China Fun

The online ordering adds a lot of convenience and the food was super good. Plus the sesame chicken is the right color not having the fake red color.

Spent two weeks in St. Petersburg and had been dining at this take out restaurant most of our time, because the food was better than many restaurants that we tried. They even cater to vegetarians...just ask the friendly owner. Once you've tried the food, you wouldn't mind driving the distance back to the restaurant because the food was so tasty and so yummy. My friend's seven years old daughter loved the food so much that she got excited when we said we would get dinner at China Fun. Price was inexpensive and decent.

One of the best Chinese take-away joints in the area. Food is fresh and hot, flavors are nice, portions are generous. And they make a few unusual things, like General Tso's TOFU, and a cheeseburger eggroll- really yummy. Singapore Mei Fun is fabulous! Visited half a dozen times in recent months, always very pleased.

Mongolian beef is more like Mongolian onion. Sesame chicken was great. Overall delicious and good value.

They made her chicken mei fun without the vegetables without an issue. The hot an sour soup was a perfect combination of sour, salty, and hot. The egg rolls and crab rangoon were served with a cup of the traditional red sweet and sour sauce which was an appropriate viscosity. The seafood soup was mild and very seafood forward. We ordered online and the staff was absolutely lovely when I went to pick it up. A very good experience overall.

I have never had as good as a Mongolian beef as here. I have had it all over Tampa Bay, comparing it to China Fun , I still crave this establishment of their dish. I don't know all their other dishes, but they are a small ownership worth ordering from because they make one of my top 3 favorite foods.:)

This is truly the best classic Chinese take out in Pinellas County. The couple that owns it are hard working and always pleasant. The food is consistently delicious. Fresh vegetables that you can tell are hand cut. My wife is Vegan, and they have plenty of options for her. We are moving to Tarpon Springs, but we have already decided to still come here when we get Chinese. They stay pretty busy, so I recommend calling ahead!

Hard to find good Chinese food in St. Pete. This place is one of the few decent spots. Our food was great, but they forgot the sauce for my Dim Sum. Take out only. Food made while I waited (I waited outside).

I like their Chinamerican food! I am always treated like they REALLY like me, but its still nice. I withheld one star as they fervently ans far too often come to my residence ALL OF THEM as well as people I’ve never seen there. I live in a rather large condo complex with 400 homes. They can put their menus on EVERY door in less than an hour

I've eaten at China Fun more times then I can remember. Each time the food was great and it didn't take long for them to get the order ready. I think the longest I've waited was about 15 minutes when picking up my order. The people that work here are great. I've been to this place so much they know my order lol..

MENU: 4 stars. Not much bad to say about China Fun. I like the food I get every time I order, and it's always the same thing: chicken wings with pork fried rice. I can't say too much about other items, but what I get is typically delicious. It holds to the standard of just about every Chinese place I've eaten at. MOOD: 4 stars. Again, it meets the standard of everywhere else. There are a few tables to sit and eat. Nothing overly special but at least it doesn't take away from the overall atmosphere like some more, ahem, authentic places. LOCATION: 4 stars. Run-of-the-mill stuff (I know, I know, sorry). It's in a shopping plaza with good parking and easily discernible once in the plaza. STAFF: 4 stars. Noticing a trend? The cashier takes my order, gets my food, and accepts my payment. She's nice, which isn't automatically the standard at many Asian restaurants, and doesn't appear to hate her life, so kudos on that. VERDICT: 4 stars for doing things the way they should be done. I don't even know what the best Chinese food would taste like, as they're all very similar to me, but I know what awful Chinese food tastes like, and China Fun isn't that. So I'll be back a couple times a month, and you will too.

I came here because of the reviews but today may not be a good day for them. My shrimp and broccoli only came with 5 shrimp , my crab ragoons were smashed together and really crispie, but the worse part was the almost burnt egg roll. I never had one so hard and crunchy that ita falling apart as you eat it. The rice and shrimp taste good just wish i got more shrimp for money.

The guy who answered the phone sounded annoyed that I'd called to place an order. There were no thank yous or any sort of pleasantry except from me. Again, when I arrived to pick up my order he was a step away from rude, like I was bothering him. He responded to my thank yous and have a good evening with grunts and mumbles. Service sucks, but the nice lady who was cooking called out to me as I left and smiled and waved. This guy should be taking out the trash and cleaning the kitchen, not waiting on customers. He has the personality of a cardboard box. --The fried food was extremely greasy and taste was mediocre --the entree was merely ok. I had to add way too much soy sauce just to have some flavor. This wasnt the worst chinese food Ive had, but they boast NY style and I am from NY. I think this is a misrepresentation. 5 out of 10. This was my first time here... and my last time. Sorry :(

Average. Decent quality except the shrimp toast which was over fried/burnt and soaked in nasty tasting fryer oil. Crab ragoons very good and beef was tender but some veggies not cooked very well and tough fiber like. 3/5

Less than average Chinese food. Not very flavorful. The level of spice was GREAT. Chicken was obviously very OLD. (Generals chicken hard/tough/rubbery/dry. Not so good.

