This place is a gem . One of the best diners left on Staten Island . Food was good and the two specials we got for the day were excellent. I got the roasted chicken with baked potato and vegetable. Cream of Turkey soup and salad. My husband got the broiled salmon with sweet potato and mixed vegetables. Cream of Turkey soup and salad as well . We both got desert with our meal. Cheesecake and chocolate mouse cake . Can’t wait to go back again.
Second time here—both times excellent. You can’t miss for 1. Breakfast or 2. Lunch. French toast…was great—drenched in egg just the way I like it. Junior Spinach Pie Lunch Special was as promised by the server, ample, and delicious —I had to save the excellent Greek Salad for later. I almost left without the included dessert but the server stopped me just in time! They also make an assortment of pastries right there.
First timer for my fiance and I. Had to wait to be seated, it was crowded. Food was delish Coffee DA BOMB!!! Kim the waitress was wonderful. Service was great. The ONLY reason why I gave 2 stars is because where we were seated, was too close to people to the right and left of us. We will definitely be back.
I totally recommend this place! The food was really good — like, really tasty. My boyfriend and I ordered a burger and the Cuban sandwich, and we were both completely full afterward. One thing that mattered to me was whether they serve real maple syrup with the Belgian waffles — and they do! Big win for me. As for the place itself, it's super clean and well-kept, kind of a classic diner vibe. It was just really nice to be there. Another plus — they let us take all the butter from the table to go, which was a small thing but still appreciated. The total for the two of us came out to $50, which I think is pretty reasonable.
Andrew's Diner is a great spot on Hylan Blvd! I had the vegetable egg white omelet with home fries and it was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The diner itself has a welcoming, classic atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxed meal. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by for breakfast or any meal. You can find them at 4160 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10308
I’m a professional videographer and I travel to various places across the United States, filming and often dining at different establishments. It’s rare for a place to truly impress me, but I was blown away by the delicious pastrami and the outstanding service. I absolutely loved everything. I highly recommend this place — it’s impeccable, with flawless service and great prices.
Delicious meals, affordable prices and great waitstaff service. Huge meal portions and fresh products. We had a GREAT time in this restaurant. *Pastrami sandwich Excellent! *Seafood Salad Fresh and delicious! *Shrimp Parmigiana Excellent! *Ham and cheese omelette Delicious! Great atmosphere!!
Feb 21-2025. Breakfast special. No rush. Tough to park. Packed as always. No wait. Nov 1st. It’s a Staten Island staple and never misses on a meal. The selections are broad and fresh and fabulous every time. Went most recently for breakfast - high marks for perfectly cooked over easy eggs, huge pancakes and crispy delicious bacon. Dec 28. Breakfast again - big portions on the breakfast specials but today I found the eggs Benedict disappointing. Over easy eggs and bacon for my husband were spot on, as was the coffee - yum. I’ve had the pastrami here for lunch, which was amazing - really, really great.
When I first walked into Andrew's Diner, it was like most of the diners in NY or NJ. We were quickly seated and iur server came to us for our drink order. Menu is extensive with nice variety of specials. I ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken and was very impressed with the portion size but, the taste of the grilled chicken put the usual salad over the top for me. Very friendly and attentive service made for a very pleasant experience.

Great classic diner! Food is solid and portions are huge—loved the breakfast platter. Service was friendly and fast, atmosphere has that cozy retro vibe.
You will never find this diner empty. It is a favorite by many. The service and atmosphere are what you would expect, and if you were a regular they would treat you well. I order a wrap or sandeich when I go and it is always good. I do feel that they do not impress as much as some other diners. Its a great spot to meet people, just not one you walk out of feeling like it was your best meal for the week or something. Parking also is terrible.
I've only been to Staten Island a couple of times, but Andrew's Diner always delivers that classic diner vibe. Both visits were super busy, yet we walked right in—no wait! The portions are huge, seriously, I can never finish everything. One time, I had waffles with turkey sausage and scrambled eggs. Those waffles were perfect: crispy outside, fluffy inside. They even had sugar-free syrup when I asked, which was great. Another time, I tried the pastrami omelette, and wow, it was massive! Easily enough for more than 1 person, especially with the side of home fries. Next time I'm in Staten Island, I'm definitely hitting up Andrew's Diner for breakfast.
In my opinion, this is one of the best diners you'll come across on the island. Food is served quickly and prepared well. I have never had an issue with any of the 35 dishes I tried thus far. My kids love it here and always , ask to eat at Andrews Diner. The menu is highly accommodating, no matter what you are looking for. The atmosphere is comfortable and enjoyable. The diner is divided into two sections. The left side seems to be the more fancy side, as the right side is all booths. Most of the staff have been there for a while. They seem to be very proficient in taking orders accurately and staying on top of things. As for the prices they are a bit on the expensive side but you do get what you pay for. Overall I would recommend this eatery to all.

Went here on Good Friday 2025 for breakfast. Chose this since it had high ratings and we were visiting Staten Island. It’s a regular diner. Nothing fancy but it works. Good menu selection. I liked the vegetable omelette. My husband was not thrilled about the eggs benedict with salmon and expected better taste. I expected better waffles somehow. Not great but decent food. Seems like many locals come here. Decent service. Their restaurant signage could use some repair. Since parking was limited, you can opt for street parking.
This is a quiet and sleepy diner. That isn't an insult... love places like this but they need a little background music or something. Food was your typical diner fare. Loved the muffin and omelette…
Egg shells in my omelette and place to small for comfort. Service is slow. No ambiance.

Was here yesterday , food was okay . Our waitress the older woman with the blonde hair was extremely disrespectful, she didn’t ask how we were doing, and threw things and when we asked a question she ignored us. Terrible horrible service . Next time I come in I will never want her as our server again . Lady in the front was nice .
If I can leave no star I would… I’ve been here many times and not once I have ever deal with the owner. This owner was completely disrespectful. Went to eat breakfast at his diner and I was curious to know if they can use butter instead of oil on my pancakes and he went off on me. He began yelling saying that I can go home and make my own breakfast because no diner or restaurant will ever use butter and said that he will not do it for me or anyone. I explained to him that I was still willing to eat my breakfast there, it was simply a question. He proceeded to continue to speak loud telling me that he is not making changes to his diner and if I don’t like it that’s too bad, not once did I ask him to make changes to any policy. This explains why the waitress hesitated to ask him, she was more respectful than he was but her hesitation spoke a lot of volume for the way they are probably treated. I told him he was right, I can actually save my money by going home to eat and enjoy my breakfast with no oil, I told him if everyone here did the same you wouldn’t have a business. He was so disrespectful and embarrassing. I have never experienced this before!!
We were so disappointed in their pastrami. It was thick, fatty and bland tasting. The fries were soggy and undercooked. The broccoli was hard and not cooked fully too. What happened? We usually love everything there. The cook must have had a bad night!
