This is the first shake shack that I visited that is efficient in serving its customers. I got my food quickly and it was delicious. I have previously been to 2 locations in Manhattan that unfortunately had me wait over an hour for my food with no end in sight. Both locations claimed to be under staffed but how is this the customers problem. Those managers need to be replaced if they cannot staff the proper people and get orders out. You're not doing your job, in other words you're not managing. This location in Staten island was leaps and bounds better than the 2 Manhattan locations

TASTY FOOD AND SHAKES. MY GRANDSON SEEMS TO ENJOY IT. MANY TIMES WE'VE VISITED THERE INSTEAD OF GOING UP TO THE FOOD COURT IN THE MALL. TOO MUCH OF A CROWD UP THERE. WE LIKE IT BETTER WITH FEWER PEOPLE AROUND. GUESS MORE FOLKS GET THE SHAKE SHACK TO GO SO WE USUALLY GET A TABLE STRAIGHT AWAY.

Although the wait times were a bit long the food is well worth the wait. Everything on their menu is as fresh as possible. I've never had a burger that juicy when eating out ever. But what made their food truly exceptional was their spicy cheese fries. It's something everyone NEEDS to try before they die, they were so good I treated them as the main course and everything else as an appetizer.

Everyone working here is super polite and just very nice. I always leave with a smile. Thank you Mike for handling any issues we encountered - the dairy free shake was acting up one time and once they forgot the bacon on a burger. They gave us free pup treats! Thank you :)

Staff is very warm and welcoming, i had no issues or concerns about how the staff was working or the environment. They had trendy basketball highlights leaving me very entertained and my friends were into it. I would deficiently come back!!!, i would like to give an extra recognition to one particular staff member Cassandra for always having a smile on her face, treating me well and always making sure i was satisfied with my experience.

I've ordered food here a few times, and have not been disappointed. The burgers are fresh and taste great. The fries are good, but nothing exceptional about them. The shakes are very good. This a great place to eat when you're in the mood for burgers and fries, but want something more upscale than the typical fast food joint.

Sometimes I forget how much grease a smashed burger comes with but it really was delicious... I didn't feel so hot afterwards but then again I'm not 20 anymore lol the chicken was really greasy as well .. there was no escaping the fact that everything was super greasy..

Organizing a team-building event can be hectic however, Kristie personally stepped in and took care of our orders, truly shows her dedication and commitment to providing excellent service. Politeness and professionalism are important qualities that can make a big difference in creating a positive environment and experience. First time eating at Shake Shack, and I see what all the fuss is about. One of the best burgers I've ever had, and the bacon cheese fries were great too. The employees are definitely a cut above your usual fast-food workers... which may not be that important to most people, but I tend to get turned off by the young staff at most of these kind of places. The cashier, Mark, was very hospitable and helpful, and made this seem more like a real restaurant/waiter experience than a fast food experience.

The cashier, Hoi, made my shake shack experience extremely pleasant. His professionalism and customer care was excellent. I wish everyone can work like him. He was efficient, friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, which makes sense because the entire store is always so clean, so the kitchen must be very fresh and tidy.

I would like to shout out my experience with two employees at this specific location. Mark, who was tending the register, greeted me warmly and helped me pick up my order that I placed on the app. I told him that I experienced an issue with the app as I was supposed to get the shake I ordered for free, but, for whatever reason it didn’t come off my bill. He went to his manager, Jeff, who also greeted me warmly and helped me receive the refund I was entitled to. Their customer service and kindness is to be commended. They are both an asset to Shake Shack. Thank you Mark & Jeff! 😁

Went to this Shake Shack location with a friend after a day of shopping and had a very pleasant experience. I’m incredibly used to the long lines and frustration at the Broadway and Dumbo locations since those are the ones I most frequently pick up food from. So this was definitely a nice change for me. Food is served hot, tasty, and quickly as you’d expect. And as always, I appreciate the gluten-free hamburger bun option.

