just have an appetizer…(of course we had heard about the famous bread and mozzarella). We were immediately greeted by Neil, who suggested several wine pairings along with oysters. When we were deciding between two whites, Neil read our minds and seamlessly dropped off a taster that made it on the list of top five tastes of the entire menu for one of our guests. Before we knew it, we had ordered the entire menu, all recommended by Neil. The half order of spaghetti and meatballs was perfectly al dente, the halibut was accompanied by amazing rice, and the steak had perfect reduction and cooked to perfection! Everything we wanted, Neil anticipated….. espresso? Done! Birthday dessert recommendations? Easy! Neil ensured our dinner experience felt special and we ended the meal wishing we lived closer so we could come back soon.

We went there for lunch on a rainy afternoon. We were looking forward to wood fired pizzas. We ordered the mozzarella on toasted bread as an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. The Old Fashioneds were very tasty. They had a hint of something we have not experienced before. The bartender said it was the homemade syrup they use. We ordered pizzas for our main meal and was later told they can't cook pizzas when it is raining. Our service was exceptional and very apologetic about the pizzas.

We decided on an appetizer lunch. The table shared the Fritto Misto, Beef Carpaccia, House made mozzarella on bread & drizzled with olive oil, the Stone Fruit & Prosciutto sald and the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli. Everything was wonderful & the service was great too. I highly recommend.

This is a really nice and cosy place to have dinner in Napa Valley. The service was attentive and friendly, the food very nicely presented & super tasty, and the ambiance was inviting - a definite recommendation. I take away one star as we had a surprise at the end on the check: They added a so called “wellness fee” which is basically nothing else but the customer paying the employe’s health insurance. These fees are prohibited by Californian state law since July 2024. Such additional costs must be put into the menu price itself.

Food was quite good, but the service could have been more attentive. The scallops were excellent.

There are many things I enjoyed about the restaurant, the ambiance was inviting and the server was attentive and professional. However, I didn't enjoy the lamb chops and harissa sauce combo.

Enjoyed our lunch at Brasswood. Pizza had a great crust, nice atmosphere.

This place was recommended by our wine server for lunch. It's clearly popular, we were told it would be an hour wait to be seated. When we said we didn't want to wait that long, we were redirected to the grab and go bakery. No lines and great food. We split a ham and cheese, with house potato chips and got a canola for dessert.

It really is more like 4.5 stars. Service is very friendly and quick. There menu offers a wide variety of salads, main courses, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. Make sure you get their fresh mozzarella, it is not on the menu, but they have it all the time. They strech the warm mozzarella over grilled bread tableside and top it with extra virgin olive oil, salt, and rosemary.

We had a big dining room booked for a big party of about 20 people. Since we had the reservation we were swiftly taken to our seating area which was behind the main restaurant, near the outdoor seating. The restaurant was very busy. We started with the wine, which was okay. I enjoyed the Keenan, Merlot. Although not a fan of Merlot but this one took me by surprise. The other wine Titus was a cab which was so so. Lamp chops, was so so. I did not enjoy it much since it lacked flavour. My personal favourite was the steak. It was served with broccolini and a layered potato. Steak was delicious and to die for. It was cooked perfectly. The stacked potatoes and the greens were like cherry on top. Also had the famous mozzarella appetizer with bread, which was yummylicious. Service I thought was not upto the mark. They only had a couple of servers who clearly were struggling with such a large group. Overall a good experience. Would love to try another time.

The fresh mozzarella appetizer should not be missed! Our margarita pizza was okay. Didn’t have that pizza oven char that I expected. The Short Rib Sugo was quite good. Ambiance is peaceful if you sit outside. Service was wonderful.

Good food. Thin & anemic dressing for the wedge , but overall a very good wedge.

C

Inside the restaurant was very cold even with the heater going. The food was very good, and service was awesome. After we ate we were escorted to an outside area with a fireplace, but it was too cold out there, and no wait staff. I felt like once our meal was complete, we were kind of pushed out.

J

Brasswood was a very interesting meal. We started with the hot mozzarella which was amazing. My wife ordered the scallops and risotto. She actually had to ask for salt because the meal was so underseasoned. The salt fixed her meal. I ordered the steak. The cook was inconsistent and it was overcooked. The potatoes also needed some salt. 3/5 but the food was the biggest downside .

F
Fa Arechiga

Bland flavorless overcooked pastas. The short rib was chewy and the supposed to be duck bolognese I'd swear it was turkey for how plane it was. Service tho and cocktails were awesome. The place is beautiful.

N
Nicole Dennis

The flies are such a disturbance. The fly fan on our table didn't deter them. The brussel sprout salad and beet salad along with the mozzarella appetizer that everyone knows about yet isn't on the menu was delicious. Portions are on the smaller side.
