Awesome place for a chilled-out evening on a wonderful terrace! Great wines, even happy hour until 6pm, absolut FANTASTIC food! A modern chique place for a date, a special day or even to catch up with friends, if you don't want to wear suit and tie, but still enjoy some class and style!
What a great place to unwind as well as get your learn on. If you are into discovery, wine and food. The staff is very attentive, wine list is broad (especially selections from Austria & Germany that are delightful) and cuisine from Brandi Key. I was just there for a guided tasting through the Ribera del Duero with paired tapas for only $25! Total steal! Highly recommended.....
This was a work event during ITS week. The staff was pleasant a mind exceptionally accommodating thru out the evening. The atmosphere is perfect for hosting events or just hanging out with friends.
The manager Matt was really nice and helpful and gave us some small tastes. There is 50% on Tuesday's only for bottles. very quite place on the good side. Highly recommended
This is a great Tasting Room. There is food trucks outside, in last nights instance a German Food Truck that was killer good. Love the place. A family business and the Beer was yum, yum.
our night was great...waiter was there for us when we needed him with out being overwhelming, classical guitar play was awesome, the pizza was rocking and the ladies loved the burgers...only slight was the parking...
I went to see my friend perform there. I got their tasting menu it is quite delicious did mimosas come in different flavors and overall it was a very nice vibe
Nice easy atmosphere. Great waitress and food was good. Nice wine selection along with beer and everything else
Great place! Highly recommended from 2pm-4sh. If you looking a calm place to work and to enjoy a good cocktail/wine
Been here plenty of times. This was my first time attending the Wine Cellar Classic. There was good music, good food and plenty of wine!
Excellent tasting food and perfect portions! This was my first time here and I give it a 9/10. It would be a 10/10 if the server was more attentive.
One of the widest selections in town. If you're an old dude looking to score an above average lady you will do well here. Ladies vice versa. It's proximity to the more moneyed neighborhoods helps this..
I suggest this place to many newcomers in houston. I love the atmosphere. Beautiful daytime getaway and Live music at night for that special date. I hope they're not closed
This was such a nice place. The salad I had was delicious and they hosted quite an event this morning. Thanks so much Tasting Room.
We went late, hour before closing, food menu looks good. The wine we purchased (red) was delicious pinot noir
Sat out on patio nice Houston weather wasn’t there only about an hour. Happpy that the bartender was able to make me a Chocolate Martini other location in CityCentre didn’t.
Great wine selection, super patio atmosphere on live music Wednesday, attentive waitstaff! Try the Arriabatta pizza-D-lish!
I always enjoy this spot! What a great way to sit and unwind, and wait out the Houston rush hour traffic....lol. They had great food, and pleasant staff!
Great wine, but also great food. Their brick oven pizza is one of the best in Houston.
Stopped in to enjoy a glass of wine & stayed for dinner. Great menu & was extremely pleased when I had many choices of Gluten Free items to choose from. Well educated staff on wines as well! Cheers!
Great date night. Thursday night live music was fantastic. Food, drinks and service amazing. We had the cheese platter with wine and then their Nutella brownie with Irish Coffees.
Live music and the outdoor sitting is perfect. The ambiance is nice and chill on Saturday. The wine selection and food is decent. Service is good as well. Awesome place to get together with friends
Had a great evening, the staff was helpful in finding a wine that we would like, bringing a few to try out. Live music on the patio great ambiance and the food was good too. We will be back!
Simply amazing every time I go. The atmosphere, staff, and food/drink selections equals perfection every time. The owner is also customer conscience something that is a rare trait amongst business owners now. I give 10/5 stars.
Went to the Tasting Room (Uptown Park) for dinner with friends. The experience was so awesome. First, we walked into the restaurant to get a table for 3. It was way too loud (by the way, restaurants, what is up with the music so loud you can't have a conversation? Someone should test the decibel levels). As the host (and I'm so sorry I did not get your name because you were also incredible!) told us we could sit anywhere, I asked if there was a "quieter" corner in the place. Instead of blowing me off or telling me he didn't know, he simply said, "would you like me to turn it down a bit?" I was stunned and also pleasantly surprised and extremely appreciative! And what was more important ... he actually turned it down and then made sure I was ok with the volume! Then we sat down and Katie came over. Such an amazing person. She was attentive but not invasive. She was knowledgeable and personable and funny. She struck the balance that is very hard to strike - letting people know you are available to serve them, but also knowing that people are also there to enjoy the company they are with. Oh, and the food was awesome as well - the brussel sprouts and the papas y pulpo were great starters and the steak frites was perfect done. We were there on 10/16 around 8:30p. If you go (and you should), ask for Katie and give kudos to the host at the door (again, I'm so sorry I didn't get your name!).
