Incredible! The margaritas were sooo delicious and made with freshly squeezed lime! Great selection of flavors too. The tacos were soo fresh and delicious since they’re served with their hand made tortillas it makes a hell of a difference in the flavor just amazing all around can’t wait to go back!
I had such an amazing experience at this beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere and decor was so adorable and cute and unique. The service was great and the food was beyond delicious. Literally the best shrimp taco I’ve ever had in my life. There’s no doubt about it. I will be back And I highly recommend you check them out.
such a wonderful time and great vibe for lunch. menu has vegetarian friendly options and lots of options to share! their house salsa verde is perfect for those who want a kick but not ready for lava. ordered the flautas and they were made to order, not that frozen stuff. thank you Taqueria El Buchon for a great experience!

Delicious food and drinks! Love the ambiance too. It was a great time. Pulpo tacos were so good!
New coffee shop located on Forest Ave! The owner, Artie, as well as the staff are super nice and welcoming. They have homemade desserts and pastries, an extensive coffee/espresso menu, sandwiches, empanadas, and more. Highly recommend!

Got a little sampler of tacos. So good for a quick lunch or a taco dinner. Very authentic tacos. Reminds me of my trip to Mexico City
I just went there for the first time tonight and was blown away. Ray was amazing he walked me through the menu and helped me pick out some tacos the pulpo, Birria, ribeye steak and the Baja fish taco and everything was amazing. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and it was made with all fresh ingredients and was by far the best margarita I have ever had and I’m a bartender who knows a well crafted cocktail and it was so good. Thank you Ray for a great time I will definitely be back.
Stopped in with my family to have a couple of drinks for the holidays. We met the owner Ray he was a real pleasure. The drinks he made were real good, and refreshing. Looking forward to my next visit having cocktails and dinner with the owner Ray. Great place love the atmosphere.
Just stopped into Taqueria El Buchon for a take out order for the first time. We were greeted by Ray who was very friendly and happy to talk with us while our order was being prepared. You can see a lot of love and care goes into this business. My wife and I ordered 6 different tacos and I'm happy to say they were all excellent! The carne asada was my favorite and she loved the birria. We will definitely be back soon to try more items. Easily some of the best tacos I've had anywhere in NYC.
Everything was great. Food, drinks, ambience, music, decor, and customer service. Jasmine was friendly and explained each item. Authentic food and a fun time. Will definitely be back and tell others
AMAZING tacos! I was never a taco fan until recently and now I'm obsessed. Finding Taqueria El Buchon just hits the spot! The octopus is my favorite, the shrimp is my husbands and my son likes the ribeye. I will try all of these over time!
Tacos are great , especially the ribeye and the Birria . But for the love of god please change your smoke detector battery!
Such a gem!! We had their guacamole which was super fresh n delicious, shrimp & birria tacos, both so good & rib eye steak and shrimp tacos. The staff was super attentive and polite. Loved everything I’ll definitely be back! Also highly recommend the passion fruit lemonade!
This restaurant is amazing! My meal was made to order and was made to avoid, egg, milk and cheese. It was delicious! The tacos were awesome and the Ceviche was too good to put down until the container was empty. I highly recommend!!! Also, Ray, the owner, was super friendly and we had a great conversation. I’m definitely going back soon!
A gem. Impeccable service. Fresh ingredients beautifully presented. Wide choice of dishes.

Hands down the best Mexican in Staten Island and beyond. Ordered Steak Burrito, Al Pastor taco and Mexican Street Corn (Elotes Tajin). Went there Sunday afternoon for takeout and the burrito meat was cooked well but still tender and juicy as well as the pork taco. They make it with the perfect ratio of meat to cheese to rice and beans. The beans were not mushy and were in fact fresh and felt like they were just made. The kernels on the street corn were the size of Chiclets and were almost like a meal themselves. It seems like the freshest corn around for the size of the kernels as well. The flavor profile on both the burrito and the al pastor taco were phenomenal. If I can only add one thing, it would be that the hot sauce could be a little hotter. This is a gem of a place that really should branch out to more neighborhoods. This seems like Mexican made with love and soul.

Good spot, I ordered for pickup. Chicken burrito was great. Very nice inside I waited at the bar area before it was ready and could see myself dining here in the future. The woman who helped me was also nice. Looked clean also from what I could see. Nice atmosphere, I recommend.

Wonderful experience…Food was great and fresh and the service was great. A little expensive but worth it. Super clean, cute and cozy. Will give it a 9 out of 10 only because I order the shrimp tacos and they didn’t have any shrimp.
Food was good. Prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants. However, the portions were small and did not reflect the prices that were charged. Another issue is there aren't any diet beverages available aside from sparkling water. No complementary chips and salsa were provided like many other Mexican restaurants. What turned us off most about this experience is we did not realize the tip was included in the bill along with a service charge. We ended up double tipping, and learned a valuable lesson to be sure to check our bill more thoroughly. There were no signs or notification anywhere (ex: on the menu) that the tip is already included. We believe in tipping generously. But we don't need the business deciding for us. We hope they make adjustments. Very disappointed. If portions were bigger and obligatory tipping was removed or at least customers were clearly notified that the tip is included, we probably would have left a 5 star rating. Edit: Thanks for your quick response and feedback. I checked the menu again and did not see any mention about gratuity on there. I revisted the link you provided at the restaurant. Glad to hear the staff will be alerted. Thank you.
I went there cause I had tried their shrimp empanada at the Empire Outlets one day, they were nice and gave me a menu. I tried it today and for the price the tacos lacked flavor and not a lot of meat nor the usual 2 layer tortillas. They don't even give you some chips with sauce while you wait like in other restaurants. The menu is small and don't have large platters, this place is good for lunch but not dinner. The online website menu was different than the Google drive menu when I scanned the QR code it was for my Gmail address which I'm not gonna put. The lady who took me order said the website menu is for online orders but the Google drive menu price is the updated menu. The owner should change the website menu prices whether online or not it should all reflect the same prices. The place is clean but the food wasn't all that, too bad though. I've been to other Mexican restaurants that is packed with flavor, meat and tortillas. I gave a tip regardless even though I won't be returning. Hope they take this review into consideration or not.
The menu shows one price, but the final bill is much higher because they add service charges that are not clearly explained. It feels misleading. We unknowingly ended up paying for service twice because we also left a tip for the gentleman who helped us, since he was kind, only to realize later that a service charge had already been included. Restaurants should be transparent about their pricing. Adding hidden fees like this makes it feel like customers are being taken advantage of. In my opinion, the place is overrated, and because of this experience, I wouldn’t return.

Placed an order specifically ask for shrimp cocktail not spicy and when I got home it was octopus! Bad service and big attitude! You know your customers come first never again!
