THIS PLACE IS FABULOUS! The food is 10+++ I first ate in Lodi it was great. I live in Stockton, I was so grateful this place was opening right down the street from me. I will definitely be back, with everyone I know! Same food same great service, stop in!

What a selection. Macaroni & cheese bites, Deep fried pickles, & mushrooms, oh my. Seriously the most amazing deep fried mushrooms. Completely worth the extra time it takes to have everything made fresh. Love it

Pretty good for paying about as much if not a little less then you would at some other fast food joint. Line can take a while so hope you have no where to be while you are ordering. Crinkle cut fries are a plus too. Oh just had theirs shakes and they are pretty tasty 😋

Very Good "Socal" style hamburger drive through. Hot dog is impressively sized and dressed. Pastrami is perfect, burgers near perfect (tweak the thousand island / spread). Ranch should be offered with all fries. Milkshakes were the best from a drive through I've ever had. Big recommend if you're missing an LA style burger place.

I love clean food places no matter where I go. My uncle is a funny eater but said the stuff he ordered was good. Will update if I beg to differ.... Stay tuned. update: are in at least 3 times since the last review. this place is still clean and has a extensive menu.

Wow, what a five star 🍔!!! I ordered number one combo. I used to say nothing comes close to in and out burger but this definitely does. If I dare say, it is even better. Workers are friendly. Burger was on the other level delicious. I don't care for crinkle fries but they were pretty good too. Nice seasoning was added. I should of have swapped it with curly fries which they do have. Next time I will order jalepeno burger and will be returning soon. This 🍔 is 🔥.

We go to Five Star at least once per week for the BURGERS and FRIES! They are delicious! The burgers are fresh, grilled perfectly with a nice little char and always the freshest produce. The buns are fresh and tasty and the FRIES...perfectly golden with a little season salt....the best around.

Both times I've been here have been really good. We where just driving by the first time . Second time we knew we had to stop by again. Burgers and sandwiches are good. Fried pickles great. Baby loved the Mac n cheese bites

Our 1st time here & it did not disappoint. We ordered the egg & bacon burger, the California melt, the avocado burger & a kids meal cheeseburger. All were delicious! Dipped our fries in ranch & thousand island. We were able to eat inside-nice that they have indoor dining available.

The menu covers just about any craving you might have! You might have to wait a bit , but everything is served hot and fresh! Your food doesn't sit under a heat lamp like other fast food places. Burgers are delicious! And the shakes are yummy!

Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the food sucks I know :( but it was so delicious in my opinion my first time trying the burger and fries and they were so delicious the fries had a type of seasoning if you are curious didn't even need ketchup definitely recommend coming here to try it out. Also the Oreo Milkshake was so good 👍 I'm coming back for sure when I'm craving a burger and fries.

Went thru drive thru and sat there thinking this is ridiculous how long it’s taking. It wasn’t that long of a wait but realizing the food is made fresh to order and the quality, worth the couple extra minute wait. Came here bc they have deep fried mushrooms. They were great! Awesome little spot

Food was amazing. The service was absolutely terrible heck the lights were even off when I went inside. With all that said I'm pretty sure the entire staff was either high or hungover. I waited more than 20 minutes for my food. I would absolutely 100% wait even longer. One of the best burgers and sandwiches I've ever had.

The family and I went to this burger joint after church was very unsure about this place. We are so very glad you came here. They food is bomb. I was very pleasantly surprised. I would most definitely come here again when in this area.

This was definitely worth the wait....but its because its fresh and made to order. The burgers were outstanding. The Knockout burger was delicious and so was the Pastrami burger. Both fries, regular and curly are very good including the ranch dressing. Best burger we've had in a while. Can't wait to try another one of their signature burgers....only 22 left to try. Lol

Why would anyone go to Jack in the Box when 5 Star is next door?! The food is always fresh and delicious. As many times as we've been there not once has our order been wrong. There's nothing more frustrating than getting home and finding your order isn't right. You might have to wait a little longer because the line can be long but it's well worth it. Their staff is always pleasant...that's always a plus. And they have quite a variety of items on their menu, including desserts.

