Lou Malnati’s - Surprise

This place is lovely. Of course they are known for their pizza which is amazing. We also tried some of their appetizers, the combo plate with mushrooms, ravioli and cheese ...all fried of course, the sauce was amazing! So good. Loved the traditional pizza and the crust less was fantastic as well. We also tried the pink lemonade cocktail which was made well and perfect for a hot summer evening. All in all, we loved this place. Great food, great drinks, great service and nice ambiance. Definitely a new hot spot in town! Can't wait to go back.

Ate here on a Sunday at 4pm. Our mistake because even though it was early it was very busy but also a good sign. We had to wait 20 min to sit but that was ok. We ordered almost right after seating. Our waitress was very good. We ordered a Chicago deep dish and the wife got a thin crust pizza. They are known for deep dish so don’t order thin. 5 stars for the deep dish and appetizers. Only 3 stars for the thin crust. I have to say I was impressed with the deep dish. Best Chicago I’ve eaten in a long time. But just so you know it takes about 35 minutes for it to come to you since it’s a deep dish pizza. Also don’t forget you military 10% discount for vets!

Highly recommended to make reservation ahead of time. The thin crust taste better than deep dish fyi. Salad and meatballs are really good. Pizza was only ok imo.

1st time visiting, Chicago style pizza. It was good, but my favorite thing was the calamari. It was not chewy, it was delicious!

Decided to try out Lou Malnati’s for lunch with the family. We arrived around 1pm on a Thursday and were seated right away. Our server came within 5 minutes of being seated so we had some time to check out the menu, which is pretty typical for a Pizzeria. We decided on the Traditional Chicago Classic Deep dish and added onions, family size Malnati’s salad and mozzarella bites. When the salad came it was huge! I asked our server what the other size salad served and he said 3-4 people, I suggested that next time he mention that so the customer is aware 🤪 We are a family of 4 and one of us doesn’t eat salad🤣 The salad was delicious and I would order it with the dressing on the side so we could take the rest home. The mozzarella bites were good too and not greasy👍🏼 When the pizza came out the server served is our pizza, which I thought was really nice. Im not a big deep dish pizza person but I have to say this was pretty good. We all enjoyed our food and our server made sure our drinks were never empty. Would come back back :)

I got a seat at the bar. The manager switch the channel on the TV for me. I ordered 2 different cocktails and both were very good. I tried the personal size pizza and it came out quickly. Was very hot. Which is a good thing. Im not going to say it was the best pizza I've ever tasted but I enjoyed it. Everything was good for me. No complaints at all. The bartender was cool as well. Dude knew the menu front & back.

Ordered the personal size deep dish Margherita pesto pizza.. deep dish? Not even close. See the picture. I saw other orders of deep dish from people around us, and they were much thicker, but also a larger size pizza. The sauce was bland, could definitely use some more seasoning. Bruschetta toppings were fresh. Good bread too. My wife ordered the gluten free veggie, hers was pretty good. Service was good.

Um...I might get roasted for this, but I really can't believe how their pizza, which should be the star of the show, was so bad!! All 3 pizzas tasted like they had a musty alcohol taste to them, it's hard to describe. Just not great flavors, and there were 3 pizzas, so 3 chances to taste good! So sad. The fried mozzarella balls were good! The 🥗 with the sweet vinaigrette was good, so I'd come back for that. But that's sad to say I'd travel to a pizza restaurant in order to get a salad. 🤦‍♀️ Building was beautiful, the decor and vibes were nice inside.

really wanted to give this place another chance, but unfortunately it was just as disappointing as the first time. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food. The calamari came out cold, the wings were room temperature at best, and the pizza was below average. The appetizer came out, and then about five minutes later the pizza followed — the timing felt off and nothing was hot or fresh. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after my first visit since it was during their grand opening, but sadly the experience hasn’t improved. Highly disappointed. I’d recommend saving your time and money and trying one of the many other great spots nearby instead.

Visited the restaurant 2/18/26 at around 1:30 PM. We were promptly greeted, told to wait while a booth was cleaned, then were seated with menus. After about 15 minutes of waiting, we were asked if we'd like to order a beverage. We replied no, we'd like to order a pizza. That was the first and last time we spoke to an employee. After waiting another 10 minutes, we decided to leave and have a late lunch elsewhere. We will give the restaurant another try as our first experience during Happy Hour was excellent.