This Shake shack was clean and not crowded around noon. I tried the new truffle burger. It was good but not amazing. I still prefer the Shack burger. The fries was crunchy and delicious like always. It cost me $15 and change. I did not order a drink. So this order was considered expensive.

I like that there was a kiosk to order your food without going to the cashier. What was confusing is the table number for either dine in or take out. I didn't know where it was. I think a sign somewhere to tell where these numbers were would be great. Its just next to the cashier.

The fries and shakes here are always consistent and great. They're always fresh, crispy and tasty. Food is great. It's very clean and now there are little kiosks by the counter where you can place your order if it's busy. The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is comfortable and casual. For those who are concerned about price, they usually have BOGO deals on UberEats or the Shake Shack app if you check. Highly recommend.

I love that fact that when you get off the ferry ⛴ at the outlet on Staten Island they have the Shake Shack. It was busy on Saturday but the service was still great! First let me start with the burger Wow can you say awesome 👏🏾 you can tell you are eating real meat not not that fake stuff. The fries 🍟 are so hot and crispy. The ice cream is like the cherry 🍒 on top of the meal! We got the mint chocolate chip and boy was it good. To my surprise it didn’t irritate my stomach which was great news. They even gave out free samples of ice cream. This is a great stop to make between shopping‼️🛍

Shake Shack maintains a good staff that even when you see them tired💤at the end of their shift if you engage them they will come back with a smile and ready for your order.The place always smells of good food. Do they have some guys there that don't understand how important the customer is to them? and still erroneously believe they are the center of the universe. I see it here in a couple of guys and in some Starbucks. I'm glad is a minority 💥

Terrible experience, never again! EDITED Some days ago I made an order online, I received an email after 10 minutes saying that it was ready. So I gave my name to the pick-up person and he said that it wasn't ready yet. I waited another 5 minutes, still nothing. I asked again, still nothing. Same thing after 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, I asked the guy to call her manager and I explained to her that I couldn't wait any longer, so I wanted a refund. She found out that my order had been ready for 20 minutes, but the guy misunderstood my name. She said that she would have refunded my order since at that point it was cold. Well, I've never received a refund! Is this a joke? EDITED After this review the customer service refounded me the order, thanks! I can't give a more than 3* because the bad experience can't be deleted. EDITED 2 Went again several times and had no issues after that. So Ive increased the rating from 1 to 3 and from 3 to 4*.

I'm a huge fan of Shake Shack and still a recent new resident of Staten Island, so I am SO incredibly pumped that this has opened here. There is always a yearning from me for their amazing cheese fries and their coffee fair shake. No place really does it better! The other favorite item I always order is their Chick'n Shack .. the chicken is always crispy with their delicious herb mayo!! The lines were long for opening day today, however the wait really wasn't that long. In about 15-20 minute wait, we got our food and it was delicious! The other location waits in Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights are usually a longer wait than that. A good pro tip though, order with your app and pick it up at the register directly! Today the app didn't work for the staten island location, maybe it will work later though! I tried their Raspberry Ginseng lemonade today as well too and it was quite refreshing. I'm excited to see how this place will be a great addition to all the new spots opening near the mall.

This place is hit or miss. Assuming you get the right order wich is usually not a problem but can be more frequent than ideal. The food can vary wildly it can be well cooked and delicious or "really well" cooked and dry and unplesant. I can't figure out what causes the varation but if you get a "good day" you'll enjoy if not you will know almost immediately. Overall 7/10

It's nice to not have to go into Manhattan just to have Shake Shack. This branch of the chain is great, very clean and open so it doesn't get too crowded inside. There are usually long lines (often extending outside) here, however, and if you wanna beat the lunch rush I suggest arriving a few minutes before 11:30. Shake Shack doesn't have the BEST burgers or fries I've ever tasted, but they are good and the prices aren't too terrible. Got this meal (ShackBurger and small drink) for 9$. Would recommend this establishment for the occasional visit when you're at the mall.

Love this location. Workers are so nice and jolly and make you feel welcomed. Food is great as usual. Atmosphere can be cleaned up but nothing bad at all.