My delicious burger was so big (& was a single too) that I couldn't finish it, Whew!! With that I had these also very delicious onion rings, with such a big order I need to prepare next time to maybe not eat for the day?? Just kidding.. it's totally worth the wait in line!!

5 stars for a 5 star burger joint. The name lives up to what it promises. This is the new location on the West end of Hammer Lane…it’s been open less than a year. Open late, good food…just know that they cook everything fresh so be prepared to wait in the drive-thru. (Don’t worry it’s worth the wait.)

I enjoy these burgers a lot! If you're one of those "I need it now!" type people, don't come here because these burgers are made to order. They're not sitting in a window mass cooked under a warmer. You order and they make it right then so you willbe waiting but it's worth it, which I love!!! Plus they're a good size. Their large is definitely a LARGE. And they actually fill up their fry container unlike other places. My fries yesterday were a little over done but that's not my typical experience. The shakes are Delicious too!!! Just an FYI. Definitely come here!

They serve some of the best burgers in the San Joaquin County area (Stockton, Tracy, etc). They make them fresh after you order. They also have Halal options which I would recommend as Halal meat tastes more tender due to lower blood in the meat. We ordered their new smash burgers, which were outstanding. However they were a little bit more on salt, which I spoke to the gentleman at the front and he was able to fix it so the service is great too.

A hidden gem. It's never busy. This is a 'If you know, you know' location. The restaurant is clean, with booths and tables for larger groups. The restaurant was clean, and the restroom was clean as well. The food is on point! Fresh, well seasoned, and made to order. They have a large menu and have a number of burger variants, types of fries, and other tasty appetizers. They also have a nice dessert menu. The burgers aren't small, so bring an appetite with you. They will beat any fast food chain as nothing is cooked until you order it. 9.5/10

One of the best halal burgers I’ve ever had. You have to make sure they use halal meat for your burger when you order. My burger was solid mashaAllah. They didn’t add random spices. It just tasted really good. I got fries with buffalo and ranch sauces and a root beer float. All amazing.

First time here. Tried the #20 "Philly Cheesesteak"... Was a bit smaller for a sub but packs quite the taste, especially the meat, which was quite juicy and easy to enjoy. Overall, pretty good. Lines can get long though during busy hours. (ate half in the pic hehe)

The employees were professional/pleasant, the interior was clean, plenty of tables w/seating for the space, the menu has great burger/American variety & the beverage options were plenty. However halfway through my double beef patty bacon burger with everything the burger got soggy & the bacon was undercooked for my preference & the fries were too salty. Could feel the grains covering my fingertips. I'd go back with intent to order fried items like fries with no salt, zucchini sticks, nuggets or try a non burger protien item like a corndog or pastrami sandwich. Their half & half ice cream in a waffle cone for $2.17 are a great treat for this heat.

I've heard of Five Star Burger, but did not expect to get the jumbo hot dog. I've had their burgers and they are pretty good. There are so many menu items it confused me yet intrigued me. I would love to have the time to look over the menu and see what other wonders I've missed. I would need to go there again and dine in the get the full experience. But for now the jumbo hot dog is pretty good, even for the price I'd go there again.

This place exceeded my expectations. The food actually looks like the pictures and that alone is mouth watering. Definitely a great pick in comparison to all the chain fast food spots out there. It's like flips burgers on waterloo, but if the location doesn't give preference, the food is undoubtedly worth the drive. Impressed is an understatement. The family loved the five star, pastrami, and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.

I stopped by for a burger and fries and was so impressed with the customer service I got my order to go due to COVID had my mask on. The burger was delicious and well done but what I loved were the French fries I love fat fries they are delicious they were nice and hot so good. Plus they sell special sauce if u want it for your fries but I could add to burger also. They also had those little fried burritos I used to get in high school so we went back for another day and I split my fries and the burrito comes with two so we were able to eat for cheap. The milkshakes were delicious also so am far I have not been disappointed with anything.

Friendly service, burger was good! 4 stars only because the mens bathroom was disgusting. You have to get a key to use it, so it's not just open to the public. Judging by the urine stains, no towels, and condition of the walls they must not clean it but once a week or they just do a very poor job. Everything else was great!