The Uptown Park TTR is an awesome place for networking, a place to bring clients or just as nice to relax alone with a glass of wine and a good meal. Some of the staff like Jacob, Nathan and Anna do a phenomenal job with service and Jason and Brian do a great job managing the location. Everyone is very knowledgeable with regards to the wine list and overall, a GREAT place to spend the day or evening for work or pleasure. Thank you to all for the memorable experiences.
Great food and service. Very nice and relaxing environment. I really enjoyed the live music as well. If you go, make sure to ask for Laszlo. He is very knowledgeable about the selections and provides great customer service!
Very nice ambiance, great service I didn't have anything to drink however the wine seen vast. The Salmon was great and you must try the bread pudding dessert it is awesome.
Went here for Houston restaurant week and the food, service and drinks were great. The fried egg sandwich is gigantic and absolutely delicious. I also highly recommend the French toast and smoked salmon bruchetta.
Nice and comfy place to meet up in the Uptown / Galleria area. Their burger is a work of craftsmanship and art. Wine variety and excellent service.
Had the house cheeseburger with Kobe beef and a pizza, it was amazing, sat at the bar and the service was great. On my last visit to Houston I dined here and now it seems I will continue to eat here whenever I'm in town.
Getting a tender WELL DONE filet mignon in a restaurant is never easy. They did it perfectly the first time. All the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful
Staff is friendly and cheerful. The pizza margaritha was awesome. Bonus: Live music and candle lights made the atmosphere warm...
Fantastic experience, friendly staff that provides great recommendations. Good wine selection. Loved the Meze platter and soup of the day, pizza crust looks amazing although I didn't try. I am really pleased I stopped in. Great food and atmosphere, whether you have company or are a solo diner.
We did a walk-in of around 15 people for a birthday party. They were able to accommodate us, and the servers took excellent care of us. Food was perfect and delicious. Wine selection is great, but would love to see a more options for wines by the glass.
This place is a wine lounge that is top notch. It has a great selection of wine for very good prices. The atmosphere is casual with a touch of chic. The servers are very knowledgeable about wine and they are super friendly. They have a good selection of aged cheeses and meets. This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me. Make sure you try their house recommendations.
I attended a wine and cheese event here. It was very well organized. The live music was great. The seating was all open, but we got there early to get a seat at the bar. The best part was the staff. They were super friendly and helpful.
My girlfriend took me here for a girls night out after work Friday night... I absolutely loved it. It was so refreshing completely different from your typical bar scene. The atmosphere was amazing, food was great, service was great. I had a very pleaseant experience. I will definitely be back.
Service and attention is very good. My friend and I didn't knew what to drink, and both bartenders (in different moments) recommend something according our taste. They really listen. The food took a while to come, but they let us know, The wait was worth it! At the end, the bill was what we expect it to be. My only recommendation is to be aware that the 1st floor of the parking lot has a fee and I really don't know what's the price because it ain't label. 2nd floor up is free.
They had delicious sliders oh, wonderful wine I had the white and my husband had the red! They accommodated a good number of people, we were able to watch slides and hear someone speak with microphone! The head nice finger food type things to eat, and someone said the shrimp is good however I don't eat that so I don't know.
Great wine selection. Gluten Free modifications available. Not busy at all on a Saturday night. I loved the 60s/70s tunes. Would be a great place to rent a private room, there are several options available.
Great atmosphere! Ample outdoor seating (though, no heaters that I saw), fast kitchen, excellent food, and they have a full bar in case you don't want to peruse the wine selection. I'll definitely be coming back
I came in and recieved a friendly greeting! It was a great start to a Saturday morning. Mistie, Diana, and Cory were fantastic! The cheese board is delicious. The 6 types of cheeses were a good compliment to the wine I tried. I highly recommend the mimosa as well. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the patio is very relaxing.

Sabroso y buen precio
Fun, noisy, and very good! Wine selection is good, and some folks store their personal reserves there as well. Had an assortment of tapas with friends and everyone liked everything. Very friendly service as well. Only drawback is the expense, but it's well in line with this kind of classy spot and I'm happy to say that, in this case anyhow, you get what you pay for.