If you crave for some last minute shake shack, this is the place. They have very limited indoor seating, so be lucky to get your seats. Who will want to wait for there chance to be seated, while your food is hot.

The burgers and fries are very good. It just takes so long to get your food cooked. Not to mention the night we went to eat there the ice machine was broken, the AC wasn't working and the temperature was 92 with 90% humidity. Ugh!!

We waited in line for about 10 minutes. The order ( burgers and fries ) took 20 minutes to be delivered to our table. Excellent burgers!

First time visitor here. Service was prompt and friendly. Short line at 1:30 on a Wednesday. Place was super clean, organized with quite a few tables filled - which was nice to see in winter. Ordered a portabello shroom burger. Super yummy. They bring the order to your table and it’s a fill your own drink fountain set up. Bathroom was also super clean. I would definitely come back here again.

Pretty slow long waits with only one person on the register at 7:30..... Bathrooms need improvement, clogged sink and messy. Mostly staff issues here. The burgers, fries, and shakes are always on point though which is what I mostly care about here....freezing inside this place too

The food is tasty and Heather is so kind. Our 6 yr old daughter was trying to get napkins out of the dispenser and was having some trouble. Heather helped her and walked with her back to our table. It was very thoughtful.

Shake Shack never disappoints when it comes to food! Every time I go, the food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently high quality. The burgers are juicy and perfectly cooked, with the shack sauce adding the perfect touch. The potato buns are soft yet sturdy, holding everything together perfectly. Their crinkle-cut fries are always crispy and well-seasoned, and if you get them with cheese, it takes them to another level. And the shakes? Absolutely top-tier—thick, creamy, and full of flavor. Whether it’s vanilla, chocolate, or one of their seasonal flavors, you really can’t go wrong. The service is quick and efficient, even during peak hours, and the staff is always friendly and professional. However, the reason for my 4-star rating instead of 5 is my most recent visit, where the bathrooms were filthy. There was a lot of urine on the floor by the urinals, making the restroom feel unsanitary and unpleasant. The bathrooms must be cleaned more often, at least every 30 minutes throughout the day, to maintain the same high standards as the rest of the restaurant. Overall, Shake Shack remains one of my favorite fast-food spots, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. If they improve restroom cleanliness, it would easily be a 5-star experience!

I don’t go to the mall often, but when I do I always crave Shake Shack. The food court options don’t do it for me. The burger was flavorful and crisp, the fries were delicious as always. We got the double shack burger and fries with the tropical kiwi lemonade. The seating area is pretty large and happened to be fairly empty, but it does fill up quick during the weekends depending on the time and it’s far too cold currently to sit outside. Overall, Shake Shack continues to provide a satisfying meal.

2018.06 kids favorite.. Not sure why... But they like it. Fresh burger, and other ingredients. However you can easily spend 20 per person. Regular burger 5. Shake 5. You can imagine if u order sp burger and fries.... But worth it. Kind of new... Don't pick rush HR to go.

This was the first time eating at the shake shack with my daughter by the Staten Island Mall, we ate in the outdoor shake shack.when we entered it wasn't too crowded the place is little small but does have outdoor seating I didn't notice any outdoor heaters, I thought the food was a little expensive for two people at almost $28. The food was tasty and enjoyable but still basic fast food as far as I was concerned. I would have no objections to eating there again versus a Wendy's. There seem to be a lot of choices but I understand they're known for their chicken which is what I ate.

I hope this is read I enjoyed my first encounter with the shake shack business but as dealing with the same person to greet me twice I had seen that he had went to the cashier this time. I felt very uncomfortable when I had three sets of eyes on me as I waited for my burger I’ve never even felt the need to ever rate a restaurant before up until this point. I don’t believe the employees should be making even if I looked suspicious as clear as they did that they were talking about me

The food was fresh and delicious but prices are high for a fast food burger shop. There was 8 to 10 people cramped into the kitchen which is all open to see and tight as it is. They could of used a larger kitchen and prep area, badly designed and they have the room they could of taken away from the large sitting area they have. Staff is doing there best with what they have to work with, dangerous though to be that on top of Each Other in a commercial kitchen. The other is 2 registers open and one cashier was coming and going in the kitchen??? More staff where it's needed at the cash registers. Customers will wait for their food but not to the point where they get disgusted and walk out. I was almost to that point.