First time trying this burger joint. We did take out. Dining room looked very clean. Food was cooked to order and everything was fresh and warm when we got it. French fries, deep fried zucchini and mushrooms were cooked perfectly. Guacamole burger was fantastic. This place definitely deserves to be tried again and I'm looking forward to it. Very large selection of burger options. I hope they continue to provide excellent food and first rate customer service. This place will become a great dining experience in the neighborhood.

Surprisingly good! I went in for dine in for the first time, was a little worried at first, but ordered the Jalapeno Burger Combo for $9.49, and was pleasantly surprised, the burger was a good size, not small, and surprisingly tasty and fresh. The fries were pretty good too, and they gave me a dipping sauce. 4 stars because the service was a tad slow considering I was the only person inside the restaurant, but I would go back.

The food was delicious. The service was not bad but I also nothing amazing. We used to live near here and had gone twice. I miss it now and wish it was closer. Also has a drive thru, not sure if it takes long as we only got down or ordered ahead for pickup.

My food was fresh and piping hot. You have to make sure you are not in a hurry as everything is made to order. The crinkle fries were a delightful surprise but should have been a bit crispier. The milkshake did not disappoint, though I would suggest that if you are going to leave those chunks of candy in my shake (and there were a lot) that you also have a wider straw. The chicken strips were tasty. Definitely worth another visit... portions were generous and the leftovers reheated nicely.

Ordered online through their website and picked up through their drive through. Yes it looks like the place is closed but it's not. They are located off Hammer Ln and I-5. We live all the way by 99. By the time we got home the food was still hot and the fries were crispy, I was really happy about that. We did put it in an insulated bag to keep the food warm while we drove back home, so that might've contributed to it a bit. They have reasonable prices and the combo meals come with a Med fry and Med drink. The food doesn't seem filling but it is after you eat. The flavors of the burger was there and it tasted great. The mayo was a touch heavy but anymore then the burger would've been soggy and sloppy. The only con, is my unsweetened iced tea had too much lemon squeezed in it. I recommend only squeezing 1 quarter wedge because any more than that then it just tastes like lemon and not the iced tea flavor. However the best part is that the burgers came in their own boxes so when we got home to eat it, they were not squished. I'm nitpicking but personally I don't like my burgers squished. The burger is wrapped neatly in paper and then it sits inside the box. I really appreciate the option for them to cut it in half too. I recommend giving this place a try because they tasted just as good as habit and innout (imo) and you get to support a mom and pop joint in Stockton. In the past I've had moomoos, flips, innout, habit, burger from denny's, Chili's, BJ's, Applebee's, the burger truck that used to sit by Chuck e cheese, creamery, super burger drivein, so this place does a pretty good job. I'll be back again to try their other items real soon and hope that my first time wasn't a fluke *crosses fingers*

Love there sandwiches been there many times. Only down side to them is that the drive thru is slow as hell. Be prepared to wait at a minimum of 15 minutes after placing your order. And that's with nobody in front of you. So imagine if there's people in front of you. Foods go though that's the only reason I put up with the slow service.

Hamburger was alright. Chicken strips were great. Fries were crispy. Everything was Fresh. Didn’t get a picture of the cinnamon toast crunch shake we got but it was good. Restaurant was clean.

Food and service were excellent. However the bathrooms were less than to be desired. Toilet was dirty and had not been cleaned for awhile. There was dried urine on the base of the toilet. There were not any towels to dry your hands and the electric dryer didn’t work. I settled for using toilet seat covers to dry my hands. Disappointing.

I wasn't pleased by the pictures of the food. The portions were good for the money. Customer service was decent. Waiting food wasn't bad. A great amount of variety in one location.

Don't get me wrong, The hamburgers and sandwiches and burritos are absolutely delicious! The french fries are cooked perfectly but, they have a shrimp/fish like flavor... Yuck. I think they fry the shrimp in the same fryer with everything else... not good because some people are allergic to shrimp. All seven available dining tables inside were all filthy. My mom returned from the bathroom and said the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I came back another time and it was the same scene. Hygiene is terrible here. Hopefully the owner will see this and put cleaning on a regular schedule and maybe fry fish related food items in a separate fryer.