A recent "Burger Buddies" adventure took us away from our comfort zone to a nice wine cafe, The Tasting Room in Uptown Park. Having sampled a taste on a prior occasion, and enjoying my bite, I decided it was time for the entire burger. The "TTR Burger" is their signature blend of Angus whole muscles topped with mayo, brie, hothouse tomatoes, red onion and romaine lettuce, served on Slow Dough challah bun. The crowd at lunch was extremely light, which gave us hope for a leisurely lunch. While the service was slower than anticipated, all was (mostly) forgiven once the hamburger arrived. This burger looked stunning, with the charred patty peaking out from beneath the romaine lettuce. The challah bun was nicely grilled, crunchy to the touch and chewy to the taste. But, the meat was the real star here - cooked to medium temperature, with a juicy pink center. Others at my table were not so fortunate, as comments such as over-cooked were shared. The side of fries were thinnish and crispy with a tender center, but were of the frozen variety. The charred and smokey flavor of the patty, mixed with the sharpness of the brie, provided a unique contrast in flavors. With some minor adjusments and better consistency, The Tasting Room could become a new lunch destination for a burger. However, next time, I'll ask to substitute a nice glass of Malbec for the fries.
Wonderful HH. Get a wine with a side of the hummus, it's delicious. The staff is knowledgable about the wines so I appreciate that. Fun place for lunch too.
One of my favorite wine bar to chill after a long day. Great selections of wines and love the kobe sliders and truffle fries.
Great wine and cheese board. The beef tips we had to send back. Couldn’t even cut through them.
Always good - superior wine selection at fair prices. Nice menu with easy to share dishes that always please
Delicious food, great wine, and a fun atmosphere. It's a great spot for a date or hanging out with a small group of friends.
There was live music by a guitarist! He is great! The food was yummy! I shared a mushroom pizza and Tasting Room salad with a friend! 🍄🍕🥗 We had 4 out of 5 people celebrating birthdays! 🎈🥳🎉🎂 Our waitress gave us complimentary glasses of prosecco to toast! 🥂🍾 The ambiance is good! The Astros hit a homerun as we were leaving and advanced to the World Series! 😊💕⚾️
I partook in libations and a great brunch at this beautiful hidden gem. I met the girls for a network / catch- up affair. We enjoyed the crab cakes, lump crabmeat eggs Benedict, a great dish w/ Salmon & veggies the soul quenching prickly pear/ classic mimosas duo was perfect for conversation and great vibes on that Sunday afternoon. We had a very attentive server and were greeted with smiles. Our table was maintained by various staff members who were all cognizant of our needs. This experience was a creme de la creme and the weather was magnificent to top it all!!! Thanks Tasting Room for epicurean perfection.
Only reason it's not getting a 5 star. because of location. It's a bit hidden. only if you Google it or live in the area will you know it's here. Uptown Park needs better signage on Post Oak so you can know how great this little mall area is. Perhaps when they EVER finish the construction. Everything about this place is great. Wine is a 10. food 10, Live Music 10 Parking 10.
Love the atmosphere, food in party room was very tasty... had short ribs with Cabernet gravy and mashed potatoes. Wait staff kept confusing everyones order though but they were prompt to refill the spirits. I'd go back again.
Music Saturdays on patio. Very cool band. Had drink specials available for Karbach beers. The patio had fans to help cool you off as best they can in Houston weather. I'd swing by again to check out the band.
I wasn't fond of the happy hour Cabernet selections but this is a fun place for groups. Great appetizers and fabulous wood fire pizza, the mushroom is a clear winner. I'll return.
I'm from Philadelphia, an out of towner, here on business. Nice vibe, great menus, but I'm pretty sure the Wellfleet oysters werent from Wellfleet. Ive been to Wellfleet and these oysters were not from there. Having said that, nice place, friendly, accomodating staff, good wine, fair prices.
Good music and food and wine selection. I wish they had bigger items for food. Most of its plates you split or something but sometimes I have been there and I want a steak or something. Excellent quality though.
The Tasting Room is a great place to meet for wine after work! They have a great Happy Hour selection that includes small bites. They can get pretty busy later into the evening, so getting there early for a table is a must. Service can get a little spotty when they pick up, but I've been able to politely wave down the waiter/waitress to get a drink. They also have live music, which is never too loud and is always nice.
I went here for their Valentines Day Weekend special they were having. This special included three wines paired with three chocolates/desserts. We went Sunday night which was Valentines Day and they were running low on the Chocolates and gave us what they had available which were not the ones paired with the correct wines. They apologized, it was still delicious. We sat outside and they had the heaters going which was really nice. Our waitress was very pleasant and knew a lot about the wines and was very attentive. Will be returning when I'm in the area!
