This place is great!! Food amazing I love the menudo and here is one of the best I ever tried! Super recommended
The team at El Tasaco in Sylmar was incredible! Not only did they provide excellent service, but they also took the time to explain the menu and drinks in detail. Their commitment to ensuring I was satisfied throughout the process was remarkable Our server Issac and Mari Tere made the whole experiance smooth, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout. Thank you so much for such excellent service, food and drinks El Tarasco!!!
We come here for breakfast, early mornings on weekends as this place gets full. If you are hungry, the green and red chilaquiles with steak and eggs served on a wood board is the way go. The steak is cooked to perfection. This plate is probably better shared. The cafe de olla is also very good and refills are frequent.
I love the food and the plates a so big you can feed up to 3 people with one plate. I recommend it to anyone who loves authentic mexican food.
Excellent place with good food I highly recommend the chilaquiles plate to share with someone. Only bad thing about this place is the lack of handicap parking
I personally I give this restaurants a 5 star. The chilakiles TRAY are the best specialy there Ranchera so soft and delicious like butter it melts in your mouth. LOVE EL TARASCO.
Went for the first time with friends, I tried their carne asada, I must say one of their best dishes as well as their pozole. Delisious. Can be a bit pricey but taste was great!
El Tarrasco Restaurant it's your spot. If you're looking for a solid Mexican place, El Tarrasco Restaurant hits the mark especially if you love great margaritas and flavorful appetizers. From the moment we walked in, (Been there twice) the service stood out. A friendly lady greeted us at the door, and although it was a Dodgers night with the game on, the place wasn’t too crowded just a chill, welcoming vibe. I am a returned customer I went fornthe first time few a years ago, and I’m glad I did! The food is absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. I was seriously craving taquitos dorados, and they did not disappoint. Crispy, tasty, and perfectly plated, served with rice and beans and a pinch of avocado on top of the taquitos. Just perfect. One thing I have to emphasize, was that they make the best salsa fresh, bold, and just the right kick not too hot, just perfect. Can’t wait to go back again! We paid 70+ for a serving for 4 people, I took 2 extra small sides of rice and beans, and left a modest tip.
This is a very nicely decorated restaurant with a very authentic menu. The service was the icing on the cake. The burrito, taquitos, agua chile, carne basada, and the ribs in molcajete sauce were delicious. We also had an appetizer and what impressed me the most is that the thin cut chicken breast was not dry. Amazing and amazing Paloma.
Fast service. Food was delicious. My tortilla soup was a bit on the super spicy side but was delicious. Parking is a little confusing but we found it. Park on the back rows of the liquor
A nice restaurant with good vibes. Live music. Two television screens playing sports. The margarita was honestly the best thing. The food was basic, not filling, and small portioned. I'd come back for the margarita for sure, just go somewhere else for the food. The 4 star rating was for the restaurant and the marg.
Love coming here for drinks with friends and co-workers. They have thee best margaritas!! The food is decent BUT just know that when you come here the drinks by far outweigh the food. Service sometimes is inconsistent, especially when they have big groups and are busy. Regardless, still like coming here
The waitress's service was very good, but the food was not good... I ordered the famous ribs in spicy sauce, they had nothing, they were in a pure tomato sauce and tasteless, but yes, the prices are like all restaurants in good quality. leaf and how they charge the dishes were delicious.
This was my 1st time here I don't like going places that are too close to home but this was recommended by a great chef the service was a not too good the food was great however I did have to send it back and ask for it to be done the way it was on the menu they played live music which was nice the environment is also nice the décor is nice. The parking situation is not too good other than that it's OK
My bacon was not done at all on my breakfast burrito. Crispy is what I should of said instead of Raw. I ask for onions and cilantro and I got bacon I picked out with my tongue cause I don't eat raw pork.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, but sadly, I think this may be my last visit. What started as a place with amazing food and countless memories seems to have lost its magic. Hopefully, I’m wrong, but after tonight, I’m not sure I’ll be back. I ordered the Shrimp fajitas and steak, and my wife had the Caldo de Rez. The food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The flavors that once made this place special just weren’t there. The beans were ok, but everything else felt underwhelming. The fajitas and shrimp lacked seasoning, the beef was overcooked, and the caldo tasted like it had been sitting too long. Even the horchata was overly sweet. Service was just okay, and while it was busy, it seemed like they were struggling to keep up. This place used to be a favorite – I remember the vibrant flavors and those unforgettable drinks that made for so many good times here. Now, it feels like the magic is gone, perhaps due to new ownership or a change in the kitchen. I can only hope this was just an off night, and they’ll return to the quality that kept me coming back for so many years. To the team here: prove me wrong. Show me that this was just one bad experience, that the legacy lives on, and the flavors can come back. I want to believe it, but if not, this is goodbye.
Disappointed. First, the menudo was good. The Tortillas were also good. SERVICE, or lack or service. For our entire meal not one time did a blue hair server stop at or table to take our order, check on us or even bring us the bill. The host noticed that we were there for a bit unattended so he brought our drinks. A busboy took our order. I had to ask for the bill from a staff member. The chunky blue haired lady never even turned to look at us the whole time. She did stop and talk with the regulars though. We will never return nor members of our family that live two blocks away as we shared what happened. Plenty of restaurants in Sylmar. I'm sure they won't miss our business as we won't miss dinning there.
9 of us went to Tarasco and it was bad, ordered ice tea that I never received, asked for a house salad but they had no dressing, my sister ordered menudo little meat alot of hamony, for health reasons, they gave her a bowl of all meat no hamony, they placed two plates on our table and I thought someone ordered a appetizer, I ate a shrimp with my fingers as did my brother in law, waitress came back took the plates saying there some other table and went and gave them the plates we had used or fingers to eat shrimps, disgusting, menudo finally arrives with cold hamony in separate bowl, the worst experience and when we told the waitress she didn't seem to care, never going back, imagine strangers sticking their fingers in your food before you receive the food and waitress did not care, bet that is not the first time Tarasco has done that. Forgot to.mention my wife ordered a chicken taco they gave her a potato taco. She said let me eat so we can get out of here, called and talked to the lady in charge she was aware of the problem because someone from our party had already called no come in and we will give the correct taco, nothing all she said was I will look at security tape, very cold, place is going down hill and very unsanitary
First and foremost, I am very careful on reviews I post because Understanding that they can have an impact on future go to places. I gave them a lower than than usual because they took 54 minutes to bring out our food, I noticed 4 other parties that arrived after us and got their food before us. In my many years of posting a out my experience this is the secound time I do not leave a tip, usually do 20% I counted 5 tables that were empty so busy was not the problem. Food was good but cold and late. I hope ownership addresses the Issues. By the way our lunch was $89.00 for two of us.
