We recently had our son‘s first birthday at MIMMOS and it was a really great party. The staff was very friendly and attentive during the entire party. The margarita brick oven pizza was delicious and everyone said that in general, the food was great. I booked a party with Rob and she was very Responsive and addressed all my needs the room offered a perfect amount of space for entertaining and decorating they offer several packages tailored to your needs and a very affordable I would highly recommend this restaurant just for dinner or for your next party.

I had the most incredible baby shower at Mimmos! The party room spaciously fit 40 people with plenty of room for a balloon arch, candy table and gifts! The wait staff was attentive, friendly and professional, they went above and beyond from our initial consult until the party was over. All of my guest raved about the food, during and after the party, especially the margarita pizza, penne vodka and chicken francese. I am looking forward to my next party and dinner at Mimmos!

Wonderful experience! Great food and the service was amazing! We decided to book this restaurant’s party room for my sister’s bridal shower and it was the best decision we made! The owners were very accommodating and so helpful when our decorating team came in to do their work. The staff were all top notch- kind, attentive and professional. We got a peperoni personal pie, a caesar salad, and chicken parm with vodka sauce. The pizza was very good! I would say an 8.2 on the portnoy scale. The salad was also pretty good. I really liked the olives and warm bread. The chicken parm was good but pretty average not amazing. We really liked the vodka sauce. The back dining area was really nice and the server was great. Prices were really good but the $6 up charge for vodka sauce was a bit much. Cant blame them though since everything else was pretty reasonable price

I can't even begin to express how amazing this place is! I recently had my bridal shower here and wow they went ABOVE AND BEYOND! From the food to the staff, it was all fantastic. The fried zucchini was crispy, chicken Marsala was thin and very soft, and the penne was perfect! Out of it all, my favorite thing about this place is the staff! They were extremely attentive and Rob made sure everything went perfectly. He was adamant on making my day perfect- and it was! I will never forget my special day. All thanks to Mimmos!

I had my daughter's first birthday party at Mimmo's in their back party room and it was absolutely perfect!! The room was spacious for the 30 guests I had and I know they can host even more! I was so excited when I was allowed to bring my daughter's large play area so the kids has somewhere safe to play without running around the room! The owner, Domenico, and his son, Ralph, were extremely helpful and accommodating. The food is absolutely amazing and the price for the packages were very reasonable. I highly recommend having your next party here!

I was at a 21st birthday party this Saturday just passed April 15 first and foremost. I’d like to say that the staff was unbelievable the food made me feel like I was in Italy. The eggplant parm was the bomb. I’ll give this place a five star definitely recommend it for dinner or parties. I will definitely be going back.

I just had a surprise retirement party for my co-worker and my experience here was amazing. This was the first party I was hosting and the owner, Domenico was great and so friendly. He spent almost 45 minutes with me on the phone providing me with all the information and options I had for the party. When I told him the situation about the party and not having a definite head count he was so patient and worked with me to make sure I was taken care of. The night of the party the service was great! We had a party of 40 and the servers were on top of everything, making sure everything was clean, pitchers were filled, and everyone was taken care of. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed every course. Will definitely be recommending this place to others who are looking to have a party!

I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could. We had my dad's 85th birthday party at Mimmo's. My experience started with the owner, Domenico. I spoke with him over the phone and he patiently went over all the options. He was incredibly flexible to the different possibilities my mom was interested in. Day of the party, his son Ralph personally took care of the main table where my parents were. ALL the staff was wonderful and attentive. But my parents were treated with incredible respect. The food was amazing!!! Our family kept raving over how delicious everything was. Course after course, one dish after another, just delicious. And the Nutella zeppolis for dessert - WOW, simply decadent. A small detail - when signing the contract, while I was excited about the Nutella zeppolis, my mom mentioned "eh, she could do without the Nutella". Ralph remembered that and put out trays half with and half without the Nutella. Made EVERYONE happy! Thank you for everything. We'll definitely be back.

The pizza was delicious, and the staff was friendly. You have to try it. I guarantee you that you are not going to regret it. We had the zippo for dessert, and that was amazing too; a perfect balance between sweet and savory.

The Cubano sandwich was incredibly tasty. Highly recommend it. Also really liked the Iguana tacos. Rest of the tacos were normal Mexican flare. We had a pitcher of the passion fruit margarita. It was good.

I'd seen this place around for a while now and it is quite big, with an outdoor space adjacent to the lot behind the next door lim service building. They had recently done up their exterior. The interior remains festive and lit with loud music and televisions showing sports, usually. It's a convenient location near the train stop and also right off Amboy. I came for a bite later at night after work and there were only two waiters running the floors. It wasn't empty and there were perhaps two louder parties, one at the bar and one at the tables. So service felt a little sparse. The food was mediocre but priced reasonably for the portions. It will fill you up. The gambas de ajillo were served lukewarm on a plate, contrary to how they would usually be served in hot oil. The pork skin quesadilla was filled abundantly with boiled pork skin. Do not order this if you are expecting a crunchy chicharron. The meat was well flavored, but the tortilla used was very thick. It held together well, though, and was expectedly filling. The sangria they have was a bit lacking in much punch of flavor. Overall, not a bad place to satisfy some cravings.

