Gordo Taqueria is one of those authentic local spots. They serve various types of burritos and tacos, and this location specifically is better for to-go orders. I tried their beef super burrito and also ask for them to toast it and it was one of the best burritos that I had in San Francisco so far. Please try their salsa, its are really fresh and a little strong, but definitely worth trying if you’re into.
This barebones restaurant is an amazing value! Get the beef with extra pico!
Just delicious. Super friendly and patient people behind the counter, they helped guide us to the perfect meal for us and the kids.
Talk about one of the BEST hole in the wall places to eat lunch I've ever been to. I had a quesadilla and it knocked my socks off! So yummy. I will keep coming back to here forever now. Yum-O
Consistently GREAT over the years with their menu and prices. Never disappointed. Hands down the best burritos!
Longstanding go-to for burritos and tacos. Solid choice. Mostly takeout, but there’s a bench outside.
I really like the marinated steak here. It is not dry because the meat is soaked in these cafeteria type metal containers filled with sauce and meat. For lunch, I had their super steak burrito $9.80 + $1.40 guacamole + $.95 sour cream = $12.15. The cheese, guac and sour cream cost extra. Chips are $.75 and does not come with a super burrito purchase. Service was friendly. I wish they had a salsa bar. I sometimes likes to dipping my burritos in a random hot sauce and get that burn. It is not available here.
I do not recommend ordering online - they did not follow the options selected on doordash, resulting in a disappointing burrito. In person is fine.
Awesome vibe, love the seats, love the people, pretty mediocre burrito -- mostly just because of the tortilla, kinda soggy, not that special. Got the veggie burrito (for full transparecny) - refried beans were great though
This place has been around for a long time. But sadly, their food quality has gone down. The super burritos have gotten smaller and they don't give you salsa in little containers with your order anymore. The carnitas was lightly seasoned and the whole thing just lacked flavor. They used to be a lot better....
Decent burritos overall (Little Chihuahua is superior); it would help if they offered some spicy tofu as a plant based option. The grilled chicken isn’t available in white meat. No option if you only want onions and cilantro without all the runny tomatoes in your burrito. Bean and cheese burrito is good but not worth it value-wise. Service was ok.
Really poor customer service. The worker tried to pull a fast one on me and up charge me on items that I hadn’t consented to then when I called them out on it, he got puffy and threw my burrito out and then refused to speak to me.
We placed an online order for two burritos through Gordo’s app and went to the store to pick it up. When I arrived, I lined up with the other customers, there were three parties ahead of me and two behind. I approached the cashier and informed her that I had placed an online order about 15 minutes earlier. She old me it wasn’t ready. I stepped aside and waited patiently. As the line moved, I noticed that the customer who was behind me when I was in line, received his order. I asked the cashier again if my order was being prepared, and she dismissively replied, “We’re busy.” Then, two more customers—also behind me in line—received their food. I asked once more about my order, and was met with the same indifferent response: “We’re busy.” I pointed out that had I simply waited in line and ordered in person, I would already be eating. At that point, the employee preparing the burritos looked at me with a hostile glare and said, “Take it easy, man”. I reminded him that I wasn’t yelling or being aggressive—I was simply asking for the food I had already paid for. He and the cashier then began speaking in Spanish and laughing at me, which felt deliberately mocking and unprofessional. The burrito maker then threw together two burritos in a rushed, careless manner. He shoved them toward me and said, “Here, take it,” in a tone that was both condescending and aggressive. I refused to accept the food. The behavior of the staff—especially the burrito maker—was shockingly rude and blatantly disrespectful. No customer should be treated with such disregard, especially when they’ve done nothing more than ask for the order they paid for.
Overpriced w a silly pricing structure where ‘super’ refers to size but sour cream, cheese and guac are extra. The register lady is unfailingly rude, I’ve been there numerous times. At least she’s consistent? Asked multiple times for sour cream and guac and was charged but did not receive. Chips were stale too, and unless u ask for salsa the lady won’t give it to you.
The burritos were good, but the service was horrible. The staff misheard my orders, not once, not twice, but three times. I was frustrated by what they said. I couldn't hear them (I wear my hearing aid) because of the noise. I wish the staff were working on handling the customers with language barriers or disabilities. Did the staff laugh because I couldn't hear them? Or did they work too fast without listening carefully?
Food was good until it gave me the Runs, my stomach felt super sick and couldn't find a bathroom in sf for awhile until I passed by the hospital to go bathroom.