I've heard so many good things about Shake Shack, so I was very excited to visit the new location on Staten Island. Overall I wasn't that impressed. My shake was delicious, although not the best (the best Shake ever can be had at Hill Country Chicken in Manhattan or Five Guys on Staten Island). My burger (the Shake Shack Stack), was just alright. To be fair I may have visited on an off night (Super Bowl Sunday), so I plan to visit again and try a different burger and shake. Oh, my French fries were actually very good.

Shake shack is always yummy, but it took almost 30 min to get my food from when I ordered. There were only 2 people front of house and they were switching between running one register and filling orders.

The food is good and the staff are friendly, however, they drop the ball on delivery. Every time I order for delivery, something is missing. We’ve been shorted sandwiches, fries, cheese sauce, extra sauces and the truffle fries dip (which isn’t cheap to order) several times. Whenever I call to complain, they always credit, but I’d rather just have my order packed properly. Please, Shake Shack, just take the extra 30 seconds to make sure everything is there.

This seemed to be about the only place in the Empire Outlet Center on Staten Island to grab a drink and a snack. Anyway, we ordered everything at the counter – a hamburger, chicken burger, fries, iced mango and normal iced lemonade. Everything came quickly enough. We sat inside having cleared a space to eat. The food was of a reasonable quality but the whole place was a typical fast food establishment. Nothing really special.

The food was ok nothing special ,burgers and fries. The outdoor dining area was filthy, spilled food and shakes on the floor, inside was cleaner but could still be more appealing. On a positive note the service was great

Edit: I had bring the stars down from 5 to 2. I don't know what happened to this place but the past 5 times we came here have been not only a bad experience but a hassle. First time in-person visit(ordered mobile) and last ever. I'm not that person who exaggerates, but this is where this line was crossed. Ordered at register, employee was excellent. While ordering the employee who was expediting was touching their shirt and pants with the gloves, then touch to check all orders. I really wanted to say something but went to find a table for us to eat. Most tables inside weren't cleaned. When we found a table and sat down, I noticed the same person in front expediting went to the bathroom with the same gloves on and left the bathroom with the same gloves still on. That's where we got up and asked for a refund. The manager agreed and gave us the refund.

What's with the hype, people? To have a decent lunch for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) with drinks and dessert it's almost 150$ US. THIS IS INSANE FOR JUST OK FOOD. Don't know, but beware. All these "OMG reviews" are from people who have no idea what price vs quality ratio means looks like (IMHO).

They got 2 stars because of the disgusting bathrooms they had today Sunday. It was nasty Under the urinal was a disgusting mat with urine soaked into it there was urine everywhere I wanted to vomit. Sorry but they need to have a cleaning crew more often I complained to one of the employees there

First and last time I visit a shake shack.. Stopped by for a quick tenders and fries for my 4yr old. Order took 18minutes and chicken bites definitely had a kick to them. My poor kid was sucking down water! And I cook with a decent amount of spice at home. Very disappointed

Very terrible experience. He said I am at welcome to come back. For going to the bathroom leaving my table number. Lets start with the fact that i have FOOD POISONING ( immediately after eating) from this Place which is Over priced (40 dollars for 2 burgers the size of a mcdonalds cheeseburger, 2 frys, and - milkshake which is one size… small)and a regular drink. The people workin there must be trained on how to be rude ,and straight up unpleasant. And to top it all off they come at you crazy to leave a tip. For what ? U get paid to take my order and to make the food now i gotta tip on top of that. Never again …and ill make sure to go out my way to tell people not to come here.