I am an unashamed wine-o so I have been anxiously awaiting to try this place. The house happy hour wine is pretty good. I enjoy the dark lighting and night ambiance. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I enjoy the set-up. You will find local business people sprawled all over the bar. Seating can sometimes be challenging so try to go and beat the crowd. A definite go-to place for happy hour in the Uptown area. I have yet to try the food but the wine selection is abundant and reasonable.
A cool space in which to taste a wide variety of wine styles ranging from semidry whites to bigger bolder reds. The tasting room staff was knowledgeable regarding the wines and helpful. Our crew had a great time.
MORE THAN 50 VISITS: A good place to see and be seen. Service is very good and food quality is nice as well. If they mess it up they will fix it. Staff is well trained and the atmosphere is great on a nice breezy night. A little pretentious, but hey that is why you go there anyway. Enjoy !
A nice selection of wine in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is good too with a selection of small dishes, platers to share and mains. The Tuesday 1/2 price bottle offer is also a very good deal.
Went for the first time last week. The environment is nice, they have an outside seating area that is covered and a live band that plays. We tried some appetizers which were good. The wait staff come frequently and answered any questions we had.
Muy agradable para degustar un buen vino y cerveza, buen ambiente y buen servicio
I go for the outdoor atmosphere, food is just ok & service is hit or miss , just not that warm and friendly unless they seem to know you , over priced
Plus: large wine selection, well priced, great attention to the cleanliness of the wine glasses, and serving wines at the right temperature. Attentive staff. Love the cooler for keeping red wines at 17 degrees Celsius. Cons: underwhelming food taste. The kobe beef was not juicy, it should melt in your mouth. Although cooked well to medium rare, it was chewy. The chocolate mousse was too thick, resembling frosting.
Food and wine were good. Server must have been new -- didn't know to ask how I wanted my steak cooked, or to bring me a steak knife. The staff was sweeping and bagging trash near me (before closing time). The kitchen was playing music behind me, clashing with the music in the dining room. Altogether not great signs of caring for the customer. Lesson learned : don't go there late, or don't eat at the bar.
This is a great place to have a few drinks and enjoy your time. They have an awesome selection of wines and great atmosphere however food is not so good! It's just bland, not that fresh, and just not well put together. Parking can be a pain too so you might have to valet which gets on my nerves, but as I said, it's a good drinking/socializing place.
We had a professional business networking meet up at Uptown location. There was no host or hostess at the Tasting Room entrance way. No staff members or bartenders knew what was going on when we asked about the event. No reservations can be placed in advance it is a first come, first serve. It is a popular hot spot hang out. The outside sitting fills up quickly my first impression appearance it is clean, dry and dismissing staff. The bartender credit card machine was not working he asked us to pay cash for wine. I was really disappointed with that because that was the only form of payment I had and my guest at the bar graciously payed for my drink. Only one associate actually took it upon himself to seek out the group we were seeking for 10 minutes after we asked about the event we were going to. Staff and management team need to be visible and reachable with name badges so we can get to know who they are. The outside balcony was vibrant than the inside table sitting. The wine menu needs to be revised with more sweet wines Tasting Room was out of Moscato. We had to order Reisling instead not too many options in their selections. It is a nice environment because of location and promitity to Galleria area. But, customer service, hospitality, and attentiveness needs to be reviewed at team huddles or shift meeting to ensure all guest are served equally with respect and dignity. I will think before I go to this location until I verify the customer service has step up its policies and culture. In the near future I will revisit this location to see if improvements have been made. I wish the Tasting Room in Houston, Texas all the best.
Never enough parking, haven't had anything I truly liked (or thought they made better than me) and too expensive of wine which is not even that good. The service is also horrible. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the music is great and I like their red wine glasses.
Artichoke pizza was to yuck not that great miss it’s mark the wine is good but the food usually wasn’t that great this time the salad super salty and the salmon burn the only 2 starts are for the mushrooms and have to wait for the ticket for more than 20 mnts we asked 2 Times and nothing until we stand up
Food is good, but more of a bar with awful music that is too loud. Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged by a server to bring me a menu only to never recieve most of my order. What do I need to do to get service, shot a flare?
I was with a few girlfriend from work our dishes chicken salad waffle s and fried chicken and egg dish, I had to wait five to fifty five minutes for our food, for which should have been eight minutes. Obviously there is a communication issue of time between the Line Cooks and the Executive Chef, bottom line is that I would not be eating here again if you were forced to pay me, and I quote cook faster than han even on a busy day,but this restaurant call the Tastingroom wasn't in the weeds at all hmmm ???.