The only reason for 4 stars is there’s a funky mold smell at this place. But other than that, food and service is great and the best rice and BEANS I’ve had it’s delicious and taste so good from other Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten. This place is kind of a hidden gem and I’ve been wanting to go here but, every-time I see it from outside it is not inviting at all and or doesn’t look like it’s open or shady not sure why it’s like that. But once your inside, WOW! Finally went in this time around so very happy that I did. I just wish the smell improves but ones your inside, I guess you’ll get used it. I love that they have outdoor too. Btw, they only have 4 parking spot and could be double parking if you have two cars with your friend but, someone parked right in front of me and I wouldn’t be able to get out if the one next to me didn’t move but, it worked out lol. Overall, affordable and very good food loved it!

The Sacchetti was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend it (and vegetarian friendly). The pizza was alright. Ambiance was great and staff was friendly and accommodating. Loved the experience!

Underwhelmed unfortunately. Went to dining area. Not a SINGLE employee or patron in sight. Walked out just to make sure I had the right entrance. Stood there 5mins. Even yelled out, "Any Employees around?" Then just decided to walk around to pizza only area on back entrance. Employees all standing there, didnt even greet or ask to help. Young girl at counter talked so low even other customers couldn't hear her calling their orders. Service aside, food was decent. Standard slice was very good. MVP was decent. Vodka slice was too acidic and not fresh as my crust tasted stale and burnt. I'm a HUGE pizza lover and have tried them all and have even done some personal pizza crawls all around the world. Glad I got to try, but just an item off buckelist sadly. IG'ers have bad taste. Can rarely go by their reviews when they're not true food connessuiers, just clickbaiters.

I love pizza! I lived on the island for 20+ years and moved away. I came back to visit recently. I found that Mimmo’s was on a top 5 pizza list so was very to eager to try. I ordered a regular cheese pie. It was pretty good but I had better pizza from other places. To me, the bread is very important - this pie was too tough, like it was stale. Had good amount of cheese and sauce (bit on the salty side for me though). While waiting for my order at the restaurant, I noticed they make Nutella stuffed zeppole! Had to order! Though it was freshly made, they were not stuffed. I am used to zeppole shaped as knots but these were just folded up lol. So if the menu says “stuffed”, shouldn’t you get “stuffed”? Lastly, everywhere it says $14.70 for a regular cheese pie but he charged me $16. I ordered over the phone and I paid cash too. Odd.

Party of 14 for my brothers birthday dinner at 6pm. Didn’t want to ruin my appetite so I didn’t eat all day looking forward to eat here. Arrived and quickly ordered the mezcal margarita and the best part of the evening. Margarita gets 4 stars. We ordered the calamari, chips and guacamole as starter. Calamari was bland and was like chewing on fried flour bitters. The guac needed salt,lime, and cilantro.cause it was also bland. When a Mexican restaurant can’t get the guac right says a lot about their food and a warning of what’s to come or expect. I ordered the shrimp fajita and to be honest it was decent after I added some salt cause it lacked flavor. Looking around the table and other families expression of their food they were not impressed. This establishment is a solid 3 stars but they lost another star for their service. One element I noticed here is that service, the waiter and servers were kids. I asked one of them how old he was he was and he said 16. I respect and commend kids wanting to work and establishments giving them the opportunity, but not on a Saturday night. How much experience can a 16 year have when asked for recommendations, not that I did. There were other staff that were older walking around from table to table kind off supervising. Not a place that left me wanting to come back.

I went here with my family recently, and the experience was honestly disappointing from start to finish. We were seated quickly, but it went downhill after that. Our server seemed more interested in chatting with coworkers than taking care of our table. We had to ask multiple times just to get water refills, and when the food finally came out, one of the orders was wrong. Instead of apologizing, the server gave us an attitude like it was our fault. My parents were shocked at how unprofessional it was, it made the whole meal uncomfortable. Definitely not somewhere I’d bring family again. The staff clearly don’t care about the customers. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

We just ordered over $100.00 worth of food for my family. All the heros were dry and lacked sauce and cheese. The chicken parm had very little chicken The pizza was burnt on the bottom. The specials and prices online were outdated. We have eaten at Mimmos many times, but we feel they have gone downhill. So disappointed 😞

Fail to see the great reviews for this place. Placed an order with DoorDash and this is how my food came. Are they struggling that badly I get a chicken and a half? Who serves someone like this where they cut off a piece of chicken and give it to someone else. Outrageous. To top it off, it’s super dry. Never will order from here again! How this place is number 1 on the island is beyond me!
