Roast Duck • The roast duck is fragrant, with perfectly crispy skin and tender meat. The cooking is spot-on, and the slight char on the skin is incredibly satisfying. The flavor is rich but not greasy, with a well-balanced level of seasoning. A highly recommended dish. • The duck has crispy skin and juicy meat, with a deep roasted aroma that isn’t heavy or oily. It pairs well with both the dipping sauce and the sweet-and-sour sauce, and the portion size is generous. Stir-Fried Beef Ho Fun • This dish has excellent wok hei. The rice noodles are nicely separated without breaking or sticking together; the beef is tender and flavorful. The aroma is strong and authentic—an outstanding example of classic Hong Kong–style stir-fried beef ho fun. • The rice noodles are smooth, aromatic, and well-fried, and the beef stays tender. The ingredients and seasoning are well balanced, not too oily, making it a very solid version of this classic noodle dish.
I always come here for the 3 meat rice dish 🙏 this place is better than King’s Kitchen 100% - the roast pork actually has crispy skin and has hoisin sauce, the chicken is smooth, and the cha siu doesn’t have excess fat and is marinated well. Rice also is like a jasmine/glutinous rice blend, very satisfying to eat :^)
Good staple in the community. Have been going here since the beginning and they have slowly expanded the menu to include more items. The service is fast and attentive and prices are fair. I like the xiao long bao here, which has a bit of a thicker skin and helps keep more soup in and intact when lift it. Good discount if you pay cash as well! Parking is limited so try street parking especially if you’re coming during a weekend lunch rush.
Ate hear twice this week, favorites hands down are the clay pot rice with eal & the fish / tofu entree. Also loved their rice rolls, made fresh not frozen. Super clean but owners make you feel like you're in Golden Unicorn but on Staten Island.
Yummy, authentic, bang for your buck. I recommend the duck or chicken over rice, and definitely get the lemon tea or HK milk tea
Gave this place a try since it's fairly new and we see it every time we go to HL Supermarket. Overall, we had a pretty good first experience. We were greeted as we walked in and sat down. We were provided hot tea right away, and the menu for us to choose. The staff were friendly (extra if you also speak Cantonese/Mandarin) and helped provide the descriptions of the dishes we had questions on. We got the Tiawanese Fried Chicken, which is a classic dish in Taiwan, and honestly, the flavors were pretty good. It was just missing the fried basil to top it off. We also got the Roasted Duck Noodle Soup and that tasted really good. Although the duck they gave us was almost all fat so that was a bummer. Generally, we had a good experience, and we're definitely willing to come back to try the other dishes like the Roasted Pork and the Soup Dumplings.
Nothing short of awesome! Everything was great, even down to their HK milk tea is legit lol We had fish sliced congee, beef rice noodle roll, classic scallion chicken & cha shui (roast pork), Shanghai pork soup dumplings (they were alil bigger than i expected), and pan-fried shrimp pork chives dumplings The prices were fair and their servers were nice Definitely a authentic spot and we will be returning to try their other options, like their noodle soups n casseroles.
We got the soup dumplings, regular dumplings, crispy pork, char siu, and plain white noodle. The dumplings were both really good! I would get the fried next time but otherwise really good! The crispy pork we got wasnt too crispy but might have been the part we got since other parts looked good. The char siu was really good! We also really liked the plain white noodle
The food was amazing!!! Would recommend. Service was great.
Yaya Roasted Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its standout dish, the pork congee and many soup dumplings. The congee is rich and flavorful, featuring tender pieces of pork that meld perfectly with the creamy rice. The comforting warmth and subtle spices make it a perfect dish for any time of day. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service add to the overall charm of the restaurant. Highly recommended for congee lovers!
Was excited to check this place out after seeing the menu. Glad I had dined in to experience everything fresh. Really happy to have a place with fresh homemade, delicious soup dumplings! The Taiwanese sausages were crispy, fatty, and sweet in the best ways. The hot soy milk tasted homemade and I have only ever had store bought soy milk before so it tasted creamier and the flavored more pronounced so I think it was homemade. Excited to go back and try more food, especially their roast pig, congee, meats and noodles. Everything tasted fresh. The atmosphere was nice, tables were spaced out. The waiter was friendly and offered to heat up my soy milk when there was only cold soy milk left. Will definitely be ordering again or dining again. If you’re a fan of this cuisine- check it out. They know what they’re doing.