Just ok....nothing special. No smiles from cashiers...but they were not rude....food ok...i had Pastrami sub...lots of meat...sub roll was soft and easy to bite into with tasty pickles...but only had mustard...kinda dry. Also had fried mushrooms...not tasty. ..mushy frozen kind...no flavor...not worth the price. My boyfriend had a double burger with everything on it and he said it was ok...i had rootbeer float...really good and boyfriend had strawberry milkshake...he said it was great. Great presentation on icecream dishes.. 5 stars on icecream deserts!!!

I've never been into an establishment and had find someone to take my order AND not address me. All in all, I had my order taken, served and gone without much more than "anything else? 15.25." Then the person that took my order disappeared. There's no real way to see them or get their attention, so you're pretty stuck waiting for them to come back out to the front. When he came back out, I had to ask for my cup to go with my meal I had a pastrami sandwich, which was pretty good. Nations is across the street, but Nations doesn't sell pastrami sandwiches.

It was great! Kind of, it takes a few minutes for them to walk out from the back and take your order. I don’t know if it’s because of the day, I’ve only gone on Sundays, but they’ve been very slow to notice there are customers at the register. The food is great, it’s not too much, and not too little. Like with Goldilocks, it was just right. I definitely recommend this place, only for the food, because the service could use a touch more work.

The reason I am giving 3 stars is because 5 Star offers breakfast, but they don’t open until 10am. The majority of people that eat breakfast starts at 7am. I hope they change their hours in the future, otherwise what’s the point of offering breakfast?

Very good food and worth the wait to have it served fresh. Had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings and it was the best I've had here in Stockton. Edit.. last time I tried the Philly cheese steak sandwich it was off it was greasy and it was nasty this place is going downhill if they don't fix these issues

Update: Sunday, August 17, 2025 PM My son picked up dinner from here tonight and brought it over. I had two corn dogs…the idea was right but they were quite greasy‼️ I wrapped mine in paper towel towels to soak up the grease. I had $3.99 hamburger which was mediocre. I can’t quite figure out the meat. It’s quite chewy. I had a grilled cheese that I asked to be extra grilled. It wasn’t. The grilled cheese sandwich needs to have another slice of cheese and butter on both sides of the bread and then well grilled. The way they wrap it, by the time you get home it’s a soggy mess. No good. Their fries are normally pretty good. I asked for the fries to be well done… They were not. The top few have salt on them the ones toward the bottom were lacking salt. It’s too bad this place has a potential to be good but they sure miss their mark tonight‼️🫣 ——————— Update: Sunday, July 17, 2022 My only complaint…the meat is dried out and overcooked. Other than that the burgers are good. Nice big meat patties. Fresh, never frozen! Lots of thick-sliced fresh veggies i.e. lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes! Overall it makes for a nice burger. Not cheap but they are good. One of the big reasons I return is for the crinkle cut fries! I ordered a large fry tonight and i got a nice baggie packed full of hot crinkle cut fries! Eat them while they’re hot… In the car on the way home! Overall, I am raising their rating to four stars. If possible, next time I’ll ask them to make the hamburger patties medium so they’re not dried out. ________________ They have a very eclectic menu! Lots of choices. Everything is pretty much average. Nothing bad. They have crinkle-cut french fries which are very good! Sometimes I will stop by just to get an order. Right next door to Jack in the Box. A little weird. First off the lights were half off so despite there being four other groups eating there it was incredibly impossible to see and (I should have kept the receipt) but menu and what was charged wasn't the same. A combo on the menu (both paper and screen) was listed at 10.99 but I was charged 13.99, a kids meal was 4.99 but I was charged 6.49 and a grilled cheese was listed at 2.99 but I was charged 3.99. I didn't realize this until we were done with the meal. Overall it was an additional 11.00 difference. Food wasn't bad but wasn't great.

New local business in town, service was friendly. Tried chicken burger meal and veggie burger they were alright, not so bad but they weren't that good either. However the fries and cheese sticks were 5 star! Restaurant seems pretty neat and clean at the moment.