I am never ever coming here again. My service was bad and I asked to speak to a manager and they sent over this rude b*tch named Bella. She was completely unprofessional with my party and made threats if we didn't pay and leave. I am going to report this place to BBB and tell everyone about how crappy it is.
They didn't have 4 of the wines we tried to order, or even a cocktail we ordered. Service was poor, the drinks we eventually got, never were refilled. The pizza was super bland and lacking salt.
The wines are lowest quality in town. Good service is hit or miss. Great location interior bar is not comfortable or classy. Try to avoid this low class place in a high class neighborhood.
Asked for a patron margarita, gave me a check for 28.00 with a 7.40 service charge and couldn't tell me why! Was having a good time until that happened! Will NEVER come back!
I forgot my wallet last night in this place. A place where I always come with my boyfriend. It is a place where they know us because we frequent this place a lot. They have always given us a special treatment today they returned my wallet, thank God with all my documents but they stole all the money I had in my wallet.
Not a great first visit waited at the door for a hostess never came. Manager type yelled over to sit anywhere stood at bar not busy at all to have bartenders walk past without acknowledging us. At the table ordered Caesar salad with chicken...came out no chicken. Not our waiter but another person brought plate to our table that was not ours...Twice. Finally got my salad after my companion had already finished her meal. Then the big shock salad+ cheese plate + 2 glasses of wine TOTAL $87. Probably not returning soon
The Tasting room (Uptown Park) is a wonderful place, EXCEPT . . . The ENTIRE parking lot is coned off for valet . . . if you want to park your car yourself, it's NOT an option! When I asked a manager about that, he said that the valet company is a separate entity from The Tasting Room. Either a very lame response, or they need to get some control over valet because it's part of the overall "customer experience". I chose to sit on the patio with a friend. After about 15 minutes, I ended up going inside to get served at the bar. They supposedly have staff that covers the patio, but the only ones I saw were clearing tables. Very disappointed with the experience at this location.
This is the second time I have an issue here at the uptown location. I am very easygoing person but definitely I have an issue with very arrogant people here thinking that you need to bow to them when they are serving you. I brought my partner in crime to enjoy some wine on Saturday before Velentine's day. I wanted to try several wines before buying a bottle. They told me it was not possible. I have done it before. I decide to buy a $50 bottle wine to enjoy there. I decided to seat inside because outside it was cold. As soon as I was going to seat inside I noticed all the tables were reserved. No one was there and supposedly they were expecting a big crowd. They told me either to seat at the bar in a corner or go outside. They were so rude I decided to get my money back and leave. I guess they don't need my $50 dollar contribution (not cheap by the way) or my business. I am just so disappointed by their rudeness and their lack of professionalism. It was like they were making me a favor. Sorry to say but after giving this place another chance I can't recommend it.
One of the more bizarre dining experiences I've had in Houston. Made a reservation because I didn't want to wait. I asked the bartender about the reservation; apparently it's open seating, so not sure why they have a reservation function on the website. Not many positives to note. It took me four tries 'til they actually had a wine in stock that I ordered. The poor server was apologetic, but ridiculous that many of the menu items were not available. The music was way too loud; conversation was not an option. One of the worst Margherita pizzas I've had; cardboard would have been more flavorful. Extremely disappointing experience.
Just left this location less than five minutes ago, & I am extremely disappointed. I’m not one to write reviews as you can see, but I feel compelled to share my experience tonight. My boyfriend & I decided to have dinner & wine at The Tasting Room to celebrate his new promotion. When we arrived, we headed straight to the bar where we sat for almost 10 minutes before we were even greeted. During that time, we watched as other couples who sat after us were immediately greeted & received wine before anyone even acknowledged we were there. After we were finally greeted with zero urgency or enthusiasm, we waited another 10 plus minutes to place a wine order, but no one came back. During this time servers/bartenders behind the bar made eye contact with us, including a manager, but never came by to take our order. As the only African American couple at the bar, it didn’t take my boyfriend & I long to realize what was happening, so we quietly got up & left. I have been working in the restaurant industry for years & am currently a server at a restaurant in the Woodlands. At my store we pride ourselves on having integrity & treating all guests equally. The Tasting Room does NOT! It is very unfortunate to be treated this way at a public establishment. I hope that my decision to write this review will encourage others to give their business to restaurants who value ALL guests & ALL people. Needles to say, we will not be returning.