Really impressed with YaYa Roasted on Hylan Blvd. The preserved meat casserole was excellent — rich flavor, great texture, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean and well-organized. Great spot for Chinese-style dishes, and the hours (9AM–9PM daily) make it really convenient. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Staten Island!

Best Cantonese food in Staten Island & Brooklyn! We been here many times for dine in & takeout. Love the roast meat especially their roasted pork. Their congee is the best I’ve taste anywhere. Love this place!
Ya Ya Roasted is a fairly recent Chinese restaurant that opened on Hylan Boulevard. It’s a restaurant mainly focused on roasted meat, rice dishes, and noodle soup, yet it also offers Shanghai soup dumplings and (my favorite) rice pots. It’s a good variety, and I have to say it’s pretty delicious. Particularly, the potstickers are prepared in a unique shape. It’s fried and crispy just right. The rice pots are piping hot, and I love their sauce when poured into the sizzling pot (very well done)! The noodle soups are also pretty good when it comes to portion, taste, and noodles. Overall, a decent restaurant that should deserve more attention. It has a nice dining area, and the staff is welcoming. Honestly, there hasn’t been any good Chinese restaurants on the island lately, so Ya Ya Roasted is a great addition!
Good portion and tasty! Overall nice experience, came in and served right away. Ordered roasted duck with rice noodle, eel rice pot, fried dough covered with rice noodle. Place was clean and neat.
2024.06 soft opening. Wonton is average, soup is no good, no taste. Roast duck and roast pork are good worth to try. 腸粉Is really good. Ginger milk also excellent, it is even better if they can make it hot. Environment is good comfy and cozy. Haven’t tried potted rice yet they need $5 deposit if take out.
I eat here every week during my off days. There are many kinds of breakfast here. It is perfect for my taste . The food is also very good. The service attitude is a little bit bad except for one female employee. The attitude of other waiters is very good. I don't know if that is the boss lady. Anyway, she is not very enthusiastic.

The food was really good. This is my go to take out spot. The fish congee and fried dough sticks were delicious and makes you full. Highly recommend
The restaurant is very clean and has a nice interior. Bathrooms are also very clean. Only complaints are with the food. I’m surprised that they served me this quality of food while I’m dining in. I understand that it is whatever part of the duck is up next but I did not have any meat at all. I would go to the next quarter duck before I serve what is in the picture. Same deal with the chicken. Barely any meat. Got the ribs of what seems to be from a starved chicken. The rice I have tried twice already on different occasions has been extremely dry both times. I hope that I don’t need to be “lucky” before I order these dishes again. Congee is pretty good and flavorful. Same with the fried pork belly. Have yet to try other dishes but I would come back here

Food is average and service is decent. Steam dumplings are too oily and salty, and same goes to shumai. My husband couldn’t eat the dumplings despite that’s his favorite dish. Congee and rice rolls are fine.
Went twice in one day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon ordering the same thing from two different people. I asked for NO sauce, but ginger oil instead. The first time? I was given no sauce AND no oil. Unfortunately I didn’t check the food and only noticed once I got home. Later in the day, went back. Different person at the register. Ordered the same exact thing, repeated NO sauce, please give ginger oil instead and extra on the side because I got nothing earlier. I’m sitting by the door and the food is done quickly but the lady comes and hands me the takeout bag without saying anything. I check my order before I leave. It’s covered in the sauce that I repeatedly said I did not want and there’s no ginger oil again. I go to get it fixed. I thought they’d change the meat since it’s covered in the sauce but she just puts the ginger oil on top. I remind her about the extra on the side and it’s literally 1 tsp in a little container. So frustrating that I can’t order what I want because the food is good.
Mean waitress!!!The restaurant looked decent. The gentleman who let us to our table was pretty nice. Then he sent this lady who was at the counter who had just taken a phone order and boy let me tell you.. she was nasty!!! All the time we were ordering food she was impatient and rolling her eyes😑😑not nice at all!!

Just today, I ordered the charsiu and shaoya on rice. Not only were they expensive, but the meat was tough and completely dry. There was a short strand of hair (which was way too short to be mine) in the rice, so I had to throw it out completely before I was even full.