Bacon burger w/fries. I asked they not overcook the fries and they did. Burger was drenched in mustard when I did not ask for a mustard burger. My greatest disappointment with this store was that it looks dirty and grimy from lobby to bathroom. Most likely not to return and wouldn't recommend eating here.

Two stars, not 5 stars. For a $20 meal, this was seriously lacking. No real interest in customer service, shake order was taken and 15 minutes later was told the machine wasn’t working. Colleague asked for veggie burger without cheese, which came out with cheese. And a dirty bathroom to top it off.

My only problem was the restroom. It was horrible; it really looked liked Noone had ever cleaned it, it definitely wasn't cleaned that day, that's for sure. No toilet paper, had to use what little paper towels that were left, sink was filthy(I actually cleaned that off before I washed my hands), floor was filthy and sticky, toilet was disgusting(I hovered over it), & no toilet seat covers at all in the bathroom. I understand perhaps y'all get busy, but I do know that they had just opened about hour before we got there so there's no excuse why this bathroom should look this way.

The front serving area was clean, and it wasn't busy. It took almost twenty minutes to get my combo order of a western burger, fries and drink but it also looked like they only had two people working there so I can forgive that. The burger was bland and the fries, while hot and fresh, were tasteless. There was a Jack In The Box next door which I should've went to instead.

Used to pick up food here at least once a week. Never again. They let a family of 10 inside running around touching kids, straws all kinds of stuff. I walked to this place and all the lights were off. Which should have given me an idea of service I was about to receive.... Unfortunately I never got that far. I stood at the counter for 10 mins and no one ever came to help me. Someone came from the back, looked us dead in our eyes and went back to the back. Definitely weird. Never going back. Don't go here. There is no telling what was going on back there.

Paid almot 40.00 for a 2 meal burger combo. Burgers were dry bacon and meat over cooked their medium drink was a small frys were soft not crunchy decided bot to go back again not worth it

My recent visit was horrible. They for my order wrong and over priced for the food they give you. I ordered 3 make but they only took down 2 and i had 1 full size fry and barely a handful for my other order of fries. Needless to say i will not be spreading any more of my money here at all again

Bacon was burnt no avocado on my avocado burger, bread was stale , popcorn chicken did not seem like chicken it was spongy , waited 15 minutes for them to tell us they were out of chicken for our chicken sandwich.

The fish sandwich here use to be okay. I ordered today and it was extremely disappointing. After waiting for 12 minutes I received a small overcooked fish strip. Not at all worth $13.00. Very unfortunate that you had to change what you had.

Honestly the food is good, the only thing I did not like was the customer service. When I ordered through the drive through, I got my order completely wrong, and had to wait even longer. When I went inside to see what’s up, the girl who took my order just stayed in the back, and didn’t even come to apologize for it. A friend told me he also got the wrong order, and the drive through girls name was Ivery. She clearly needs more training, and needs to be told to do her job right, because it’s NOT okay that the customers who are paying for the food, have to wait even longer for our food, and not even get an apology from her.

This place has terrible service. I ordered a #1 which is the 5 Star burger combo meal. When I got home I discovered they had given me a cheap-looking chicken sandwich. They gave me the wrong order. The sandwich was inedible and I had to go to Jack in the Box to get another burger

We are outraged. We have been sitting in this drive through for 30 minutes. The ordering speaker doesn't work, they messed up our order, it is very expensive. 100% go to jack in the box right next door this is absolutely ridiculous. Do better "Five star".

came here the other day with my kids the staff looked unprofessional when we got served the food it was soggy and the bacon was burnt to a chip. Also the whole dine in was super dirty and the tables looked disgusting. Thought this would be a nice little place thought wrong.

We usually get great food from here but this time it was absolutely horrible!! We ordered hamburgers meals..we specifically asked NO LETTUCE on both burgers but I guess the employee is deaf...also the bread was super soggy the tomato definitely did not look fresh!! The meat tasted horrendous like it was left from overnight. The soda tasted like the nozzle had never been cleaned so nasty..I will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND I SUGGEST YOU DONT EITHER!!!