I don't know how to begin to describe the quality of their cuisine. I will say that it's 100% comparable to shopping mall cuisine! Baaaad!!! I know that not everyone can have the same opinion about their experience,but my experience with their combo dish was a disaster and I will never come back again. The seasoning is like from a jar that you buy at a supermarket. Their rice was saugy,tons of oil and insipid. Bottom line....I dare you to waste your hard earned money on this joint.

Ordered Szechuan shrimp and got Szechuan chicken. Was super oily and kind of bland. The staff were nice but frustrating to get an order wrong, I repeated myself a couple of times. I was in a hurry and left without checking my food. Guess I should have…?

The women wasn’t kind on the phone at all and when drinking my drink, I noticed it tasted funny. I checked the date and saw that it was OLD! I called to explain to the lady that it tasted funny and I am 9 months pregnant so this is messed up, calmly and she just said “come here, I’ll give you another soda and just hung up the phone” no sorry, no nothing. I will not be returning.

After many many months etc, we're Updating after the benefit of the doubt was given...the food is actually good 👍 😋 The service....absolutely terrible If you request or order something like extra sauce outside of the order forget about it. "They dont check online requests" ....they also dont do this when you call it in either....because...they dont know how to charge for garlic sauce....or if you ask for duck, soy, or hot sauce.....🤦‍♀️ nickle and dime at its finest....the owners had to be called to approve extra sauce? Plus....there's a couple of people who shouldn't work there AT ALL.....they're nasty and rude omg. I feel bad for the owner because it's not their fault leaving the business to be managed by awful people and in the long run your business will fail because the people you entrusted to run it are terrible 😕.

I placed a pick up order for just an order of bourbon chicken at 11:51 AM because I had to be quick because my lunch breaks are short and I didn’t receive my order until 12:15. I don’t think they even started it until I got there.

Bland...bland .... bland. Dumplings are chewy and seem under steamed. Fried rice had barely a variety of vegetables in it - and yes I know a basic fried rice comes with some onions carrots and peas- but I asked for extra just in case annnndd I received even less vegetables lol?. Not even their own soy sauce packets could save such a sad meal. I gave up and desperately searched my kitchen for anything seasoning that could bring it to life so after doing so, i'll give it a 3/10 . Now on to the won ton soup.. Yes I know it is cheap but it is supposed to be light, refreshing, and flavorful. The dough should not be so chewy and the broth should not taste like water. The soup lacked any garnishes or any level of flavor outside of what could be a 99 cent soup cup at a gas station. Please... just go somewhere else. Save yourself the trouble because you'll find better at a gas station.

I purchase general Tso, the rice was old and had a funny taste to it. The meat was old and hard. The only thing I got from them that was good was the drink. I was severed shortly after they open in the am so the food should have been fresh instead it taste very old. Last time I will be visiting them.

WARNING: They double charge on debit cards.They would not credit. Had to have Wellsfargo despite and get me a credit. Also order was wrong. Sweet sour chicken was over cooked and hard. Lady there was very rude. Look at all the reviews and you will see. Bad Bad Bad

I am sorry but I’ve ordered from here before and I have never tasted orange chicken.With this flavor. The owner is nice, but wasn’t taking accountability that I the customer who clearly ordered from here before noticed a very different taste in the chicken. I will not be coming back here and I truly wish other the best. I ordered orange chicken and that was not orange chicken. Wish everyone else the best.

What a horrible overall experience, I had a roach in my food some nights ago and I contacted the restaurant when I arrived home on Thursday to inform them. The lady at the counter was very rude about the issue. I asked her for a refund and she refused to offer me a refund. I didn’t bother going back to the restaurant and ended up going back to West Palm Beach I will never purchase from from China Fun again.

This was the worst chinese food I ever purchased. I had to throw it out. 😠The spring rolls were burnt and hard. The food tasted like a grease on a grill that had not been cleaned 🤮 If I could I would rate this a -5

The Gravy was some kind of awful liquid and the Fried wontons were so hard that I couldn't even chew them as if they had been sitting out for day. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

The lady that works at the front is so incredibly RUDE! I respect local businesses and understand you wanting things your way but I mean how do you get reoccurring customers when they talk to people so terribly. I ordered food off of the website as I've done multiple times before. My boyfriend went to go pick up the food and was told that "she has no idea what he was talking about" he has a confirmation code as well. Once he tired to re order the food, she dismissed him entirely and told him to step aside for the people behind him. On the two occasions I've had to deal with this lady she's just been rude, not sure if she's an owner and that's why she acts like that but I will definitely be trying the China crossing on Roosevelt from now own.

In my opinion, the food was horrible. The egg roll was mushy and the pepper steak was slimey. Felt uncooked. Will not order again. Threw away 90% of my food.

I ordered food off of the website as I've done multiple times before. My boyfriend went to go pick up the food and was told that "she has no idea what he was talking about" he has a confirmation code as well. Once he tired to re order the food, she dismissed him entirely and told him to step aside for the people behind him.