The CHILDREN that work here need some training in customer service. NO greeting whatsoever just a blank stare. While waiting for my order was subjected to a fight going on behind the counter,which got loud. Had to wait to be handed my tray of food while 5 of them argued over who was not to blame for whatever they were arguing while another one did a little dance behind the counter. I don’t even know how this is possible, but every single time we order delivery from this location there is something wrong/missing. Missing shakes, missing fries, missing dog treats, etc. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They’ve refunded the missing items in the past and tried to make it right, but it’s honestly unbelievable. We keep swearing we’d stop ordering from here, but we love shake shack food! We just don’t understand how it’s possible that the service and quality assurance is so terrible. How many times can you put in a complaint about the same thing? How many times can this happen? It’s become tedious having to contact them every time about an item. Someone needs to do some serious checks at this location.

This is the worst shake shack I have ever been to. The service is super slow, took 25 for 2 burgers and a shake. My table was filthy, so I had to clean it myself. They do have a cleaner, but instead of cleaning he is bringing food to the table wearing the same dirty gloves he uses to clean the garage, bathroom and tables. Just disgusting is the bathroom, the floors, and tables. Dozens of flies buzzing around the dining room. Seems they are more focused on take out from GrubHub/Uber eats then the in store customers.

I am disgusted to see that a pregnant woman had to wait in line for a MAN to come out the restroom. Yes, the restrooms are gender neutral and that’s cool but NOT the problem. I observed an employee go into the restroom that’s clearly marked out of order and use it. Come to find out, the bathroom isn’t even out of order, they are ONLY letting employees use it as a “personal” restroom therefore causing a CONSTANT line for the other restroom. What was more uncommon was to see the new DM and store manager (I asked another employee about a job opening so I could see a manager and they pointed out a guy and lady sitting RIGHT by the bathroom and said who they were) sitting there and could see the line as well but I guess customers needs doesn’t matter regardless of spending money there or not. Very disturbing to hear from another patron that it’s “been like that for months”. So a plumber must be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix the problem I’m assuming if this has been going on for MONTHS! Service and quality have gone down the drain. There are like 20 people working at the same time, but it takes 17 minutes to get 2 burgers and fries. Don't even have the courtesy to inform when the food is late. Never coming here again. This happened on 08/24/2023 around 8pm. Ruined our night, kept my wife hungry and upset, and didn't even apologize until we asked 3 times why the order was late. They all were laughing drinking soda and having fun. Be very careful when you go to this place at evenings, drug addicted people have infested this area and this place. Taco bell, Chipotle and Wendy's on the other side are safe heavens compared to this run down place, apart from this shakedown Shag, other places around this place have enough seating enough food and good prices. And they serve you very fast. I keep on remembering how happy the staff were while we were so hungry and sad, and every time we asked, they were like, don't worry, your food is coming. I felt so powerless in front of my wife. They were serving everyone oround us and ignored us like we were beggers. As a colored man, I felt very ashamed for coming here infront of a 99% white staff. I rest my case.

Good food but the service is the worst I ordered 4 milk shakes no food took 26 minutes just to get take out milk shakes and the longest wait. And the place was not that packed just not a great service at all they also gave me the wrong milk shake then made two then had to wait another 15 mins for the others just crazy !! Will never come to this state island location again !! Disappointing

1. Tables were sticky, so, NOT PROPERLY CLEANED 2. asked for no pickles on one burger, got 3 huge slices 3. Asked for lettuce on both 🍔, had to open burger to search for the tiny flat, wilted piece. That covered maybe 3 quarters in area. 4. There is an employee bathroom and a customer bathroom. So I waited 10 minutes for an employee to come out of the customer bathroom. No, they were most definitely NOT cleaning it. Floor and counters were gross. Toilet seat was soaked. Only a few squares of actual toilet paper. Oh. And the sink? DRY. So, unless that employee took the time to completely dry the inside of the sink, but leave the toilet seat, the floors and counter a disaster, they did NOT wash their hands and they DID go right back into the kitchen. First shake shack. LAST shake shack. For an OK but very soft, everything blended together 🍔? No thank you
